oakslid: Abeg, make una remind me which Governor go buy coach for Canada?........ The governor that borrowed over $700 million dollars with nothing to show for it, despite the huge IGR of the state. Now the state is nearing a debt profile of $2billion and yet, still looks like a glorified village. When people say Lagos is working, i just laugh at their gullibility. We have the Rich man's Lagos which is private sector-driven and the shouting Lagos.
Don't forget LASG got refunds for federal road projects carried out. I wait the day, the LASG financial books will be audited. Don't mind those liars. The Jonathan they condemned the one whose administration assumed the cost of repayment for the loan they sought from World Bank. They'll be throwing up lies up and down. Thank God the internet never forgets |

olujastro: This is one project that is dear to my heart but has been bedeviled by Nigerian bad belle politics. If I remember correctly, the design was released in 2009 and construction started in 2010 through a World Bank loan. Julius Berger was to build the road while CCECC the rail. Yaradua approved the first tranch of the loan as president. Jonathan was the first problem this project encountered. He denied Lagos approval for the 2nd tranch of the loan for Fashola to continue with this project simply due to political party differences. How stupid! Fashola had to drop Berger and allow CCECC to continue through little funding from Lagos' overcrowded budget. The entire work slowed down due to low funding. Ambode was the second problem this project encountered. Buhari came in and approved the loan for him to continue the project. Sadly, Ambode had his own stupid ideas. Instead of completing what he met, he decided to start his own projects that were of less importance to this, simply due to unnecessary political beef with Fashola for not supporting him to get the APC ticket. Next thing we heard from Ambode was... The project will be completed in 2022. Like what! That's when I finally concluded that Ambode has to go as we don't need political bickering from the same party in Lagos. This time, I strongly believe that Sanwo-Olu will do the needful and give us a befitting metro and highway. Guy don't be such a bloody liar. GEJ never denied you guys for sourcing loans from the World Bank, in fact the then Minister, Okonjo Iweala even decided to assume the responsibility of paying the loans Fashola sought, she even approved the grants of 200, million dollars that Fashola used to construct the Ikorodu expressway. So nigga to don't lie to defame someone's character. Here's the link to bust your lies: https://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2014/06/04/fg-approves-n40bn-loan-for-lagos-state-govt/&ved=2ahUKEwia_fDnnP_gAhVKRRUIHTrgDMcQFjAEegQIBxAB&usg=AOvVaw1NKm2AcrO6J_SrNWpc3NOa&cshid=1552483843689 |

2fine2fast: When APC wins in Yorubaland, they call us names, they wail, they cringe in severe pains saying results are rigged. When PDP wins, they gyrate all over shouting elections are fair.
I pity their ignorant lots.
We Yorubas don’t play blind politics, we don’t do hatred politics. The person, the party, his backbones, etc...are some of the factors that make Yorubas choose you or not.
Please note religion does my determine elections in SW. Seyi Makinde is a Christian coasting to victory in Oyo State that has a slightly majority Muslim populations inspite of the fact that his opponent Adelabu is a Muslim.
One last word, any of those people trying to use the freedom of the internet to cause divisions amongst the Yoruba commonwealth...shouting Afonja Muslims, Yoruba Christians...I beg you I n the name of Eledumare to stop.
If you are stubborn and choose not to, Orisa Nla will destroy you, your household, your going out, your coming in, your generations yet unborn and even your ancestors in their muddy graves will partake of the pestilence.
Eledumare a bukun gbogbo omo Yoruba nile loko, Aase. I'm from Anambra state. I really admire how the yorubas play their politics and I think the southeast should take one or two lessons from it. Secondly, please disregard any 'idiot' from the southeast who's quick to use the word 'afonja' or other unprintable names on you guys, such people don't represent the majority of the igbos. The igbo only feel marginalized in the nation political scheme. I admire you guys politically enlightened and sophisticated nature. I thought 'Jagaban' of Africa will be selecting your next governor as it is done here in Eko. |

He is still playing to the gallery. What is the purpose of building a flyover when 95% of the vehicles that will be plying it would be bicycles and keke Do you know you are ignorantly cynical. Why do go about denigrating igbos from other states other than Anambra, making it look like Anambra is quarreling with her fellow brothers from other states. Let it be the last time you make such stupid comments, you are not our spokesman, nobody made you Anambra's champion and you definitely do not represent our opinions, so Bleep off |

Queseda: Yorubas are the architects of whatever rubbish the Igbos in Lagos say about them. Imagine, how can you employ foreigners to work in your civil service when you have thousands of unemployed SWners? How many non-Igbos will u find in SE state civil service? Zero! You keep playing the big brother role to ingrates at the detriment of your own people. To the extent of even granting them representation in the House of Assembly. Una mumu never do! They have as much right as you to seek opportunities in civil service. No law disenfranchises them, you can only argue for a qouta of the slots available be given to original indigenes. When Rivers or Anambra Government opens their portals for recruitment you can go apply, there's no law that will sideline you. |

Kennydoc: The greatest cities in the world usually have a heterogenous population of people. Yorubas alone couldn't have made Lagos what it is today. Even the massive population of Lagos which gives it one of its bragging rights is contributed to a large extent by Igbos and all other Nigerians. Much of the amenities Lagos enjoys were built to service all Nigerians. Stop thinking like a 17th Century African. Think like a 21st Century human living in a modern world. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan is Pakistani - British man. Obama is a Kenyan American. These are the realities of the modern world. Igbos shouldn't only be good for paying taxes in Lagos. They should be able to live and work comfortably in any sector in Lagos too. Some of them were born and raised there while some of you that make noise on social media have never lived in Lagos for even a month. You're not more Lagos than they are. God bless you brother. That's what I say to fellow Omoluabi brothers. Lagos historically may belong to the Yorubas but since the birth of Nigeria, Lagos has witnessed significant economic growth due to the cosmopolitan nature of the city. Lagos is witnessing steady progress because people from all over Nigeria are migrating to Lagos to either create opportunities or seek opportunities. That's the same trend for great cities llke New York, London, Paris, Dubai their cosmopolitan look makes it an economic success. |

Andrez123: I can't remember Chelsea been beaten by 6 goals to nil by any team since I was born, that been said, I think Chelsea played much better at the end of the 1st half after being 4-0 down, they also started the 2nd half brightly but Manchester City gradually came back into the game then won that penalty after Sterling was fouled by Azpilicueta in the box and it became 5-0, from then onwards Chelsea didn't really do anything again in an attacking sense apart from one good run by Loftus-Cheek.
I know that Chelsea fans are hurting but I feel that Sarri should be given more time and another transfer window to rectify the problems if the results don't improve by next season then he should be sacked.

I know majority of Yorubas will not vote for Atiku not because they hate him but simply because of Peter Obi. That's the only reason I've been hammering. The only reason why people don't wanna vote for Atiku is just because he's got a potential igbo vice president, it's got nothing to do with his alleged corrupt practice.
