Blitzenkreig66:Declare everything to be on a safe side. You will only be asked by custome what you have or you may be lucky to go in without any questioning. Most times the scanning machine picks some of those unwanted items. If you fail to declare, its a $250 plus fine. Nb) No forget ur blended egusi as the price here equals that of gold plus na Ghana egusi most of dem dey sell here. |
ENGRJCJ:Get yourself a valid license. If your are coming here as a student, you wont be required to convert to an Aus license even if you plan staying for 10years. But if you really need to convert, it can only be done after you have stayed for 6months hence, you will be issued a Q-Class licence. As a PR you are required to convert after 3months of arrival, some fees apply thou. Thou its best advised to convert as most jobs ask for drivers license and your naija license can be a hindrance to securing a job. Hope that helps. |

Airasia is a lowcost airline. You can travel as cheap as $10 from Malaysia or Singapore to thialand, Laos, china, Vietnam, Cambodia as long as you book early during the promotion time. That doesn't include food, head kits, blanket, luggage and use of toilet in the future. Customer service is good and they hardly have delays unlike Tiger air(although I haven't personally experienced any delay traveling with Tiger) The only rigor with Airasia is travelling from klia to klia2 terminal which doesn't apply when you travel with Tiger air. Make sure you have you yellow fever card while traveling out of 9ja or any third world nation. Each vaccine card last for 9 years. If you looking at getting from MIA Lagos on the day you'r traveling out endeavor to get there 7-9hrs before your flight to avoid delay. Zenkel: |

bayfam: @westafrica thanks for ur kind advice.... But my question is, u mean he can't buy a ticket to mongolia direct?or while the transit visa to either japan/SK... And what do u mean by if he enter mongolia he wont be able to come out again except re-enter japan or SK. Pls kindly explain.thanksThere is no direct flight from Nija to Mongolia. He has to transit somewhere. Some countries require you obtain a transit visa b4 embarking on your journey, others allow you to stay within the airport for the next connecting flight. If his connecting flight to Mongolia is China, Japan or SK he sure needs a transit visa and china transit visa will be easy. Life in Mongolia is TOUGH! |
bayfam: Thanks for all comments here... Am writing for a friend, he intend to travel to Asia via Mongolia very close to China,as he intend to enter china by train or travel to SK or Japan, pls ,he got the visa 85k thought cheap but flight ticket shld be d same as china... Is ok entering china by train from border country Mongolia? Most pple try to do business in Nigeria twice they fail reasons some tort the shld try it outside ,just like a brother suggest at d begining of dis tread. ThanksBro. your friend need a China, SK, Japan transit visas before landing in Mongolia. China would be easier to get. This is a link to help you: http://www.china-embassy.org/eng/hzqz/zgqz/t84242.htm . make sure you buy your air-ticket to the next destination which is of course Mongolia -Use Mongolia Airline (http://www.miat.com/). But mind you, when you get into Mongolia its difficult getting out except to plan to re-entry China or Russia after you have gotten your stay in Mongolia. All the best. |
100million that is on a high side. Bro. travel via conference and make sure the conference is related to what you have studied or studying. While you'r there, u can enroll into a Language school while you dey huzzle. Have it in mind that it wont be easy as i learnt studies will even make working more tiring for you. But then, you can apply to visit Europe from there.. Very easy.. I helped a friend recently and he is in Germany now.. But make sure you have the right contact to get you into Korea first.. It's little difficult these days sha..
Conference/tourist visa is C3 visa valid for 90days. Though the embassy here might issue an initial 30-day visa, you can extend to 90days at local immigration office. But a warning: korean immigration officers know the Nigerian trick. I doubt if they will admit you into the country on a tourist visa if the conference isnt very important. First time visitors go through the investigation room before they are stamped into the country. Your "wahala" doesn't stop after you've been granted entry into Korea. Changing your visa status in Korea is hard. For D8 visa, you'd need about 100 Million Won for your FDI., and you'd have to employ a Korean, pay export taxes and file your company tax every 3 months. In short , student visa(d4) is easy but their law makes life difficult on a student visa . Spouse visa(f2) is the best visa but which korean girl want marry "dudu" from 9ja? Well, some still marry, sha!
