thanks for your reply. Well I don't have ph.D in English language and I was admitted to their school. Even before they know me very well in terms of sending series of messages to them concerning winter semester. Thanks for your correction.

I have been reading all your replies; I'm sorry to say, your English is appalling. You don't need a Ph. D in English Language in other to differentiate your tenses, punctuations, and construct coherent sentences. And let me tell you, 80% of young Germans speak English fluently.

Alhamdullilah! I give gratitude two Almighty Allah for this immensely great favour he bestowed on me.
I actually started applying for jobs a month before my POP which I did on May 4th and as Allah will have it,[s] one of the places I applied for a lecturing job [/s](my state polytechnic) called me to come for my appointment letter on 20th of july , just 2months and some days after service. Although its a part time lecturing job, I believe its a good place to lunch my career and I also believe the appointment will be made fulltime by the end of the year In Shaa Allah.

Are you really a graduate ?

Very valid point. That's why most black women here looks like something excavated from an ancient grave. One needs to learn hair making badly before coming or form a partnership with a black girl with experience. You can order your hair though from known websites from China,.... Lots of options to choose from. Wo wohnst du?
Sup! write me on Whatsapp... I changed my Phone. I dey enter your side for weekend

Thank you for your response bro. I humbly agree with you on the poor usage of punctuation in my earlier post.
The spelling mistakes are well noted too. But, brother , what's wrong with "remonstrations " "come to our solace" and "limit"
As i said earlier , I'm ready to learn bro .

And I'm sorry for flooding the forum with this @all

Dude are you really serious about what is wrong with the bolded ? Read your write up again, you should have used the verb form and not noun. That is why i earlier said, make things simple.

Guys , great job so far on your efforts in different ways in making sure we are reconsidered by the German Embassy .
@niccki and all others who have taken their time to assist the affected in one way or another. Bravo!!!

I'm of the view that we should extent or peaceful remonstrations to our Concerend ministries in Nigeria as well to come to our solace and not just limit ourselves to the German foreign offices alone . Internal and external affairs . We know the decadence in these parastatals , but let's just try . Thank you.

phemmisky:

Thank you @jbonito, pls kindly point those mistakes out as i am very much ready to learn. Save for where i inserted "or " instead of "our" and "extent" in place of "extend"pls i await your corrections sir .

Let me do you the favour. Read what you wrote again.Your use of punctuation is poor, tenses should also be looked into. Try as much as possible to use simple words, use of big vocabularies is good but you have to be careful when using them.
cheers.

Good day sir/ma Please i want to bring to your notice the situation we are facing presently at the German conculateconsulate in my country we have been informed that we cant can not apply for student visa for this semester anymore because all appointment dates are booked out stating we should apply for the next summer by(nouns should be in capitals) november or december the sitution has been so devastating and has weigh a lot of applicants including myself because the school i gained admission to KV hochshule rhein waal ( Bachelor degree) only runs winter semester for my program which invarably (auto correct invariably)means that i will have to wait for another whole year before i can apply for a student visa again apart from the money spent alone while pursing the visa processing the stress passed through is not friendly please i will like to suggest if you can please provide more V.Os in the german embasseys it will be appreciated we also have another german embassey in abuja that is not in use in terms of student visa if applicants can be moved there to have their interviews that will also be appreciated.
> Thanks very much as i hope this situation will end with a positive outcome

Let us all hope for the best

You sent this to the embassy? or you are joking. Tell me it is a joke. Reading letters like this, raises serious doubt about your study intention. I pity the next group of people going for their interview. Tired of editing, too many grammatical blunders.
Abeg tus.h up your English before coming ohh, make you no come fall our hand here. Or just learn German and forget English.

please i take exception to insolence what i posted is what the school i applied gave me and if u doubt i will give u link so i just copied and pasted why call me names and say i give fake info mind u my main concern is on converting your CGPA IN NAIJA plwase learn how to talk to people in public ok have a wonderfull day

@bolded says a lot about you. Do you know me, tell me where I called you names ? Asking if you are an Admission officer is now name calling or stating that what you posted doesn't apply everywhere is now name calling..(this is new). Because your school sent you such Info, doesn't mean it applies to all Universities in Germany, Go back and read what you wrote.
A grade of below 2.7 or 2.9 is where you have issues getting admission, although there is always an exception to this. but saying a grade worse than 2.4 is a fallacy. I would advice you to stop generalisation.
That was what I corrected, if you don't like it, it's your palaver!!!! Nairaland is a faceless forum, if you feel insulted then leave. Simple as that.
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by willy2000(m): 8:59am On Jul 05, 2017
dailydolar:
In case you need help to convert your CGPA in nigeria to german grade read this

The decision if you will get admission will by made on the basis your specialization, your grades and your motivation letter.

We are looking for students with a good physics background (note, that the properties of functional materials are based on the laws of physics). Hence, we clearly prefer physicists, chemists and electrical engineers. Mechanical engineers and students holding an engineering degree in another field may also get admission.

