Christianity EtcRe: "I Have Never Earned Money From My Book Proceeds" - Bishop Oyedepo by wirinet(m):
bezimo:
He was talking from Malachi 3...and emphasising the fact that from scriptures in Mal 3 open heaven is not possible for a non-tither.so there is nothing he said that is not backed by scriptures.
Malachi was not referring to ordinary people, it was warning, advice and admonitions for Priests . The priests were teaching the people false doctrines and eating the tithes paid by the people, so God was warning them to desist from such acts or face the consequences.

Here is Malachi 2:1

2:1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you .

2:2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
Another confirmation that the messages are for priests;

Malachi 2:4 And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you , that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
See here that the priests were preaching wrong doctrines;

Malachi 2:7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

2:8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
The bolded sound familiar? Nigerian pastors have become emergency Levis.

See the priests were robbing the temple and the nation by chopping tithes;

Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

3:9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
And they were preaching wrong and wicked doctrines;

Malachi 3:13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?

3:14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?

3:15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

You would be amazed at how much people financially bless pastors which is biblical Gal6:6
Secondly, do you know that after the Forbes report he said 1) that is an insult 2) I don't see myself laying that much in my account.

No 1 went viral but no 2 didn't go viral because the enemies of the Church love controversies rather than clarity. We later discovered Forbes had valued Covenant to come up with the ridiculous 150million USD tag(mind you Covenant infrastructure is worth more than 250 million USD). Covenant is registered as owned by WMA not Oyedepo hence cannot make up Oyedepo wealth.

I am not doubting that Oyedepo is wealthy but don't be too sure you know how much he truly owns.
You people talk so much thrash. What do you mean by Covenant is registered as owned by WMA not Oyedepo hence cannot make up Oyedepo wealth? Who are the owners of WMD? It is like saying because Google is registered under Alphabet Inc., the value of Google cannot make up Larry Page and Sergey Brin's wealth.

So if Oyedepo does not earn money from his book,
He does not earn money from his universities,
He does not earn money from tithes,

How is he able to afford to buy 4 jets and maintain them?

And how do you know that no one has stopped paying tithes as a result of recent controversies on tithes? Do you expect everyone to go on radio or TV or even social media and announce " I have stopped paying tithes"?
The debate would certainly make some people to think deeper into the salvation by tithe doctrine being promoted by Nigerian pastors.

No body can force you from giving your money to anyone you wish, but promoting tithes as a way to salvation and the way to wealth and success is antithetical to societal development. It will create mass poverty and despondency. The only way to socio economic development is education, hard work and good value system.

The bible says " bring all ye tithes into my store-house, that there may be meat in my house"

So if the store house is not the church, pls enlighten me.. And tell me how what abiara said is in variance to what the bible said.

Thanks
And store house was never a church. A store house is where food is stored.

Malachi was instructing the priests to bring the tithes (of food and other agricultural produce) into the store in order to feed the levis, the widows, the poor and the nation.

Daddy Freeze is talking because he is not using his degree to push wheelbarrow. If that was the case, he would say amen to that prayer even before Adeboye finished.
If you using your degree to push wheelbarrow, then the degree and the education you received is not worth the paper it is written on. A degree and education in general should make you proficient in your field of study. A graduate that sees value in wheel barrow pushing should not be the same as a mallam pushing wheel barrow. A graduate should have the skills to make wheel barrow differently, maybe a motorized and remote controlled wheel barrow, some can even conceive flying drone like wheel barrows.

I have a friend that went into carpentry after graduating with an M.SC degree i architecture. The Father was furious, saying he did not spend all that money on him to become a carpenter, but today, the guy has the biggest furniture factory in Nigeria. He is worth billions.

You guys have to quit the idea of obtaining a degree in order to seek for white collar jobs, there are no white collar or even blue collar jobs out there, you have use your education to create jobs for yourself and others.

