Fair points you did make but I'm going to make mention of a few things I feel you didn't say right

Firstly, Married men don't cheat as much as married women...it's just that we do get tend to get caught more easier than a woman and also coupled with the fact that most women know cheating is a deal breaker for most men (if women cheat in marriage, then they do know that it's only a matter of time before they get to leave the marriage or suffer silently)

Secondly, now for the financial backing, I do know some women do stay because of that but what about those that have these but still stay put... Take fore instance Annie idibia... She's not poor...she can afford basic amenities and more but why didn't she leave?
Whether you like it or not, we do uphold out family values in this part of the country which is very essential and most women like the idea of marriage even without knowing what it all entails

At your bolded, a successful man without a woman is still respected regardless whether in Africa or any continent in the world...what only changes is when you are vying for a reputable position in which you want to show the world or make the world perceive that idea of family values instilled in you through your spouse.

Now, a successful single 40+ woman is not the same as a successful single 40+ man, even though their realities may seem different but the consequences is quite different from the woman to the man

I understand the angle you're coming from. If I'm trying to give statistics of any subject matter be it marriage, education, career, health et al. I do that mainly because the poor takes the chunks of our population. Annie Idibia marriage is a prayer point to lots of average Nigerian women marriage. Yes i understand Annie isn't happy in her marriage but trust me you wouldn't compare Annie marriage to that of these average women. Trust me, if Annie chose to leave her marriage today, she can never leave empty handed. Lots of these women had been sent out by their husband with nothing to show for it. They left empty handed. Have you ever wondered the cry for women empowerment by government, NGOs, private individuals, philanthropist et al. The major reason behind that was mainly how men treat these women in marriage and possibly send them packing with nothing afterwards. Comparing Annie marriage to that of an average Nigerian women marriage is like comparing day and night. It's incomparable. Yes i know some few rich women stay put in marriage despite the up and down. Yes i know a single lady or single guy will obviously long for marriage no matter what. It could be at their 40s, 50s or whataview. One would always long for something good one doesn't have. Marriage is a beautiful institutions having it with the right person. A barren couple would crave for having kids. A couple having all girl child will obviously long to have a boy child, vice versa. Nonetheless, a single woman wouldn't feel jealous or long to have a marriage where the man treat his wife like a piece of shit. She wouldn't long for such. She can chose to have kids without marriage, and the kids can live a responsible lifestyle without having a father figure in their life.

Men cheat in marriage than women. An average Nigerian woman had been made to believe that she's responsible to build her home. She had been indoctrinated to believe that men are polygamous by nature. She had been nurtured to believe that men being the head of the house can do anything that pleases them. Reason why it's easier for these men to asked for full time house wife. I know some women do cheat in marriage but I'm certain men cheat more. Men are more jealous than women but tend to hide it unlike women. Women can stay without sex for months and years but it's quite difficult for Men. Most of these average Nigerian married women will be fairing fine as a single mothers than being married. Marriage has caged lots of them seriously. Some men would even cheat and still put it to the woman's face telling her she can do nothing. That is the level some of these women had gone all in the name of marriage.

FINANCE, STIGMA & CULTURE. These are the 3 major reason most of these women still remain in their marriage. Only few had the courage to leave no matter the circumstances. My mother for instance never hawked in her life when she was single, but she hawked in marriage alongside her children just to survive. That's how marriage has dragged some of these women backwards. Only few were lucky. My cousin is married with 3 kids but she's more of a single mother. Her hubby had abandoned her for another woman. I can't even mention that of my neighbourhood. I am a Man but i am fully in support of women marrying ready made guy. They didn't chose their father right? But they have every right to chose their husbands. Their mothers, grand mothers, great grand mothers, cousins, friends just name it, had chosen love over every other thing but had nothing to show for it subsequently. Apparently, it's penny wise pound foolish following same route.

Same Nigerian men will be like an angel out of the shore of Nigeria. I understand our system somewhat give them that leverage here. I believe we can do better.

4) Obi or any other South.Beasts will never smell the presidency for the following reasons
a) South.Beasts are 3rd class citizens in Nigeria and we will never allow a person of such low status rule over real citizens
b) South.Beasts don't have leadership qualities because they are too emotional, bitter, hateful, BIGOTED to be able to make logical decisions
