Nice thread! I love this especially because as a psychiatrist in Africa,, i find that my biggest challenges are not diagnosing some of these mental illnesses, it is getting the patient and their relatives to believe it is manageable in a hospital setting. This thread will help us to demystify depression and other mental illnesses and crreate awareness. i will b following this thread from now and will be interested in helping and tuking to anyone who is in need of a listening ear and professional advice and counseling. Kudos @ Op for this inovation!. |

i bought a a butterfly light camry with a mileage of 230k with an engine dat was as sound as sleep and 1 year down the lane, i have no complaints yet. Age and mileage are nothing but numbers". remember some of these cars are used on free ways and interstate travelling on superb roads, so the distance is nt really the issue but on conditions of roads are these cars used. i would buy a 230k milleage on a Canadian used car thana 20k mileage in a brand new car used in aba ikot ekpene road! |

Most people dont just buy things because they are gona use them in the real sense. Some buy expensive antiques which i believe this bra to be, just so they can derive some inner sometimes egostic benefit. A $2.5million bra with 5200 precious stones on them though can be used for its basic function of suporting the b--bs will certainly not be used for that purpose. It is a priced possession, an antique of sort! So the bra is still a bra and can be used as a bra but i can bet it wont be used like a regular bra! my opnion sha! |

I have never expected less nigeria! |
I think onechanges have to do in the order in which they should come not really in whether one is necesaary or not. The points i see here are: 1. Nigerian urgently needs both the constitutional change and the attitudinal change that both camps propse. The constitutional change should not have the focus of equating the no of states in each region as the Governor Obi tends to or abolishing sharia/introducing other religious laws as one poster surmises. The constituional change in my opnion should be foucused on core issues of national unity, true federalism, resource control, anticorruption and greater attention to the rule of law and fiscal federalism. No of states and and sundry issues like sharia are largely results of ethnic sentiments which can be properly adressed if true federalism is practiced. 2. Doing away with the state structure in favour of the regional structures will never solve the problems of nigeria. In the history of Nigeria, there has never been a push for self actualization and anti marginalization campaigns like in recent times. A regional structure will lead to an even greater push to actualization than we have now. Each state in this polity called nigeria, has not less than 3 ethnic groups making it up and each arre trying to produce the governors, the senators and ministers! imagine the chaos if all the ethnic dimensions in the south souith where trying to produce a regional governor. Also inthe regional arrangement, development will be very very far from the grass roots. 3. Until ethniity and religious sentiments are removed in its entirety from the polity, no constitutional change, no political reform, no electoral reform will help this country. |
NollyWood makes u believe: That u can be shot in the head and the pain will be felt first in the stomach! That a high tension cable can be made to shock a whole bus with passengers in it and make them sleep for a few minutes! That for u to fire the Ak47, u need to shrug it violently in direction of ur target! That for the sex to be good it has to be under covers! That every poison acts within a few seconds after u taste it. That White foams must fill and overflow the mouth of a poisoned person That mad people see visions or somewhere have a knowledge of who is good and who is eveil That all kings are out of this world rich even when the governor and the president are part of the movie! That aki and paw paw are commedians! |
Maryam babangida. Fatuna Abubakar was humble, was beautiful and educated and all but she did nothing to help the ngierian woman. She came, She saw, she did nothing!!! |
i thank God your child is ok now @ Op. But lets see, is it really possible that the child could have had malaria and pnuemonia at the same time? The answer is a big yes!Now i am not trying to defend the doctor but like a lot of my colleagues have already stated, the practice of medicine in Nigeria is suffering and will continue to suffer because of the dearth of personnel and facilities to wirk with. About looking up a text, i think that if were smart enough, you woould know that it was be, if tter he looked it up than do the wrong thing. There is absoultely anything wrong in looking up. If a lawyer made a mistake, his client ends up in jail, if a business administrator makes a mistake, his business crumple but if a doctor makes a mistake, it is usually buried 6 feet under. And can i bet that you were not patient enough to answer all the questions the doctor would love to ask you. We get this all the time. A patient relation rushes in a patient and by the time you ask 5 or 6 questions, he becomes terribly impatient and wants you to offer a treatment immediately. Also many times, a patient who is already convinced that the child has malaria as in the case here, blatantly refuses to pay for any investigations because according to them, the symptoms are those of malaria. These are some of the issues here, you said the paediatrician was strolling into the hospital, that measn he doesnt even have a car! How on earth do you expect poorly remunerated doctors to be motivated to work!? These are the issues!!!! |
very at the Lion King Cartoon. Now ALUU becomes the most popular place in the net!!! Even Mofasa the Lion King dreads it!!! |
