ThiagoKid:Honestly, I like the idea. I think the majority of the fans don't understand it yet and the animosity against it by football governing bodies made fans and players more uncomfortable. Most people feel it is an attempt to change football competition. However, it is simply the same process that started other football competition. The proposed European Super League is a competition anyway. It is not closed to other clubs, it is scheduled to start with the 15 selected clubs because they are the ones with the guts to challenge status quo. I believe they will accommodate other clubs when the league is eventually accepted. Football is expensive business, maintenance of clubs and players are expensive. COVID 19 has impoverished the clubs and the big clubs are worst hit because they pay more bills. The fans are worried champions and Europa leagues will be over for their clubs. Players are worried they will be banned from all other competitions if they engage in ESL. UEFA is cursing, threatening and ranting everywhere; trying to muscle and whip the differing clubs into line with threats and ambush tactics using players and fans against the clubs. Guess what, UEFA and FIFA have no right to ban players unjustly from competitions for actions of their employers. Football today has gone beyond just fans and stakeholders, it is majorly about the majority shareholders who are the big investors. They are the investors that stake their funds to make fans keep seeing their darling clubs competing. How would Bruno Fernandez feel if Man Utd can't pay his salary anymore? Ozil refused to have paycut but he feels the need to speak against club owners to earn more income for the club. B. Dortmund was gonna Bleep Man Utd for 120million pounds in Sancho sale and demanding 150 million pounds for Harland sale yet they feel they have the right to criticize other clubs on attempt to earn more money. Depreciating Pogba is asking for 500,000 pounds per week new contract so you can imagine, where will the money come from. I laugh in the face of UEFA and FIFA |
P1PrinceKT:Are you OK? Is Pantami a security official or what kind of nonsense did you write. Anyway, it seems you have been paid to do this job. |
boogietrends:So much for education, economics and finance. I have seen a lot of people justifying CBN and FGN on printing of money to support FGN obligations. I read many justifications and I could not stop laughing. This Cable article presented a number of countries that created money, by printing or electronically. It mentioned US, UK, China, South Africa, Ghana, India etc. However, my question to the writer and everyone defending the FGN and CBN is this: Did those countries print those monies or created those monies legally? There is a process involved in creating money for the Federal Government of a Nation, the process requires the executive government to request for approval and make justifications for creating such emergency money by way of passing a bill to the national assembly to approve it and legalize the creation so it can be captured appropriately in the government books. This is expected before Central Banks or Federal Reserves can create the money. This was done in all the US, UK and perhaps all the democratically governed countries you referred. Maybe China process could be different because of the style of government they operate moreover, any government of a Nation that does not go through the legal process of creating money has done illegal creation and that is actually fraud. The monies CBN and FGN has been printing covertly in 2016/17 and most recently, that Emeifele is trying to justify can only be classified as illegal monies especially because there was no bill passed to that effect; no legal process supported the emergency printing. It is a dangerous trend and regrettable action and I expect the government and CBN to be queried. I also prefer the government create money by way of credits and loans to entrepreneurs, SMEs and artisans to improve productivity and create jobs rather than creating money to meet recurring expenditures like salary which will reccur every month. |
Fundamentalist:In sane climes, Nigerians would not have to call for his resignation. He would simply resign honourably. He needs no one to re-emphasize that he has lost the confidence and trust of Nigerians by being supportive of ISIS, Al Queda and other unbecoming behavior and statements. |

Amaechi2023:Hey, are you good, well and sound? I asked to know because your suggestion is ridiculous. |
AllenSpencer:Define Monopoly and explain the various types of monopoly? Why are you suddenly bringing tribal sentiments into an intelligent discuss? Who is jealous of the north or south? You should focus on becoming successful yourself and making money rather than being a tribal bigot and e-warrior typing from your hut. |
naijapips04:That is the main question? I also think CAC should also independently verify directors of companies registered or in the process of registration with the commission. |
NMFB and CBN are either confused and uncertain about this AGSMEIS or unwilling to tell the truth about the fate of the program. If they don't want to push the program anymore, they should state it clearly. The process is so complicated, frustrating and disappointing. |
