What could be the rationale behind any relocation to Ebonyi state? Perhaps it has a maximum prison, and better fortified than the one in Ekwulobia? Well, the state governor has made it clear that it didn't happen, so what led to the speculation and panic? |
Haven't anyone realized that this system has NOT made any appreciable improvement compared with where we should have been by now? If you were to place every development indices made so far, side by side with foreign exchange earnings from crude oil since the 70s, then you will realize that in fact, we are regressing. Isn't it abhorrent that two prominent leaders in the past once mentioned that the problem Nigeria has is not money, but how to spend it? Since then, you would think that every backroad in every rural community is tarred, steady electricity and pipe borne water wouldn't be a luxury anymore. Of course, our government isn't working, and it will NEVER work. It is the utmost foolishness to keep repeating the same process over and over again, and expecting a different result. |
Impressive. Kenya's agric industry is definitely much organized than what is obtainable in Nigeria. Even the small cottage farmers seem to have a sense of direction and good organization among it's cooperatives. But I'm thinking, the bananas mentioned were referring to what we call plantains in these parts. Am I correct? |
Not funny anymore. Do you know that type of armed robbery operation, where the criminals come with pick-up trucks, and raid from house to house along entire streets in one night? I witnessed that sort of thing during the late 90s. Just got a call from friends that it just resurfaced in their neighborhoods. Since the police hardly respond, they have resorted to organizing themselves into vigilante groups to keep watch through the nights. Now that Christmas is approaching, robbery incidents are bound to get worse. Definitely, there's something the present Lagos state governor isn't getting right. |
This isn't right. Though what the police did is wrong, how will burning the police van make it right? We the masses will still pay for the damaged property, one way or another. |
Ain't that a dumb business idea? Ok, give you benefit of the doubt. Let's see how it works out. The idea itself is contradictory. It's a night club. It's for Christians (or for those who claim to be) What entertainment will be offered? Gospel music and bible quiz? Men and women won't be permitted to get cozy together, right? Whatever mission and vision you have for such a venture will probably fizzle out after a few months of running the place. Don't mock God. Bros, invest your money elsewhere, abeg. That you are an entertainer doesn't mean you can't go into other areas of business. Christianity has been abused enough. Don't add to it. There are lots of edifying ways you can show God your gratitude. |
Explosive. With revelations such as this, you know that this country is in a stranglehold. we are in a sham country where evil and institutional corruption can never be silenced. Even the president has been put in check after his initial chest beating and promises to end it all. We may never recover from this legacy of the past military governments. |
A typical political response: Do not lie, but do not say the truth either. Make it ambiguous, to keep them guessing. Since FG owns the building, and reserves the right to name it after anyone it so desires, the response didn't specifically confirm that FG named the building after Okorocha's daughter. (I am almost certain FG didn't come up with this name. There is no reason for FG to honor the governor's daughter here) What the boot-licking Special Assistant on Information should have done is to mention who, or what body came up with the name, so as to put the "lies and libelous stories" to rest, once and for all. But he didn't. He couldn't! Finally, in their usual conclusion, every sort of opposition and call for accountability in Nigerian politics is always an opportunity to "blame your enemy who wants to tarnish your image". I'm sure the paid goon is giving himself a pat on the back for this empty rebuttal. Rumors and deceits gain grounds when truth decides to keep quiet. He still didn't confirm who named the building, so let the rumors continue. Democracy made in Nigeria, for Nigerians. |
N7,000 to terminate a pregnancy? Was she meant to go to see a butcher to carve it out of her? |
Even a "herbal practitioner" is accusing someone else to be fetish ![]() Their marriage must be really unique. Didn't know that getting an abortion could be as cheap as 7k. |
If I could get a hold of you right now, I would give you a drill that will reset your ridiculously dumb and ignorant ass. You mean, you realized you don't love her and she is not your type anymore, after years of dating and getting her pregnant four times? I swear, I wouldn't hesitate to ruin you any way I can if the girl is related to me. How callous and insensitive can a guy get? When you were humping her, you were a "man". It's time for a reality check and you suddenly realize you are a "boy" of 24. Now, the three years age difference between the two of you has become an issue ![]() Here's my candid advice: Tell your parents how you fvcked up, and go with them to settle issues with your girl's people. If you feel you still need to enjoy life and abdicate your responsibility to that girl, you may end up suffering instead. Karma loves people like you. |
If Nigeria isn't a lawless country in the first place, why else would an elected public official accept an expensive gift and go ahead to flaunt it on social media? Of course, such unethical thing happens all the time, but the officials involved keep it hidden. It takes someone who doesn't know what governance and public service involves to brazenly flaunt such an inducement. A one time minister and governor! If he wants to use Rivers state resource to acquire an armored vehicle for himself, there are legal channels to do so, I think. |
