Hasty generalization and false conclusions: One atheist posted a copied post on your thread, the next day you open a thread that opines every atheist does same here with a whole lot unnecessary epistle to go with such iirelavant argument.

This is rather a silly conclusion.
These theists or should I say Christians are highly irrational. one atheist was caught plagiarising and all atheists on nairaland are guilty of plagiarism. One even opined that because one atheist who died over 100 years ago ( Frederich Nietzsche) had mental health issues, he concluded that atheism causes madness.

The irony is that Christians are the ultimate plagiarists, they present no original ideas, but regurgitate the ideas of others. Most of the arguments presented by Christians here were plagiarized.

Was it atheism that drove friedrich nietzsche into insanity?
What evidence do you have that it was a rejection of the idea of God (the christian one at that), that was responsible for his mental health condition? Besides, i have never read about Friedrich Nietzsche), my interests does not cover his area of specialization, so i do not understand how the health condition of a single historical personality can have a bearing on all other people of similar beliefs or philosophy for all time.

On the contrary, it is religion that has been known to drive people into insanity. It is religion that makes people lose their senses and do all sorts of crazy things. Go to an average mental institution the world over, i am sure that 99% of inmates are theists.

I'm criticizing what most atheists believe. Capish
How did you come about what most atheists believe? Give us reference to your statistics please.

As I said, I'm criticizing the position the vast majority of atheists hold, you included.
Same response as above. Reference please.

Big bang and evolution came first if you believe both happen billions of years ago.
You are being stupid by half. The big bang theory was propounded in 1929 by Edwin Hubble and the Theory of evolution was proposed in 1859 by Charles Darwin. Before these theories nobody knew anything about big bang or evolution.

And where exactly did the bible acknowledge their existence?
Psalm 14:1
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

The bible acknowledges that during the reign of solomon, that there were people that believed that God does not exist, and termed them fools.
To "equate atheism with science" is in fact an insult to science. The goal of science is to find truth, while atheism rejects the truth. This is why atheists lie so much, if man couldn't lie atheists wouldn't exist.
Ignorant and emotional rant. Atheism say show evidence of your God, so it can be analyzed empirically and objectively, the same thing science says. All we get is threats, insults and emotional appeals from you guys.

so atheists are now separating themselves from the foolishness of their theory of evolution and their godless big bang theory. You probably don't believe in abiogenesis anymore. All these theories are pillars of atheism, without them, atheism is entirely based on emotion. With them it's entirely based on foolishness.
Does belief in gods make people brain dead? How many times have people educated you guys that atheism has nothing to do with big bang, evolution theory, abiogenesis and science in general? Although I accept big bang, evolution, science, etc, my mentor Tai Solarin had no clue of all those issues.
The only common factor among atheists is rejection of all Gods presented to them.

Now answer this which came first atheists or big bang, evolution or even science. There were atheist in ancient Greece, your bible even acknowledged the existence of atheists in ancient Palestine. So how can you now equate atheism with science.

Ignorance is a deadly disease. I asked who made Kanu's father King, instead of you to plead ignorance, you went and listed genuine first class kings.

Let me give you some free education;

Ibeku are a clan of the Igbo people of Nigeria. Ibeku is contained in the Umuahia North Local Govt, political division, of Abia state in the eastern part of Nigeria. There are other communities that are around Ibeku. To the south are the clans of Olokoro, Old-Umuahia, Amakama, Ubakala. To the East is Oboro. West are the clans of Umuokpara and Ohuhu. Then North are Uzuakoli and Abiriba. These areas were one time a part of what was called the Bende region in now Abia State.

Ibeku people are a good portion of the igbo [Ibo] speaking people of Nigeria in Igbo language. The associated dialects and origins are explained with this link. Igbo is spoken throughout West Africa in various forms.

