EHITZ:dude, with the way you're acting all mushy on here, wont be suprised if the girl will not like to be ur babe. if you're going away for a month, then go away for a month, if the girl is there when you come back good, if not, fu@king move on |
i think toasting is outdated all over the world except in the world of teens less than 16yrs |
Aprilmay:question 1: settle down as in Marriage? Question 2: if you're a big girl currently living in a mansion of your own, is there any problem with your husband giving up his face-me-i-face-you apartment to move to your mansion? in the past, a man owning the home was a cool thing. we are now in the jet age, if you dont go about telling people you own the home your husband lives in, nobody will know or even bother to ask |
wow, someone has been asking you out for 3 years, you like him but you have not told him or agreed to hook up with him. i think you're mean and i dont think you need any advise! ![]() (unless there's something bad about him that you are privy to you and you're not sharing) do you know how much it takes for a guy to have feelings for you for 3 years and been consistently asking you out? |
@zoelife i think you didnt 'get' the film HITCH, Smith was not the bad boy in that film-if you watch the film to the end, you will know that( pay attention to the couple's therapy/dating scene, the date/trip to staten island scenes etc). Smith was actually the good guy who 'gets' it while his friend albert was a good guy who didnt get it. a classic example of a bad guy in the film was the wall street guy Smith met at a restaurant who had been playing the lady friend of the film's leading lady (i forget her name right now). if you watch that character and listen to his lines, you'll pick up all the descriptions of a bad guy vivaladiva et al have mentioned on this thread |
Efoma27:i agree with you completely on the BS this whole exclusivity thing is , it is anti-competition and i think this is where Nigerian goverment is supposed to step in. there's no where in the developed country that any news media can buy exclusive rights to content that is not copyrighted to them. the EPL is not produced by DSTV, why should they be the only satellite TV with the right to show it?!, all TV stations with the right financial muscle to purchase broadcast right should be allowed to get in on the game and quality of signal and timely delivery should be distinguishing factor that determines where the customers pitch their tent |
nkechineta:search the web from where you are right now, you should find something, or go to microsoft.com |
i hope there are no folks on this forum dumb enought to pay for a lame thing like this, all the very best CV formats are available free all over the internet. if you have time enough to visit this forum, then you can search for CV templates on the web. i have a feeling the CV formats this original poster is trying to profit from are probably from microsoft office website |
deniyor:@Deniyor, your post really wraps it up nicely |
Jimoh Ibrahim or more like NICON paid UBA, the other bank virgin nigeria was owing and got the letter from the bank confirming that. i hope he is able to pull off this one, i kinda like the concept of a national carrier if its well run. the man doesnt really have any real business success stories in his past as far as i know. wish him luck all the same |
@All, i did not read all the posts incase an answer to my question had already been provided earlier, i have an ATM debit against my account with FBN that has been pending for 6months. is it possiblle to investigate the transaction via interswitch? does anyone know a contact i can get in touch with? thanx in advance |
Well, if you are ever called to make a choice between your family and your job, then always choose your family but if there's no reason to choose one or the other, then its everyone's duty to balance both and make sure one does not suffer because of the other. if you spend too much time at work, you'll loose your family and if you spend too much time at home, you'll loose your job. it is that simple |
to add another cent to the two above your wife/husband can be your next of kin without knowing anything about it (for those who are afraid their wife/husband will do them in if they know they're the next of kin), bottomline of that is, the only person other than you; who can and will want to take the best possible care of your children if you pass away suddenly is your wife/husband. if you make your child your next of kin and he/she is not an adult, your wife will automatically be the one to administer on behalf of the child because she is 1. the biological mother of the child and/or 2.your legal wife (1. supercedes 2.) writing a WILL is not something that is pervasive in our culture but thats the best thing to do. there are so many documents you have filled at different points in your adult life that to change and synchronize them all is almost impossible but having a WILL is a one-stop shop where you can declare your next of kin irrespective of what is in any document that you filled in the past and which you have not been able to update plus a WILL is easy to update at any point it is almost impossible that siblings wil do right by your children the way you would have done if you leave your wealth to them but if you love your brothers/sisters more than you love your children, by all means leave your wealth to them, thats your personal decision in summary, in making the decision on who will be your next of kin, ask yourself the question HOW WILL MY CHILDREN GET THE RESOURCES THEY NEED (as close to the way i would have provided it) TO GET FROM WHERE THEY ARE RIGHT NOW TO ADULTHOOD if for any reason i have to leave sooner than planned |

your runaway wife says you shld be ready to give her half your property and pay alimony? are u a nigerian? if you are then, your wife must have made a long assessment of you and concluded you're stupid. if you're not a Nigerian, then she's just trying to con you. btw, where is your (ex) wife from? if you eventually proceed to a court, make sure you get a lawyer outside of your circle of influence who cannot be influenced by your wife. |
Tegwins:@tegwins, i disagree with that statement of yours and i acknowledge the fact that you emphasized it was your personal opinion! ![]() actually, like some of the earlier posters have mentioned, you can be in love with someone you're totally incompatible with.you can be in love with someone who's views and mindset are completely at variance with yours. what it just means is making an intimate relationship work with that type of person will be very challenging. in the case of the subject poster, i sense this boyfriend of hers is her first real boyfriend and she's holding on to him for sentimental reasons and maybe a fear of starting a fresh relationship with someone new with all the attendant risk. |
