I tell pple why carry ur siblings on ur head[/quote]I have been told the exact same thing, but ain't into prostitution or robbery, lol
Nevertheless its depends on the kinds of siblings you have.So if you see people carry their siblings on their head, its all about the love they have towards their family and that isn't a bad thing.
FamilyRe: I Want To Get Married But My Family Is Insisting I Must Settle Everybody First by Windflower(f):
By family, are you referring to your immediate or extended family. Its depends on the angle ure looking at it,do you feel u owe them anything, have you done enough for them. Do some soul searching,if you have done right by them, then I don't think you should be bothered.
Personally,I myself am making the sacrifice but they are my immediate family and I know its wont last forever.Being the first graduate among,I spend nothing less than 90% of my small income on my mum and siblings which I don't regret, cos its for them to also equip themselves and start earning for themselves. Teach them how to fish and not give them fish.
No matter the situation, they shouldn't place you on that kind of condition, they should be happy you want to settle down,if they are really what you wrote there,I had flee from them
FamilyRe: YES/NO....I Need Help by Windflower(f): 11:17pm On Sep 28, 2017
Talking from the little life experiences that have seen,I would say you should pray about it,go on a dry fasting and prayer, you might also visit a genuine pastor if you know one. Many make mistakes in marriages and they later regret. A case study is my aunt who married her husband despite several warnings, now she is regretting it. The problem many have with our so called pastors is they are fake, but believe me this spiritual aspect of marriage is real.

ultron12345:
The government is to blame for this for not providing enough beds and facilities in public hospitals, but how can they provide it when Nigerians pay abysmally low prices for public health services, untill the health sector is privatized and Nigerians or health insurance companies are made to pay the real cost of health services I don't see it getting better.

There is nothing wrong with the demand of N250k by the private hospital, they are businesses and have the right not to give services on credit
Can you imagine what ure saying, even if ure very comfortable, don't spite on others cos its not their doing.
How can someone who can't afford three square meal be able to pay medical fee of 250,000. Go out there, people are suffering, its not easy, privatization is not an option,if you can afford it what about people that cannot.

Get a side chick.
Life too short for this kyn stress...
'cause you can be rest assured that she is getting her needs met elsewhere.
It's either that or she was an undercover_lesbian who married you just to save face.
And I don't think any of those options are desirable.
It seems every other aspect of your marriage is working well, so why try to ruin it?
Get a side bish with or without her permission. Wife satisfies your emotional needs, the hoe meets your sexual needs.. It's not adultery, it's called compartmentalization and delegation of duties.
So if a woman doesn't like sex,its means she is either a lesbian or she is cheating. You are so wrong

Lombrozo:
It is not everyone that spends money on naming. You could call a Pastor to come pray and name the child without any other person involved.
It is not all tribes that throw parties and even pick aso ebi for naming.
I intend to just call a Pastor to pray.
Christian will find it difficult to do this because they will invite the church members to attend there ceremony
Its not difficult, few church members come they sit in your living room or rent small chair if its not enough, after the naming, you share whatever you have to .Everything is already over within a space of 3hours.I know someone who used this method

Child dedication or naming ceremony, any how you call it,
is it compulsory to observe this,
and if anyone choose not to,
what could be the consequence ?
It's just a religious activity. though my opinion
To me its not compulsory, you can just call a pastor/cleric to pray and name the baby. Take few pictures and give the visitors small chops, drinks or biscuit. I prefer doing things in a simple way,why waste money on frivolities, some would even go to the extent of taking aso ebi and cook as if they are expecting a whole state.

MrBigiman:
Thanks. So far I have managed to save 800k. I told the lady we should try and budget 500k, so we still have some change but she claim I don't value her and says I should step it up to 1.4m. She also say I must buy a ride, DAT she can't be married and trekking.
You should flee from such woman,500k should be enough to have a nice wedding. You shouldn't spend all your savings on a wedding.
You would only remember your wedding day via pictures, thats all, even your guest would have forgotten your wedding day within a short period of time.
In addition, out of the remaining 300k use like 50k and stock up food in the house that will last for a long time
Save little in your account in case of emergency
Use the rest to reinvest in your business if you already have one,if ure still on a salary job, look for a business you can start with the rest.
Its better to have multiple source of income as a family man, anything can happen to that job or that business
You should always be prepared
Instead of buying a car, even if you have the money buy a land first,I know of someone who used his NYSC savings to acquire a piece of land,he was collecting 70,000 monthly after service and continued to live with his parent, within a space of three years he had finished building his house, now he is married.he did a low budget wedding.
EducationRe: Is It Legal For Teachers To Flog Students In Nigeria? by Windflower(f): 8:24pm On Sep 19, 2017
Mrchusenvessel:
During Our Nursery, primary, secondary School Days, there Is Just One Teacher We Are Afraid Of,guess Who ? The One Whose Cane Hurt The Most.So This Question Just Pop Into My Mind Isd It Legal For Teachers To Beat In Nigeria?
Its not legal, dunno for private schools but the public school I was posted, instruction was given from above that no teacher should flog a child.
Also,as an educationist you don't flog pupils, you enforce discipline through other means.
That been said, its depends on the circumstances. Today was so frustrating for me,pupils that I only see once in a week because its is a centre,we cannot compare public and private school pupils, the difference is crystal clear.
For a class of over 50 primary student,I could not flog them, the highest I could do was walk them out of the class, yet they don't feel remorseful. To the extent that one crossed her leg and when I asked her she told me she was tired,a primary six pupil already forming big gurl.
My point is pupil in public schools come from a non privileged background that makes them behave razz.
Imagine a parent coming to complain that her child doesn't practice good personal hygiene, is it the responsibility of the teacher to do that. They pollute and mess up the class even when there is a waist bin. If I wasn't a very patient person and having studied education, I would have totally beaten the hell out of them.

