Scholar8200: Explain Foundations. psalm 11:3 if foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? The law of sowing and reaping ranges from generation to generation. The generation that sow may not be the one that shall reap. Hence, if a generation sow evil of a murder(this cannot be restituted) they may escape judgement like David in the case of Uriah, the forthcoming generation may have to pay, no matter their level of righteousness. This places a great demand on faithfulness of God. May Holy Spirit help us. |

kwenu: I just finished reading the story of that young promising , beautiful Lady, Oluchi, i was touched, its painful to see a loved one die like that through (electrocution) one other part of the story that caught my attention is where the sister said, that Oluchi prayed to God in church seriously before her death but yet at the end she still died.
i lost my uncle about 7 years ago, and before he died, he had a dream concerning his death , and also his sister saw in a dream concerning his death, she saw him disapeared suddenly while he was descending down a hill then about 6 moths or a year later he died, he died at the age 37 leaving his family behind his elder sister who saw his death and the rest of his family went into prayer but yet he still died
Now my question is, why did they have to still die after they have prayed to the almighty God, were their prayers never heard.? some people may want to say its destiny, but i think not
i will take it as destiny if Ezekiahs life had not been prolonged with 15years
i invite all spirit filled Christians both prophets pastors, throw light on this issue -Gods Soveriegnity -Foundations - secret sin -Matyrdom -Fruitlessness need details lets know. |

forix4u: Sometimes I want to regret going to school because arguably I still fail to see the reasons or benefits of going to school. Yesterday a friend of mine whose parents took him to learn electrical on cars after primary school, went to withdraw 1.5m to purchase a jeep. His story building is near completion, married and blessed with 2 wonderful kids. We all know what it takes to have a story building in Lagos. This my friend barely reads a simple sentence.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not envious of him rather I'm happy but today, I'd to take a seat and remembered how he convinced me to join him in learning this same handiwork that has made him the prospective landlord and car owner that he's today while I chose to go to school to acquire a certificate only to have graduated and served fathers land without a job to even make boast of. I also have some friends who dropped after secondary school, today they are all married and living good...
It's kinda annoying and I don't know if to say regrettable for going to school because it has not even paid off. The annoying aspect self is most jobs today can't even foot one's expenses and bills due to the hash economy and almost every job you get today is contract base, so one begins to think what is the purpose of spending several years reading without any tangible benefit awaiting stresslessly. you dont need to stress yourself over the problem that was not ur fault, even though you are a victim, it is to our collective shame as a nation. Graduate unemployment is a function of drepressed economy managed by corrupt leader, delapidated educational system absence of social security. Now tell me which of these factors was caused by you. Hence what you need to be thinking about is how to stand out from the crowd by adding value to yourself. What the situation demand is the ability to look around, identify a need and respond to it. |
Politics › Re: I’ve Declared My Assets According To Law – Wike by waldigit: 10:31pm On Sep 09, 2015 |
midolian: RIVERS State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, said on Wednesday that he had declared his assets to the relevant authority according to the law.
Wike explained that he had by his action, fulfilled the country’s constitutional requirement, adding that declaring his assets publicly was not part of the dictates of the law.
The governor, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Sir Opunabo Inko-Tariah, pointed out that it was necessary for people to de-emphasise asset declaration, but the sincerity behind such exercise.
He stated that some public office holders could over-declare their assets to pave the way for them to steal public funds in future while others, who had held public offices in the past, might under-declare their personal belongings in order to give the impression that they were never involved in corrupt practices while in office.
Wike explained that the most important thing for public office holders was to deliver the dividends of democracy, adding that his main interest was to develop the state and the people.
“The governor has declared his assets and this is exactly what he told newsmen during the tour of his administration’s projects. There is no law compelling him to make his declaration public. He has declared his assets and the declaration was made to the relevant authority.
“Let me also say that it is not just about asset declaration; it has to do with the sincerity of the person because some may over-declare when they want to steal in future. So, they declare to accommodate the theft in future.
“Some may also declare for whatever reason; maybe they have held public offices in the past and they don’t want people to know that they have stolen money. So, people will declare; it is not all about the declaration of assets.
“What is crucial is the sincerity of the person declaring and you are supposed to declare when you get out of office. But the truth is that if you are a governor or a minister, what matters is the delivery of the dividends of democracy. That is what is important and it is not about what you declare and how much you declare,” Wike added.
On the claim by the All Progressives Congress in the state that most of the projects completed by his administration were started by the immediate past governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, he said it was wrong for anybody to personalise governance.
According to the governor, projects that will impact on the lives of the people should not be abandoned by any successor.