Ibeku people have custodians of these traditional values in each seven clans called Egwu Asaa that make up Ibeku Nation. These seven Clans are Osaa, Amaforo, Ndume, Afaraukwu, Emede, Isieke, Afarata. Each has an Eze that is titled accordingly with a name to reflect that clan. Ibeku clan has a Royal Highness with the title Ogurube Ibeku. The Present Ogurube is His Royal Highness.Eze Samuel Iheonu Onuaha. The Ogurube IV of Ibeku. His cabinet is made up of all the Eze from the seven egwu asaas. These individual egwus are autonomous in terms of organization in localities headed by their own Eze.

Although Buhari is an extreme tribalist, i still like the fact that Ipob has been silenced. The only area i dont agree with him is in the use of the army to fight instead of the police.

As for silencing ipob, i am very okay with it. Atleast we have been saved of the noise and confusion that ipob caused. They were already going too far and they rejected any opinion contrary to their own. Thank God they ve been silenced. Next time they should listen to advice and stop behaving like miscreants.
You cannot blame the authorities for using the Army instead of the police. With the way Kanu was boasting ie, I will bring the head of Buhari, If the come to arrest me, i have instructed my people to burn down the zoo, etc, and the inauguration of Biafra Secrete Service and Biafra defense service by Kanu, the government did not know how armed and prepared IPOB was. They were afraid that the police might not be able to handle the situation. If the police or army failed in their attempt to arrest kanu and many officers were killed, it would have been a moral blow to the Nigerian government and a moral booster to IPOB. Remember, when the US government wanted to arrest David Koresh of the Branch Davidians, they broughtin the military and not the regular police, because the police would not have been able to subdue the heavily armed sect.
PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu’s Family Reacts To ‘Recovery Of Weapons’ In IPOB Leader’s Home by wirinet(m): 12:13pm On Oct 15, 2017
Deluded family. No wonder Nnamdi is deluded, it runs in their gene.

Kanu’s family spokesman , Emmanuel Kanu, told newsmen by telephone that if any weapon found within the premises must have been planted by security operatives.
Kanu's family spokesman should have first informed us where his brother (Nnamdi) and their father is. We need to know if they have been killed or abducted by the army or they are in hiding.

“I am telling the international community to prevail on this people. What the Police and other security agencies are doing in my house, my community, in my state and the entire Biafran Land is evil. It is clear that out of desperation, they are trying to cover their tracks and they have failed.
What do you want the international community to do? The international community can not do zilch. The international community has not been able to do anything about Myanmmar's Rohingya people who are being killed and driven from their homeland daily, they have not been able to do anything about the Tibetians, the Catalonians, the Kurds and even in turkey where Erdogan has clamped down on hundreds of thousands of opposition figures. I will not even mention north Korea and Russia.

Your house? I though it was your father's house. It seems the Kanu family boys are unable to leave their father's house. There is no Biafraland anywhere, the South East is under Nigeria and subject to Nigerian laws.

“Nobody can tag IPOB a terrorist organisation. We don’t carry arms and arms never solved any dispute. They should engage IPOB leadership genuinely. We are not violent. We don’t give life and we can’t take one. They have rubbished the name of the country called Nigeria, that’s why we are called Biafrans.
It is not only organizations that openly carry arms that are tagged a terrorist group, any group that promote the use of violence and anarchy to promote political agenda can be termed a terrorist group. The Islamic Brotherhood is tagged a terrorist organization in Egypt even though they don't openly carry arms.

Engage IPOB leadership genuinely? An IPOB leadership that insults and threaten everybody? An IPOB leadership that promised to behead a sitting president? So what is there to engage about?

Kanu further stated, “If Ogbizi was serving in his Cross River State, he wouldn’t have raided the palace of the Obong of Calabar under any guise the way he raids my father’s palace and boasted he would raid it again, this can only happen in Igbo land.
Delusion at its peak. So you are comparing your father who is a local chief to a first class traditional ruler. If a traditional ruler allows his palace to be used to subvert the country's laws, then he opens his palace and himself to disgrace.

Let me school you a bit but before I go on let me tell you about myself. I am a trained accountant who had worked in the 2 different commercial banks. Particularly booking investments and helping to liquidate investments. Something I did for quite a number of notable Nigerian businessmen.

