It's not uncommon to hear women being described as weaker vessels. I'm one of those people that doesn't believe this yan at all. Maybe physically it sometimes is true but look at this case where a 21 year old woman killed a trained male boxer. The way people are killing their partners(whether as married people or in an illegitimate relationship) is really alarming these days.

From the book, "Art of War" by Sun Tzu, I'd like to quote two statements made by the author.

The last couple of weeks have been really scary in Uyo. My close friend was cut on his head with a machete and threatened with a gun to hand over his phone and money. These people cause people alot of pains. How do you even use machete ontop of someone cos you want to collect his phone? Them no dey snatch phone or car, they use gun and machete to inflict injuries and then dispose you of your car or phone.

People are fed up, particularly cos the police for the most part of it were very quiet and never responded to the cases all over town up until very recently. And then even the ones they carry to the station, a few days later will be back on the street and you that enabled his capture will be in deep trouble.

What you see here is a result of accumulated anger. The people are angry!!! These days 8pm dey like 2am , the roads are completely dry. No one is moving, cos public transport don enter house, the ones wey still dey, most of them na these thieves. And if you use your car, them go beat you or shoot you collect am.

Jungle justice isn't the way forward, but the people have a limit to the amount of criminal oppression they can tolerate.