Jashub:Yes. They often display obsolete and old movies and they repeat the movies so much that you get tired of watching. I don't think Nigerians get adequate value from the paytv. The value is just on football and a few other programme. |
It is so unusual to see too many commercials on DSTV these days. It is so annoying when watching a program and you see commercials pop up for few minutes while watching a favorite program. DSTV don't just run the advert as subset on TV screen but they actually interrupt the program to run commercials for minutes. DSTV started doing the commercials during live football matches, especially EPL. Did DSTV suddenly become another LTV or NTA? |
hefelove:E dey pain you ba |
I observed that the commentators on this thread have mixed up the two separate organizations: NIRSAL MFB is not NIRSAL. However, I think the loan process are entirely messed up with graft, favoritism and others |
capitalzero:It is funny when you quote Bible on this case. She has the option to shut up forever or confess and face the consequences. If I am in her shoes, I will shut up about it forever. |
saphiere:Is feminism now woman empowerment |
capitalzero:Ok. If you are in their shoes, don't keep it a secret. Tell the whole world. |
IjeBos:That is why you should not inform a second or third or more party. That is your secret, not the one you spilled |
Anigreat:Oh shut up and don't spoil the day for us all. |
Verysmart101:You can keep a secret forever, that is what I meant by the statement - "take it to your grave". That is what keeps it a secret. |
prettyheart:Never confess such immortality except you want to take a risk with that marriage. End the amorous relationship with the ex-lover and take the secret to your grave. |
lalasticlala:Mr Tinubu is still behind the recent times. The art of war has gone beyond major dependence on human resources. Today, war is majorly dependent on artificial intelligence, advanced weaponry and technology and less but technically sound human resources. Example: A few drones can effectively source intelligence, man and take-down threats in the whole of Zambisa forest without wasting a human resource. Please note: FGN, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Airforce, Nigerian Police. |
rexwalters:It does not matter whether it is World Cup Qualifier or ANC qualifier, the nations have right of first refusal, despite the clubs desires, on any of their players for any national engagement. |
rexwalters:When did FIFA give such prerogative. Can you refer us to the documents or statement by FIFA. FIFA will always uphold the preference of the national team above the choice of the club in cases of conflict on player national callups. There is a CHAN ANC organized by CAF for home based players. As per the major ANC, the nation must be availed the opportunity to use their players by the club except in case of injury and the player will still need to be certified injured by the national team to allow him stay away from ANC if invited. Do you also know that work permit renewal and award for foreign players in most of the European countries requires expected number of national caps. |
That decision is ill informed, if the African Nations take them up with FIFA and CAS. The French clubs can not defend their position on the matter. |
kettykin:Why are you being disrespectful? She has her reason for the visit to Osinbajo. |
Zzor:Oh shut up. Stop being Jealous, you know say she sabi |
EXOUSIAng:You are embarrassed by your uninformed state of mind and ignorance. I can understand why you are reacting with tantrums. |
NobleEugene5:Yes, I know. That was just a response to the other man that claimed to be well informed. |
Depends. Provided you have the right permits, and documentation, and follow the rules, you can keep a wild animal like that in a sane country. What about the safety of others, your neighbors? |
EXOUSIAng:I wonder who is bankrupt minded or myopic between the both of us. Let me educate you: As per USA: 4 states have no laws on keeping dangerous wild animals as pets: Alabama, Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. 6 states do not ban or regulate keeping big cats as pets: Alabama, Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Delaware, and Oklahoma. 21 states ban all dangerous exotic pets, while the rest allow certain species or require permits. 35 states ban keeping big cats as pets, with varying exemptions, requirements, and levels of enforcement. Now based on that information, majority of the states recognize the danger of keeping such dangerous animals as pet hence they banned it. If 35 states out of 50 banned it, then it is safe to assume that majority of the states in the USA are sane with respect to keeping big cats as pets. As per UAE: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has outlawed the keeping of wild animals, like lions or tigers, as pets. For some in the oil-rich Gulf State, owning the likes of a cheetah is a status symbol, but they now risk jail or a fine. - BBC news: January 4, 2017. Besides, can you live beside a neighbor who has a lion or big cats as pets? How safe would you feel? I bet you will be another prey waiting to be feasted upon in that your cave called house. |
In a sane country, Animal Control Authority or Animal Rights Group would evacuate the animal from his custody, with or without his consent. No one has the right to keep a wild and very dangerous animal like lion as a pet. The animal belongs to the zoo or wild. |
bigfish3k:Good question! |