Now when the say investment account, it does not mean theirs a particular account dedicated for such by the bank. An investment account is opened for you when you decide to make an investment and it automatically closes the moment the investment matures and its liquidated. You cannot transfer a single kobo from an investment account. You can only decide to liquidate the investment before the maturity date which is called draw down. Now if you are a private investor or individual, you may decide to liquidate the investment into any account that you provide but for a corporate account, you have to present a resolution if the company's board to be able to liquidate the investment into another company's account.

It now becomes a crime because the report didn't state that there was a letter to that effect.

It becomes a crime because you cannot just transfer N1bn cash into another unrelated company's account let alone liquidate an investment into another unrelated company's account. There has to be an agreement signed by the shareholders of the company to do so and their has to be a very tangible reason for such. If no tangible reason is given it will be interpreted as laundering money for a particular person in the company or the company is trying to avoid tax. Either which is a serious crime in any country.

The fact that Ibe Kachichwu's name is mentioned in the same line as his brother's and Energy resources (the company) maygoes to show that the two of them may have stakes in the company or they may not. If they do, it will make both of them to be liable to litigation when the veil of incorporation is lifted.

And remember the investigation is actually about the minister and everything surrounding him will be touch-lighted to reflect any wrong doing.

Yes it may sound like that but the I am not part of those people cos you've not seen where I mentioned categorically that Ibe kachikwu is directly involved. I only cleared your submission that no crime was committed.

Like I said earlier, it is all politics. The aim was to paint him bad by informing the public that he was under investigation but your submission that no crime is committed is not an excuse cause obviously a crime has been committed unless a meaningful explanation is provided and the explanation may and may not eventually be linked to Ibe Kachikwu.
Lecture learnt and correction taken.

We both agree that it is pure politics. At worst the companies and its stated directors could be guilty of money laundering, but I still insist nothing in the said letter implicated Ibe Kachukwu.

EFCC said they have been instigating this case since September 2015, even before Ibe Kachikwu was appointed minister, Is EFCC telling us that they could not conclude simple financial transactional investigation within 2 years? So what is the purpose of the letter? What do they want the vice president to act on when they have not reached any conclusion in their investigation?

Oga ignorance is written all over you and your sentiment is blinding you from seeing the obvious error in your analogy.

There's a very huge, really huge difference between investment and cash that you are referring to.

Cash can be transferred by anybody to anyone no doubt but liquidated investment cannot unless expressly stated in letter to the financial institution and some explanation has to be provided to EFCC why the Investment was liquidated into another company's account and not the investing companies account.

Why didn't the company wait for the investment to liquidate into its own account and then transfer the cash to the receiving account.

EFCC is empowered to investigate anybody corporate or individual, private or public, as long as they have financial dealing within the jurisdiction or Nigeria and especially when they are relatives of government officials.

Stop wasting time embarrassing yourself here and get proper education on how government works.
Are you sure you read the report or you just too much in a hurry to crucify Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, that you are blind to reason.

What do you mean by there is a difference between investment and cash? We are not talking about physical investment, we are talking about investment account . It is a bank account. I have been doing business in this country for over 20 years, and i have numerous types of accounts, believe me there is little difference on how people and banks themselves treat the different accounts. Sometimes people transfer cash into my corporate account, sometimes from abroad for nothing to do with my business. Sometimes, people transfer money for business purposes into my saving account. Because the account is termed "investment Account" does not mean money for all sorts of issues cannot be transferred to or from that account. If you say it is unprofessional, i agree, you can even say it is unethical, i sill agree, but to term it a crime is preposterous.

Now, now where was Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu mentioned in the whole letter, except where it says "upon receipt of additional intelligence relating to duchess energy ltd, Emmanuel Kachikwu and Dumebi Katchikwu (i wonder what that means), it was talking mainly about Dimebi Kachikwu and one Olatimbo (i suspect Olabimbo) Ayinde. Now, if the alleged crimes were committed by these duo, why not arrest them and take them to court, what concerns Ibe Kachikwu, or is Ibe Kachikwu going to be responsible for all crimes committed by any one named Kachikwu.