Although I supported Buhari against Jonathan, mainly because of his tolerance and promotion of corruption and Boko haram holding Nigeria's territory, this statement is a lie;

So, multiply 2.1 million by $100, that is what Nigeria was getting from 1999 to 2014
Nigeria did not get anything close to $100 from 1999 to 2014. During OBJ's regime oil never went above $40 per barrel. In 1999 when he came in crude was hovering around $20.

Even when crude rose to $100, Nigeria did not earn anything close to $100. Remember you will have have to deduct cost of production which is around $25 per barrel, then the balance will have to be shared between the FG and the IOCs in a ratio of 60:40.
From crude price of $100, the FG would only receive about half of the amount.
It is impractical to expect the FG to pocket the whole $100 for sale of crude.

I think you might have wasted your money. Getting paper qualification nowadays count for little in Nigeria and indeed for the rest of the world. Enterprenuership is the new world order and the acquisition of skills and capital is the only key to open opportunities. When people like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Evan Spiegel (snapchat guy) dropped out of university to become enterprenuers, you are wasting money to acquire a PhD in order to become an employee ( probably to a person less certificated than you).

If the Phd was to acquire a skill that would make you an enterprenuer, it would have been logical, but getting a PhD and displaying it from office to office in search of a job is not very wise. There are lots of PhD holders applying for jobs as truck driver at Dangote.

Any body with some skill, motivation and entrepreneurship spirit can invest N4.8 million in IT, service, agricultural and even small scale manufacturing sector and turn the money around within 2 years.

Now, with your PhD, except you are lucky to get employed in the oil sector, the telecoms sector or maybe you get a political appointment, it will take many years to recover your N4.8 million.

Let me use zimbabwe as an example of the folly on relying on paper qualification to achieve success in career.

Zimbabwe has one of the highest literacy levels in Africa, some put it at over 90%, compared with nigeria at 50%.

Zimbabwe has an excruciating graduat unemployment problem. The universities are churning out thousands of graduates yearly with no hope of employment. Graduates held a protest last year to highlight the extent of the problem.

According to statistics from Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, approximately 30,000 students graduate annually from the country’s institutions of higher learning. Officially, the country’s unemployment rate is 10.7 %. In truth, however, some 80 % of the adult population of this country of 13 million people has no formal employment.

Vote are presonance issues, you cannot impose your choice on another person, much less another region. If that is the way it works in the SE, it does not work that way in other parts of the country, especially the SS. Those that will vote Atiku will vote Atiku and those that likes another candidate will vote another candidate.
You do not expect everybody in a region to vote one candidate.

running away from America. I applied, but wasn’t issued a visa. However, they did not decline me categorically either. They’ve only said my application is going through administrative process. This is not peculiar to me. For about 15 years, Buhari could not enter America on account of religious considerations. The current Indian Prime Minister, Modi, suffered the same fate for years. Today, he is being treated to red carpet treatment in America.. I fly to different parts of the world, including Europe, if America wanted me, it would be so easy for them to reach out to their allies…”

We know that most Buhari supporters cannot read and write but try your best and get literate people read these things and interpret to you.
How did Atiki know that Buhari could not enter the US if he wanted to? Does he have proof that Buhari applied for entry visa into the US and was denied?

I think the US embassy need to clear this controversy.

luvinhubby:
Why should EFCC seek to confiscate a whole building of multiple flats because a thief hid some money in one out of the numerous flats there?

If there is a case of financial fraud against the proceeds used to build the entire house or the source of funds that Chobe ventures used to buy up the mortgage loan from. Union bank, then efcc can Institute a court case based on that and seek to confiscate based on that.
The EFCC did not confiscate the whole building or multiple flats, it seized the flat that Mrs and Mrs Oke bought with proceeds of crime. The person that should be challenging the forfeiture should be Mr and Mrs Oke. The Bank can complain if the sale of the flat was not completed and Mrs oke had not fully paid for the flat.

Does the Bank want to collected the flat back after it has sold the property?

