They dont and they will never have. |
romanlaw: . Fool, I guess you live in the slump that's y there's no light. All yoruba fools claiming Lagos. You are a stuuupid foool. Even if I live in Ajegunle, Orile Agege or whatever your definition of slum is, is a slum not part of Nigeria? When a president go on cnn to tell the world that power has improved in the country, did he exclude slums? And can I know where you live mr Igbo? Worthless Iyaminrin. |
josh4ever: Cited estate, after Jabi in Abuja hasn't had light for 3days now... It's soo pathetic! Prior to that, the light situation was ridiculous!Jona said on cnn that power supply has improved across nigeria far better than what it used to be in the history of nigeria. I am going to bed now without light in lagos and I have been on gen since 6pm. It is like this everyday. Until I have power for 24 hours for 6 months, nobody should come here to talk about improvement. We were not in total darkness before for God sake. |
Onlytruth: It may be true, else I don't know how they could be this persistent in their support of Northern rule. They often put up this lie that "we are all Nigerians" to defend their open and relentless support for even FULANI elements whose legacy in Nigeria has been mainly bloodshed and tyrany.Look at the fooools... I pity your ignorance. |
Eziachi: Many of them equally thinks that you are neither a thinker nor dynamic just as you think of them.Quite unfortunate. Anyway, I always read your posts with respect and abjectivity even where it doesnt align with my thought. |
Eziachi: Will no players make your evening then?Sir, you are an uncommon igbo and I respect you for that. However, the majority of your people are just too boring uninspiring human beings. They are not dynamic thinkers and one wonders what could be the problem of a people who have produced so many professors in the academics and other people who have at least travelled out of nigeria. I have not seen any difference between an igbo man in ladipo market and the so called educated igbos. You have a lot of work to do to change the orientation of your people. Unfortunately I dont see how this can be achieved. |
Ngwakwe: No Laws were made and no decrees issued as on price reductions on daily needs like milk, tomatoes, bread, sugar etc. The military men working under Gen. Buhari's command were abusing economic power and behaving foolishly.Stop there! It is either you were too young at the time and your mother who wanted to cheat buyers didnt tell you the truth. There was price regulation at the time when thieves like Olaninhun in Ibadan were hoarding tyres, etc and thereby making the price go up beyond the reach of poor people. You should be ashamed of yourself for supporting your mothers unpatroitic and ungodly tendency to cheat people by selling at higher prices or hoarding. You are not different from your mother and you will even do worse than your saboteur mother who wanted to make money at the expense of poor people. The reason we are not moving forward in this country - we have tooo many animals who think they are human beings. A government was trying to ensure sanity and patroitism and you are here criticising the government for forcing your thieving mother to do the right thing. Yet, a military government but it was a people oriented government and the reason your mother was forced to sell to people at normal price. Was Buhari the one buying the goods? Of course no. The beneficiaries in all the government did were nigerians, not himself. This is how we want the country to be run. |
So where is the steady power supply or improvement then that gej supporters want to point to as gej's achievement. I have light now but does that mean improvement? Is someone saying we have not seen light before - on and off? We can see comments now across the country. |
jmaine: Please shut up . . .they reside at the Iju - Ishaga axis . .Cool, other people living in iju-ishaga will comment. But again, you have only been asked to yell us power situation in your area. Nothing we can call improvement in your Yaba area - thanks. Allow others to tell us about their area. |
jmaine: Power supply around Yaba area in Lagos State hasn't been quite impressive . . . . .Who are those your friends and where do they live? You can only speak for your area and this thread is just about that - not your friends area. |
lrguru: may the smoke from that my generator consume meYou typed this...? |
honeypie143: Are you sure you don't live outskirt of lagos cos you're not talking about lagosTell us where you live - others are doing the same. |
Ngwakwe: For the sake of argument, let's say you are correct of which you're not.Why do you have to flood the market with the item to fight criminals? You can weed the criminals out. It seems you dont know how government work or should work. You dont have to chase everybody - you only need a few scape goats. Do this randomly on a continous basis and every saboteurs will sit up. |
Nothing has improved. You can see the comments - worse here, good there, bad there. Power in Nigeria has always been like this. There has never been a time the entire country is in total darkness. Definitely some people will have while majority dont have. |
WE HAVE CONSTANT SUPPLY HERE IN LAGOS.GOODLUCK IS WORKING.TRANSFORMATION AGENDA IN ACTION. ![]()
You are a retard liar. Where in Lagos are you based? |
franchizy: In Aba Abia state, we ve 24hrs Electricity. Our God sent Gov T. A. Orji promised us light and he delivered. It is 4 dis reasons dat we Abians wil ever remain indebted to Gov. Orji who inspite of d huge debt he incured from d past administration, was still able to deliver in terms of Electricity and infrastructure. He is the only Gov who has painstakingly rehabilitated all major roads in Aba dat has brought joy in the heart of the people of Aba. On behalf of Abians and the our good party PDP, I say thank you sir.Igbos and lies - they are inseparable. I am in Lagos and as I am typing, I am running on generator and I have been on generator since 5am. It is like this everyday and on /off at times. Where is the improvent? Only in yiboland you will see constant supply because they want to tell nigeria the fraud they voted for is working? There is 24/7 power supply in yiboland, the land of fraud. |
