hycode: Oga wip I checked and it seems one must have a valid Schengen visa or OECD member nation visa/permit for eligibility, ironically Turkey is part of this OECD nations, now does having the TRNC permit qualifies one for this??
Yeah you need valid OECD member visa or Schengen. One good news i found out again is that, i have 2yrs multiple entry visa to Turkey with 30days stay each time and i happened to meet the consular in a meeting today and he said if one once had multiple entry and as soon as you apply and u indicate multiple then multiple will be issued but if you have single before then if you tick your country and you are under single then u will be issued single. Also the system works so perfect and cheaper, when you are applying, i did apply for my friend on Thursday and she received her visa after 18hrs 6 months validity 30days stay but single cos this her first time entering Turkey.

hycode:
Applicable to all and including Nigerians in all places.
I heard its not for study visa. Is it true?
True, basically for business and tourism for now as they intend to integrate study as soon as possible. The applicants can just apply him/herself without visiting agents although they have accredited agents in some countries as listed by Turkish government.
TravelRe: North Cyprus by wip7: 6:10pm On May 20, 2013
Turkey opens E-VISA (Nigerians are eligible) Now

It is now possible for applicants to apply for Turkish entry visa and obtain the visa within 24hrs without visiting the embassy now. You only need internet and have the required documents to be scanned and submitted. The advantage of the E-visa is the validity is now longer with maximum stay of 30days. The Disadvantage is that is only Single entry allowed for Nigerians. Visit e-visa site.

fados4sure: Mr WIP7? There is something I want you to do for me. There is an agent who says they are representative of CIU in Benin city, who is scamming people. Can you help me to call them to order?
I wish i can do that for you but i have only conclusive legal rights to protect the image of EMU since am part of the system and i have exclusive right with METU as the current international director is our graduate. I will also voice loud if i found any person misleading the students in every capacity, so i may not have the legal right to protect CIU but if you provide the link to such agents i can check and see if there some stuffs i can learn about them.

Starbeams: @wip7,sorry for the late reply..i didnt come here to advertise for students or other things...i am just keeping my school name straight.
meanwhile..i dont need to disclose my private identity here...but thank God you confirm victor that we work together.i will like to run check on you...i want to know you..send your number to my official email which is DELETED I want to call you personally and talk to you and know if you are really working in the international center and is Ogechi still working there? and what about Hammed Kazim? how many people do you know there and who are you working with right now? i will even call the registrar to call you and confirm my identity for you.

@justwise....dont worry..everything is fine..please just keep the good work and we will eradicate all fraudulent people off this forum. just make wip7 to send me his number and i want to confirm his identity too.
Thank you guys
First, for trying to claim STARLINK as your agency tells me alot. STARLINK belongs to our agent from IRAN and not an individual but a group.

Secondly, working with Victor does not translate to us that you are LEGAL EMU agent and pls do not claim to be one.

I did not confirm you work together with victor, i only informed you that Victor is our agent and anybody can claim that he works with any agent and mind you Victor is not saint (am not saying he is fraud). if victor want to advertise let him do so and not you flying around saying you work with victor.

Third, according to the contract we signed with all our agents now, we are closely monitoring any illicit or attrocities emanated from them and we shall cancle any agent that the students laid complaints on. We have suffered in the past and recently on some of the contracted agents and non-contracted agent like you by duping intending students and we have scheme on ground now to take LEGAL ACTION on such agent.

You wont be able to run your check on me cos you wont have my number and am not after you but am so much concern about the students, i hate it so much if they are duped or misled. You dont need to know who i work for or where i work. You are not EMU LEGAL agent is that so simple. Kindly focus on CIU and if there is anyway you claim lies or trying to mislead the students on CIU issues, TRNC in general or South Cyprus....i will so tackle you cos i have a clear knowledge and understanding of all these. Pls stop elongating this thread or the other thread just advise student or guide as much you can do on CIU.