While arguing the application for the flat’s forfeiture, EFCC’s lawyer said Mrs Oke made cash payment of $1,658,000 in tranches of $700,000, $650,000 and $353,700, for the flat’s purchase between August 25 and September 3, 2015.
If the bank wants the flat back, they should simply return the $1,658,000 it received from Mrs oke to the EFCC.
RomanceRe: 'Rape & Beg': Elnathan John Addresses Sexual Consent by wirinet(m): 9:20pm On Nov 30, 2017
Laveda:
Following the ongoing rape saga, Nigerian author Elnathan John has come out to address the issue of sexual consent using this analogy, read below.

"Seeing some disturbing tweets on my TL. Rape doesn't have to be violent. Rape can happen AFTER one has given consent for an act of intimacy & not another (for e.g.: I only want to cuddle. I don't want to have sex. Or, I don't want anal. Or, I just want to kiss. No penetration.)

Also, "what were you doing in X's bedroom" is a stupid, unhelpful reaction to "X raped me".
You can be raped by your lover, your spouse, your friend, your sibling, your relative.

How to know when the next step will be rape (just a few examples):
1. Someone has said any of the following:
-stop
-no
-not now
-I don't like it
-it hurts
-I want to leave

2. Someone is clearly refusing to participate in the activity
3. Someone pushes you away

Things that are totally IRRELEVANT in wondering if it is rape or not:
-They allowed be have sex with them before
-They allowed me to touch them just now
-They spent the night at my house
-They slept in the same bed as me
-They wore revealing clothing
-They didn't scream or fight

Imagine this conversation with a waiter:
Waiter: Glad you chose this restaurant, would you like our Tiramisu?
You: No I am happy with my meal thanks
W: I mean, you came to our restaurant. Why come if you don't want Tiramisu?
You: I am fine really.
W: Ok, just the tip of the spoon

You: *baffled as waiter pushes teaspoon with Tiramisu into your mouth*
W: See I told you you'd love our Tiramisu
You: You just forced me to eat your Tiramisu
W: Nah. You walked in here. If you hated it, why didn't you scream? Look at your belt, unfastened, shows you wanted more.

Afterward...
You: *speaks to a policeman about incident*
P: What were you doing when the waiter was pushing the teaspoon into your mouth
You: I was stunned.
P: And you just sat there? Didn't scream or anything?
You: Huh?
P: Why were you there even? Thought you had a kitchen.

You: I like the restaurant. I wanted to eat out.
P: So why are you complaining about the Tiramisu
You: I didn't go there for Tiramisu. I already had my meal. Waiter forced it on me.
P: So you ate their meal but now complain about the Tiramisu. Is it that it tasted bad?

http://orjisblog.com.ng/2017/11/30/rape-beg-nigerian-author-elnathan-john-addreses-sexual-consent-using-this-analogy/?
Most people here have no idea of what constitutes rape. Rape is penetration of the genital or anus without the consent of the victim, while touching of other sensitive areas without consent, but without penetration constitutes sex abuse or molestation.

You example of withdrawing consent after consenting to penetration would not hold in any court in the world. One you give consent to penetration by a Dick, a tongue or a finger, you cannot claim you changed your mind and then allege rape. It is even more absurd to claim that you can withdraw consent in the middle of actual sex, maybe just before the guy reaches climax. If the guy holds you down forcefully to erupt under that circumstance, that can never constitute legal rape.

Men are not robots to be switched on and off at random, men are animals complete with all the animalistic instincts and behaviours. If a woman does not want any sexual relation with a man then do not taunt, blackmail and humiliate him.

BlowBack:
The Europeans never used religion to justify the enslavement of Africans rather they justified the enslavement of millions of Africans citing contemporary scientific views mainly drawn from the Darwin evolutionary theory.

It was Christian values that put an end to the European slave trade.

And it is very important that we revist Islam when discussing the latest Libyan slave auctions. Because it is only Muslims that have so far engaged in this dastardly act.

From Shekau boasting of selling abducted Christian school girls in slave markets to the Islamic State auctioning of captured Christian, Yazidi and Shia women to the existing slave markets in Mauritania.

