The Kurds became armed due to the civil war in Iraq, they had to defend themselves against ISIS. They are partners with the US in the fight against ISIS and helped liberate numerous Iraqi towns from ISIS. They are well armed by the US. There is no comparism whatsoever with Biafra.

The Kurds of Iraq are voting in a non binding referendum on the 25th September, all major western nations oppose the referendum except Israel. This is ironic since according to IPOB, the rights to self determination is enshrined in the UN charter. The Kurds have been fighting for independence since the first world war.

1. Can a civilian elected leader send the military into a peaceful area when properties and life and not under threat?
2. Can an elected president send his military against his own people without consulting the legislature and or the judiciary?
3. Can the military summarily execute people without due process like charging the so called offenders to court?

I am neither for or against secession but there is grave danger for this nascent democrazy if the judiciary and legislative arms of government do not start the process of impeachment of Buhari

In the video the army initially was not even close to Kanu's house, they were blaring siren in the adjoining street and the IPOB youth started congregating to attack them. In the ensuing fracas one member was shot in the leg, but the army then left. The funniest thing was that the guy who was commenting went from "one of our security guys was shot in the leg" to "Many people has been Killed and others injured" within a space of 5 minutes, while showing only the injured man.