justwise: wip7 will reply you as soon as he logs on, he will run the check, after then i will make my comment.
i replied already, Starbeam is not legal agent of EMU after scanning from 2005-2009 and even up to date, we dont have such agency. I found Starlink and he claimed to be starlink but i posed a question about his/her nationality and gender and which year he/she was contracted under starlink? but am yet to get that...then i will reply to tell you if he/she is starlink. Just some tips: Starlink owner is not from AFRICA.
TravelRe: About To Fly To North Cyprus by wip7: 6:30am On May 07, 2013
Starbeams: @wip 7, i am Starlink, but i use starbeams in CIU because i cant use the same agent name in CIU because of the competition of the schools.
It was Ahmed Kazeem that did my admission from Nigeria to EMU in those days. Anyway,i have an office in Abuja and i tell every student that comes to me the real truth and give them 2 weeks to go and think about it....because i always tell them that work is not easy to get like that on the island and many other things i cant say on here.....and i told them that when i was there,i did not work...i was sponsored by my parents and everything went fine..although i saw some friends working and trying to pay their school fees but i didnt work. They should just focus on studying and i assure them that EMU is a world ranking university..its a recognized institution in the world and they have the best equipment and knowledge to produce the best graduate in the world!
I didnt come here before to advertised for students..i just have to comment yesterday when i saw someone was trying to scare people off the island..and i have to tell everybody on this forum that Cyprus is good....and its good for people who are willing to study and you will get the best education from the school. Its not too good for hustlers, but some hustlers came and still got what they want with their strong determination

Thank You and God bless
Are you Nigerian? woman or man? so i will tell you if you are starlink or not? answer this question.
TravelRe: About To Fly To North Cyprus by wip7: 5:13am On May 07, 2013
Starbeams: @wip 7, Thanks for asking this. I'm Earlyjay. Earlyjay is my personal profile and Starbeams if my official Profile. I was formally an Official Agent of EMU till 2009 when i graduated from EMU. i work with Ahmed Kazeem and Victor Olaniyan that lives in DAU 3 to process my student admission and send them over to EMU and i still comes to Famagusta every summer for holiday...But i am still an official agent to Cyprus International University..because i left there 2011 after finishing my masters degree. My agency name in CIU is Starbeams and my turkcell number is 05338372953 registered with my agency name.
Send em your email or phone number..lets communicate..i know you may know me personally...if you are a student of EMU...

@justwise..thanks for the good work..God bless you and i am willing to help and assist to remove fraudulent people from this forum...

Thanks Brother..
Thanks, its good to be a reputable agent and non-fradulent one. I think you will be a good agent. Unfortunately we do not have agency called Starbeams at EMU. I also scanned through our agent list from 2005-2009, starbeam was not there at EMU, i found starlink though. If you work with Victor as you claimed, thats good Victor is our agent under VICTOROIUS agency name but Starbeam is not our agent. I dont know about CIU agency and you may represent them as you stated but starbeam is not legal EMU agent.

Anyway, we are trying to redeem our lost image in Nigeria but the so called agents, many have sent students to hell, duped them and decorated lies for them just to get their admission processing fees. The struggle we have here is that, tell them really about the quality of the university they want to go, let them search online and be sure they want to study there, do not force or convince them. Let them be aware that abroad is not bed of rosses as most agents painted it, let them be sure to have standby sponsor and never aimed at working and paying fees. The work maybe available as most complain no job but many still find some jobs but that is not yardstick to guarantee any student or parent there are jobs. If you must charge for your service kindly let them know what your services coverred and it will be suicidal to charge above 100-200usd for processing of admission since is free at EMU and straight foward. Wish you luck in your agency business!

NO. we have list of our rep on the university website. Many has turned recruitment to FRAUD and the lazy students are feeding them with their hard earned money. We have made admission process easy and straightfoward, i wonder why the students are dashing them their money.

Fidelxx: @wip7 Hello. I am a student of Near East University. I have ALL my documents intact and my visa interview is for the 6th of may 2013 and by the grace of God, I'll be in TRNC by the 9th of may 2013. Please I need to know if there is anything I should know (tips & tricks) wink before going for the interview something like a checklist to ensure a visa grant because I know it's not only the documents that matter but the interview too. Every bit of advice would be appreciated. I am very tensed and nervous because I have been refused ukranian visa twice so I can't imagine going through that again. Thanx as I expect your soonest reply
Hallo,

There are no major or minor tricks to the TV for TRNC, i will only tip you a bit: Ensure your age tallies in all the documents you have presented for admission and that you will submit during your visa application. If you do have gap in between your education, kindly supply a well written reason and support with documents for the gap. Go through the Turkish embassy website and pack all the listed documents as stated on the site. Ensure you email your university to send your details to the embassy bf you go in for the interview.....Then answer the questions like a prospective student. Daz all! wish you goodluck.

tdade: Mr Wip, you haven't answered my question. Asked a few days ago.
Kindly get the printout of the result that shows no age with your Intl passport. The most important thing is that kindly ensure your parents are ready financially to send you abroad. Each time i get admission for students at METU directly the university looses the application processing fees since i get it done free and at the end if the student does not come am made to pay the fee. SO be sure your sponsor has the finance so that i wont get you admitted and you later say you are not ready. NO job, your sponsor must be ready to pay for 4years and one year is 7500usd excluding scholarship, so tell your sponsor before you start.

