The so called traditional rulers in Nigeria are by and large a bunch of greedy, self-serving, anywhere-belle-face spivs! And you can take that to the bank! |
He's tried.....a bit! However, all this over the top praise is starting to get annoying! |
pazienza:Pazienza, bros the toerag didn't deserve this reply from you! The fool/s is/are irredeemable so like a nasty cold, you just have to ignore the madness and let it run its course! I think a mod (or maybe the owner of this site) is in on the whole charade, otherwise all these multiple-owning monikers out to derail this thread will be close-marked and hammered into oblivion just as soon as they raise their ugly heads! ![]() They've even gone and cloned the IGBOSON moniker! I mean, just how pathetic and jobless can one be to go to this extent? Don't they have jobs to go to during the week? So like i said, ignore him/them! ![]() |
Osagyefo98:Please just shut up! You've been rumbled, and we all know you're equally one of the monikers or another pathetic mofo out to derail this thread! |
Umueme:Please shut up! If you can't decipher that these guys causing trouble and making repetitive divisive posts here are impostors then you're quite naive to say the least! |
horsepower101:That's what i was about to say! Create a new thread on this forum and these insecure Igbo hating bastards will follow us there! O'mambala.com was gaining traction, but just died without warning! Any new Igbocentric website should be confirmed to be run/owned by a true Igbo, if not the same scum ruining things for us here may pretend to be Igbo and offer to start the new website, only to kill it after a few months like i think happened with O'mambala.com! |
Why the shock and surprise? Was anyone actually expecting the Voice of Nigeria to be any better than the country it's projecting? It's an apt metaphor if you ask me! ![]() |
ImperialYoruba:Hehehehehe ![]() Nigerians sef! They can't stand the sight of one another, yet shout 'one Nigeria' at the earliest opportunity...proper Fuji house of commotion! ![]() |
There are some bastards on here (or one person with multiple monikers) whose presence just lowers the tone of the thread....and i'm sure this is their intention all along! Imagine an entire three pages just filled with junk! |
Alzirida:It's just either incompetence or a dereliction of duty on the part of the medical personnel that attended the incident! Wasn't it another footballer that survived a similar incident some years back? I hope it wasn't a case of them treating the whole affair with levity b'cos the guy is black! |
Nice one! So when are they going to hold another press conference to rail against Lugard and Queen Victoria that are the real and original culprits in the usurpation of sovereignty they're talking about? In any case, i doubt if Bini was included in Biafra map. And even if it was, could they or anyone else on here supporting these peeps tell me how they envisage Biafra or IPOB will actually go about forcing any ethnic group to join the new Republic? The fact that these so called Bini leaders of thought would likely reject a referendum which would give the average Bini man on the street a voice should tell you a lot about whose interest they're actually protecting! Maybe this is just a case of them wanting to make a bit of noise to be noticed! ![]() |
GuyWise:They are greedy, shameless and have little or no respect for self and ethnicity! It's exactly because we've had these type of self-serving scum directing affairs in Alaigbo and representing us at the centre since the end of the uncivil war that we've seen ourselves and our region being cheated and treated by others as an inconsequential irritant that can be ignored and marginalised! They're always quick to want to curry favour with the northern oligarchs for the few crumbs that will be thrown to them! How many core northern muslims or Yoruba do you see going to bow before the Obi of Onitsha at his palace, or have their state governors rush to the airport to welcome him to their states? Rubbish! ![]() |
Ebonyi Score card By Hon Francis Agwu. Watching the YouTube clip, and seeing the before-and-after pics at the beginning, i just had to wonder what exactly other Governors were doing from 1999-2015! At 7.18, mention was made of the huge recycling plant the state gov't is building that would create wealth out of waste and see the state even collecting waste from neighbouring states to recycle; 7.43 shows the ongoing ecumenical centre, billed to be the largest in the country on completion; and 8.07 shows the stage ongoing construction has reached on the shopping mall which the reporter says was 'designed to be the largest in Africa'. ![]() Anyone else making these claims, and i've have written them off as noise makers, but with this Umahi guy.....for the first time i'm starting to have confidence in a state governors assertions! Lets' keep our fingers crossed! ![]() Clip courtesy of Odii Chinagoro Meshach. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKDtApVLEz4 Additional clip courtesy of SuccalebComedy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm7PCPdv1bo |
arinzeejikonye:The use of solar-panels is quite commendable, though i don't know how reliable they are as the main energy source in a huge building like the one shown in the pics! Also, the last pic shows how we're opening up new areas in our suburbs without the requisite planning to go with it! The drone-shot view in that last pic is alarming in it's show of lack of planning to say the least! ![]() |
pazienza:Pazienza, the point you raised is the result of external interests/forces stoking the embers of division amongst Ndigbo for selfish reasons, chief of which are: to maintain their grip on Niger-Delta oyel and gas; to prevent the more vocal and aware Igbos of the south-east from 'infecting' their brothers in the south-south with their ideas; to deny Ndigbo access to the sea; to deny Ndigbo full use of their God-given hydrocarbon resources out of pure hate and jealousy; etc-etc-etc! The Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani are lucky not to have such malevolent external forces looking to divide them and do them harm like we have, and hence it appears as if they're more united than we are! ![]() |
