The EFCC has powers only to prosecute while the courts convict. Or is Magu also a judge? By the way, where is the immediate past chairman of EFCC? On the run or studying abroad? Mama Peace may not be a grammarian but she is definitely not dumb. |

If care is not taken, the controversy would go beyond uniforms to the right of students of different faiths to observe their different " hours of prayer " on the school premises which would also be within their "fundamental human rights " . Would we then build the school time table around " prayer hours ". |
What a country! Fighting corruption, fighting inflation, fighting militants, fighting insurgents, fighting recession, fighting IPOB, fighting Libyan terrorists ( herdsmen), fighting the opposition, fighting indiscipline ( WAI) . Haba. I blame the people that conspired and hoisted a military man who doesn't seem to know what democracy is all about to lead this country at this critical period. To him, a soldier, success only comes through fighting. Nothing else matters. |
PHCN should stop forcing outrageous estimate bills on customers and provide them prepaid meters asap. |
It is said that the best form of defence is attack. Mr Information minister, stop defending your clueless and incompetent party by always trying to make us angry with the past as a way of diverting our attention from our present and forgettng that we have a future to secure. A smart intelligent young man will put on his thinking cap, roll up his sleeves, try to make the best out of a bad situation and get to work instead of blaming his parents for not leaving him a fortune to inherit. No amount of blames will ever exonerate APC from its failures |
How can we ever progress with this administration always associated with the negative words like corruption, insurgents, militants, terrorists, saboteurs, looters, budget padding, lies and liars, Criminal Minds ,United States of Nigeria, technical recession, bombings, wailing wailers, zombies, blame game etc etc etc. Especially the blame game. If there is another oil boom now I doubt if this administration can do more than what we are seeing. Give more than enough money to a bad cook, the dish will still be tasteless. |
Mbaka, as a man and a Nigerian, is entitled to say his opinion. But, as a consecrated priest, he is not allowed to do politics as the Pentecostal pastors. Why is he the only Catholic clergyman that talks the way he does? Is he wiser than the bishops that ordained him? With the way he now talks, I won't be surprised if the elites in his congregation start deserting him. |
Might as well concession the country for it to work. |
But hear Fr. Mbaka: somebody came, looted your kitchen, carried away all the food. “He did not even leave you crumbs to console yourself with. And then comes another person, trying to replenish your pantry, trying to restock your kitchen. And then you begin to shout; we are hungry o, we are hungry o, to the point of distracting and discouraging the new man. Who should you rather wail and rage against? The man that looted your kitchen, of course. Oga Femi, please stop making us angry with the past as a way of diverting our attention from our present. Your boss has failed Nigerians. Period. |
I doubt if the allegedly15+ million people that voted this administration into office will agree with him and his party on this brazen challenge. So if Nigerians don't change, the administration will continue to punish us as recalcitrant children instead of doing something to solve our problems. Psychologists call this :DISPLACEMENT REACTION. |
Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mrs Gloria Izonfo as a Federal Commissioner, in the National Population Commission (NPC). Some people might misunderstand this news as if she is the CHAIRMAN of the Commission. She is a 'mere commissioner ' which is no big deal. Why not make her the Chairperson - if the lopsidedness in appointments is being corrected. Some zombies are already clapping for him. |
APC and certificate wahala are like. ........( someone help me upload the accompanying photo) . |
This time around I wonder what they are promising the Edo state people. Heaven on earth? |
Most zombies will always defend their masters by shouting " bring evidence " that so and so are corrupt. As long as it is impossible to provide evidence where a pregnant woman was having sex, so long these APC money-bags will continue to play the saint. Absence of evidence ( being caught) does not necessarily mean innocence but by their fruits ye shall know them. Amaechi knows this much. |
Please the Committee should put the Card Reader on hold for now until we have the resources to upgrade it to an infallible standard ( as in the Banks' ATM cards) . |
“My belief is that democracy allowed for anybody including President Buhari for that matter to contest any election and it is the prerogative rights of Nigerians to vote or not to vote for them,” the ex-president said. But, sir, as a Nigerian, will you vote for him then? Because I have always been taking your advice on most national issues . |
You cannot take care of your sports team. Another person shows interest and tries to assist you because he cares. Instead of showing appreciation, you are displaying your corruption infested mentality. Even if the team is your wife, jealousy has a limit. Now the benevolent man has challenged you to check out his source of income. The least I expect from the senator, minister et al is an unreserved apology to the philanthropist. |
It is better to jaw jaw than to war. Bomb Niger Delta into submission and continue exploiting oil from the region. And you think that the survivors will be happy? What sort of unity and oneness by conquest is that? |
So this is how APC and their supporters are accumulating money while the rest of us are suffering and asked to be patient. For where. In Naijerea a patient dog usually starves. |

Granting emergency powers outside of the constitution? As in state of emergency? Or is this an innovation? For how long will the powers last if it is an emergency provision? Can it be easily revoked if it is seen to be abused? Will this really really solve our problems? If it doesn't, will they now accept responsibility and stop blaming? |
"The neighbour, who police identified as Halilu Umar from Sokoto State, reportedly told the police that Mr. Chinakwe’s decision was aimed at spiting and ridiculing his father who also happened to be named ‘Alhaji Buhari.' " 1.Sokoto state or Niger Republic? 2.The father's name ' Alhaji Buhari ' is even an alias and not the real name which should be Umar. This complainant should have been arrested for disturbing the peace. AIG, please take note. |
“Nigeria is a sovereign nation and such a donation must go through a process. If we get a go-ahead, it will go directly to the team,” Mr. Pinnick said. “ Go ahead from who? The person(s) that denied them funds when they were stranded in Atlanta? |
So after bombing and possibly killing all the militants (which is very unlikely), what happens. Is it not obvious that Nigeria is heading towards a second civil war which might not end like the first one ? A wise man once said that " It's better to jaw jaw than to war war ". The unity of Nigeria cannot continue to be by conquest because therein lies all our problems. |
OrlandoOwoh:I didn't say that you should secede. You are calling for true federalism and yearning for it but the beneficiaries of the lopsidedness are utterly against it. What do you do? |
Until you Southwesterners start putting the talk into practice, I will not take you serious. You want it? Act. You think IPOB, MASSOB, Avengers and even BH are joking by acting on what they believe in? Freedom never comes on a platter. The Abokis are not ready to let go. At least start with mobilising the people as happened in 2012 during the fuel subsidy demonstrations. |
Lawyers, abeg help me. Which one be Interlocutory ( abi na interlock) Order and Interim Order. Is one superior to the other? |
Assuming that this oil is discovered in the North, will it be for the North or for one Naijeria. Again, can any SE or SSoutherner own any oil wells there? Just wondering. |

This people can never disclose the source of their funds. But we know . So, please stop telling us smart lies. How did you arrive at 12.7 financial members ? Because the 15 million votes ascribed to the president by INEC in the last election were from your members? Believe me half of those votes came from folks who don't have any party's membership card. Maybe by 2019 you'll claim to have up to 20 million members and of course your victory at the polls is again assured. Unfortunately there is nothing anybody can do about it because we are already in a one party system. |
itswell1:If actually our first lady travelled to the USA and Mrs Obama didn't so much as welcome her, something must be wrong. A senator's wife was accorded that recognition but a whole president's wife was ignored ? WHY? Maybe, maybe she didn't show up in the USA. If Mrs Obama were to visit Nigeria, o boy, Aso Rock will be at a stand still . |