This sound like people looking for anything to nail kachikwu, for raising questions on the allege monumental fraud going on at the NNPC. it is not different from how Sanusi was witch hunted out of CBN for raising similar issues.

Yes no crime has been commuted and the report also states that investigation is still ongoing to determine the reason why but the fact is that there can never be a reason for the investment of a company to be liquidated into the account of another company. Two separate entities that has no stake in each other.

It might not be the kind of crime your mind sees(stealing and stuff) but it is a financial misnomer that makes it a crime. transfering the investment of a company to another is not a crime but liquidating the invesment(asset) of a company into the account of another company without a letter to show for the transfer of investment is a crime.

Even the bank would be in trouble when the sh!t hits the fan.
I hate it when people speak from both sides of their mouth.

I still do not understand where the crime is and how it concerns Ibe Kachukwu. A company (or an individual) can transfer cash to any company or anybody. As long as the money is not being transferred from public purse and the company transferring or receiving the money has not made any complaint, i do not see the business of the government in this.

You missed a very vital point of agreement we both share and that is that ANYONE would choose life. Some would risk their own life for the sake of the their unborn children while others would not. Some would rather live and let their u born kids die. This simply demonstrates that it's all about PERSONAL choices. You or I cannot make this decision for anyone.

Their choices, their demons or their angels. Let them live with whatever choices they make. However as a pro lifer I would seek that they choose life at all times especially when there is a chance for this yet available for the unborn child.
As a pro lifer, why would you seek others keep babies they are not prepared to cater for? Are you ready to contribute towards the upkeep and raising of the babies? How are you affected by how others decide to live their lives?
Why not be satisfied with living your life as you deem fit and leave others to live their lives?

Meanwhile, here is a report of the impending population catastrophe if we refuse to check our extremely high population growth.

Nigeria’s baby boom

Nigeria is experiencing a baby boom.

Between 2008 and 2011, 5.4 million babies were born in Europe. I mean Europe, not the European Union. In 2008 alone, 6 million babies were born in Nigeria. In 2009, it was 5.9 million babies, in 2010, 5.8 million. By 2011, the number had swung back up to just over 6 million, and in 2012, 6.7 million babies were pushed out by Nigerian women. In each year in a four year period, Nigeria produced more babies per year than Europe in the entire four years under review.
http://africasacountry.com/2014/05/nigerias-baby-boom/
Nigeria seriously need a population control policy. Babangida tried a " 4 child per woman" policy, but it did not work. We need maybe a 2 child per woman policy as lots of Nigerian men has multiple wives.

Nowhere is it a law that mothers abort early. Many also abort late and either kill or leave the aborted fetus to die. What I am saying is that be it early or late abortion is wrong which was why I gave those links about abortion survivors telling their own story. They are all glad they survived their parents abortion attempts even though some of them suffered deformities from the failed abortion attempts they were still glad they were alive.

You have no right to take the life of anyone or stop the right to life of a fetus.

They have a choice too.
We have started going round in circles and the debate has turned dogmatic and emotional.
You have become oblivious of any points raised and instead remained glued to your unreasonable assertions of fetus have a choice. I wonder what choice a fetus has.

Many suffering children also regret being born, and some go on to commit suicide, so your ' I am glad I survived abortion' examples is neither here nor there.

Well, this scenerio doesn't quite fit with what I had in mind. Any sane woman wouldn't be looking to abort her baby at such a late stage.

I was talking about a scenerio where a woman is placed in a dilemma and has to choose between herself and her baby or risk dying along with her baby. I'm sure, she'd be mighty glad if the baby still survives in this case.

Killing a 23 weeks old baby or an already born baby deliberately should be a no no for everybody.
That was what I have been trying to explain to the guy, that the examples in the report is not valid for what we are talking about. Most pro choice supporters do not support aborting a 23 weeks pregnancy. That is almost 5 months for god sake. The process of aborting a 5 months pregnancy is no different from carrying the pregnancy to term and then murdering the baby. The ethical and moral dilemma is the same, you kill a fully formed baby, you put it in a nylon bag and dump in a bush, refuse dump or the lagoon.

