The point of this thread is to address if 'good' deeds are recognized by xtian god irregardless of religion. The samaritan's existence does not matter, what matters is your (alleged) Jesus allegedly used that story to show one could get into heaven via good deeds alone. Do you think an 'evil' person could go to heaven?

I'm not sure why this is an issue. Ah, yes, good and evil. Fo.olish atheists are all evil etc, so they can't get into heaven or have nice things because they refused to bow down to the concept of a magical dictator in the sky who orders them to go for the throat of other verifiably living human beings with great potential, or remain eternally ignorant, stoopid, subserviant etc.

As things stand now if I did die and wow there is heaven, with various born agains singing praise for eternity, and omnixx.x god somehow let me through, I'll burn the place down or somehow help lucifers's insurrection. On a slightly more serious note there are atheists that believe in some supernatural phenomena (not many, at all), they just don't believe in deities as first cause/god. That is the only requirement neccessary to being an atheist.

So yeah, still silly question (unless op is unaware of what atheism really means).

One of my (thankfully ex) neighbors poured boiling water on a 'squatter', then she stabbed her multiple times. Blood everywhere, the victim was on oxygen for days, life in the balance. The perpetrator was free less than a month later. Sure I don't know the circumstances but... Another was discovered to be a hijacker (among many other things ) , caught with SIM cards used in demanding ransom. Also guns, and an ostentatious life style (which included having many 'boys' around) didn't help. When I split he was still very free. He had been packed and was even on a bus scheduled for prison, someone came and bailed him, or so the story goes. Story about the bail given to me by a lawyer rather pleased with himself. Case closed it seemed. That place na 9ja film levels.

Many will have many such anecdotes, no proof of course. But it seems, 9ja is not serious about tackling the problem, scared we are we won't be able to do as we please. Bribing your way out is part of our culture.

Not much new true, but I like the way it was presented. For all those feats obito had a lot of help. For instance it could have been swirly face that took on 4th. And the hack hash genes probably and swirly face providing the untolds amount of chakra (cheap, but that's usual). I can also see the need to wipe out the uchiha, maybe because they might be able to break the genjutsu or be immune to it. So there probably was a plan to wipe them out all along. That would explain why they launched the attack on konoha with 9 tails, to breed hate and lead to the eventual persecution of the uchiha (as they are the only ones known to summon the kyuubi). They succeeded of course, danzo didn't need much to be provoked.

A few people have had existential crises after stumbling across similar situations and opted to end their lives there and then. For some, it is better to not think about this kind of things for that reason. But I think the vast majority are just too stoopid to understand what they are doing so it never occurs to them, or obtuse knob-heads that proudly don't like to think, just follow laws. Thinking is for losers, na sharp men dey chop the meat, nice guys finish last, better safe than sorry, slow and steady wins the race, burn the heretic, blah blah blah...

I remember de la soul, but I didn't follow their lyrics properly. Mos def was also fun. I heard the lasers album from lupe fiasco but didn't give it much thought. I'll look these up though, there might be something there. I've heard good things about aesop rock for instance.

Many miss the fact that the outrage reached these levels because they were good looking kids in university and someone (who probably recorded so he could gloat, for once thank eediocy for providing good results) happened to record it. It seems these kid's lives are more valuable then the many others from 'lower' ranks of life who are victims of similar crimes. It also implies that so long as one does not physically see the incident then they don't worry about it.

So we have these, the extreme shortsightedness displayed by people advocating the exact same act which caused their outrage in the first place, along with other points from the op (with some extending imo). Like the selfishness of wanting to exact revenge or censor information because it would make you feel better, not the victim families or future victims. Somehow many people seem to believe that emotional responses are the only good ones because they show you care. Again I, personally, find that notion revolting and incredibly selfish. I don't doubt their intentions but their solutions are patently silly, results are much more important than show.

Anyways, we have a long way to go, perhaps too far. Like someone pointed out elsewhere, until we have the same kind of reaction we've had to this mess to other similar incidents with 'lesser' folk as victims, corruption, intolerance etc, not much is going to change.

Not really following so I may not get it, but besides what you have pointed out, there is no law that says aliko must have blood relatives as vp, or yoruba must marry yoruba (she might be ostracized, and that is still deplorable, but again no law). In sharia law it is against the law for a muslim woman to marry a non-muslim, yes? Or am I missing something?

Undoubtably the most egregious bit is forcing your will on the woman. Why, oh why in the world do you choose who she is going to spend the rest of her life with? IT IS HER LIFE, NOT YOURS. If god is pissed he should come down and complain himself, or he could wait till judgment day or something. Sure if she's ninja material and she enjoys it, let her indulge in her sheepery, no problems. If however she were born into a muslim family but doesn't care for the faith, or even devout but insists on marrying someone of a different faith, if you persecute her then YOU ARE CLEARLY VIOLATING HER RIGHTS.
