PoliticsRe: Nigerians Blast Atiku On Twitter For Not Debating Because Of Absence Of Buhari by Wallade(m): 7:53am On Jan 20, 2019
The electorates may be disappointed about the decision of Atiku not to debate but I must also say that it was a smart move from him.

I attribute a lot of respect to the other candidates who participated and I apologise to them and the electorates on behalf of Atiku. He is the primary target of Buhari supporters and also the man on the spot. We knew that Buhari will not come in for debate because we know how terrible his performance will be.

Atiku should avoid exposing himself to opponent attacks; any injury at this time could be devastating at the final election. Since Buhari dodged the debate, every other participants should have turned the debate down in protest.

Maybe every candidates should just feature on a show like "The Candidate" or other shows to communicate their vision, mission and plans and also engage the electorates in questions and answers.

Honestly, I had to dump the euphoria of Atikulated Obitious for some time to try to understand and reason with this man but it became glearing after a while that Nigeria is really in a precarious situation with this Buhari hopeful for another 4 years. He sounded clueless and disconnected from our world. He could hardly comprehend the questions, he couldn't give clear, emphatic and concise answers to the questions.
His IQ is obviously low and I can not imagine this man managing a business effectively talkless of administering a country.

I feel really sorry for Nigeria. This is sad and almost tragic. On a more serious note, people please drop the party affinity and partisanship mood; honestly we need to retire Buhari to Daura or whereever, he has little or nothing to offer us.

Today, I feel terribly ashamed to be a Nigerian; to think that we voted this barely-living-dull-uninformed-thing to be the president of this country in 2015 is a remarkable error that must never be repeated.
PoliticsRe: BREAKING: CUPP Releases Agf’s Letter Directing Freezing Of CJN Onnoghen’s Accoun by Wallade(m): 7:58pm On Jan 16, 2019
Going by this revelation, it has become important and a priority to protect the CJN from the Federal Government harassment because the intentions of APC and Buhari and Executive goverment is now clear.

This is a witch hunt against the CJN because he will not be influenced by the FG, we all know the ridiculous situation the APC finds itself in Rivers state and perhaps in some other states with respect to the election and the fact that the court has remained objective is a number of judgements. This is about the 2019 elections and not in the overall interest of the nation.

This Buhari govt is desperate and shameless.

Why is that PDP always like to deceive themselves. How can Atiku be claiming to be meeting business community in Lagos with shoe cobblers, tomato sellers, tailors etc as his guests.
All his high table guests are PDP bigwigs. Atiku is a big fraud
Oh! You were expecting to see a congregation of all the business community on a Wednesday. You think they are jobless and worryless like you. They only need a representative there and better still rely on social and print media to get the anticipated information from Atiku which is well recieved by the Lagos Business Community.

Yes I know about the case but don’t you think it’s a way of buying immunity for the judges.

The Legisative claims they make their own rule, the judiciary has to go through NJC consisting of the same judges and the excutive heads have immunity against all prosecutions. In essence all this people are above the law.
I did not just say case; I answered your question (what law prevents the CJN direct trial in any court of law). Laws, Nigerian laws, are sourced from Statutes (statutory law), Legislation (legislative laws) and Precedence (Case law).

There is a reason for those laws, however stupid, retrogresive or irrational they sound to you. Moreover, you must follow it as far as it remains law but if you have valid reason against such law or practise, you need to challenge it separately in a competent court of law to get it repealed or contrary judgement.

Hence, the CCT can still not try the CJN until you have the verdict of NJC.

Under which law

Kindly quote the aspect of law that says an ordinary council can determine a criminal case.

A council he himself is a member if not the chairperson.

When did the NJC become a court of law having jurisdiction of criminal matters.

NJC is for professional misconduct and not criminal offenses.
Under the case law - judicial precedence. Can't you read and research the law anyway, remember that google is your friend.

Kindly refer to the judicial precedent as encapsulated in a recent Appeal Court decision in Nganjiwa vs Federal Republic of Nigeria (2017) LPELR-43391(CA), to the effect that any misconduct attached to the office and functions of a judicial officer, must first be reported to and handled by the NJC, pursuant to the provisions of the laws.

Mind you, NJC is not an ordinary council.

Did the CJN admit to being guilty to not declaring his assets? do you know when submitting your asset declaration you also swear an ooah? Do you know lying under oath is perjury? What moral justification do you have to defend such behaviour? Shouldn't you be demanding he resigns because he didn't obey the law.

Poverty is not an excuse to defend corruption
In 2015, M. Buhari filled his form CF001 and submitted to INEC, it was expected that he should attach his particluars and he attested to a declaration that his secondary school original certificates were with the military.

The military denied the having custody of his certificates and in fact, recently stated that M.Buhari never submitted his certificate to the military. The process that brought Buhari into the military ab initio was flawed but given that he came in as a recruit and there must have been massive drive for military manpower in those days, they must have waived it.

However, he had the audacity to attest, invariably swear on oat, that his original credentials were with the military in 2014/2015 despite the military repeatedly denying it.

M.Buhari again relied on such attestation yet again on his filings with INEC; re-emphasising a lie, tantamount to fraud, corruption and crime. Having seen that the lie may no longer hold given that the public yet again put the military on the spot to deny or endorse and reveal it, they arranged for WAEC to issue M.Buhari another certificate even when WAEC has no record of the previous one.

That was a false declaration in 2014/15 and yet again in 2018. The false declaration is also a crime which could be prosecuted but they choose not to prosecute him.

What moral obligation or right does PMB have to prosecute the CJN who actually filled two asset declaration forms which indicated the disparity in the number of accounts held by him.

Why not make the asset declaration form of every public officer accessible to the public and let us see how many, if any, of them are correct.

If you advocate the trial of CJN, which of course must start with the petition sent to NJC and follow through the law, you must also request Buhari to step down as president so we can try him in court for false particulars for declaration.

What is your opinion?

With the allegations against the CJN, he has lost credibility to preside and so, cannot continue in office. These governors are bigots playing politics with a sensitive issue concerning an important arm of government. The situation is so bad that whether he honours the summon or not, the damage has already be done and the only option left for him is to throw in the towel and save judiciary from further embarrassment.
What allegations are you talking about? Did he steal or divert your money or receive money from corrupt sources like most of your leaders and champions in APC that you have refused to prosecute.

Is it not on record that he submitted two forms that has some disparity. Please, stop insinuating thrash about CJN's credibility and integrity. You need to prove your case in the court, have in mind that you must petition the NJC first and the decision of the NJC will determine your ability to try him in the court of law.

Both Ekiti and Osun state are yet to get to the supreme court and his diligence was proven recently how he quickly cleared Saraki, forget the man is already a gonner kiss
Blame your prosecution lawyers if you strongly feel that Saraki should have been senetenced especially because CJN did not preside over the case and besides, the law is blind-folded and relies on evidenced facts presented to it in course of Justice, not sentiments, assumptions and unproven allegations like the ones you trumped up against Saraki and recently against the CJN.

When you have allegations against someone, you have a responsibiliyy to prove it in the court of law or forever hold your peace.

Wrong move by the SS governors. That wouldn't be good for his image as the representation of the symbol of justice in Nigeria. These governors should not set a precedence.

He should rather appear and defend himself to show a certain leader what it means to respect the rule of law.
The court can't arraign the CJN abinitio. Hence, there is no issue if he doesn't appear before that court.
