Please and please, pay for the hotel to clear yourself...make sure you pay,if not all. Shigoboy: Hello guys, I need a clarification on this, I got my UK visit visa approved, during the application I stated I’ll be staying in hotel during my visit, but later got in touch with a family member who’s ready to accommodate me during my stay, I understand I have to make the reservation cos it’s was stated in my application, my question is, can I make a reservation with the option of “paying at the hotel”? so I can easily cancel after I’ve been cleared at the POE. I’m actually trying to avoid a question like “why don’t you pay for the reservation before coming”? I don’t know if something like that happens at the POE, thanks for your contribution. |

University of new haven doesn't require you to send official transcript during application. You can upload a copy of all your documents and the application is free. Same applies to most schools. Hello Bro,could you please text me your number or email to wolex2090@gmail.com.i just want to ask you something about the school. Thanks God bless. |

You did not clearly state your question but I'm guessing you are worried about the change of degree based on the "but" statement you used.
Let me give you my 2 cents.
There is absolutely no problems with doing a masters degree that is different from your undergrad. In fact, this is one area I applaud the US educational system because it has a high degree of flexibility. For instance, a lot of Indians that study MS in Computer Science had their undergrads in Engineering or Information Technology. A lot of Chinese students that study MS in Statistics had their undergrads in Economics.
I have even seen BS in Architecture to MS in Computer Science and BS in Psychology to MS in Computer Science too.
So, I see no problems with you choosing a master's degree different from your undergrad.
However, try to make a connection from your undergrad to your work experience and to your master's degree so that the VO will know you are a legit student.
But generally, I don't think you have a problem at all. Are you sure about this? Most people hear share idea base on experience of those that has already gone for interview..I wish others can shed more light to your opinion.thanks 1 Like |

fairheart: That should work if the schools doesn't want to see the official from your institution. You need to ask the graduate office or graduate admission coordinator to elaborate on this! Some schools only ask for official evaluation copy, while some schools will still want to see official from your institution in addition to the evaluation copy.

K234: Hey Nairalanders! It's been ages since I've visited this thread but I still remember how a lot of the information shared here was very useful to me during my grad application process and visa interview. In my own way of giving back and lending my support to this platform, I and some of my fellow Nigerian grad students decided to create a platform on facebook for incoming Nigerian grad students to Texas A&M University, College Station. Anyone who has been accepted for the Fall 2019 session can join the group (undergrads are also welcome!!). We will share information with you about housing, jobs on campus, general student life, etc. Feel free to request to join using this link https://www./2013984848907239/.
If the link doesn't work you can search for the group on facebook "Texas A&M Incoming Nigerian Graduates Students".
Cheers!!! Good morning,is Gre or Gmat required for graduate program in the school? I will like to apply for agricultural sciences or Economics.thanks |

texrem: Shoutout to those who got visa already! Shoutout to those awaiting visa interview with positive attitude of having the visa already!
Well, visa interview should not be taken lightly. There's a saying that says whoever that fail to plan will inevitably plan to fail. You have seen a lot of testimonies that carries my moniker. No be me do am ooooooo.. Ngwam! God just use me to help them improve their weak point and make necessary corrections. Forget, the issue of going to a community college or university. If you prove your studentship, you will get the visa. It has happened on this thread, irrespective of your age (Its rare tho). But, believe in yourself and your God. there's Luck and there's God, whichever way you wanna put it. But as for me and my household, we believe in God almighty. Preparation is the key. Confident skyhigh. I am telling you as you prepare for your interview, have in your mind and digest this few points;
1. Be prepared for it. read, read and read. rehearse and rehearse, but not too much that you will sound rehearsed on the interview day and blow your chances like balloon. This VO are psychologists. They will scrutinize you and walk through you mind until you gbagaaan! But if you re prepared. No shaking! shoutout to 2baba
2. First impression matters. You go there with a strong face as if your village people dey follow you. You will get a strong impression from the VO back (You know what i mean). But let me tell you, no matter the scenario surrounding the interview proper, if na strong or cool, Our God is an awesome God. Nobody can stop you!
3. Maintain Eye contact. Eye contact passes a strong message of confidence. I look the lady as if dem born us together. Na wetin make me like girls be that (Na joke ooo)
4. Be respectful! Those oyinbo sabi your culture! Be humble!
5. Mind your own business. Don't feel dejected because someone was denied right in front of you. Una no pay visa fees together. You guys dont have the same surname. Carry your cross!
6. Smile intermittently during the course of the interview!
7. Even if you're denied. Refire! don't be weighed down, dejected or lost because of a single failure! I failed 3 times! (See me bouncing today)
8. Give love and you will get love back!
9. Hit me up for mock!
10. I am heading to bed!
Wish all 2019 visa hopeful all the best! Go and make me proud!
Happy Easter to you all. Miss the Family! Morning Bros,i don apply for visit 3yrs ago dey deny me,now I want to apply as a student because am processing a school. Do you think I stand a chance on student visa since I have applied on visit once before and I don't have a traveling experience? |