chemashie: @wip7, which schools will you recommend for PhD in chemistry in the north cyprus with funding or nun-funded programme? I need your sincere response to this.
Depends on area of chemistry you wish to specialize on. EMU is good, state sponsored university, good reputation and have substantial students grouped into polymer, analytical and organic sections and have UV/VIS spec, FTIR, THIN FILM machineries, SOLAR CELL equipments and planing on acquiring TGA and SEM machines but most of these other analysis for SEM, XRD and TGA are sent to Turkey and paid by the university.

CIU is private, do not really offer PhD in chemistry but have related program in environmental chem and they do posses vital equipments like AAS, SEM, TGA, XRD machineries. I will advise you search the university website and check what you want. You have to ensure your area of specialization are offered by any uni you will like to go. All PhD, you have to fund it yourself and will cost you almost 10,000USD at EMU excluding accommodation and no scholarship.

Keneking: Hi Wip: you are a rare breed!

I am keen on cyprus - uni of nicosia. My issues are that I am married with 2 kids, need to start a PhD in media and communication in that school and a bit confused with the following:

1. What kind of visa is required for self and family?
2. How much is the tution, the school site is stating that I need to deposit approx $1,000 among other requirement.
3. Is the school in North or South Cyprus.
4. Is self sponsoring allowed.
5. What is a typical rent for family size?
6. I plan to commence spring 2014 can admission processing begin now?
7. How much cash do i definitely need post admission at least for feeding monthly.
8. Are there possibilities for work within the first few months.
9. Look forward to your response.

God Bless Sir.
Good day sir,

Thanks for your word.

1. You will only be given student visa that will last you for few days at Cyprus consulate and after registration at the university, you will be given residence permit (Pink Slip as it is called in Cyprus). You family members may apply for visit visa and requirement for staying with you as regarding their residence will be based on the fact that, you can proof that you have the financial means to support and accommodate them.

NOTE: You may not be able to go immediately with your family if you cant proof that you have required amount in your personal bank to take care of them. Also i may advise you go first and see things yourself before you invite them.

2. The tuition is 9000euros for 3 years PhD studies (3000euros per year), if you cant finish your program in 3yrs, you will be required to pay 1500euro each additional year, this fee is excluding accommodation and other charges (approx 1000euro for other charges.

You got it wrong sir: As soon as you obtain your admission, YOU MUST DEPOSIT ATLEAST 3200EURO into the university bank account, after then the university will process your visa details with their migration department and ask you to apply for your visa at their embassy or consulate. Without payment of 3200euro, you cant apply for visa. According to Cyprus immigration policy for intl student, you must also have CASH ATLEAST 2000EURO with you upon arrival to take care of your immediate need if not you will be returned back to your country at point of arrival.

3. South Cyprus

4. Yes, you can sponsor yourself

5. For normal single student in university administered dormitories, rent per student ranges 1800-2200euros for 10 months. As a family man, you may require to obtain 2 bedrooms flat within the street or near the university, which range 300-750euros per month (most are semi or fully furnished.

6. You may have to wait till August to start your admission processing for Spring 2014, or contact the university if they allow to start now but normally the university just had application extension for their summer recruitment and FALL is yet to start for 2013.

7. 200-350euros will be fine for a single gentleman, with family member inclusive you may have to add 100-200euro so that you can feed them well. But sometimes you might even live below this figure if accommodation is already settled and other bills.

8. NO, students are eligible to work legally 6 months after entering the country and only 20hrs/week are allowed for intl students. Pls beware that south Cyprus Job is quite scarce now and job maybe highly difficult due to economic imbroglio facing south Cyprus. So i advise you have full finance for your studies and family during your stay.

9. I hope this helps!!!!

Also, if after my first year, I get outstanding grades and a good cgpa of say 3.82, does the tuition waiver increase? Sorry for all the questions sir. Just need to get my facts right before presenting it to my parents. Thanks in advance sir.
Yea i can process the admission for you, normally METU charges application fees as written on their website but i will get it done for you free tru the university registrar. So getting the admission will be FREE for you. Yes possibly you waiver can increase based on your result. After admission you will need to be ready to pay 4133USD as your tuition and others to METU bank account.

Your total point from the related subjects is 20 from the results you posted, therefore you will be admitted with 25% waiver, which means you will be required to pay 4133usd each semester(inclusive of accomodation, health insurance and tuition).