|

Henry Okah was found guilty in January for the October 2010 bombing in Nigeria's capital, Abuja, that killed at least 12 people and wounded three dozen during a celebration to mark the country's 50 years of independence. The South African Press Association reported that Judge Neels Claassen of the High Court in Johannesburg announced Okah's jail sentence, which includes 12 years in prison for each bombing and 13 years for threats made to the South African government after his October 2010 arrest. The 13 years will be served concurrently with the 24 years. Okah was a leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, or MEND, which claimed responsibility for the blasts. The group accused Nigeria's government of failing to alleviate poverty in the delta, even though it earns billions of dollars from the region's oil. In 2006, militants from groups like MEND started a wave of attacks targeting foreign oil companies, including bombing their pipelines, kidnapping their workers and fighting with security forces. When Okah was convicted, Judge Claassen had said the state had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt and the Nigerian's failure to testify meant the evidence was uncontested. Okah was found guilty on 13 counts of terrorism. Okah, who had been living in South Africa, said the case against him was politically motivated. In 2008, he was arrested in Angola and extradited to Nigeria, where he was accused of treason and terrorism and linked to a gunrunning scandal involving high-ranking military officials. His arrest and trial sparked an escalation in MEND attacks. That violence ebbed in 2009 with a government-sponsored amnesty program promising ex-fighters monthly payments and job training. However, few in the delta have seen the promised benefits and scattered kidnappings and attacks continue. And MEND itself, once a powerful, media-friendly militant group in the region, has seen its influence wane since the amnesty. Charges against Okah were dropped and he was freed in July 2009 as part of an amnesty program. MEND had issued statements threatening to attack South African interests in Nigeria because of Okah's prosecution in South Africa. |
chukxie: Check your facts before you blab..As absurd as it sounds SA is regarded as a native English country. I guess they achieved this status because of the multiethnicity of the country. How many OYIBO be citizens for 9ja? We no allow them format us finish, while will they consider us as an English speaking Nation? Well South Africa is recognized in any country you go to. They are respected even in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan. Believe it or not SA and Botswana has better accent then us. Prolly our native languages has made it so and our teachers didn't help us in High school. But still on still, we go dey teach English to Asians ![]() |
Why were the cars seized? Why are you re-selling them? Are you not a thief? |
igwekadillac: so in other words what u are saying is that u cant extend your c3 visa in south korea and u cant work with it right?Well am not sure if you can extend it presently. Thou some people where fortunate to get theirs extended. Most times, these people do not follow the information they give to the public via internet. A friend worked illegally until he left for Germany. Factory workers earn almost USD2,000 - USD2,500. People living in Korea will know better. They will furnish you with proper information on how you can get on your feet when you enter the country. On my first visit to Japan, i meet an acquaintance from Senegal n he told me "Brother if you want to stay back, i can tell you where a lot of Nigerians hang out and they will keep you until you get your papers". So i presume they will have a location where Nigerians hang out too in Seoul, just pray you don't fall into the hands of the wrong guys. Well i will be visiting Japan next month and will be going through Korea. As a Nigerian, i don't i will be granted 30days stay in Korea as long as i have my onward ticket to Japan, US, or Canada. |
From what i know, changing from tourist to student visa can be difficult. In most cases they request that you exist the country b4 returning. You might be lucky to find a language school that will help you. If you go with a conference visa, be sure that they institution inviting you is ready to welcome you at the airport otherwise, you will be sent back. In a friend who went there from Ukraine was sent back. You can extend your visitor's visa to 90 days if your reasons are valid and you have your supporting documents and financial means. All the best. |
Do you by any chance know Ukpom, Isinkpu and Okpere-enyi? |
Few years back a friend of mine was deport from Seychelle. Not just himself, along side 15 other (Nigerians). He was lucky to have found an Immigration who asked him to marry her so she could get him papers to re-enter Seychelle. He did just so and later couldn't bear with her violent attitude. He managed to contain himself until his passport was out. Now he is in UK. The good thing is; you can get a 90days entry in UK but then, you need an invitation from a Seychelles local to get in. |