What I have been talking about is aborting the pregnancy within 6 weeks of conception, here the embryo is just a mass of cells attempting to implant itself into the uterus. Aborting it a process of simply preventing it from implanting itself. There are drugs that can be used to achieve such or simple vacuum pumps that can be inserted into the vagina and the whole mass is pumped out. This is not much different from taking family planning pills or injections, the pill does not prevent fertilization, it only prevents the fertilized egg from implanting, it is also abortion. I hope you guys are not against the taking of pills also.

This story validates what i have been saying all along, that;

Abortion is quite different from murder. It is considered abortions if it was terminated inside the mothers womb, but considered murder if it was terminated outside the mothers womb.
Abortion is a lesser evil than murder. If you criminalize abortion, then you would be exposing newly born babies to gruesome murders. A woman who does not want a baby cannot be forced to care for the baby. The only other solution is to allow the mother have the baby and the baby immediately taken away by the authorities.

Have you watched the video to see the domino effect of pro abortion in China?

Nobody cared because it was a girl.
Exactly! I am certain that if all men insists on the rights of the produce of their body, most women would not even consider abortion, but you and I know that this is usually far from reality. Lots of men deny the rights to the product of their body and take off on hearing the phrase " I have not seen my period".

If men are forced by law to share some of the burden of pregnancy and eventual upkeep of the baby once it is born, then you anti abortionists might have a point, but to insist a woman must keep a pregnancy she is unable to care for, physically, financially or psychologically alone is cruel, both to the woman and the baby.

I saw the video and it is appalling, although I still cannot link it with abortion. Such scene happens in Nigeria also almost everyday.

This is very wrong premise and analogy. A woman aborting a baby would be committing "illegal abortion" in jurisdictions where abortion is illegal, while a man killing his own kid would be charged for murder in every jurisdiction in the world.
Even the very term "aborting a baby" means the process of becoming a baby was aborted.

I see this most vocal opponents of abortion rights of women as misogynic, hypocritical, chauvinistic and egocentric religious bigots. They prefer to remain frozen in the 19th century, where women were not accorded any rights, where women do not have rights to their bodies and where women were not even accorded voting or inheritance rights.
These people see forcing a woman to keep a pregnancy she does not want as their God's punishment for sexual immorality ( according to their religious beliefs). The irony is that abortion nowadays is done more by married women than by single women according to information by a very close doctor friend on mine. He told me that safe abortion is now so exorbitant that single girls can't afford it. Married couples with 3 or 4 children already opt for abortion ( if family planning methods fails).
China had a one child family for over 30 years ( now it had been increased to two), guess how they were able to maintain the policy. Family planing including abortion. It got so bad that couples were aborting baby girls in early pregnancy because of the huge preference for baby boys.
Abortion is as complicated as prostitution, you can criminalize and immoralize it all you want, but you cannot stop it, a woman will always exercise control over her body, whether you legalize it or criminalize it.

I do believe you are also made of cells, supposed Person is still union of cells - this doesn't help at all.

As far as i know we are all cells and you wouldn't argue this makes it okay to kill us all
A person is a union of cells but a union of cells is not necessarily a person.

A foetus is not considered a legal person in any jurisdiction in the world. Even where abortion is illegal, you can only be charged for aborting a baby and not murdering a baby.

If you "kill" a baby 5mins before birth, you will be charged with abortion, if you kill a baby 5mins after birth, you will be charged with murder.

My own views is that women should have the final decisions of whether they want to keep a pregnancy or abort it, but a time limit should be allowed for the woman to decide - probably 0 to 6 weeks after conception.
The consequences of forcing unwanted babies on women and the society pose more danger on society than abortion. I have seen newly born babies floating inside the Lagos lagoon and my wife had seen a new born dumped in a refuse heap in navy town, still alive and coveted with ants. Luckily, the baby was saved.

You cannot force a woman to have a baby she does not want as punishment for sexual immorality.