pazienza:About a day ago, i was all in favour of giving PSquare a few hard knocks for not promoting their Igbo heritage as much as they should. However i'm easing off on them a bit after reading a post on here by someone who i'm suspecting is either one of the twins or their brother Jude for how he was vociferously supporting them. I'd say that the Nigerian music scene was highly 'yorubanised' some 7 to 8 years ago, and this can be said to be as a consequence of the 'Lagos factor'. But in the last 4 to 5 years, you'd probably agree with me that it's become a bit more equalised and complimentary between the two major ethnic groups in question...esp' with the rise of musicians like Tekno and Davido who have lines in their songs sang in Yoruba and Igbo respectively. Teknos' RARA readily comes to mind here, as well as Davidos' monster hit FALL, in which he used some Igbo words. I reckon a large number of people the world over would have quickly googled the meaning of a few Igbo words based on the lines in FALL: 'nne, they want to spoil our marketi oh', and 'biko, sorry oh baby take hearti oh...sorry oh baby take hearti oh'! ![]() Also, we've witnessed quite a lot of collabos between Yoruba and Igbo musicians of recent; like the one between Phyno and Olamide. Finally, quite a number of nice Igbo and Yoruba songs have been sung by musicians of the opposite ethnicity. Two good examples are attached below :BIANU - Tunde and Wunmi Obe (T.W.O) Ft. Floss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC68zSa_r3k Sunny Neji - Oruka [Official Video] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxGkcYbvZU8 |
Donmedrac:Bros, there's no reply because peeps think your suggestions are pie-in-the-sky! ![]() There's just too much suspicion, greed and jealousy among the regions, ethnicities and elite for it to work! |
Abi oh! But for the charms they use, the upright and Godly Nigerian men wouldn't be interested in fuc/king teenage girls! ![]() |
awgumayor:Yes...he's proud of them! And so am i! You have a problem with that? |
It's the same person! |
Is this Lekki....anyone? I thought Lekki is a highbrow area like Ikoyi? ![]() |
McStoic:It's situations like this that should make any right-thinking and self-respecting southerner give up on Nigeria! It's one rule for the core northern muslims and another for the the rest of us 'mugus'! Does anyone think even for a second that a Igbo man, viewed in the core muslim north as being anti-north, would get away with half of what Buhari has gotten away with without them screaming for his head on a platter? Just this certificate issue is enough to see them start impeachment proceedings against him and get him hurled out of Aso Rock by the scruff of his neck! They come down on oyel bunkerers in the Niger Delta like a ton of bricks, yet turn a blind eye to the same illegal mining done in the north! Almost every week on the news, i see some core northern muslim customs official working in the 'lucrative south' standing proudly besides some seizure of smuggled goods, waxing lyrical about how the customs will not allow smugglers have any breathing space, yet this same customs is hamstrung in handling the issue of thousands of bags of rice being smuggled through the porous borders in the north! Anyone that sees nothing wrong with being part of such a dysfunctional set-up like we have in Nigeria has accepted the 'slave' status bestowed on them by the 'owners of Nigeria'! Shikena!!! |
Front0lane:With all due respect, you're coming across as a bitter, bigoted and frustrated soul! No offence meant oh....just saying! ![]() So you've concluded based on exhaustive studies that it's only Igbos dishing out all these insults....that but for the 'pesky' Igbos, your Buhari would be loved by all and sundry? Care to tell me how you verified those monikers actually belong to Igbos? Are you taking what's said and not said on Nairaland as proof of your assertions, or have you stepped out into the real world to carry out your research as well? You do know going by your logic, i could equally say Yoruba and Fulani are just as bitter and hateful towards Ndigbo based on what i read on Nairaland? Assuming for the sake of argument we agree Igbos dislike and abuse Buhari, would you say tagging an entire south-east region '5%', and as a consequence not treating them on an equal basis with the south-west and north-west in terms of provision of infrastructure and appointments, as well as sending out his Fulani soldiers to mow down unarmed, protesting Igbo youths in cold blood, and abusing the human rights of the ones not killed....would you say these acts and pronouncements are endearing and hence Ndigbo are unjustified in their abuse and dislike? What would you say if i tell you GEJ was abused just as much (if not more); mainly by monikers purporting to belong to Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani members of this forum? Or is this news to you? You mean to tell me you've not noticed other ethnic groups insult Igbos and mock projects sited in the south-east? If we can take such abuse on the chin and move on then why can't you? |
pazienza:Never heard of Zoro! Looks like our females are not pulling their weight like the males are! The top Igbo female musician is Sinach, and she's into gospel music! |
raker300:When is Dr Maduka going to launch this building? It's been about two years now since they finished the main structural works, yet we're not hearing anything. |
Front0lane:Dude, what the fuc/k is your problem? It's like your frustration and hate for Igbos has driven you to insanity? Can you buttress all these allegations with proof if asked to? |
They should do something about Hotel Presidential as well! It's just a few minutes down the road and an eyesore! ![]() |
Kokolet11:Same here! He's the only Governor in the south-east i'm interested in seeing his return for a second term, despite the fact i can't stand the way he tries to curry Buharis' favour! |
oyatz:We find ourselves stuck in this present rut, not for want of imaginative and pragmatic suggestions on how to move the region forward, but because of the mediocre and visionless leaders we have governing our states who appear to be incapable of thinking outside the box and bringing said ideas to fruition! But this is just half of the problem; the other half has to do with being part of an unwieldy and fractured political-economy that foists medieval-minded, semi-illiterates on everyone else in the name of 'one Nigeria'! This wouldn't have been much of an issue if it wasn't for the fact that said undesirables have us in their sights....they're on a mission to marginalise, cheat and hold Ndigbo down while they and their regions try to steal an unmerited advantage over us! |
ckenneths:Na wah oh! Na persin village be this!? Give an unshackled Ndigbo just ten years and watch them soar! |
