The Nigerian military is the most useless armed force in the world. I swear the military is clearly weak and can be challenged at given time.
IPOB could as well set up their military formation and challenge them

Honestly I'm really scared about the population explosion that's bound to happen. Analyst are right. Nigeria risk reaching 400million people by 2045, with what I'm seeing it might happen sooner. We need to begin a depopulation mechanism

I hope this will reduce the cost of cement from 4k to 1.5k. It's just crazy how the government allow Dangote play around the prices of a commodity that should be cheap because about 90% of the components needed to produce the cement is in country and it's purchased in Naira. Why all of sudden cement prices just increased by 100% and CPC isn't saying anything about it to help the consumers they were made to protect ?

All i know is this. It's the turn of a southerner to lead the nation. All political parties should adopt a southerner. Natural justice demands that it's the turn of the southeast to produce the next president. I don't wanna hear those bullshit talk of reaping where you sowed. It won't fly
Last i checked, Ogbonnaya Onu, Chris Ngige were always founding members of APC as well Buhari and Tinubu. If natural justice will not prevail, then let the contest be free for all.

Qatar... Oil a blessing rather than curse

Nigeria... Oil a curse rather than a blessings

Why the difference??
Rge difference is that Qatar produces more barrels of oil for a population of less than 20million while Nigeria produces little barrels of oil for population of more than 2020 million. Now tell me, who'll naturally get richer

PoliticsRe: China Approves Loan For $2.6 Billion AKK Gas Pipeline by winterfell007(m): 9:01am On Dec 16, 2020
idealogical:
There are more industries inn the North than the SS and SE.
You lie!! They're more industrial areas in Portharcourt and Aba than the whole North, including your highly exalted Kano...
Why aren't the private sector undertaking the project if they are sure of the industrial base in North. AKK is just another failed project waiting to happen
PoliticsRe: China Approves Loan For $2.6 Billion AKK Gas Pipeline by winterfell007(m): 8:55am On Dec 16, 2020
CSTRR:
I don't see the viability of it as well.

That is why using a rail platform would have been better.
At least, the rail would serve a bigger purpose of transporting people and trade.

We are governed by nepotistic dimwits.

They just see free Money and use it anyhow.

Money that is not really free.
Of course there's no viability. If they were any viability, they would have successfully raised bonds in the international market as they did for OB3. Ask yourself, why didn't Shell undertake that project? Afterall, Shell is financing and building pipelines in Portharcourt, Idioroko, Aba and Bayelsa to supply those industries there,
Shell and other major oil companies know it's not viable at all. Seplat is building a 700million dollar gas plant in Imo state, why isn't the government guaranteeing the project? Seplat will not be foolish to invest those huge amount if it wasn't sure of its bankability.
This project is complete political project and they know that. Sadly another loan to burden the nation
PoliticsRe: China Approves Loan For $2.6 Billion AKK Gas Pipeline by winterfell007(m): 8:30am On Dec 16, 2020
idealogical:
The gas they are piping through the pipeline is for sale and profit, to improve commercial and industrial activities and production and to create jobs and generate investments, not for show or to blow the gas through the air or to dash dash.
For sale to whom, where the industries in the north that needs them? According to them, they said the pipeline will connect with Morroco and onward to Europe. Now tell me, isn't that what the NLNG is doing?
PoliticsRe: China Approves Loan For $2.6 Billion AKK Gas Pipeline by winterfell007(m): 8:22am On Dec 16, 2020
GIANTPLUSHUB:
Not a bad loan. The pipeline is a revenue generating one.
It's definitely not a potential revenue generating point. This AKK was first muted during the GEJ administration along with the OB3 project that's currently ongoing.
GEJ did a roadshow for both projects in the international market but was only able secure investors that will bonds for the OB3 project. The AAK was perceived as unviable and therefore not bankable by the international investors . That was how the project died until Buhari assumed power. If you read closely the nature of the AKK project, you'll see that China agreed to loan government the money only because NNPC decided to guarantee that project by themselves. If not, they wouldn't dare loan that project that's not viable at all.
The reason why OB3 was able to raise money from the investors is primarily because that gas pipeline will feed gas through the escravos pipeline that connects Lagos, a huge market that needs gas and other cities within the West African market part of the gas will be supplied to the eastern region that's beginning to grow their industrial bases.
AKK is simply a political project, there's no way investors will invest 2.5billion dollars to pipe gas to the north whose industrial base is not as significant as the one in the south. This is simply another Kaduna refinery in the making

Do you want to tell you, you have not come across moronic threads of some idiots claiming that
Igbos are the greatest black in the world.
Igbos help develop America , especially if anyone of them accidentally gets a political seat abroad.
Igbos own all the stores in Lagos ,are more bullshit talk

That is what I mean by chest beating.
Stop listening to junkies that make those stupid claims. Even i myself, when I come across those threads, i laugh them off myself. There a saying that goes: 'confidence is silence; Insecurities are loud' you can relate with that statement, can't you?

The chest beating runs in the blood. Go do your research on the under 30 tech start up owners in Nigeria. And FYI your empty bragging and condescending attitudes to other tribes in why no one wants you around even in ghana and South Africa your boys have gone there to disrespect their host communities. So you see it's not a Nigerian or a yoruba thing and you folks need serious attitude changes even if you get your own country.
You've forgotten that victims of the xenophobic attacks in SA, where actually from your own people. Not to say that i don't condemn the evil that was wrought. But don't you for a sec think the igbos are too boastful. I can admit some of here on this forum blow their trumpets louder than needed but ve sure to know it's not only the igbos that engage in such frivolities, your people too stand guilty

That's because you choose to listen to lousy tribalistic igbos online that have nothing meaningful to do other than shout IPOB. The real igbos are hardly online and don't have time for these childish enthic banters. To them, sales and market is what they're occupied with most of the time

You quickly forget SME in any country is the engine of growth and prosperity. That's why government around the world try to formulate good policies that sees to their continued existence and prosperity.
Those two by two shops you are mocking, you've forgotten though they look small but they come in numbers. That's where the strength comes from. If Fashola reasoned in a myopic way, he wouldn't have bothered reconstructing the roads in Alaba, Idumota and Tradefair markets and LIRS install mini-offices for tax remittances, he should have just dismissed those two-by-two shops as insignificant and unworthy of any attention. But he was wise to know that those shops constitute the SMEs which is vital part of Lagos economy, so use your brain when next you want to insult those igbos boy because the money they raking in can feed your community people for a whole year nonstop.

grin They forget the world is moving past retail trading at balogun market and going online that's why most tech hubs in Lagos are yoruba owned without any noise making. Let them continue making noise until sanwo olu demolish their 2 by 2 fake products shop
Don't use the word 'most'. Till eternity, online e-commerce can never displace offline commerce. Nothing beats the feel of going to the open market to bargain for price. That's exactly why Konga initially failed, they thought they could displace those igbo guys in their numbers that dominate those markets in Lagos, not until Zinox boss acquired the dying company and remodel the company to be and online and offline e-commerce business.
Talking about the tech industry. Yorubas ain't dominating shit. I used to believe that bullshit myself until i researched myself and found that igbos are also doing reasonably well in the industry both in the sales of gadgets and in founding new tech startups. They're competing with the yorubas very well and giving a good account of themselves. Stop deriding the igbos, they have a reason to be proud judging from where they came from and how Nigeria bleeped them and still fucking them up.