Is there no records of people who were born without these body parts who did not end up leading successful and eventful lives? If there are, Who then decides if the ones with the same conditions seen via ultrascan would not also lead eventful and successful lives?

At what point is a fetus alive? At what point is a fetus human? Those should be the kind of questions you should be asking.
Was it you or your moral or religious organization that ensured that people born without complete body parts led meaningful lives? It was the parents, so the decision to have or not have the baby should rest squarely on those responsible for the survival and upkeep of the baby.

The fetus becomes alive the moment it is conceived. A fetus becomes human the moment it can live independent of its mother.

Natural death is not murder. Murder is an intentional act. Any intentional abortion is a no no. Perhaps you would have loved to have been intentionally aborted or murdered as a fetus.
You guys love to appeal to emotional blackmail to impose your moral sensibilities on others.
Murdering a fetus is an oxymoron, murder refers only to a person, a human being. Cells are not referred to as a person, and definitely a sperm and ovum merging together cannot be said to be a person.

I could not have been aborted because my patents wanted me badly. They went to great lengths with expenses to conceive me. I can say I never lack love.

A woman should never be forced to birth a child she does not want.

Abortion has not reduced the world population, in fact it is increasing in geometric proportions.

Are you not tired of singing this old song
Blah blah blah 16 yrs of pdp rule blah blah blah
Buhari job according to you is to take pictures and gallivant in London

Borrow sense
You need it
As long as you continue to sing the stanza that Nigeria's problems was started by Buhari, we will continue to sing the chorus that PDP's 16 wasted years was the main contribution to Nigeria's present woes.
The irony of this situation is that those that sang GEJ till 2017 are the ones now singing "
WE
voted for change.

I know you are happy about the current state of the nation
Where whooping 70% of fresh graduates are unemployed
Where prices of food stuff are at all time high
Where Nigerians pay for electricity that they don't have
All federal roads are death traps
Our educational and health system is a complete disgrace... It's been from one strike to another
The list is endless

Honestly I know a sadist like you will be happy about the current state of the nation....
Once it's a Fulani man that is in aso rock
And you can soak garri without sugar to drink
Everything is alright in the world for you

Enjoy your free data while it lasts
According to you and IPOB, all these things you listed above started the day a Fulani man got into Aso rock.

Even during your hero's time in Aso Rock, was there any significant celebration of independence day. Please remind me of one independence day broadcast you remember from president Jonathan's period.

Abortion is murder.
A fetus is just as good as a human being
To make matters worse, nobody speaks on behalf of the fetus.
Its like sentencing a dumb man to death because he cant talk.
If abortion is murder, then who speaks for the over 50% of all fetuses that are naturally aborted (miscarried). Who is murdering 50% of all fetuses because they cannot talk?

See report;

Pregnancy and Miscarriage

According to the March of Dimes, as many as 50% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage -- most often before a woman misses a menstrual period or even knows she is pregnant. About 15-25% of recognized pregnancies will end in a miscarriage.
http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/pregnancy-miscarriage
Many times an egg is fertilized with a sperm to form a zygote, but the zygote is unable to implant itself unto the uterus, it ends up as an aborted pregnancy. Same thing as having an abortion within 4 weeks of pregnancy.

Why not if Peter and Paul who are twins can part ways, how much more strange bed fellows like we have in Nigeria.Lord Lugard amalgamated strange bed fellows
If we should follow this your analogy, then now two individuals can come together to form any sort of social or business unit. Peter and Paul splitting is not a simple affair, it will involve lawyers and the complex process of splitting their assets and rights. They are following the legal process of separation instead of threats, intimidation and insults based on hatred.

Togetherness should not be force....

None of the one Nigerianist would agree to be in forced marriage or union.

One Nigerianist are diabolical and demonical evil
Which one was forced marriage? Before independence, before the marriage was contracted, the regions had the option of going their own way. It was the Igbos that desperately wanted a marriage ( loose form of marriage at that). After independence, it was the Igbos again that forced a forced marriage on in the form of a unitary system. It is now ironic that the Igbos are now the ones accusing others of forcing a marriage on them.
