Reading the comments here, I can clearly see Nigeria's problem. Many citizens are not ready to develop. Do you think it is impossible for Nigeria to adopt electric cars by 2035? If not for corruption, we can raise the needed power capacity in not more than 3 years (Egypt did it in just over 2). See Nigerians defending their mediocre leaders. These are reasons why we as a people need to come together and do away with people who have kept us this way. That we are a mono economy dependent on oil, whose fault? Isn't Nigeria blessed with every resource known to man?

Well, if GEJ had not reversed his partial removal of subsidy in 2012,by now we would have been paying a lower price for fuel tanks to competition driven price reduction and increased investment.

Because of subsidy, no one is going to come and invest in new refineries because subsidy means selling fuel below the production cost.
