GeneralShepherd: I wonder why anyone wants to study in England? Because a good certificate from a British school can help to get a well paid job in many places. Unlike many other countries education establishments. What is a certificate from Nigeria worth? |

Lasmab: Please anyone in the house. if you know a suitable "anti-malaria tablet" for a woman trying for a baby? I have been research, but I couldn't found any pleasant information regarding to this. Because my wife is coming very soon. That's what DOCTORS are for! To prescribe the correct medicines. Not something you have looked up yourself or asked strangers on a website.

shamecurls: Hello All,
Please who has an idea on how i can individually apply for a work permit to UK. All jobs i find in these country`s always require that i have a work permit and they always tell me they wont be able to finance my work permit even when am very much qualified.1 Thanks in advance. There is no such thing as "Work Permit " for the UK. You have to apply for a Tier 2 visa with the right to work. You will need to qualify on the points based system. You will need to be applying for a highly skilled job and the employer will need to sponsor youe application.

Bambamzzzz: The bank will not disclose account balance to anybody apart from the account owner and the only thing embassy always ask the bank is that if the account statement is real but my advise for you is to leave the money there until a decision has been made on your application.Best of luck You must take note! Whatever you believe on bank confidentiality. We have seen this many many times. The Embassy or Visa Officer have ways of asking questions and finding information on bank accounts. If things are not as stated then they will find out! Boosted accounts, false accounts or funds withdrawn they will find out! ALSO When you get to the UK funds can be checked at point of entry (unlikely) But they WILL be checked by your school. The school has a duty as part of their licence to check and report problems with student funds Study funds and accomodation. |

daway: so if i withdraw part of the funds, that will affect my application right? i get your point, on another note can i use an uncle, brother or relative's statement with a letter stating that the account owner is my guardian? will i stand any chance? If the TRUTH is that you do not have the money for your visit then best to stop thinking about ways to out smart the VO.

daway: one thing that is still unclear to me is: having satisfied all requirements including the statement of accounts...will the UK embassy contact the bank asking for the amount in the bank account or just confirm the flow of transactions and to confirm the authenticity of the account statement? This is EXACTLY why I said that an old bank statement causes concern to VO. The answer to your question is that they have ways of checking the ammount in your bank and the transaction! If you have withdrawn the funds then cancell your appointment before you get banned for fraud. |

daway: hello,
I just got admission into a uni in uk too. my own case is quite different, the statement of account i intend to use was shows account flow from july 1st till november 17th with a closing balance of 4.2 mil. I have paid my deposit of 3500 but not from the account. but i am confused if i can still use the statement of account as am i will be applying for visa on the 6th of january. will this same statement work or i will need to get another one considering the 28days ish? Your statement is over a month old! VO will say " Anything can have happened to the money in that time!" Old statement looks suspicious Get fresh statement before your interview. |

Stop car in middle of road, block as much traffic as possible. Men get out of car, run around waving arms in the air, shouting and beating chest. Rip off shirt and start fight with anyone in other car. Women get out of car, start screaming loudly and shouting "my baby, my baby! When police come fall on ground holding neck shout "I have whiplash" |

I received a survey email from UKVI last night and that is all oooo. Nothing else, I am still waiting and praying that my visa will be granted this time around. Re-applying that soon just makes you look desparate which is a red flag. It would have been better to wait and improve your situation. |

sweetchanel: Please,beeps..I've never posted here nor come on Nairaland,am a newbie. Am planning on traveling for the xmas break to Nigeria,I plan spending it with my family and boyfriend,am actually a student here in ATL. My questions are,how do I leave the USA,what documents do I have to present at the airport POE in order to leave the States and likely questions to expect from the customs officer..I plan on returning second week of January. I hope my questions can be answered and addressed here, thank you all and have a happy christmas celebrations. You First need a Passport (USA if you are a citizen) or your home country. Then you need a Visa to enter Nigeria. Look here http://www.nigeriaembassyusa.org/index.php?page=visas
The question that you will be asked Are you being paid to marry someone for them to gain an entry visa. Do you understand the dangers and diseases of the country that you wish to visit.

Keeping: . However, even though he is not legal owner of the house, does he not have rights under a trust because he is contributing to the purchase price by paying the mortgage b4& after divorce d ex have not been paying but him for so long years. meaning that some of the house is his, cant he assert this right by stating it in covering letter.... You are looking at UK divorce law and settlement now. The money has paid will be considered "maintenance" to his ex wife and kids. He does NOT own even one brick if the house. It's HER house although she might let him stay there. It will all depend on any divorce settlement but if it were to go to court for a decision they will rule that he must pay for wife and kids.
Two things for you to think on! Do you REALLY expect an ex wife to welcome and help a NEW gilfriend? Visa officer will doubt any documents based on such an statement. It's just not the way people behave. |
