PDP made the right calculations. Find a good northern candidates who can get a good share of Northern votes, pair him up with a good southern candidate that will guarantee S.S/S.E votes and the few renegade yoruba votes and they are good to go.
I am Igbo and i support this move. I have no ill feelings toward the northerners. I hate only those extremists that luckily for me,have packed themselves into APC. I want biafra. But while we seek it,we should use subtle moves like this to pave our way to the ccenter |

I am not holding brief for saraki or anyone but it is clear that saraki wants to be made a scape-goat and those senators lining up behind him know this truth. The CCB or CCT had all the time in the world to prosecute saraki since 2003. It waited and now reared its head now. This is a case of the witch cried in the night, the baby died in the morning. Politics › Hoteliers Beg Aregbesola To Pay His Debts by vivalavida(op): 3:59pm On Sep 27, 2015 |
Some hoteliers operating in Osun State have asked Governor Rauf Aregbesola to defray bills incurred by guests of the state government who lodged in their facilities. The hoteliers said this in a statement made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Saturday by their spokesperson, Babatunde Karim. Although the hoteliers lauded Aregbesola’s policies in the tourism and hospitality business, they said the indebtedness had crippled some hotels. They appealed to the governor to settle bills incurred from March 2014 to date to enable them continue in business. The statement read,“We are gasping for breath now and business has slowed down because of poor patronage and indebtedness to many hotels in Osogbo. We remain a strong supporter of the administration of Ogbeni Aregbesola and hope he will take us into consideration while taking critical decision on how to stabilise private businesses in the state. “It is pertinent to note here that all policies and programmes of Aregbesola’s administration in the tourism and hospitality sector in the state, have impacted positively on our business, but we urge him to take urgent steps to further protect our investments from crumbling by paying promptly for the services we have rendered.” “Many hotels are retrenching because of huge amount owed them by government. Some could no longer cope and have dropped out of business. We urge him to please pay us the money to prevent total collapse of the sector.” Efforts to confirm from the governor’s media aide, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, were unsuccessful. Calls put across to his telephone did not connect while text message sent to his telephone as well as inquiries sent to his email were yet to be responded to as of the time of filing this report. http://www.punchng.com/news/hoteliers-plead-with-aregbesola-to-pay-debts/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter |

Why do you think you are important? Because some persons celebrate you here on nairaland "just for fun" because they have nothing to do? How many newspapers or television stations have featured your so-called article? Whatever you write or say here dies here. Nobody knows you. So stop running from your shadow.

When Ukariwo’s wife went on maternity a few months ago, he was fully in charge frying akara in the morning and evening couple with getting the five children ready for school in the morning and picking them after classes. “Thefact that I didn’t get conventional education will not be a barrier for my children; I will make sure they get the best I can afford for now.”
this is the Igbo spirit. It is the driving force behind every igbo family. uneducated fathers hustle to make sure they bequeath sound education to their wards. that is why it is difficult not to see an Igbo family without a graduate. God bless this man |

“In the 2015 elections, Ndigbos made a clear choice; it was decisive. We made the best choice, as known to us. So, we have no regrets — whether, or not, we are being punished for that choice. We are in a democracy. The president is the president of all, irrespective of how any region voted. “This simply shows character, that if an Igbo man decides to support you, he does so no matter the consequence. That shows we are unwaivered,” he said
So true
According to him, the region realises that the government of the day is undermining Ndigbos by virtue of appointments so far made, but said the region remains unperturbed. “Ndigbos are strong people. We are like a phoenix; we always rise from our ashes. We cannot be broken as a people. We will surely get to the promised land,” he added.

Thank you also for the falling standard of education in imo state. We are gradually descending the achievement ladder and if care is not taking,we will be fighting for the back seats with those northern states where ur real progenitors hail from Thank you for turning imo state govt into a family organisation. Your chief of staff is your son-in-law. Your former ssg is your in-law. This is the kind of arrangement that can only be found in northern Nigeria. And thank you my fellow imolites for embracing the darkness called Rochas. We had the opportunity to kick his sorry ass out but due to the hatred orlu zone and okigwe zone had for owerri zone, they made sure Ihedioha never emerged as governor. We shall stumble in this dark tunnel for the next four years and i hope this teaches us a lesson.