Muslims have no problem against slavery a their quaran justifies capturing and selling off of Kafirs.
You people rewrite history to suit your lies and dogma. Christianity was almost as bad as Islam in the slave trade.

Darwins evolutionary theory that was published in 1859 was responsible for slavery of black Africans that started in 1619 and abolished in 1833. Now clap for yourself, you are an excellent defender of the faith.

Please also explain how Darwin's evolutionary theory was responsible for exodus Exodus 21:20-21
Exodus 21:20-21
20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.
And exodus20:7-9

Exodus 7-9
7And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. 8If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her. 9And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters
Throughout the slavery period no Christian pope, Bishop or priest condemned slavery, they collaborated with the slave merchants in the slave trade.

Where was the federal government when Fashola was fixing federal roads and making major infrastructural development strides in Lagos? So the federal government has exclusive rights of control over the brains of the Biafrans? Oh so the federal government has the exclusive rights over your ability to mobilize the youths to sanitize the states, curb crime at the community level, build community infrastructure and come up with innovative ideas to move Biafra forward...I laugh grin grin grin !

The Biafrans and the Nizoorians are no different...they have one central trait in common handed down from their forefathers which is: THE DEIFICATION OF SELF INTEREST

You still have not answered my question!

Is there any Igbo man on this planet that will not betray the entire human race for $1 million
I would like to join your conversation with hiddenshadow and observant. I agree with you that selfishness, self aggrandisement and greed is the bane of the black man and the Igbos exhibit the worst examples of these traits.

The igbos look for who to blame for their failures and blame everybody else and everything else but themselves. If the igbos possess inate greatness in them as propagated by hiddenshadow and observant, why didn't the igbos make great civilizations in the past? Why didn't the igbos make technological, artistic social or literary contributions to the world before the advent of the Europeans?
Biafra would have been a political disaster. why? Because no Igbo man is ready to subsume his interest for another. Ojukwu would never have sacrificed his political ambitions for any other, he would have been the mugabe of Biafra. Same with the present agitations for Biafra, it was all about Kanu, and Kanu would never sacrifice his political ambitions for the Biafrans goal.

If Biafra has potential to be great, we would have seen evidence of that from the way the present Biafra (Igbo states) are run, from state levels to local government levels. The Igbo states and local governments exhibit the same levels of greed, self interest and wickedness as other states. The total money the five Igbo states receive from the federal government ( both state and local government allocations ) is enough to run a country successfully. I am sure many countrystudents like Gabon, Benin Republic, Togo, Chad, etc do not receive the kinds of money these state receive and yet they are able to run the countries and build infrastructures.

Only a bad workman quarrels with his tools, the Igbo states governors can make use of the Nigerian laws to build critical infrastructures. Nothing stops the governments from applying for licences and investing in the mineral and oil resources sector either alone or with foreign partners if they are interested. Nothing stops the state governments from building bridges and roads and tolling it to recuperate their investments. Nothing stops the state governments from building refineries, power stations or any other critical infrastructure if there are ready to selfishnessly work for the betterment of their people.

The Ebola virus was introduced into Nigeria on 20 July 2014 when an infected Liberian man arrived by aeroplane into Lagos, Africa's most populous city. The man, who died in hospital 5 days later, set off a chain of transmission that infected a total of 19 people, of whom 7 died.

According to WHO recommendations, the end of an Ebola virus disease outbreak in a country can be declared once 42 days have passed and no new cases have been detected. The 42 days represents twice the maximum incubation period for Ebola (21 days). This 42-day period starts from the last day that any person in the country had contact with a confirmed or probable Ebola case.

Today, 20 October, Nigeria reached that 42-day mark and is now considered free of Ebola transmission.

