Business › Re: Sanusi Says: Bank CEO's Should Be Tied To Stake And Shot Dead. by vislabraye(m): 3:41am On Oct 27, 2009
I don't understand why people in NL are criticizing the achievement of Sanusi. He spotted out something that wasn't right in the banking sector, and people start complaining. I hears someone say something like " is it the fault of the bankers if their depositors don't pay?. Some people say the CEOs did nothing wrong, May be you guys donnot know the magnitude of the FRAUD these bankers had been committing. For instance it was said that the CEO of Oceanic bank acquired a property for about 18million dollars in the name of the bank, and later spent several millions on renovating the same property. It was a very messy deal.
And ofcourse they'd been borrowing money from the bank using fronts. These same people would give a small banker target; go and bring 10billion naira. They dont want 2 know how it is done. Just do it.
I just hope sanusi profers a very good solution

Its really sickening that a country so blessed as Nigeria is riddled with corruption from every facet. the most painful thing is we struggle with things that just a single policy properly enforced can take care of. The same Office/body who gave JAMB the power to conduct exam for entrance into the university got up and approved a post exam for entrance into the same university!!!! if JAMB is not efficient why don't you scap it and set up a different one instead of making life harder for those who want to go to school in a country with ones among the worst graduates in the world. Instead of encourging education you are now making it inaccessible. Its heartbreaking that the same story with the Nigeria oil is told in the educational sector, Nigeria rich with oil and yet amongst the poorest in the world, Nigeria has the brightest minds in the world yet one of the poorly educated nation in the world.
When are we getting out of this Mr. Lecturer turned presidenthuh??

That Mr. of education should go back to Ebonyi state, There are rice farms there for him to work in!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly, thats just my point. They are all bunch of confusionist who are trying to deceive themselves.

Politics › Re: BBC Documentary On Rebranding Nigeria by vislabraye(m): 1:13am On Oct 27, 2009
Madam Dora is sincerely doing her best, but i think it would have been the best for her and the country if she remained in the health sector. Since she'd been the minister of information we keep hearing funny stories which i believe is intended to rubbish the name she had worked so hard to build.

Rebranding Nigeria is like pouring whitewash on a dirty wall. First of all clean the wall before carrying the former. People have eyes and can see the problems and corruption in this country which is so much that ordinary rebranding cannot solve. As i'm typing at the moment, there are some government workers embezzling money somewhere. He knows that the worse that can happen to him if he's caught is to refund all he has stolen ( those they can see ofcourse). We still have problem with power after billions have been spent to rectify it. These and many more are the problems which rebranding cannot solve. We need to take decisive action.

As for BBC and CNN, what are they meant for? They are propaganda machines of the west. These news network look for the slightest opportunity to ridicule Africans especially Nigerians and the bad thing about it is that we give them the opportunity. We should try to put our house in order.
Also, i don't think it would be a bad idea if we hit back at them. For instance, if you go to the British museum, you would see alot of Nigerian artefacts. It pains me alot. Our leaders have done nothing to collect them back from those thieves, rather they are busy looting public funds. Why wont we be laughing stock?

Nigerians just can`t read, the article never mentioned anything about the 30 plp being killed 4 not having any papers, the world knows death is the penalty 4 drug dealing in china, knowing our people they were must likely killed 4 drug dealing. Guys learn to read. U guys should show some class and learn to make a point without insulting, lady @sean as shown her maturity by not insulting any of u guys that have been rude to her, she`s got more brains than most of u guys that can`t debate or make a point without abuse. China kills 4 drug trafficking, regardless of where u from. Y do we act like morons. Big blind country.
So i believe you can read very well. Neither did the article mention anything about the executed Nigerians as drug dealers. They were executed for "reasons yet to be ascertained". Why don't you give the Nigerians the benefit of the doubt, you have already concluded that they were guilty of dealing with drugs. If you were a member of rep, and you hear that some Nigerians were executed for reasons that were unclear, would you keep quiet about it? Some months ago, there was news that a Nigerian lady was caught in Bangkok with drugs and was to be executed, did the reps complain? No. Because she was already found guilty of drug smuggling. In this case, we donnot know the the offense of the 30 executed Nigerians.

Y do we act like morons at least you can identify with Nigerians smiley

Education › Re: ASUU Declares Post-UME Illegal by vislabraye(m): 5:45pm On Oct 24, 2009
Nigerians like making things more difficult for its citizens. this PUME is just a way of reducing the number of students being admitted or just a way to make money,

Personally i dont see the sense for the ministry of education to implement post UME, and at the same time its still the same ministry that set up JAMB. Are they trying to say that jamb is not competent enough? Or Are the school authorities not also members of ASUU? Is it not the same ASUU that conducts the PUME exams? They are all bunch of confusionists
Politics › Re: Achebe To Nigerian Youths: Rise And Reclaim Your Country by vislabraye(m): 1:28pm On Oct 24, 2009
If I have my way I will go far beyond taxing the churches. I will hand over churches to states and stop individuals or companies from owning churches. My reason being, so that when people like Aloy-Emeka go and pay their 10% tithe to God, the money will go to that state and will be used indirectly to build central sewage system, refuse recycling plant, construct and maintain roads, maintain security, train local manpower for on going maintenance of state projects etc. And my brother Aloy can then kneel down and pray to God and say! THANK YOU GOD FOR ANSWERING ALL MY PRAYERS, MY 10% TITHE IS REALLY WORKING.

