yea, the problem is that your device is not registering on the network which will prevent the service books from getting to you

check options->advanced options->service books and see if you have a long list in there

better still, if you have a Desktop manager installed on a PC and you have done a backup sometimes in the past, just plug your bb to the PC and restore

go to blackberry.com and try to open the appworld link or look for blackberry ID, the website will walk you through the process of setting up a blackberry ID

like i said in my earlier post, its not a new email address you use, you just use an existing email like yahoo, hotmail or gmail that is traditionally used by you on your BB. you know you are allowed to set up your emails on your bb so messages sent to you by your friends get to your bb. just use that email address

personally i think most landlord (at least the educated ones) have seen that this law even favors them. most of these guys have collected 2yrs rent in the past and know that waiting for 2yrs to see revenue from an investment is not fun

i'd rather have a sure inflow yearly on a property.that way i have more control on how soon i can terminate a bad contract, if the market moves and an increase in rent is justifiable i'm not tied to a 2yr contract that prevents me from benefiting from that movt

look at it from a lifecycle analogy

i think you just hit the nail on the head, i changed from glo classic to one of the newer packages and noticed my free call credit was wiped, and i had close to a thousand bucks so i guess my accumulated data was also removed by those MFs

depends on what type of update you have in mind

there are 2 types

1. Blackberry OS
2. Apps

for 1, you need a software called blackberry desktop manager installed on a PC and you need to download the latest device driver software for your BB. you use the desktop manager to install the device driver on your bb by connecting your bb via a usb to the PC

for 2, you need to install blackberry appstore on your bb, get a BB ID which is essentially an email address and that email address must also be configured to send mails to your BB and a passowrd. once you have that, you can update all the apps on your bb and get new apps

registration of sim is not a project that will stop, it will eventually evolve into a call centre activity that must happen before a new simcard is activated on the network.

eventually, numbers that are not registered will be expired and offered on fresh simcards to new subscribers. if you happen to have that number currently and u dont register it against your name, that simcard will become useless and u have to buy a new one but with no guarantee that the number will be available

if you have a way to pay for it, then go for it, the stress of collecting your bag at each stop is less than the money you will save