Ebola, Lassa fever and other fast killing viruses vaccination was not rejected by the people thus, individuals were vaccinated and individuals immune system used the vaccine to form resistance towards the virus. In addition, till this very day, albeit ebola, lassa fever, swine flu, etc is not as reported as it was in the past but there are still communities world wide where this virus is still a problem as we speak. A perfect example wasn't lassa fever reported a current problem in your northern nigeria few years ago?

Now let's focus on monkey pox which ironically enough was a "growing" problem in SS and SE prior to the refusal of vaccination. Some stated that the virus became rapid after the first vaccination exercise in bayelsa by your human right abuse military but since it's here say, let omit that. Ironically, after the people refused to take the vaccine from your military known for human right abuse, it didn't even take a year, talkless 5 months and the so called "growing problem." stopped despite the people in question didn't change anything.

Yeah either people in SS or SE has a really fast adapting immune system or it's complete B.S.

Viruses eventually die out naturally, especially one that kills the host too fast or the host develops resistance to the virus or learn to live with the virus.

HIV, hepatitis virus and similar viruses are able to survive longer by making sure the host survive for a very long time giving the host time to spread the virus.

Viruses like Ebola, Lassa fever and other fast killing virus do not last long. They kill large population of people ( if not well contained) and simply burn out, same as the bubonic plague that wiped out one third the population of Europe.

This comment I am quoting is what happens when critical thinking is not made mandatory in an educational system.

The thread is about monkey pox but the person I quoted made it about all POXes. There is a drug for most poxes and it is called "Acyclovir". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aciclovir

You shouldn't be so arrogant with your ignorance.
I would not have bothered arguing with you if not that I feel obligated to stop spreading ignorance, especially among the youths.

I say again there are no cure for any pox or other viral diseases. Even common influenza virus (common cold) has no known cure. The body eventually eliminate the virus from the body.

The keyword in virus management is treatment treatment does not equate to cure. HIV can be treated, it cannot be cured.

Read this;

Treatment for Smallpox

There is no cure for the smallpox virus. As a result of worldwide, repeated vaccination programs, the variola virus (smallpox) has been completely eradicated.

You are willfully ignorant. The drug for pox is "vaccination".
Please stop advertising your ignorance, viral diseases have no cure, it either kills you, your body natural defences fights it off or you live with it in a latent form for the rest of your life.

Vaccination is used as a preventive measure and not a cure. Vaccination is simply the priming of the body with dead or deactivated pieces of the virus so the body can learn to fight the real virus if it enters the body.

There is no vaccination for monkey pox, but the small pox vaccination is speculated to help prevent monkey pox since the viruses are similar.
RomanceRe: Is It Right For A Man To Kiss His Daughter For Any Reason ? by wirinet(m): 7:12am On Nov 28, 2017
Depends on culture and tradition. We black Africans are not into kissing and view kissing only in relationship to sex and romance, but Europeans see kissing as a form of greeting or an expression of affection. Kissing on both cheeks is courtesy when greeting and kissing on the fore head is like saying goodnight or goodbye.

Some patents kiss their children on the forehead before they go to bed.

If you think women are not smart (infact, smarter!), then you are fooling yourselves.
The average "female" is way smarter (or cunning, if we want to put it exactly as it is) than the average "Male" and it has been like that since the day of Adam and Eve.
If a man is too difficult to conquer, hsitory is replete with examples that show what to do is to send a "woman" to do the tricky job....and he will fall.
From Samson, King David, King Solomon, even our own strong man "Abacha", Dele Giwa, Bill Clinton and th elist goes on forever.
Women like Men to fool themselves, to think they are smarter or think women are weaker.

Now, to this story:
The QUESTIONS all these "No-means-No" Bridgage have refused to answer are:
1.) What and where did she tell her Boyfriend she was going?
Did she lie or tell him the truth? if she lied, then this shows PRIOR INTENT on her part, to have a sexcapde, and that cant be rape.