You can correct your passport in Abuja for about 180k My brother,i have use it to apply U.S visit 3 yrs ago with the age...it may be confirmed from the U.S ,you know they share information. DMerciful: University of Regina, Cape Breton University, Carlton University, University of New Brunswick. In fact many universities and colleges waive proof of English for Nigerians. Just let them know English is your lingual franca and also your language of learning. Your transcript is a proof. Over 6 schools I contacted waived it! @Dmerciful, supposing have been given admission,do I still need to submit all the results I used to secure the admission to Canadian embassy when am applying for the visa? Thanks |

Sir,i would like you to shed more light on the fact waec may not be necessary,am a graduate of agric economics..I have a 2:2 (2.7)do you think the waec won't be necessary because I can see I have to go through WES for evaluation,do you think if I do WES evaluation is not compulsory I attached waec?I would like to see how the folks go about it if you have the link.
Please, suggest short program I can apply for that you think I may be approved, which does not require academics.. thanks so much God bless.
Are you currently seeking for an undergraduate admission into a Canadian institution? WAEC is a compulsory requirement for your admittance into the university. Assuming you're a heading for a post graduate studies in Canada, WAEC is not a compulsory requirement for visa application, as I have seen folks that didn't include one with their application and were approved.
I hope this answers your question |

[quote author=Frankrobbn1 post=76913750] Hi,
Considering that you've applied for a US Visa in the past and got denied with same age on your passport you can't reverse it any more. You should have effected the change long ago before applying for the visa. There must be consistency at all event with the Information you've filled on your US application form with that of Canada. I would suggest you don't complicate issues for yourself but continue with it and exclude your WAEC result when applying for your Canada study visa.[/quote
Thank Mr Frank, does it mean admission can be done without WAEC?I don't have NECO.. please explain further...

Secondly, let me have your mail add if you don't mind sir.
Hello wolex2090,
Sorry to have mistakenly skipped your question and answering subsequent ones.
Now, to your question,----- Yes, The Canadian immigration department will definitely figure out your age from the US immigration department as both countries and other allied nations exchange information regarding to immigration matters (how well do you think they respect your privacy?)
They have got all the information on your passport; a second photo of you; your fingerprints; your signature; every answer you have ever written on a visa application; your travel history; your financial information; your family information; your telephone information; your Internet information; they have thousands of external bodies (background checker's) around the world clipping and scanning newspaper articles and searching web sites for information on you(LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc...). All of these are carried out with the aid of some of the world’s most powerful computers.
Remember while you were talking, the consular officer at the US embassy was busy adding/typing your comments to their database, to be visible at all your future visa interviews and to some first-rate nations whom they have signed agreement with to exchange Immigration information. The more you talk, the more the visa officer types.
With that being said, the best possible way to maneuver this, can only be on the account that you declared in your application form that you made use of a compensated agent in your application. Then, you wouldn't face any challenges. With this, you can feasibly address the issue on your LOE. Aside from that, I don't think you can scale through this tough path. |