Although If I learn something like palm reading, I'm gon be starting convos like a boss grin
That's the problem, you don't have to worry about anything, everything has to do with our mindset.Next time do not procrastinate, always challenge yourself to dare something you haven't done before.

Now, am trying not to be too withdrawn from people, today I was really playful at work that people were surprised. I guess we just have to learn to adjust our introverted nature so people don't see us as alien. smiley

please guys I need your advice, any suggestions on how to overcome shyness towards approaching ladies. Am 23 done with school and currently working but I have never had a girlfriend. As much as I tell myself that having one is not my priority now. It's just doesn't feel right that i have never been able to ask any lady out
In my opinion, I believe there is no other way to overcome shyness other than increasing your self esteem. I used to be shy especially when walking and people keeps staring, another factor was that I wasn't tall, thinking that people would always look down on me because of this. Well, this was true but then I can't allow my height define my life,so I had to snap out of the low self esteem mentality. Now,when I walk,I do it with pride,I gave myself a high dosage of self esteem, what people think about me isn't my problem,my concern is how I see myself. Nobody can take away your shyness, you have got to fight it yourself, dare yourself to ask a lady out on a date, the worst she can do is to reject the offer.
FamilyRe: Introverts Lounge (Extroverts Pls Keep Off !!) by Windflower(f): 7:09pm On Sep 14, 2017
Waow, just came across this thread,It's feels like home already. Am an introvert and i don't know if ones upbringing can cause one to be an introvert but for me,I guess it did. I was raised by very strict parent who instilled both fear along side morals. To the extent that now am grown up,but I can't bring myself to doing anything immoral cos its feels like I still see my dad telling me not to.

The belief is that introvert and shyness are two different social phenomenon, which I believe is true because now have learnt to do away with shyness.
I am still reserved but can easily get into conversation and flow when need be

Wat d Fúck are u saying ND hw doez it correlate wit d topic of discussion.

Don't u c young people coming out of different higher institutions or does it happen alone in Unilorin as a result of dia archaic methods.

Again I ask

Wat d Fûck are u saying?
Lol,I can see you are really pained.
Believe me,am use to hearing poo like this. I don't see any reason why my comments affected you, except ure also beefing. Now lemme also ask you,why the Bleep are you pained.

If you had taken your time to read carefully, you would have noticed that I only made mention of the age as to why people are beefing unilorin.
EducationRe: Unilorin Post-utme: Male Candidates Made To Cut Their Hair, Females Rent Wrapper by Windflower(f): 4:09pm On Sep 14, 2017
Why are people so hypocritical in nature, these same people will condemn indecent dressing in unilag but still against effort made by unilorin to curb indecent dressing

If you don't like their methods, then don't apply there,na by force. Thats the rules and regulation guiding the school, they mould students both in character and learning. Its not a new thing.

I am a proud alumni, gained admission at age 17 finished 21,served 22 and now am working while my elder ones are still in school.
We are an advanced secondary school and we ain't complaining,so stop beefing us.
That was how I met one aunty in camp,as soon as she found out I graduated from unilorin, she began to pour all her frustration on me,because she spent over nine years studying in lautech and couldn't take the fact that she and her younger sisters age are in camp together.

DEUNSTOPPABLE:
This statement was made by Joro Olumofin, (a relationship expert) recently, and was posted here on Nairaland.com...the statement reads:

''When a man has gotten so many ladies for cheap, he will never have the patience to go through the TERMS & CONDITIONS of a Decent Girl."

How true is dis? All Decent ladies shud defend themselves or argue dis
I don't agree with the statement,if this is true, then why do men look for decent girls whenever they want to settle down. Even if terms and condition apply they abide by it because they know its worth it.

There is no terms and condition set by a decent girl other than no sex before marriage which most men can't cope with.