@nemeziz9ja, if you are going to call people out, you have to come clean on your ulterior motive! are you calling people out because you were refused entry or you are calling people out because you are a freedom fighter .the UK consulate is not under any obligation to grant any particular person entry visa into the UK. they state clearly that the visa fee is non-refundable and paying the fee is not a guarantee that you will be granted and entry visa. so, if those terms are not good for you, then dont apply. i have been refused an entry visa in the past (2005), i didnt bother to appeal the decision and i have not had the cause to re-apply for a UK since. i have travelled to several other countries after that. going to the UK was not a do or die affair for me so i was not bothered. if the treatment they give people at their office is poor, it's mostly because those people who feel they have to travel to the UK at all cost, have no business going to there, they are just going there to become a burden to other people's govt, they go to the consular office to disrespect themselves and carry themselves with no dignity. at the end of the day, they get to the UK and ', live like a dog in the city, ' granted, there are people who ought to have been given visa but are refused but i believe more than 80% of those who are refused, should have been refused cause they have no business going to the UK. and the reason why it bites these people and they make so much noise is because they spend huge amounts of money, paying middlemen to help them get fake passports and process visa whereas, if they spend that money to do something with their life, no matter how small, their life will move forward. you can imagine someone hustling up 500k to give to someone to help them process Uk visa! that's insane. it cost less than 20k to get a new passport and 16,500 to pay for a UK visa and attend the interview but peoplea are still dumb enough to pay so much money to middlemen and when they are refused they start blaming the UK consulate rather than blaming the person who collected the money from them and did not deliver the goods |
euromilion:it's only bagco return money and Zenith PO shares are still outstanding for me but the bagco shares have hit my CSCS and i have received the zenith return money. i dont live in lagos but if you do, you might want to pay first and zenith registrars a visit |
dearstan:the test is a mix of aptitude and current affairs from what i have been able to gather and it usually happens Q1 in the year. those who eventually get the award have to resume by september of that year so the whole process is usually concluded before that time |
Javola:if you're a lucky person, you might still find at the regional branch of 1st bank along the express in ph |
Nixo:yes, the online form differs a bit from the paper ones but the people at the scholarship board will still ask you for some of the paper version requirememts they are used to when you try to submit. the scholarship board is around the nysc orientation camp, that's somewhere in the iyana ipaja axis bon chance |
neroflick:i suppose so, i just hope someone will not get confused and start disqualifying online applications that come without some of those things the paper applicants attach to their own submission. i understand there is a checklist of stuff to attach to the paper application |
@neroflick actually they do but in a sealed and stamped envelope. you are then expected to deliver it at your expense to the organization that requested for it |
@murtalaa, does the form you filled and submitted state that we shld attach 6 passports? i completed the online application and it only stated 2 passports attached to the print out and nothing about a magistrate attestation etc pls, clarify |
Hi landers, can someone please clarify on what documentation needs to accompany the submission of the PTDF scholarship application? all the info i have so far indicates the following 1. copies of certificates 2. university transcript 3. 3 references 4. acknowledgement slip 5. 2 passports (one attached to the application, the other to the acknowledgement slip) but i talked with someone and he said that i need to have my passport photographs certified by a notary public and i need to attach a medical certificate and a sworn affidavit from my state or something like that? i have searched the ptdf website and can't find that type of info on any of the pages i have seen so far |
Chidoski:i think zenith certs have started circulating although i have not received mine. got my transcorp cert since january and sent it in for verification and it finally hit my CSCS this June check with the registrars Zenith registrar and Afribank registrar |
adewaleafolabi:my broker got my cert for me and handed it to me rather than verify. reason: the new shares have not been listed (according to my stockbroker about a month ago) so they cant send it in for verification. |
youngever:the bold portion is wrong!!! a private placement is just that, private arrangement by a company to increase it's capital base by asking potential investors with the wherewithal. the company cannot ask more than 50 people to place funds privately, the situation we have witnessed in d last few months in nigeria is an aberration. |
I'm not sure any company that uses dubious private placement to collect money from you will agree to sign any MOU stating your claim to the company. even though there are no regulatory authorities to moderate PP, there is still the legal bind a share certificate puts on a company. if you have a share certificate or you have a copy of the subscription form you used in buying into the company, you are a legal part owner of the company and you will be treated as such in case of liquidation. if you dont have either, then you will insist on getting a share certificate from the company not a MOU |
tufe:Oceanic registrar on awolowo road ikoyi are the registrar to d company. just go to their office with an ID and you will be asked to give a signature specimen which they will cross-check with what u signed on the subscription form. if the cert has been returned to them undelivered, they will give it to you. but if they dont have it back yet, they will ask you to wait a while to see if it will still get delivered. they can only give u a replacement cert if you dont recieve d original after one year of postage bon chance |
