Well, tell me how a pilot couldn't figure out if the amount of fuel in the aircraft would be enough for the duration of the flight. It isn't wartime, where you just had to take off in an emergency. At least it found a good stretch of relatively calm highway to land on. Try doing that in Lagos... ![]() |
These are pertinent issues, and almost every male is guilty of a lot of them. The one I would gladly understand and pardon any man for, is point #3. ![]() I hope to work more on my short attention span whenever my woman starts yakking over everything and nothing in particular. Once minor issues don't interest me, I totally zone out. Many women have mastered the art of trying to get your attention when they know you are absolutely, totally engrossed in a particular thing you are fond of. It makes them feel like they could be losing out on their man's scale of priorities, and that's when they try to exert themselves. It's understandable, but at the same time, it's unnecessary. Males and females are wired in a totally different way, such that their lines of thought could be absolutely diametrical. |
What else is new? This long epistle just to confirm what our ancestors, and by default, everyone else already knew...that good old missionary and doggy style is the way to go... Haba. Some folks really have a lot of time on their hands for such lengthy articles. |
Well, she's setting the records straight for those who make it their business to "count" other people's money and expenses. |
Really sad. And here's what makes the situation more depressing: For the next four years, these roads may not receive any attention because they all lie within the 5% zone that Bubu isn't happy with. What GEJ was occupied with that didn't permit him to fix many of the important roads in the south is baffling. Such a Nation-al anomaly. |
Piece of crap! If these women usually don't wear bra, apart from Angela Okorie and Beverly Osu in the pics you posted, how come everyone of them is "strapped up?" I see padded and push up bras firmly holding them titties in place! Couldn't even produce pictures to support the claim. ![]() |
It is permitted to carry cash not more than $10,000. So long as it is below this amount, you do not have to declare it. This is the law, and immigration officials know it. However, Naija being what it is, if the bearer seem unsure of what his right is, the officials might want to take advantage of this and extort the person, once they sight some cash on him. Physical search of a person is usually not done, unless there is suspicion. Just have him put the money in his pocket/wallet. |
The sort of people folks regard as celebrities nowadays.... I don't know. Is she an actress, a singer, a comedienne, a TV personality? Is that her baby? Someone just told me she is a singer, or maybe a rapper. I asked, what music is she known for? No one could answer that. Well, to those who "celebrate" her, here's something you guys can further celebrate...how to raise your baby on tobacco smoke. |
ebyjoyken:Take it easy. Depending on each child, time for adaptation varies. Be careful about putting pressure on her, because this could make it get worse. As previous replies rightly pointed out, important thing is to limit the amount of water she takes in the evening. Ensure she takes her dinner by or before 7pm, and she shouldn't be allowed to take any more liquids afterwards. This means that you should ensure she drinks enough water in the morning and afternoons, to prevent her getting thirsty at night, and to prevent dehydration. Keep waking her to visit the bathroom at least once during the night. She will adjust with time. Never make her feel guilty or scold her too much over it. Kids self-guilt over bed wetting is enough punishment for them. They are not happy about it either. |
Blowing hot and cold at the same time ![]() The most important factor to consider is this: The federal government has never deemed it fit to step into this matter of the menace of Fulani herdsmen. From 1999, when OBJ was there, through to Yar-Adua, GEJ, and now, PMB. Doesn't it prick all our so-called leaders' conscience, the death of thousands of people, from Plateau to Benue to Nasarawa, down to Enugu, Delta, Edo, Ogun, Oyo...the list goes on. It had to take the kidnap of a prominent politician for people to begin to make half hearted noise! I guess the lives of all the poor rural farmers and even travellers waylaid and killed on the highways by these blood thirsty nomads are less important. Now I'm wishing that more politicians and prominent people will get kidnapped or even killed if that's what it will take for government to wake up to it's responsibilities. Perhaps we should all allow them to overun and rape all of us non northerners, and put us into perpetual servitude. This has been their ambition since 1960. This country sucks big time! |

Dude, grow some balls and tell your friend you can't do it. You haven't said anything that could justify your taking such a risk at this tail end of your studies. That your project supervisor will be one of the invigilators for the exam he's begging you to write is more than enough reason for you to decline. It isn't being nice or kind or brave or even sympathetic...it will be an utterly stewpid thing to do. Moreover, if you write the exam and pass it, with the series of Fs he has been scoring, would it guarantee he won't still end up spending an extra semester? Be wise. Use your head, not your heart...unless you have, at this point, decided to not give a fvck about what the outcome could be. |

