Boye33:He's already playing big time in the cement industry. He's the second largest producer of cement in Nigeria and he's already doubling his cement capacities in Edo, Sokoto and Adamawa. I'm definitely sure he'll crash the market price of cement. just watch it. He once stood against Dangote's monopolistic agenda |
Dangote is truly mad!! This country's government keeps encouraging oglipoly(the extreme form of monopoly). How is it your business with what BUA is doing with his sugar refinery? afterall, he has a sugar plantation he acquired form government recently. When we tell people that Dangote is an economic predators who uses his long legs in government to get whatever he wants unduly, some idiots here will be shouting "jealousy", "bad belle". it's become clearly obvious by the day that Dangote is purely a monopolist who is singlehandedly determining the price of good and services. And yet we have the Consumers Protection Councils(CPC) that can't do shit about this. it's a pity. Just wait for his refinery to be completed, you'll see what ripper that man will be. Thank God for BUA that see the evil in what Dangote is trying to do and is tackling him head-on |
Staphylococcus:It's obvious you aren't brilliant either. First of all, MTN leads the market but it's not dominant, hence that's why it doesn't seem to control the market prices. Secondly as idiotic as NCC may be under this regime, they've managed to control and regulate the telecom industry. That's why MTN or Glo no fit try rubbish. They'll just fine them with 1 million dollars. If that sort of regulation that's in the telecom industry is what it is in Cement industry, I'm certain Dangote won't be this emboldened to try rubbish |
Aconomist:That dude doesn't know 'jack' about economics 101. It's pointless explaining things to him. The funny thing is that Dangote wouldn't try these things in abroad and get away with it. |
Krismas:It's every obvious you failed economics in WAEC. If not, you should know that, whoever controls the lion share in a market determines the price. Those competitors don't have the market share to be able toe call the shots. Even if they did, they don't have the volumes to keep up. If you are good observer, which i doubt. You'll notice that whenever Dangote invest in a new project, he likes to build so massively to the extent it can satisfy up to 80% of the country demands, you know why? Because he wants to call the shots, determine the price, he makes it so massive that future competitors won't be able to get any significant market share. That's why US has warned Nigeria about Dangote's economic malpractices. |
PAWG:On the contrary, you're very stupid. Long before they started this local production agenda, imported cements were quite cheap and affordable in the 90s |
Staphylococcus:You are not smart. it's very obvious. the major reason why they can't cut their prices is because Dangote controls more than 60% of the market share. he determines the price. That's why he's regarded as a monopolist. Have you ever wondered why Dangote exited from the noodles market, the flour market, water business and the juice business? the answer is simple. they were other serious players in each of the aforementioned business. Dangote likes to play in a business where he's clearly the market leader so that we can determine the price whenever he likes. This is a huge economic malpractices. I guess you wouldn't understand this, you aren't that smart afterall |
I kept saying it. That man is everything that is wrong with capitalism. If we operated in saner climes, he would have been long arrested for economic malpractices |
No this is unacceptable. Nmandi Kanu has really overreached his bounds. The UK Government must extradite for criminal charges. We igbos are getting locked in a dangerous game. Kanu's rhetorics is gradually turning ESN into terrorist network |
nice camera effects |
4tomandchi:He ain't doing shit. He won't even be on the scoresheet |
What's the program all about? |
Well it's obvious. The Nigerian Army is incapable of defeating a small ragtag insurgents. We have lost the war against insurgency. That means if we're at war with another standing army, we'll be wiped out to oblivion. Shame to the Nigerian Army and government as a whole |
brownemmanuel43:You need psychiatric evaluation. You are suffering from is not normal. |
The Delta State Government denied having any missing funds, that was the moment, they lost the right to reclaim their looted funds. Even the current governor knows in his heart that they bleeped up. The best thing they can do is to plead with FG at best and not starting to claim legal rights |
What does he know he's saying there. Useless president ever!!!. |