Making our electricity power supply run in underground tunnels like the GSM networks do for their system....instead of using poles.....would end tragic things like this.It would also make power supply stable....as the wires are now insulated from weather issues/changes in the weather.
Nigeria....bury the wires. Also as a major precaution when u are in a vehicle and has live wire in contact, NEVER get out of the vehicle. The body of the vehicle is live on the outer surface because the vehicle is not earthed being on an insulator (tyre). angelchinny: Am a well dedicated nairalander but I created this new account for this issue. I have been married for 4 years now with 3 children and since the 2nd year of our marriage my husband has been constantly cheating on me.
The way he goes about it is even heartbreaking, he does it like his into a love relationship with them and not just for fun.
There is this particular girl that he calls like 3 times everyday because I check his call log and saw they keep in touch more than twice everyday. I stupidly called the girl and warned her to stay clear off my man and she confessed he didn't tell her he was married, I confronted my hubby and he was forming defensive and was telling me dat am accusing him wrongly and he will soon start cheating. I called the girl back in the evening and she told me that even as am calling that his call is entering her phone, that he called earlier to beg her to give him chance to explain..The next day I left with my children to a far away state and he pleaded that he will change and all that. The issue is that he continued with this shameless behaviour, our live-in nanny later confessed to my cousin last month that he approached her and I was so devastated. He knelt down and begged and I easily forgave him..
Forgive me for my long episode but I really need your help on how to punish him cos I went to his call log yesterday and saw the same girl that made me take the risk to leave with my children to another state calling him again and he is reciprocating the calls..his a very jealous person, he goes crazy when a male friend calls me..I want to make him pass through all the pains I have endured all these years.. What do I do pls? At this stage of his the only thing that can save him is Regeneration- it is a miracle of being born again a process which can be initiated by him, you other who know about. Outside that be prepared to move on with or without him. But I prefer the former. Hence it begins with you on your kneels. |

xertyy: I work in a technology firm where my colleague happens to be a female.. She's in her mid 20s, not too pretty but okay and goodlooking. Among all other staffs we both happens to be closer a bit that sometimes in our spare times we talk generally on relationships, love, heartbreak and all that..
Before those discussions kick starts something like a topic or an action relating to it has to take place.. So for the past one year + I have been working their with her, she's always telling me how Faithful and loyal she is to her boyfriend which happens to reside and work in other state within the south western part..
They talk on phone everyday at work and to some extent I do believe that these two are really in love and matured, even the fact she working, she told me her boyfriend even sends her allowance monthly..
And according to her they have been dating for 2 years+ and for the past 4-5 months they haven't seen.. This same lady got some toasters that do disturb her on phone and all that, in which lash them with harsh words and rejects them, her action in all makes me starts having a second thought of being faithful or even sticking with one girl.. I had a crush on her then, but due to this their lovey lovey lifestyle with the boyfriend, I decide to back off and keep my crush to myself instead of being rejected and all that..
Recently, earlier this week, our HRM sent for her,so she forgot her phone with me, usually she don't allow me to handle her phone, which was becoming obvious she's hiding something, not until she deletes or hides a particular chat or what then she can give me her phone to see her pictures.. So on this fateful day! On Tuesday to be precise, she forgot her phone with me,so I decided to go through her pics, fortunately I found one of my pics she took me with her phone,I decide to send the pics to mine phone via whatsapp, as I was about to do that, I discovered our MDs chats with her that she ended with "Love You Too" my curiosity increases which I opened to read..
What I saw was beyond my imagination, I didn't still believe what I saw.. From the whole conversation I can deduce that they have been sexing eachother and all that.. Early in the morning, she goes to the MDs office for quickie and all that.. I was shirt of words if this is really her or who.. Till this moment it seems I'm dreaming cos I never believed this girl can ever cheat on her guy.. I'm scared of Ladies! I'm scared of commitment, I'm scared of relationship! Right now I can't even put my trust on any lady! Ladies of these days are Something Else for Real! |

