The FG and all the northern States governors are seriously pursuing an avowed agenda. But the foolish southern leaders are mopping on. Ask yourselves, how come the government in the north are swift in paying heavy ransom in billions to the bandits, Fulani herders and boko haram with which money the terrorists a.k.a. bandits acquires more weapons for the secret agenda, anytime the bandits kidnapped school students & women in the north. But the government will declare a military operations in the East against ESN that it only role is to defend & protect innocent farmers, girls and women in the East against the killer Fulani herders.
Call in sheikh Ahmad Gumi he knows what to do. Those bandits are his members. Maybe, just maybe the bandits needs more money in billions from government to buy more weapons. Get Gumi involve asap
If you take el-rufai serious on this, then you can trust the devil himself, as your right hand pal. El-rufai is simply throwing a bait, for his 2023 presidential ambition, and I can see a lot of undiscerning persons falling for it already.
nairalandankrah: All States must have Ruga – Matawalle says after chat with Buhari..
He spoke to reporters after a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Matawalle said a presidential intervention was underway “to sustain the peace Zamfara is now enjoying’’.
He added that solution to the recurring violence between farmers and herders “was ruga”.
“All state governments must brace up and construct grazing grounds, popularly called Ruga, so as to find a lasting solution to clashes between herdsmen and farmers across the country,” he said.
Matawalle expressed confidence that the provision of the grazing grounds will discourage herdsmen’s desire for relocation.
“In Zamfara, we are constructing Ruga for them. If we allow them to keep moving around, migrating from one State to another, we cannot bring this issue to an end,” he stated.
NGF Chairman and Ekiti Governor, Kayode Fayemi, briefed State House correspondents after an emergency meeting at the State House Banquet Hall.
Fayemi said the governors reviewed farmers/herders conflict, banditry, kidnapping, militancy, sea piracy, cultism, youth protests, insurgency, among others.
He said the NGF condemned ethnic profiling of crime and criminality in the country.
Fayemi disclosed that governors restated commitment to the protection of lives and property and sympathize with those who are bereaved.
“The Governors Forum has gone ahead also to provide some financial support to victims of the conflict experienced in Oyo and Ogun States where our delegation visited last week.
“Nigerian governors also said in very clear terms, that crime and criminality should comprehensively be prosecuted wherever they may occur without ethnic, religious or any other colouration.
“Governors are totally opposed to ethnic profiling of crime; knowing what has transpired in other parts of the world,’’ he said.
On the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP), the forum agreed that the traditional method of grazing was no longer viable.
The meeting also reviewed the challenge of resources for Nigeria’s military institutions.
Fayemi added that the NGF welcomed the appointment of new service chiefs and would fully support them.
Zamfara Governor, Bello Matawalle said he advised his Niger counterpart, Abubakar Bello, to negotiate with the terrorists.
Matawalle insisted negotiation was not a sign of weakness but part of peace efforts because he realised not all bandits were terrorists.
He made the remark after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House on Wednesday.
Matawalle told reporters that he inherited banditry from the previous administration in Zamfara.
“It had been there for almost eight years before I came. Following the dialogue I initiated with the bandits, Zamfara is now very calm”, NAN quoted him as saying.
“I have advised the Governor of Niger to meet with all stakeholders and find out the root cause of the crisis so as to initiate dialogue and ensure reconciliation. That is the only way to achieve what I have been able to achieve in my State.
He disclosed that the governor was following steps for peace, adding that there shall be an end to the clashes soon.
Staff, students and family members of the Government Secondary School, Kagara in Niger, were kidnapped late Tuesday.
The federal government said there are political and military options on the table.
Una think say South South oil no go finished I no say once the oil dried up, all this nonsense go stop. I wish God can just dried up the oil for a year or two, make everybody dey alright las las!
The advice is not actually because they truly love peace and by extension Nigeria. The advice is coming amidst fear of loosing out because should any crisis of a large scale breaks out, the north stands to lose big time, since the current structure benefits them massively.
Dr. GEJ should run as fast as his legs can carry him from the (APC's scheming) poisoned chalice. El-rufai ( Hell is fire) is a more terrible ethnic bigot than buhari. GEJ should know that, he cannot salvage Nigeria in her present state. As a matter of fact, he will Dr. Jonathan a lot more good if he can stay clear from partisan politics. My ten kobo advice. I have done talking & I hope I made sense
Presidency, Presidency & Presidency! Who is this faceless group And who are they APC have killed Nigeria and have introduced an unknown lexicon into the Nigerian political space
TheRareGem1: The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has described the recent crisis in Shasha, Ibadan as unfortunate, and called on the law unforcement agencies to fish out the perpetrators.
He disclosed this on Sunday while speaking with newsmen during a condolence visit to the Ilupeju residence of the now Late former Governor of Lagos State, Chief Lateef Jakande.
According to Osinbajo, "I have heard about the unfortunate mayhem and the tragic loss of lives at the Shasha market in the past few days. For decades, traders from the North have done business with their brothers from the Southwest and they have lived in peace and even inter-married. Shasha is a place of unity."
The Vice President also said that criminals must be dealt with according to the law and not as a retaliation to ethnic hate, “So when a disagreement arises between individuals or a criminal act is committed by one against the other we must ensure that we see it for what it is, a criminal act, which must be punished according to law, not an ethnic conflict."
The Vice President stated that each citizen has the right to live anywhere in peace and under the law. He added, "It is the duty of government through the police and other law enforcement agencies to arrest and prosecute any person who commits a crime against a citizen of this nation. It is the role of the citizen to assist the police to identify the criminals. We must never take the law into our own hands, if we do we will be promoting chaos, and a breakdown of law and order, and all of us especially the most vulnerable amongst us, will be at risk." He then urged community leaders to work together to preserve brotherly coexistence, while lauding the placative efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde; "I commend the governor for his swift and decisive action and all the law enforcement agencies for their prompt intervention."
Officialhorlah: The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take a decisive action to stop the inter-ethnic violence in parts of South-west Nigeria.
Mr Matawalle made the call on Sunday through a statement signed by his spokesperson, Zailani Bappa.
The governor issued the statement in reaction to the violence on Friday at Shasha market in Ibadan that pitted hoodlums from two ethnic groups against each other.
Condemning “ethnic discrimination and regional dichotomy” in Nigeria, Mr Matawalle also appealled to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to douse the violence in his domain.
Tension has been rising in many parts of Nigeria between indigeneous communities and Fulani settlers over violent crimes and attack on farmers widely attributed to cattle herders.
The development has reared its head in Oyo, too, where Sunday “Igboho” Adeyemo last month led some hoodlums to sack Fulani settlements in the Ibarapa area of the state.
But last Friday’s disturbances in Ibadan were sparked by a minor dispute in the market between two persons.