2.) When she got free Uber, free Pizza, free Ice cream, free Wifi, free Night accomodation, e.t.c, what was she hoping to give in-return, for all these freebies she was downloading from a 'random guy'? or is it her Greed that overtook her sense of reasoning? Why would a random guy give you all these freebies for nothing, when he is not a Mumu Version of the fabled Father Christmas? Evem father Xmas has stopped giving free gift, you need to buy a ticket to enter the venue. undecided undecided

3.) Why did she remove her Jeans trousers, knowing that the Jeans alone is strong enough to discourage any sexual advances as it will take a lot of violence to remove it by force. Was that actually not a "green light and a YES" to the guy that she wants sex?
Seriously, what is going on in her head, that she decides 'l wont have sex with this random guy but l will expose my unclothedness to him, in his den, all night, on his bed'? How can any sane person expect that one, muted "No" will negate all these YES-actions, when sex is already in the air?

4.) Why did cuddle with the random guy? Why would any sane woman cuddle a guy on his bed (his theatre of phucking!), nakedly with her breast shooking the guys chest and her pubic hair probably rubbing on the guys pr!eek? What was her intentions, at that point? To rape the guy, l will conlcude. How can you seduce a guy to this point, and then turn around to claim rape? This is another form of "unspoken" consent, from the lady

5.) To further prove that she really wanted to rape the guy (Yes, she was the one who raped the guy! )she opened her legs willingly!
Anyone who has done MouthAction on a woman knows the way they 'drag you head and face down and hard against the kitten, like they want to bury it inside completely.
So, after blinding the guy with kitten odour and dripping kitten juice all over his face, she stil did not shout or struggle of any kind. She was too busy moaning otherwise, we all know that it is very easy for a woman in that situation (if it were unwanted sex) to just strangle the guy's head, with her THIGHS, which is the strongest part in a woman's body.
I put it to all of us that you cannot give a woman MouthAction, unless she willing opens her legs wide for you and allow you.
Again, this also shows consent, unspoken consent, on her part.

6.) After all the above, she then opened her legs, allowed herself to be mounted like a Horse (or she was probably the one ontop, riding the poor guy like an Okada man on a full bottle of one of those alcoholic liquids they sell at motor garages grin ). She thrashed and moan and then when all is said and done, she started feeling remorse and thinks accusing the Nigga of rape will make her a celebrity!

Look, in the last one year, a lot of good men, very successful men have been destroyed by this newly found Weapon of Men's Destruction (WMD) called rape.
Women have sensed that the world has no tolerance for rapist (and that is okay!) and thus, have decided it is a valid weapon to be used against men, to ruin them and destroy their carreers
.
It even went as far as some western countries even permitting a wife, who was legally married to a husband, who lives and sleeps on the same bed with her husband, under the same roof, to allege "Rape" by the husband, by claiming she did not say YES!
Just imagine the "Power of Control" women want to exercise over Men! shocked shocked

"Shouting Rape" has now become a Weapon, in the hands of women and Men must be wise to their antics.

Mind you, there are few depraved men who actually rape women, and there are also some depraved women who also rape Men and Boys but with the way things are going and women "weaponising rape" and Oloshos using rape as a weapon, they are doing a disservice to the ability of the 'good people' to punish such true rapists.

Stories like this are what "women" use to "test the waters" and see how far they can push the effort to make criminals of men, over something that they both agreed to.

If you dont like the Heat, please STY OUT of the Kitchen.
I have like very few posts on nairaland, and this post deserves more than 100 likes.

The latest fad now is rape or sex abuse
You flirt with a lady, maybe just holding her waist or ass while taking a picture, with wide smiles and giggles. 20 years later probably after you become famous, she comes out to to allege rape or sex abuse.

As you said rape has been weaponized, women can now have sex with men and thereafter be blackmailed with treats of rape or sexual abuse.

Guys, you are now required to ask for permission or is it consent before you fvck, kiss or romance your girlfriend or even your wife, else you will be accused of rape. You need to ask " babe, can I fvck you" can I kiss you" or " can I hold your waist". If she does not answer yes up to three times, and maybe record the yes consent on audio as proof, you might spend time behind bars.