Seriously, incidence of armed robbery has been on the increase in Lagos since Ambode took over. |
The report didn't even hint at jail time for the teachers! Isn't this a crime? Sex with a minor? Thought by now, they should have been arrested and getting prepared for trial, not just DNA tests. |
Shallow at best. Same thing we've been hearing since independence. Seem like the things that makes us different is much deeper than what unites us...and those differences keep growing deeper roots. The only people who have so far benefited from our strife are the people in power. |
Most farmers are aware they can protect their farmlands with such wire fences. The question is, how many farmers can afford the cost of securing hectares of farmland with this? For instance, kindly give an estimate of what it would cost to fence 1 hectare with this type of wire fence. |
@OP: Did anyone teach you what paragraphs are meant for? I wouldn't bother to read that epistle up there. Would be too tedious. |
I wonder what sort of training these trailer drivers had? Haven't seen any other place where tankers and trailers tumble and collapse on the road unprovoked. No collision of sorts, and still occurs in places where the roads still look decent. |
Dottore:U don put leg for abokii shitt ![]() You didn't read the creed of the religion of intolerance before going ahead to post a comment? The adherents of that religion are very peaceful...except they love to behead folks who make jest of their prophet. They are free to defecate on the threads of other religions on NL, but won't tolerate any sort of input in their own thread by any "infidel". Well, congratulations, you just unwittingly became one of them. I suggest you change your name to Abdulkaikai Ibrahim, and remember to pray five times daily. Don't ask me what direction to face when praying. The God I serve is Omnipresent and I communicate with him irrespective of the direction I face. |
Even that building beside the collapsed one look unsafe. It is obvious that the top floor wasn't part of the original plan. The landlord just added it, not minding if the foundation is capable of bearing the load. Plus, the area was originally a swamp. Just a matter of time too... |
In other words, for these people, human life is inferior to that of cows and bulls. Similar to the mindset of Fulani herdsmen. Why not leave the man to get punished by the gods the Hindus serve and believe in? On a lighter note, it seem cows in India have a better life expectancy than humans in Naija |
Diddyydiva:Exactly what I was about to say. These bloggers won't give it a rest. It's stale news already. |
Sorry about your misadventure. Though I see no reason why you think you need to explain how you got the iphone, and to also upload a picture of it. If you didn't struggle with them, how did you get injured? Were you trying to explain how you got the iphone to them too? Must be really precious to you ![]() Lesson: Save your important data (your uncompleted songs) in more than one storage device, as backup. |
preshOnogwu1:"Still praying for God's mercy sha." This is the typical statement we all employ to wash our hands off any responsibility. As if God Himself has to descend and set everything right, without any input from us. God has got absolutely nothing to do with this. It doesn't need divine guidance or intervention or intelligence to realize what this problem is, as well as the nomadic Fulani herdsmen and the powerful sponsors behind them. Can we just finally admit that Nigeria belongs to them and other tribes are mere vassals at their disposal, that can be slaughtered at will, with no fear of repercussions? Can anyone argue that if any other tribe in Nigeria has been responsible for so many deaths, there would have been total upheaval and extreme genocide of that offensive tribe? Only the Fulanis seem to have government covert support for wholesale slaughter of any other tribe in Nigeria. I'm absolutely sick of a non existing government that officially still chose to refer to them as "suspected gunmen" Exactly how much lives will be wasted before a so called government will rise to its responsibility? That such whopping amount of death and destruction is being recorded in a region where there is no warfare is mind boggling. I implore everyone to download the reports up there. I just did, and I'm reading them. Each of the document is less than 2MB, and in PDF format. Can the mods please take this post to the front page. This in-depth research needs as much exposure as it can get. Lalasticlala, Seun, Mynd44, Afam4eva, OAM4J |
So, is that John the thief getting "arranged" in that picture, or you just uploaded it to add Ajinomoto to sweeten this cooked up epistle? |
obstead200:Thanks. Been trying to open the mail since then. Having problem with it. Can you resend it, please? |
obstead200:Check your mail, bro. |
From that first picture, he doesn't seem too happy to have regained his sanity. ![]() Perhaps that's what has been helping him to cope in this crazy life. |
That isn't a husband. Just a sorry excuse of a male specimen. |
Even if Ghana pays up the money owed...$181m, it still won't mark any change or improvement here. It won't improve our own power supply, or any structural changes in public facilities. It's interesting to note from these comments that Ghanaians think that their politicians are very corrupt, and their educational sector is on the decline...things the average Nigerian think otherwise. Personally, I don't care a hoot if the gas supply gets disconnected or not. It hasn't touched my life in anyway, and it may never will. |
mymadam:You right, bro. My bad. Thanks. |
EverestdeBliu:A win for whom, please? |
