its a lie. Lagos has the highest crime rate in nigeria and enugu has the lowest. Do you recall when apc protesters burnt luxury buses belonging to an igbo transporter earlier this year?

If peace is the factor why are other places in SW that are more peaceful than lagos still villages?

The truth is lagos enjoys special attention from fg govt starting from colonial times till now. Should the seaport in portharcourt or onitsha stop being a subject of politics, lagos will suffer. Which is why you guys hold on to one nigeria.

Coming to leadership sw has the worst in the country save fayose. Lagos has the largest dept profile despite huge revenue, what of osun? The leadership in the east is the most visionary but seems emasculated by fg's policies and u know that.

I also heard you mentioning disposable income in Sw. That is a height of delusion! Sw is the most impoverished region aside north. Why do you thing ibadan oshgbo abeokuta are slums while enugu onitsha aba owerri ph awka and asaba are bubbling?

as for dangote, we dont beg for his investment he knows that too. He also knows he would be outcompeted hence he conspired with obj to shut down ibeto plant in ph.

Like i said politics is the thing not your so called peace. Igboland is peaceful but nigeria is an igbophobic country

Buhari shouldn't just go to south Africa and come back home empty handed. by now,his travellings should be yielding deals, commitments from world leaders and bringing investors to Nigeria. I doubt if he has been able to do any of these. if he can't do these, then he should sit back at home and attend to the issues Nigeria is grappling with

ojosegun2011:
Stupidity is cultural and hereditry. I haven't come across any commentary where American or British government heads are being derogatorily abused on social Media or on pages of newspapers. From President Obasanjo to President Jonathan and President Buhari, even the late President Yar A'dua who died in office without any known misdemeanor is not spared of smear campaigns by Nigerians. Though, these insults on our national figures became more pronounced on the social media during the tenure of President Goodluck Jonathan by politicians of APC and nPDP extractions. The most prominent abusers of our leaders are traceable to the people of South East of Igbo extraction. Most of them, at any slightest opportunity, express opinions full of hate and unimaginable vendetta. Most of the times, unfortunately, their comments have no bearings with the topics of discuss or subject matter. If they are not cursing PMB, they will be attacking OBJ, or cursing GEJ or castigating people from the Yoruba nation. Why are we bitter like this against ourselves. The bitterness of the failed Biafra war of 1967 to 1970 is still raging in an average Igbo man. Their hatred for Yoruba over that pooly planned secession is endless. And according to history given to us, I understand the Col. Ojukwu-led seccession didn't carry anybody along, we were told that they even planned to over run Yorubaland including Lagos through Ore, in Ondo state. Instead of the Yorubas seeing them as traitors, they accused Chief Awolowo of betraying them over a war they never planned or agreed together to prosecute. I only pray for Nigeria to continue to be one. If the Yorubas decide to break away from Nigeria today, not a single bullet will be fired but thank God Yorubas are nation builders and not breakers. We fight intelligent wars. Yorubas are tacticians. We are gifted. Many other tribes are also gifted in Nigeria like the Yorubas, no doubt about that but we learn how to make our case plausible before it gets to the round table for settlement. I remember my mother once told me that "ejo la nko,a o ki n ko ija," meaning we learn how to defend ourselves verbally first before we learn how to fight physically. That's why a Yoruba man will never join a fight unless he asks what causes it, even if you are fighting his sibling unlike others who will join their kinsmen without investigation. So I will appeal to our brothers from that side to stop degrading our leaders on social media. It is affecting our people outside Nigeria.
Mentally, you are slow. Slower than buhari. The igbos u mentioned never fancied APC as a party. Last dispensation,APC and it hordes of agberos and almajiris launched avalanche of insults on our ex-president. It was sickening to watch how El-rufai,fashola and co led the parade.
Now the table has turned. Buhari is just getting what Jonathan got. Sadly,it is not ending anytime soon. So stop playing the victim card here and tell the fucking President Buhari to start acting

This is the crux of the matter which certain parts of this country have continued to deny for selfish reasons. We are not one country. That is why ethnicity and tribalism is brought into any issue. Buhari is not doing good but as far he is hausa/fulani,the whole north is ok with his performance. Until we come together and agree that this one Nigeria thing is a farce, nepotism, tribalism, ethnicity and mediocrity will always hold sway in the way things are seen and done in this fooolish country
Politics › Kenyan President Declares Corruption A National Threat by vivalavida(op): 7:11pm On Nov 23, 2015
Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday declared government corruption a national security threat, linking it to terrorist attacks.“The bribe accepted by an official can lead to successful terrorist attacks thatkill Kenyans.“It can let a criminal off the hook for them to return to crime and harm Kenyans,” Kenyatta said.According to Kenyatta, the economic damage done by corruption also could put millions of lives at peril. His remarks came two days after planning minister, Anne Waiguru, stepped down over allegations that she had failed to stop the theft of 7.6 million dollars from a national youth empowerment programme.Five other ministers and 175 officials have also been suspended over accusations of corruption and abuse of office. The president said he had asked the intelligence services to monitor graft suspects in Kenya, where the Somali Islamist group al-Shabaab had killed hundreds of people over the past two years. Its biggest attacks targeted an eastern university campus, where at least 148 people were killed in April, and Nairobi’s Westgate shopping mall, where at least 67 people died in September.

This was how the PDP told us that Yaradua was hale and hearty, even after various reputable sources had claimed otherwise. I can still remember September 17, 2008 like if it was yesterday. After a heated board room meeting by the ChannelsTV board members on if to report the news or not. We eventually decided to report it, because we felt the people had a right to know. But after reporting it. Men of the SS stormed our office and treated us like terrorists. Eventually, we were vindicated. But in this case, I hope the APC candidate is hale and hearty.

I will never sacrifice this for any family in the name of marriage. It is not about being broke, it is about teaching a greedy and gluttonous family how to be considerate and loving.

I'm not buying a wife for crying out loud. I'm simply marrying a wife.

Funny thing is, most of these girls aren't virgins. Did her first man paid anything to the family?

I'd advise the girl to write a proposal soliciting fund from her ex and campus boyfriends in order to pay her family.

Assuming she had s exed 6 boyfriends on campus, they all should pay N80k each, then give the money to the new husband to pay her family OFF.

Politics › Jonathan Is The Symbol Of Democracy - Jimmy Carter by vivalavida(op): 7:29am On Nov 20, 2015
Former United States President Jimmy Carter has described Nigeria’s former president Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, as a symbol of democracy on the African continent.
Carter, the 39th US President, said this when he received Jonathan yesterday at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum located at the Carter Centre in Atlanta.
In a statement, the two former presidents held a fruitful meeting at the carter Centre where they held wide-ranging discussion on global issues and shared views on how to promote peace, democracy and good governance in Africa and the world.

Speaking on Jonathan’s time in office, Carter said: “President Jonathan is the symbol of democracy in action. You set an example that other African leaders should follow.”

The former American president further praised Jonathan for organising a transparent election and easily conceded defeat by handing over to the opposition, stressing that by doing so, Jonathan showed his deep democratic commitment.

In his remarks, Jonathan stated that his actions while in office were informed by his belief in a peaceful, transparent and people-oriented governance, adding that Africa can only move forward through democracy and good governance.

Jonathan also commended President Carter for the exemplary manner he led in his post-presidential life, adding that he was inspired by Carter’s commitment to causes which advance the path of humanity.

The statement said Jonathan and Carter shared a common experience as one term presidents and have both retired involuntarily from politics while rededicating their lives towards making the world a better place.[/quote]http://sunnewsonline.com/new/jonathan-is-symbol-of-democracy-says-us/