GOV MATAWALLE CONDEMNS ETHNIC ATTACKS, IMPLORE PRESIDENT TO ACT
In the light of ongoing wanton attacks and primitive violence on the Northern community in Ibadan, Governor Bello Mohammed has strongly condemned any act of ethnic discrimination and regional dichotomy.
Governor Matawalle, who assessed and sympathised with the victims of the ethnic attack, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take decisive action on the spate of violence gripping some South-Western States and gradually turning into criminality.
‘It is inexcusable that at this stage of our journey as a nation, we are yet to come to terms with the fact that God has made it a destiny for us to live as one people. It is unfortunate that while our counterparts elsewhere are fusing up from particularity to generality as a people, we are fast sliding backwards from semblance of generality to particularity as a people’, Governor Matawalle lamented.
He noted that ethnic hate and regional dichotomy will not lead us to whatever we think we can gain out of it but backwardness and doom.
Governor Matawalle called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take a decisive step towards ending the ethnic profiling of the Fulani tribe in some parts of the country which is now graduating to include the entire Northern communities especially in Oyo state.
‘I also urge my colleague, the Governor of Oyo state to take concrete steps in curtailing the ongoing senseless attacks and ensure that such happenings do not occur again. We are battling with insurgency and banditry as a nation and here are supposed law abiding citizens unleashing mayhem on innocent citizens to compound the spate of insecurity in the country’, Governor Matawalle lamented.
‘We must eschew primitive hatred against one another and learn to live with ourselves as one people. Our common enemy is not among those we live in the same community, buy and sell from one another, but those who take up arms against us in the name of banditry and insurgency’, Governor Matawalle observed and advised.
Where on earth is our First Lady Where is Aisha No good mother can afford to abandoned her children in time of adversity She is the mother of the nation and can't just run away from her wards, like she has done.

farem: ‘You’re unfit for public office’ — Akeredolu hits Bauchi gov over defence of armed herders ‘You’re unfit for public office’ — Akeredolu hits Bauchi gov over defence of armed herders February 13 20:12 2021 by Taiwo Adebulu 0 Comments FacebookTwitterTelegramCopy LinkWhatsAppMore Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo state, has criticised Bala Mohammed, his Bauchi state counterpart, for defending the use of arms by herders.