Some weight is put on your grades. The grade system differs from country to country. Often grades are given as „A“, „B“, „C“ and so on. Yet, these grades are also translated in a number. On the basis of these numbers or points your grades are transferred into the German grade system. In the German grade system 1.0 is „very good“, 2.0 is „good“, 3.0 is „fair“ and so on. The worst grade which means „fail“ is 6.0.

Here is how the translation works: What you need is three numbers. i) the highest possible score (HPS); e.g. a „AA“ could correspond to 10.0 points. (note, that this is just an example, at your university an „AA“ or „A+“ could correspond to 4.0 points or any other value). ii) the lowest possible score (LPS) which you can achieve without failing. This could be „DD“ corresponding to 4.0 points. iii) your average score (AS). Let it be 8.31 in our example.

Then the German grade () is calculated using the following formula.
formula 1+3.HPS-CGPA÷HPS -LPS

In our example is 1.84. If your German grade is between 1.0 and 1.6 your chances of getting admission are good. If your grades are between 1.7 and 2.2 your chances are below 50%. With grades between 2.3 and 2.4 admission is still possible in exceptional cases but your chances are poor. If your grade is worse than 2.4 you will not get the admission.

Stop dishing out false Info. Who told you with a German grade of 2.4 you can't be admitted!!! (if it's Bachelors i have no idea, but for a master degree program)This is sooooooooo FALSE!!!!!!!! You be admission Officer ??

So I'm finally done with uni here in Nigeria, been following the thread for almost two years I think, I must have searched daad for every school offering computer related course(Software Engineering, Software Systems, and Intelligent Systems) in Germany, or at least the relevant ones but damn they are hard to find, at least the ones taught fully in English are hard to find. So please for those of us planning on putting in for 2018 winter or summer session for any of these computer science related courses, please feel free to hit me up let's run things.

RWTH Aachen - System Software Enginering
TU Darmstadt - Distributed Software Systems
TU Kaiserslautern - Erasmus Mundus Software Engineering
Universitat Bamberg - International System Software Science
Universitat Bielfield - Intelligent Systems
Universitat Hamburg - Intelligent Adaptive Systems

Hey I'm currently studing at the bolded Uni. If your bachelor degree is in Csc and you have a cgpa above 3.0(Nigerian grade) then you are good to go.

wow have read from part 1 bit and part a bit also,am planning on applying next year, coz am doing a bsc programme online at smc university,am not sure if anyone knows the school....coz of work....i just had to do dat and to boost IT skills and am studying IT security,i wanna know if my bsc which is a 15 months is good enough to apply, and my waec results, i have D7 in maths and b3 in English while E8 in physics bur other are credits thanks

You have a D7 in Maths and currently studying? How?
Which University is that ? Oh SMC, I just went through the site.... hmm I doubt if your first year result will be accepted in a German-University(my opinion). my reason are, most first year courses are most likely advance level subjects which is kind of comparable to the German Abitur. But your SMC don't offer such courses. Secondly, you be required to submit your ssce result (my opinion).

Wish you all the best.

Finally went to the German Embassy today and it's real. I have been issued a student visa without proof of finance.

Deutschland on Wednesday.
Don't get over excited, to get a residence permit you have to show your financial proof . For your own good, open a block account and pay the required money or take the money along with you and open a current account once you arrive.

Like I said, I found this out through research.

My take-away from it was that you get a student visa for a valid admission; & a student applicant visa for a conditional one.

[s]Someone on this thread had a problem similar to yours. His studienkollen indicated in his admission letter that he will write an exam in Germany before being admitted fully

The German consulate refused to accept that as an admission letter.[/s]

I didn't follow up so I don't know how he went about it.

I am throwing this open to more experienced guys here to shed more light on this situation.

BTW, don't apply to just one uni...spread your tentacles & hope for the best.

Don't conclude base on "Somones experience". I came to Germany on a language study visa and I converted it here to a student visa.
The Fact is, if you are coming to Germany on a Language Visa, you should have atleast B1, it is as simple as that, Most universities have preparatory classes for DSH but you require at least B1 to get into this class.

Dude, i will advise you to apply and study in English. when you get here, learn the language to a good communication level. You wan study with Deutsch. if i may ask you, how old are you? do you have a Stipendium ? If you are coming with block account, jeje apply for an English course.
From Experience, studying in German requires more time and dedication, you need to have a VERY good command of the language even with a C1, there are still challenges you will face. True life story, during my first Semester, I entered my first Class, the Professor asked if he should speak English or German, since i was the only foreigner, i decided with the others that he should take the module in German: my first mistake. I thought it was like the normal German i was used to when preparing to take the proficiency exam. Here was a Prof. from the southern part of Germany with a very strong accent, i could barely understand him and the speed at which he spoke was way beyond me. He made me feel like an A1 student.

Just save your self the stress, study in English and enjoy your German Education.