Bondinus:It's something very much to be proud of. It's not everything that must pass by road. Water transportation is an amazing mode of movement |
This 'one day governor' has become part of LASG policy |
ogwumgbe:That's very speculative. Stop cheastbeating. It's not about having the biggest reserves, it's about how you use those reserves as a fuel for industrial development |
Mensamusa:Exactly I believe that's part of Seplat's strategy with the steady progress they are making in the Anoh Gas project. They intend to not only supply the OB3 pipeline but also to create a new corridor gas networks to supply the new Owerri-Onitsha industrial axis. Industrialist have started buying up land for manufacturing activities. The fuel supply has been secured |
seunmsg:It's not any model for other state. Stop comparing yourselves with state who can't boast of 20million active populace. Lagos is megacity by virtue of having a large amount of populace. She should be comparing herself with other megacities like Tokyo, Shanghai, New York, Johannesburg and others who've got the same population or more and the infrastructure to match with it. Lagos is far behind those aforementioned cities. And those cities don't compete with other smaller provinces, they're the economic capital of their respective countries. Stop comparing Lagos with Edo state. You are just a local champion |
98 billion naira. This man represents everything that's against good economic models. He's the Rockefeller of Nigeria that the American government feared and broke down his monopolistic tendencies. If Dangote was operating in Europe, Asia or America. He wouldn't dear do this nonsense he's doing in Nigeria over there. He would have been long arrested over there and his assets forfeited for economic malpractices |
crossfm:Experience from cement, sugar and other consumables should tell you that the prices never comes down but starts to go up. You should know that already. Dangote is monopolistic criminals that thrives on economic malpractices |
oyeb15:You are trying to be mischevious Ohaji Egbema are igbos. they share the same common history with the Egbema and Obigbo people in Rivers state. That's how you lot go about distorting history for political mischiefs. Thank God for Wikipedia that keeps the accurate data of the people of the world in their database for reference purposes. |
streetsoldier1:I'm igbo too. please don't pay attention to all these riffraff online. they are pathetic beings. As regards Yoruba dominating the ICT world, that's debatable. I agree that are might be in the lead but they Igbos are definitely not sleeping. |
Simplyleo:with the nonsense you typed, you sound like with the refinery located in Lagos that means it's only the Yoruba people that will be employed!. Lagos's prosperity is tied to her population and the investment is enjoyed by all not only the Yoruba people |
danilmo:Lagos's success story is primarily tied to her population explosion. that's why private capital is been deployed form all over the world. it's got little to do with the brillance of Tinubu or Sanwa-olu, I might say that Fashola gave Lagos a little bit of boost. |
This is what Porrharcourt ought to be like had those ikwerre people were calming down, but no! They won't hear word with cultism and that chief cultists called Wike making stupid remarks of recent. Porrharcourt and Aba ought to have flourished far more than they currently are. Lack of cooperation |
sarrki:If your aim is to sell Tinubu's presidency. You've failed already before it even started |
God Bless Dangote God Bless Gov Sanwo-Olu God Bless President Buhari God Bless South West God Bless Yorubaland God Bless Federal Republic of Nigeria Children of 8 will soon arrive with their wailing and hate filled comments. Dark minded evil people that never wish anybody well.
Your myopic reasoning is sickening. Are you telling me all those projects are only meant for yoruba people alone? |
This useless hyper of that cry cry governor is back with another ass-licking job to do. Have your governor solved the water crisis in enugu? |
raker300:You guys need to chill. I'm igbo too and this cheastbeating is highly unnecessary. Lagos too is experience huge influx of industries especially in the free trade area axis in Ibeju-Lekki. I know that because I

consult for a company over there |

U see, u are stylishly stammering. U say Dangote control 60% of market shares? Then there is no better way to ruin him, than competitors lowering prices. It happened to Gala. Nothing stops the rest from producing a formidable front against him, Many of them were in the business b4 him. But u see, they are enjoyihg it.