Christianity Etc › JESUS: Truth Or False? by waldigit(op): 10:30am On Aug 30, 2015 |
The truth is independent. It is not a function of your belief system (e.g. principle of live or religion) 1corinth 13:7 says : love believes all things. If you love your belief system you tend believe what it tells you. But wait a minute, is it telling you the truth? How do you know it is telling you the TRUTH. 2Crith 13:8 says for we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. An English adage says the taste of the pudding is the eating of it. Latin maxim says TRUTH must be able to speak for itself. Jesus declared, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man cometh unto Father (GOD), but by me. John 14:6 Tell me friend, who is it in the history of humanity, made such a declaration and still stand the test of time in terms of relevance for more than 2000 years. If you say I don’t belief the man is saying the truth, the questions, are these: are you sure He is not saying the truth; if at the end of the day what the man said turn out to be true, do you think I thought he was not saying the truth would be an acceptable excuse.
If you love an armed robber and married him and went with him on an operation and were caught with him in action. Will, I belief him when he told me it wasn’t an armed robbery operation be an acceptable excuse before the Judge. John 8:32 thou shall know the truth and truth shall set you free. The Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated is Lordship while on earth and the throne is still established more than 2000 years after. If a child claims someone is his father and you think you know the father very well, then go ahead and confirm the claim form the father. If you cannot, then there no justification whatsoever to doubt the son’s claim.
The strength of the faith in JESUS Christ is not in what is written about Him but the living proof and reality of what is written about HIM. Taste and see that the Lord is good |

[b]So the "clueless" one has been working silently in the background without noise or fanfare?
Honestly Buhari should have a walk in the park governing Nigeria. He doesn't have to do much. Let him just relax and continue GEJ policies because all the sacrifices of Jonathan are already yielding fruits.
We should have been patient with Uncle Jo. He clearly knew what he was doing. From Auto policies to Agricultural growth to improvement in Power generation and modular refineries to spur growth locally. Almajiri Schools, new universities nationwide, FOI bill.
Is it the new airports or the attempts to open the East to the world? Enugu international airport and the commencement of the 2nd Niger bridge? He even impacted on the rail sector . All these in 5 years under war.
If only the demons that control the media don't toy with the uneducated Nigerians. Strangely enough they shout corruption but Transparency international thinks otherwise!!! Our corruption rating has drastically reduced from 1st position during Obasanjo's reign to 43rd under Jonathan!!!
Painful enough Jonathan isn't around to reap the fruits of his labour. All these things he accomplished even when the demons from the North kept terrorising. Something one old fool with otapiapia mouth couldn't achieve in 8 peaceful years!!
God bless you Jonathan. We the simple people who are not sophisticated neither born to rule acknowledge your efforts in building Nigeria. We acknowledge no other president has attempted to tackle Nigeria's multi-faceted issues the way you did.

starlingslimnet: I think there is no point in pursuing this with you.....since you can't see you are saying the same thing. To be baptized is to receive the Holy Spirit Acts 10:47 "Can any man forbid water, that these should be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?"
This is after they have been baptized because of their believe in Christ. Apostle Peter said "They receive" meaning Being Baptized is Receiving the Holy Spirit.
The thing is I don't like to quote Scripture upon Scriptures cos it's not necessary to Teach the Truth. See for yourself you have made your own distinction between Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Receiving the Spirit of which the Bible made no distinction cos they are one thing.
What I can say to you is "Go and study" Salvation is a process. One may not necessarily pass through it sequentially as in the case you cited, but for you to be stable in faith it is crucial you cover all the process stages. Giving your life to Christ is a stage in the process, getting baptised with water another, getting baptised with holy Ghost another and so on. All stages are crucial for the purpose of ensuring that we grow, stay and be stable in faith. Two example comes in handy here: the thief at the right hand of Jesus made it to heaven at the level of regeneration only. But because he died immediately after that stage he did not need other advanced stages in the process of salvation. Also the Ethiopia eunuch in act ch 8 was baptised by philip and left but nothing was heard about him again. Most likely he deviate later because of no follow up to complete the process. If you omit or fail to aspire to complete salvation process it shall become a weakness for you which the enemy can you to steal your faith from you. May the Holy Spirit continue to teach us. Amen |
