9raCash: Got to the Embassy around 6am in my broda's car, did all the security check and went in for the verification of docs. I went with the scanned printed receipt of the money order my friend used in paying for d sevis. The man checked all d docs and tried to verify my sevis payment on his system but told me he my payment has not been uploaded online that I suld take a seat that he will call me soon. After some time he called and gave me a document that I should come back any monday or wed by 1pm as soon as I verify my payment online.... Still trusting God for the best. I know every disappointment leads to divine appointment. Peace!

If there was mistake while filling the form, Your payment and Form I-901 are returned, make the corrections noted. Send in a corrected Form I-901 with the appropriate fee.

Have you ask the person how he/she send the payment to DHS office?

I told you to ask the guy first to know how he mail the money order to DHS... Well since you cant do that cancel or reschedule your appointment.. Well am not sure if you can reschedule appointment since tomorrow is your interview... Let the boss of life here advice you more on this

Dont be confused okay? since its Money Order ask him if he sent it to DHS office via courier or regular mail and ask if there is tracking number for you to track if it has been delivered to DHS office cos it might not be deliver yet maybe on transits.
The best way to send Money order is to use 1-3 days delivery method and the day they receive it the same day they get their money out of the money order.... Remember delivery method matter when sending the money order to DHS office.. They catch the money same day they get the money order and they upload details the following day and the 3rd you check to print your payment print out

I paid mine via Money Order and the same day it delivered they process my payment by taking it to their bank and deposit it and the following day i was able to print my receipt..

My advise is for you to ask how did it send it to DHS office and that will help you to know if they have it or not.. Just pray that DHS didnt return your payment due to incorrect filling of your form..

It depend on the payment method you used to pay for it and location where you pay it too if its outside US
If its Western Union Quick Pay within 1 to 3 days after DHS received your payment details
If it is money order or check issued from US, within 1 to 3 days after DHS received your payment details.
If its outside US via Western union Quick pay within 1 to 3 days after DHS received your payment details.
If its through other means from Nigeria within 7 to 10 days after DHS received your payment details

The Validity period of SEVIS fee is for one year (1yr)... Once the sevis date is still valid, u can change it †o another school.

Please switch to Plan B. Contact your school. And tell em you want em to issue another i-20 for you because you have not received the innitial one they sent and your Visa interview date is veryy close..

So when they agree to issue you another i-20, tell them you want to use TNT courier pick-up service here in Nigeria so that they will come down to the University and pick it up and you get the i-20 package here within 4 working days...

Please Contact them first. And keep me posted and let me know their response. So I will let you know how you go about it.. Send me a PM for effective communication..

My own advice is for her to just cancel the appointment first and get a police report so that she can go to passport office and get a new passport but am sure she will go to ABUJA for her to get a new passport since it was stolen but i learnt that its a bit stressful and bit cost... let her do this as soon as possible cos it takes weeks for her to get new passport

Yes.. California state university FRESNO accept scanned copies of documents..

Ricky Rozay: Pls Bros, NEVER send your certificate to any school for admission if requested because you are Never getting it back from the school..

Any documents submitted to schools becomes the school's Property, so if you send your Certificate to them, they will NEVER send it back to you because it has become the school's property.

If they accept scanned copies, then you can scan and send it to em by email,

But if they DON'T accept scanned copies then the Best you can do is to make a Coloured photocopy of the certificate which will look exactly like the Original one, then take it to a law court and have it NOTARIZED... Simple!!!!!!

winbyforce: If I were in your shoes, I'd resign and pay one month salary in lieu. By the time I return from USA, I'l be like hot cake for the government or better still the private sector. I don't think you should have a problem getting a good job when you get back. Your decision also depends on when u resume your studies.My Opinion sha.

As for me i will advice you to try and convince them to approve your study leave so that you can work with FG cos its not easy to see a good job with FG.. So if you come back your certificate can boost your post..