What has taxing of churches got to do with moving Nigeria 4ward? Do you know the amount of Nigerian money lying outside in foreign bank accounts? When you should be attacking politicians, you're attacking churches. Mind you some of these churhes have done what the states should be doing ie constructing roads, visiting motherless homes etc. How much have these politicians spent on their fellow citizens?

This present generation of politicians are crooks. They should be expunged out of our system like gangrene should be cut off

@ Sean T, it's very obvious that u are not a Nigerian as ure trying to imply that all Nigerians are criminals.

If it were liberians that were killed, i'm sure it wouldn't even be mentioned at all cos you guys are not recognised. Just a scattered and dysfuntional nation, full of war criminals and prostitutes. A lot of Liberians even carry Nigeria passports.

It amazes me why people should travel to China in the 1st place. Every one should be weary of Asian countries, esp the fast east

It's very unfortunate. Nigeria seems to me as the most hated nation on earth. it's very embarassing to hear how Nigerians get killed in large numbers abroad. China is not the only country that kills Nigerians UNJUSTLY, even a useless country like Liberia kills Nigerians and get away with it. This is something our minister of information should look into. Part of the problem is with the way Nigerians treat themselves.
This act of the Chinese should be condemned. I read some posts in this forum trying to justify the barbaric acts of the Chinese. How many foreigners have nigerians killed?
Christianity Etc › Re: Woman Sues Faith Academy Over Child's Death by vislabraye(m): 2:42am On Oct 23, 2009
It's very pathetic to hear something like this. The lady in question would have spent millions in training that child, only to die like a chicken. I would very much like to hear the other side of the story,
As it is, there is so much controversy surrounding that institution. First, we heard that people who tested positive for HIV or pregnancy were not allowed to graduate. We also heard that the institution expelled 120 students for not coming to the assembly with their bible. Now, some one died.
i think it would be in the best interest of the school to clear their name

It's not his fault that he is ill, we should stop blaming and castigating him. Some people are making jest of him which isn't fair at all.
Judging from what has been said, i think it would be best to either resign or to stay put in Aso villa. It won't be proper for a president to collapse on almost every given occasion.

If he can rule this nation well, i don't think his health would be an issue

Its really a shame whats happening in Liverpool. Rafa has lost it, or should i say he's not in coaching form. He has good pedigree, but he's a flop at the moment. I think Liverpool owners are very patient. If it were Roman, he would be fired long ago. Liverpool FC have some of the best players in the league, 4get the fact that Torres and Gerrard are injured. Just imagine the match against Lyon. When i saw the starting line up, Ngog as a top striker, i wasn't comfortable. His formation these days are just huh.

It takes a lot of inner strenght, boldness and belief in yourself to resign from your work. But sometimes its neccesary and a step in the right direction. I did just the same thing on friday last week. I resigned from work because i couldnt slave a minute longer in the name of marketing. They gave me unbelievable target of five million naira monthly for a stockbroking firm that aint really known. I spent all my life savings , close to 45k, trekking to and fro, making local and international calls, browsing and chatting with would be investors, getting clothes cos they said looking good would make an impression. Not to talk of their incompetence , lack of efficienc y and ancient methods or deceptive ways of treating clients.I tried my best to do all i could to help them improve it all but the last straw was when the management backed out on the initial agreed pay of 40k and said since we didnt meet target we would be payed only 10k travelling allowances. God i was furious. I had spent more than 45k out of my lean savings for christs sake. How can i be worth only 10k to this people, a graduate for that matter. So i quit with my dignity intact. I know i will get something better but as long as i live i wont forgive that company cos they made me resign from my former workplace where i was paid 30k. So i would make sure i bring them down if that is the last thing i do.
Thats ridiculous. sometimes desperation can make someone reduce his self worth. And the most annoying thing is that some of these organizations have the effontry to ask for a GRADUATE. thats a job 4 a school cert.

All thanks to the older generation. Many of them are dead and/or dying and the only legacy they have left us with is this gabbage of a nation. But what else can we do? We have to fight for this nation. But are we united? Take Ghana for example; they took their destiny into their own hands and killed their corrupt leaders. Nigerians are always saying "one day e go better", I hope this does not turn out to be a mirage.

If PFN and other religious bodies can unite with one voice and challenge this government, I feel they would listen. But most of our corrupt leaders have very good rapport with the pastors huh

Ladies that are PID today may not be tomorrow. They age faster than men do. At the end of the day, after years of posing, they'll need to settle down have kids, and warm the bed of a man. In conclusion, its a man's world