LadyGoddiva:
I cannot even believe the comments I’m reading here. Like are you fuckiñg shitting me?? Even from fellow ladies too?
Things is, Nigerians are too close minded and backward thinking. A lot of things can constitute as rape. It’s not only when a random guy abducts you and forcefully has sex with you while you scream and fight back can be considered as rape. The basic thing that defines rape is CONSENT! Whether she was wearing only her panties in the man’s bed, even if she was twerking naked for him, as long as she said NO, then he had no right to try and perform any sexual activities on her.
And since when did agreeing to cuddle him automatically imply consent to have sex with him? He even went on to give her orals and strip her. Thing is, even if she may not have fought back, bottom line is, she didn’t want sex to happen. And he went on and did what he wanted anyway. That’s a more subtle kind of rape.
Nigerians really need reonrientation of their mindset when it comes to the issue of rape. I’m seeing a lot of bs comments like “why would she go to a guy’s house when it’s not her boyfriend” and “why would she wear only shorts in his bed and why would she sleep on the Same bed with him?” The thing is, irrespective of the circumstance surrounding the story, she didn’t give her consent and the man had sex with her against her wish. It wasn’t consensual sex thus, it can be classified as rape. Too bad she’s just speaking up now.
I also do not believe the comment I am reading from you, this is an insult to real rape victims.

There is nothing like rape in the story as narrated
Consent as related to sex is not only a verbal. yes, in most sexual encounters a verbal consent is not usually given or expected. Consent is usually a series of long drawn out process or ritual. Sometimes a verbal no could actually mean consent.

I have had lots of experiences in my hey days and it took me a long time to decipher the difference between real consent and no consent at all. I remember one of such horrible experience where a lady came all the way from Badagry to spend the night with me. That time I was still living in my parents house. After going to the beach in the afternoon and eatery in the evening, I took her to a lodge in a guest house for the night.
She showered and slipped into her night gown and I into my boxers. One would have thought that I have all the consent in the world, but alas, she refused me to even touch her. I tried begging her, she refuse. I then decided to use force. After one hour of gidigbo (wrestling), she allowed me kiss her, press and suck her breast, but she would not let me touch her pussycat. It took a further 2 hours to be able to forcefully reach the pussycat. By that time I was physically and mentally exhausted, so much so that my longjohn went to sleep. Nothing I did after that woke Mr. longjohn. She did handjob, blow.job and every other job, Mr longjohn refused to wake. O boy, that was how I slept off.

When I woke up early next morning, had to check out and discharge her as I had to go home and prepare for work. Later, this same stupid girl would go on and tell my cousin (who introduced us) us that I am okobo (meaning my longjohn does not work). I got so annoyed that I never spoke to her again.

I have had 2 similar experiences similar to this one. The ladies say that if they open their legs at my first asking, I would view them as cheap. huh
So much for consent.

Back to this story. The lady in question agreed to spend the night in the guy's house, she came with her sleeping cloths, she took a shower, she slept on the same bed with the guy, she continued sleeping on the same bed after the guy made the first attempt, the allowed the guy penetrate her pussycat with his tongue, and then finally penetrate with his longjohn. All the while she did not scream or shout for help and there was no report of violence or threat. Then you are here screaming rape or consent.

That use less thing should have been disqualified
There was no way Buhari would have been prosecuted for certificate forgery, without a backlash from his supporters and the military. Some former top military officers were already warning Jonathan to stop disgracing their retired senior officers.

Buhari could not have been prosecuted for certificate forgery because the certificate or should I say statement of result did not originate from him but from Katsina secondary school and the Katsina state government, if anyone is to be charged for certificate forgery, it would be those 2 bodies.

The statements of result issued by the school could not have been as a basis for disqualifying Buhari because until the court declares it fake, it remains authentic.

A judgement disqualifying Buhari would be like the june 12 midnight judgment, it would further erode the integrity of the judiciary and lead the country into another round of crisis. Remember I BBC said he annulled the June 12 elections to save us from the judiciary.
