francizy: Permit me to say that you and that old man who quoted you first are ignorantly hypocritical. You were the first person that raised this nonsense here as if SS/SE you label as ill-informed forced you to merge with and vote the "born to rule" into power. If the Hausa/Fulani takes all positions, then so be it. We are cool with it because Tinubu's father is not from SE while his mother is not from SS.
You can't even put your brain into good use. Some of us who saw this coming raised the alarm, you tribalistic and bigotic lots who claimed to be marginalized during GEJ tenure called us enemies of progress. You lots claimed to be fighting for the course of the country, although we knew those stupîd gimmicks and what they stood for, TRIBALISM.
I've always been on a low on this forum but I now wish to stand my ground and give you hypocritical midgets the words you deserve. Don't fail in class and call on another student as the course of your failure. You unexposed lots that never stepped foot outside your regions saw warnings and the red light ahead but kept a blind eye to it. Believing that any which way, you guys will be compensated. I knew that it will only take God's intervention for these people to even consider compensating you.
Mr. Tinubu (the greatest political strategist that Nigeria has ever seen) must have thought that Nigeria is Lagos state (in which case he's sitting on a landmine) where only one man can run the affairs for over 16 years as if he's an emperor. Now he's under pressure because his own people he find difficult placing in positions. Left for me, let the north rule all positions till eternity so that we show the world who really lusts for top positions. Come to my village and see how my kinsmen used their money to fix all roads leading into my village. In other parts of the country, people would naturally wait for the government to do such stuffs.
We saw this and fought against it but you lots called us crooks and the problem of Nigeria while still staying loyal to the "born to rule" of Nigeria. May God not forgive any man who lays unnecessary blames on SE/SS people for any failure of their political sophistication.

I love barcanista for one thing. The guy digs and researches well and his articles and points are always on point.
Biafra and the Niger delta dont belong in this contraption called Nigeria. We have nothing in common with the southwesterners and the northern feudal revanchist. Any steps being taken to cancel this forced marriage by lord lugard is supportrd fully by me. |

Proudly Imo But i rejoice with my brethren from anambra. It is so sad my state has to deal with a con-man @ the helm of affairs for another four years. A con-man who specializes in populist and welfarist programmes. Free education is cool but in igbo land,we only value what we pay for. Look @ how his free education is gradually dragging my state backward.

omonnakoda: Firstly she did not "defend liberal economy or IMF" and if she did that is an opinion I do not see what qualifies you or anyone to say it is right or wrong any more than saying one political candidate is better or worse. Economic opinions are not an empirical science. Without dwelling on the opinions she has which I do not agree or disagree with I watched the clip to see how she disgraced herself Firstly she was not nakedd or drunk She spoke thoughtfully ,intelligently and articulately in the face on an interview style that was overly intrusive. It is not the job of an interviewer to debate an interviewee but to question . In this case he badgered her quite rudely when he did not give an answer he liked e.g requiring her to give an opinion that was potentially libelous on Obasanjo. Again when she indicated that she was not a partisan politician he persisted that is debating not interviewing there is a difference. She answered the question and he should move on. Importantly in the face of all that she did not lose her cool as some might have which was quite mature. I do not see economic opinion or politics as areas of mathematical precision He cited information from "Wikileaks" as FACTS which of course are debatable. .What is important is that people have a logical basis for their position. Equally there may be a logical position for an opposing perspective. I therefore wonder from which altar you deign to pronounce that she was "wrong" by the way she never worked for the IMF but the World Bank, She admitted the need for those institutions to change and even proposed that they should cease to exist by 2033. She did say that African leaders need to show more assertiveness in rejecting policies that did not suit them When isha sesay was badgering the likes of labran maku and doyin okupe, peepz like u were having premature ejaculation. Now it is this fool of a woman and u remember to use the word badger. Hypocrisy |

palma: Really i dont like quoting people unless statement is directed at me. What has tribe got to do with divorce? Or do you just like creating tribal arguments? So no igbo or hausa divorces? So its only a yoruba woman that cheats? Really? I am quite disappointed with your statement as you were suppose to be matured and learned, this statement does not show that.
Moreover because she bears sefinat does not not necessarily means shes yoruba. I am not here to impress you. Shit happens on nairaland. |

babaolofin: Dear Naija, good day. I am still on recess following the heavy intelligent online warfare fought to save Nigeria from an incompetent and highly corrupt governance ever witnessed in the history of Nigeria.
Fulfillment of promises is gradual and not automatic. Also promises are fulfilled when factors militating against are eliminated. It is only a mediocre and somebody suffering from dearth of intellect that will expect a battered, mismanaged and highly corrupt system to start delivering dividends of political investment or trust overnight.
This morning, Kogi State, a PDP state planned to cut civil servants salary by 40%. Osun state, an APC state cannot pay salary for months. There are other states in Nigeria that cannot pay salary. Apart from states benefiting from derivation, I am yet to see a state in Nigeria that can pay salary regularly as at when due without a loan and still execute capital project. It is not possible. The is caused by dwindling oil price.
Your GEJ with Yar'adua inherited over $50 billion dollar with more money coming in regularly with very high crude oil price for six years. It is pertinent to note that Abacha government left huge loans inherited from previous government with external reserves lower than $6 billion. The national wealth Yar'adua and GEJ met was created by OBJ despite heavy spending on Power and other infrastructure. GEJ will be leaving Nigeria with debt for new government and future generation to pay. If you minus the reserve from the debt, then we are in trouble as nothing will be left in the reserve, what you will have is only debt. Buhari is inheriting debt. This is further worsened by the low oil price and the economy overheated by states that cannot pay salary. South western and northern states right? Those parasites |