The hustle is real. Though this isn't a job meant for females, tricycle (keke) riding would have been a better option. I will strongly hesitate to board her bike. I'm not sure how capable a female rider would be in that crazy traffic. |
Too bad. But then, isn't the government who neglected to fix the road to be blamed too? Bad infrastructures such as this makes their services very challenging and shoddy. The government and it's people are the same. What we are experiencing in this country is systemic failure. Everything, both government and privately owned businesses/institution is on a steady decline. I'm not being pessimistic if I say the worse is yet to come. Think about this: With the decline in oil prices forecast to last several more years, how do you think things will look, say, 5 years from today? It's very, very grim. For instance, never in the history of this country has over 10 state governments owed their workers salaries for multiple months. That's one pointer. The mind boggling part: Nigeria as a country is not prepared for it. We seem to have no clue of the impending disaster. |
Waiting to see Ambode rowing a canoe on his way to the office. |
It's commendable that he is not letting his handicap limit him. But as for driving a commercial vehicle and carrying passengers, I need to pause and think...... Would YOU be comfortable to ride in this bus, especially with the crazy way people drive in Lagos? I don't think so! |
I paid a visit to an ostritch farm somewhere in Ikorodu earlier this year. While we got talking, I told the owner I would like to buy one of the birds...I felt that I can have one trot and prance around in my compound, as well as teaching it to give my little girl a ride. The man told me that he would sell the bird for N350k. I felt he was joking...told him there's no way I would shell out that much cash for the bird. Later, I realized the fellow was all business. Wondering how these birds could be that expensive. Pics I took below:

WETINUSABI:Whether he was biased in that report or not is arguable. However, I want you to compare the author of the books we are both arguing from. 1. Frederick Forsythe is an internationally renown writer. He has written several books on the New York Times' bestseller list. Before he would publish a book based on an important event as the civil war, he would vet his sources thoroughly to ensure the authenticity. He is not in the small or armature leagues. 2. Victor Banjo, on the other hand, wrote a book about HIMSELF and his experiences during the war. His narrative is purely personal. He obviously won't malign, tarnish his reputation, or call himself a traitor, will he? If you can take snapshots of the relevant pages from your book, do upload them. |
WETINUSABI:You obviously still wish to argue blindly. Frederick Forsythe visited the country during the war. He visited the battle fields and witnessed all of the things he published in his book. He was fully on ground. Don't even bother to argue that point. Help yourself and read the book. Argue from an enlightened position. The beauty of it all is that, as a Briton, he wasn't partial in his reports. If I had presented a book written by a Nigerian, you would still argue that the facts presented were tainted from sentiments. |
WETINUSABI:. After Banjo's treachery was uncovered, there is no other penalty other than death. He had planned the assassination of Ojukwu, and he almost succeeded. For every logical reason, he had to pay the penalty for that. As for your saying that the "murder" of Banjo led to the defeat of Biafra, well, just to put it mildly, that is a lot of hogwash. The incident of Banjo's betrayal of course, affected the morale of Biafra's army. But their eventual defeat was due to Britain covertly supplying the Federal forces with arms and ammunition, coupled with the act of genocide by the Nigerian government through the blockading of food and relief supplies meant for the civilian populace who eventually starved to death in their millions. |
WETINUSABI:The above is just your opinion, bro. Yes, Ojukwu did assign Banjo to handle this critical aspect during the war. He did this out of the long standing friendship both men have enjoyed. I can't say if Ojukwu was right or wrong for entrusting Banjo with this, but note that he (Ojukwu) was the commander in-chief. He has to be available to oversea every phase and battle being fought. The war wasn't fought in a single front. The Federal forces were trying to penetrate from the south through Port Harcourt, and north via Enugu. Ojukwu being a coward is purely subjective at this point, and it isn't up to me to argue over. I just came with documented evidence to counter your claims. The war was virtually won by the British for Nigeria. |
Warfare is such a complex and dirty game. Even though Gen. Gowon declared "No Victor, No Vanquished" as the outcome of that terrible period, the truth is, both sides (Nigeria and Biafra) ended up as losers Below is the last page I'm gonna be posting from this book, to conclude with. We should all be students of history. I don't think it's right for anyone to post things made up of figments from one's imagination. My counter claims are documented for anyone to verify, and I have more books detailing on the participants in this dark chapter of the history of this country.

The book continues in the following pages:

Well, you can paint whatever rosy pictures and sing the praises of Victor Banjo as much as you want. I haven't seen any documented evidence for your narrative. Is it the same Victor Banjo, who turned traitor and was eventually executed for his treachery, is the person whose image you are trying to launder? No doubt, he was a fine soldier. But set the records straight that he was executed for being a traitor. I quickly went through some of the ebooks I have in my mobile phone, and I'm going to be posting these screenshots taken from the book by Frederick Forsythe, titled "The Biafra Story" I got much more, but these few pages will suffice for the time being.

Christmas is approaching, so everyone is stepping up their hustle. Be careful out there and be security conscious. It is approaching that period when bank robbery becomes a daily occurrence. |

For real. Our men in uniform have upgraded! ![]() We're gonna see police bicycles too. They are all modes of transportation. |
Row, row, row your car gently down this stream... Take heart, it'll flow into the lagoon in a few more hours. Doesn't look that bad in Lagos compared with other states with much lower building and population density. Most part of Lagos were not planned with the consideration that it's a lowland, and quite prone to flooding. Obstruction of drainage channels makes the situation worse. |
Flying domestic is like playing Russian roulette. You have no control on what the outcome might be. If it were not for the high unemployment rate, I'm certain no pilot will accept to fly those poorly maintained contraptions called aircrafts. I still have great respect for people who have the courage to fly domestic. Dem get liver die! I know that we are all gonna die one day, but at least let me have a fighting chance when faced with a potentially deadly situation. |
This empty report still didn't say what actually happened. In what way did Sunday Oliseh actually insult Vincent or his late mother? All the several news report I have heard over this incident has so far failed to explain what happened when both men met in Belgium. |