Definition of English native speaker: A "native speaker of English" refers to someone who has learned and used English from early childhood. It does not necessarily mean that it is the speaker's only language, but it means it is and has been the primary means of concept formation and communication. It means having lived in a truly English-speaking culture during one's formative years, so that English has been absorbed effortlessly as by osmosis. English is our first language in Nigeria second by French we'r in same boat with South Africa. I guess South Africa is recognized because of their bilateral relationship with Korea. I would advice you get an English teaching certificate i.e. TESOL ESL TEFL CELTA etc that would boost your chances of getting an English teaching job in Korea, Japan or China. I reside in Malaysia and i have a friend who studied English at the end, he secured a job in China after a phone interview. Sad enough he couldn't travel to China because he had some visa issues the good thing is he is presently in Bostwana and he's doing well as an English language teacher. Well acquiring a Korean visa can be little tedious especially when you applying for tourist visa, you need to have someone inviting you. study visa is easy and education is cheap compare with Japan. Does Nigeria have a vision? Are we working towards it? When does street HAWKINGstop? |
As at 2007, 2008, Nigeria was considered visa free to Singapore perhaps as being a member of common-wealth nation. When I arrived Malaysia in later 2007, some acquaintances I met then tried to soil my heart into believing that as a Nigerian, traveling out of Malaysia was more difficult than passing an elephant via the eye of a niddle. As an optimistic person, I didn’t allow that weigh me down instead I considered it a challenge. Early 2008 during the Chinese New Year, my friend and I decided to visit Singapore as we had school holiday. We boarded a bus and traveled 6 hours from Malaysia’s capital Kuala-Lumpur to Singapore Woodlands boarder. Passing through Malaysia boarder was easier than ABC as we had valid 3 years study visa, so we got to the Singapore immigration. This young immigration lady collected my passport and 3 mins later we saw two uniform men who asked that we follow them. Without hesitation we followed rapidly since it was our first travel after hitting Malaysia moreso, we were eager to enter and explore the beautiful island country. Well we followed this officers into an office and behold, we saw lots of other nationality probably from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh etc. three (3) of these people were repatriated before my eyes immediately, my heart became curious of my fate. Few minutes later an officer in his late 50’s called my name, my heart started throbbing like a Monkey rescued from the 64 teeth of a Crocodile. Before this office, this was our dialogue: Officer: What is your purpose of visiting Singapore? Me: In split of second I answered “Tourism” Officer: What is your basic travel allowance (BTA) Me: USD$ 450 plus RM500 which is equivalent to USD$170 at that time Officer: I am sorry you can enter Singapore I probed further to know the reason why I wasn’t allowed into Singapore and the officer said my BTA wasn’t sufficient for my 4 nights 5 days stay. I asked if I added more money would I still return to Singapore same day and the answer was YES. Since I wasn’t allowed into Singapore and the immigration was aware I was travelling with my friend, he too was denied entry. Well we were led by another younger officer to the point where we caught the next bus to Malaysia Johor Bharu border. While thinking what those acquaintances would say of our repatriation from Singapore, we felt ashamed of ourselves but then, we never let up. Immediately, we located a cash machine (ATM), withdraw some additional RM1000 before heading back to Woodlands immigration. I also rang a friend whom I rescued from the hands of dubious Nigerian while I was still in Nigeria. She told me to go to the immigration and ask them to ring her. With all confidence, we returned back to the immigration and after much verification, a 3 months visa was issued. The moral here is: those who said it can’t be done should never discourage those that are doing it. Believe in your ability, work towards it and Jah will help you. In my 2nd Missionary Journey to Singapore I will inform you while Nigerians aren’t allowed to enter Singapore. |
I think the best route will be from Lagos to Sri-lanka, then to Maldives. So no need going down to Malaysia b4 traveling to maldives that will be sheer waist of time and money. Well from what i know, its difficult to get a job in Maldives and if you are a Christian, be ready for persecution. Find somewhere else to go.. There are islands in Australasia (E.g, Fiji, Everyone needs a visa for Nauru. The visa costs A$100. Visitors from Commonwealth countries can apply for a visa on arrival. No visa is required. A valid passport and proof of onward or return travel is required. French Polynesia is a part of France France. |