Ngwakwe: Crawl back from where you come from.Filling stations are also retailers. You sell to consumers and you are not expected to engage in any act of sabotage like selling at higher prices or hoarding. That your mum was a retailer doesnt explain anything. |
Ngwakwe: His Military Dictatorship made him to order his Boko boys to come to my mum shop and started selling our stocks at a reduced price in Aba without asking my mum the cost price and where she got the goods from as to enable top down approach.Your mother was an economic saboteur - she was hoarding goods delibrately to push price up to make illicit profit. This is not patroitic and today we see filling stations engaging in the same act of saboteur, hoarding fuel with the sole aim of selling at higher prices. Will you not be happy if the government forces filling stations who attempt to hoard fuel during fuel scarcity to sell at normal prices? Today official price of fuel is 97 naira but filling stations are selling at 110, 120 - is this what you prefer? filling stations cheating the people? Unfortunate that you are not even ashamed of yourself and your mother unpatroitic tendency. It shows things have really gone bad in nigeria - no morals again. |
Virgin Finder: I just don't see this merger pulling through. The first stupid post of the day. Who will rather support GEJ? Your father? |
Malawian: just know there is no type of rigmarole by u yaribas that will put you guys ever again within a heart beat from the presidency. we will always see to that, okay? How do you plan to achieve that? Can you make one of your own president? You can't and you will never be able to? Ojukwu died trying... Whoelse in yiboland can even try it? I have not been able to see any. If there is any tribe that will never smell Aso Rock, that tribe is Igbo. |
size38: Be small tin ooooo. GEJ boy don disappoint us. But we still prefer GEJ boy to Atiku, Buhari and TinubuWhat do you mean by "we"? Please speak for yourself and probably those that you feed. |
chukwudi44: You guys are not taken into consideration the population of igbos in disapora.there are millions of igbos scattered throughout the country outside the south east zone enough to give jonathan the required 25% in 2/3 states.yoruba votes in a cosmopolitan state like lagos might even be less than 50% considering the very high population of non -yorubas in lag.Igbos are hell bent on destroying this country - we wont allow that. Even tell your people abroad to come home to vote, GEJ will lose 2015 election. |
Just give your vote to Buhari... and you can expect to see governance. |
danjohn: You are correct. The numbers I provided were not adjusted to account for electoral malpractices. I have a model that accounts for it so here is my summary. In 2011, the voter turnout in the NW was 54.5%, NE 54.2%, NC 47.7%, SW 32.3%, SE 66.9%, and SS 66.9%.You are talking as if GEJ has not spent 4 years in power and Nigerians have seen so much punishment from him. Definitely people will vote differently and hadly would GEJ get 10% vote in the north. More people will also come out to vote in NW, NE and NC. The same will happen in SW if merger sails through. And people who voted for Jonathan and not PDP in SE/SS will have nothing to say. |
Malawian: what is the highest yoruba position in the country today? You want Yoruba to always be President of Nigeria? We just left the seat a few years back. Anyway, I am not interested in a Yoruba person ruling the country anyway - I never even voted for OBJ because I knew his government wont benefit anybody. Today, I can't point to anything in South West that we can say we benefited from OBJ 8 years rule. |
john29b: why our so call government,Because they are not doing anything substantial. Hence, they must talk about it for people to know. Without this noise it would be like looking for a needle in heystack. |
Nigerian Student (from Eastern Nigeria) Sentenced To Death By Hanging For Drug Trafficking In Malaysia John Amaechi Eze, a 23-yr-old Nigerian student studying at a college in Kuala, Lumpur in Malaysia has been sentenced to death by hanging over drug trafficking. John was found guilty of cannabis trafficking two years ago but his sentencing took place few days ago. ... According to the judge in charge of his case, the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt against John Amaechi Eze. |
The same old rusty train and GEJ buutlickers are making noise. Is this the transformation he promised? |
Igbos, a major player? These guys like feeling important even when it is glaring they can only do follow follow. |
Parnassuss: As opposed to PDP?CPC is a lesser evil ANY day, at least they are led by a man with morals and proven intergrityDo those ignorants know what they call morals and integrity? |
otipoju: I live in Surulere in lagos. I make bold to say that the total hours of power supply that I have had in Jonathan's two years government is 10 times more than what I have had under Abacha, Sonekan, Abdusalam, Obasanjo and Yaradua combined. I don't care about Jonathans oratorial prowess.its been ages that I bought fuel for generator.. On corruption, is Jonathan the clerical officer in my secondary school who refused to process my testimonial in 1998 insisting that I must give her 20 naira first. I reported her to the principal who took sides with her against a 16 year old greenhorn. Heaping blames on one man for the sins of the multitude is a collosal waste of my time.It has been age you bought fuel for your generator? Then I must move to surulere. As I am typing, I am on generator. Power supply has been on and off despite the high tariff. |