On Thursday, Mohammed said herders carry weapons because they need to protect themselves.
Describing the comments as careless and despicable, Akeredolu said his governor colleague has encouraged all other Nigerians to carry arms.
“We read with dismay, the outburst in the purported statement by the Bauchi state governor. We are persuaded to believe he didn’t make that statement,” a statement released by Donald Ojogo, the Ondo state commissioner for information and orientation, read.

“If indeed he made that statement and owns up to its contents, it then means that the Bauchi state governor has declared on behalf of the federal government, an executive order which now allows all Nigerians, herdsmen inclusive, to carry prohibited firearms like assault rifles for self-defence.
“That is exactly what the governor has done and displayed by his conduct which brazenly depicts that whether other Nigerians like it or not, herdsmen must carry AK 47 for self-defence while other non-Fulani herdsmen must remain unarmed to be perpetual victims of arms wielding bandits.
“By that statement, the governor has in one breath, agreed that indeed Fulani herdsmen carry AK 47 and at the same time encouraging all to do likewise.

“The Bauchi governor has by his conduct and attitude, ushered us into the next level on the path to anarchy. He’s not fit for public office, persons of such impecunious disposition and character is not fit for public office.
”As long as Nigeria’s consideration remains unchanged, it is still unlawful for any unauthorised persons to carry prohibited arms. The statement is most despicable, highly recommended for the dust bin of careless talks.”
In January, Akeredolu ordered herders to vacate Ondo forest reserves, saying “bad elements” had turned the forest reserves into hideouts for keeping victims of kidnapping, negotiating for ransom and carrying out other criminal activities.
Wisdomkosi: Policeman Threatens To Kill Nigerian Journalist, Points Gun At Him (Photos)
By Wisdom Nwedene
A Nigerian policeman, on Friday, threatened to kill the Thecable investigative journalist, Femi Owolabi at GTB branch on Ring Road, Ibadan.
IGBERE TV gathered that trouble started when the Journalist found out that the exit/entrance by the parking lot was blocked as security operatives were trying to make a way for the motorcade of a yet to be identified ‘VIP.’
According to him, "I came by the roadside, and just behind this police officer (pictured here), I muttered, asking why the process was taking that long. He looked in my direction, pointed his gun at me and shouted “to hell with anybody who say anything here!”
"Of course, I wasn’t gonna take that bullshit. “To hell with you, too!” I threw it back at him. And before I could blink a next, about three other of his colleagues had jumped at me—pushing me, dragging me by my shirt and asking what my problem was. My voice rose to a scream, demanding to know why this policeman would wanna shoot at a citizen of the republic whose ‘offense’ was to ask why this blockage at the bank’s entrance? "
" Soon, the bank customers around weighed in and brought me out of the grab of these alcohol reeking officers. "
"As I made to leave, this policeman (pictured here) returned to me. I was seated in the car, and he pointed his muzzle at my head screaming “esu fe lomi loni (the devil wants to use me today).” My heart sank many times when I heard the cock of the gun. I would find my breath when a superior, immediately, pulled him back. "
"I am contacting the necessary authorities about this matter, but I wanna put this here, so we all would note his face. He does not deserve this uniform!".
I wish you got his name tagged well enough, but nevertheless, since you know the location and the time of this incident, the authorities who posted him there will probably identify him when push comes to shoves. Brief a good fearless lawyer to file some necessary papers on your behalf for attempted murder, if you said he actually pointed the nozzle of his gun to your head. I wish someone around had got a picture of that too. But nevertheless, do the needful
black9: Barely five days after the peace parley between Ondo State Government and Fulani herders, some suspected herders have killed a member of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) in Iju, Akure North Local Council.
