Don't let envy and jealousy drive you. Focus on the main thing. The main thing is that what is on payslip is practically what is not up to standard. Running after politicians is what folks have been doing from time immemorial. If you like reduce govt expenses to 1,000 Naira per month, it doesn't change the fact that human beings are being treated worse than machines.

Ask yourself, is it the politician's pay that is my problem, or is it the peanuts a human gets paid at the end of over 150 hours of a month? Even if minimum wage were 200 Naira per hour, a human being cannot be paid 18k for working over 150 hours of a week.

When they implement it, then they KNOW how to pay it. Don't make leaders' work easier for them by being short sighted. You will only be shortchanging yourself or others who are not as skilled as you may be. Those folks earn millions because of the massive work they SHOULD be doing Which of course they don't do, all thanks to the ignorant people they lead.

Those governors not paying should be impeached. Being a leader is not fun. If you cannot think of solutions, FŪCK OFF!

I think he was referring to a reduction in the overblown government expenditure especially for people like sitting senators, unneccessarily high payments to past presidents etc and transferring such difference to make up for the increase in salaries.
Our high ranking public sector offilans earn one of the highest salaries in the world at around $65k (N29Mn) and yet pay the lowest in min wage. Even Algeria and Cameroon pay higher at $175 and $75 respectively and we pay $38 yet their lawmakers earn less. Its ridic!

Being informed by my client that its been shut as at an hour ago.
I guess NLC needed to send a strong message to the FG and hit them where revenue generation would be painful.
Now passenger and light goods traffic into and out of the country is in jeopardy.
They may soon head for the Seaports and terminals.
ASUU may soon join and with all this, it gradually shuts down the private sector as well especially those heavily reliant on imports to work.
A pity.

My own is that NUPENG should not just try anything!

If you checkout CNN website you will see what wreckage typhoons, Hurricanes etc cause including the high death tolls.
And btw, these are countries with better pre warning disaster management o.
Let's take Hurricane Manghut or what is it called that wrecked havoc in China and other low lying countries around the Pacific just few weeks ago.
If you see vids of surge waters pulling houses, flooding streets, airports, ships.....
It comes as a surge.
You will be in your house, block all access to water and be prepared to wait it out.
The sheer force of the surge will tear down a part of your house and just sweep you away.
I remember a family that was interviewed in China, the crying woman's 2 month old was literally pulled off from her arms by flood waters - they haven't found the body till date.
Its unfortunate o. Just one of those things.

The APC rigged the election Yes, but in my personal opinion the Better man won.
I define "Better" here as the lesser of the twin demons for now.
Can't be having a governor that failed to provide a mandate, exhibit his understanding of governance or demonstrate his capability - mentally, educationally to handle oversight of an entire State and its people.
Can't be dancing around Government House everyday of the week.

And PS: I do NOT support Buhari's government. I refuse to be Partisan but view things with respect to individual irrespective of the political party he / she is affiliated to.

A cousin got a good job that pays six figures and is expected to start in a week. The few days to commencement of work he received an interview invite from a multinational company that will pay him thrice and other amazing benefits. It is a sort after position and there is no guarantees that he may get in even though he is a bright and an intelligent dude.
He has resigned from his former position and is waiting patiently to start the new work before this interview invitation popped up. What do you suggest he'd do?

Some things that look like blessings may just not be. But let me now sound like an over religious zealot.
Is there a way he can delay his resumption by a few days so he attends the interview?
Personally, I will NEVER advice he should not start the new place first and maybe take a day off to attend the other interview or something.
Sometimes too, never forget that money is not the answer to it all - job satisfaction and an environment that harnesses individuality and potential matters too.
I wish him luck on whatever his decisioon, 6 figure salary ain't no joke.

I love science too and I am always checking out Discovery Science channel.
There is something called Carbon Dating - I leanrt that on the channel when there was a documentary on a claim about the Shroud of Turin.
Anyway, researchers use this Carbon dating thing to determine the amount of radioactive decay of carbon-14 versus Carbon 14 in our own time and thus use it to tell the age of artifacts such as this (which was a formerly a living thing).

BTW, are they unaware that a simple visit to a clinic and body examination will reveal the mother of the child in a couple of minutes even days / weeks after giving birth?
