Doesn't look like much of a fire to me. Hopefully it's just a case of someones morning toast getting burnt in the toaster! ![]() |
Go to other regions, and see them using federal funds to launch snazzy new airport terminals; use Julius-Berger to construct state-or-the-art expressways linking their major cities; and construct brand new railway lines at the speed of light! Then turn to look at the south-east and all you get is noise and empty promises (both from the federal and state gov'ts)! If this is someones plan to frustrate Ndigbo while other regions/ethicities steal a head-start on us in the provision of infrastructure, then i have to say it's working! |
Don't know what's going on! There seems to be a dearth of inspiring news on ongoing big-ticket/world-class projects in the south-east! All i'm seeing is bog-standard roads all over the place! ![]() |
And another. I'm one of those who think Off The Wall was his best album...even better than Thriller! Michael Jackson - Don’t Stop 'Til You Get Enough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yURRmWtbTbo |
gbishman:Trust me....unlike your Nigeria, the UK takes interest in the well being of all its citizens, whether rich or poor! If as alleged, the UK gov't didn't want to assist him b'cos he identified with IPOB, then there's nothing new here! They're just acting true to type! You actually think the British gov't would support any initiative that would lead to the dismemberment of their neo-colonial outpost in Africa? Well you can think again! The way they enthroned a more compliant northern oligarchy to take over control of gov't from them when they left in 1960; the support and advice they gave Nigeria during the uncivil war; the whispered advice they gave the north on the implications of leaving Nigeria when said north were sick and tired of 'one Nigeria' and were seriously thinking of telling the south to go screw themselves.....all this points to the fact that they (the UK gov't) are quite prepared to throw morality and fairness out the window when the continued existence of their creation is threatened! ![]() |
raker300:Not surprised! Looks like a catholic cathedral environment! Catholics don't play with landscaping and good ambience in their immediate environments! I remember as a student going to Holy Trinity Cathedral in Onitsha for one major event or the other; it was like you'd left the hustle and bustle of Onitsha behind and had entered an entirely different world....so clean, serene, leafy and with well-manicured lawns! ![]() |
mabella123:Would things have deteriorated to this level if GEJ had been president? |
Afam4eva:It's no more a load of bullshi't than the sorry picture of gullible Igbos vociferously shouting 'one Nigeria'. Shouting it even louder than the very people that have benefited more than them from an unworkable contraption that was cobbled together by some nasty, racist overlord and christened by his girlfriend in honour of niggers the world over! Whatever reservations i have of the 'Igbo-jewish link' some are propounding, i see it first and foremost as a vehicle that can help facilitate our quick exit from this evil geographical expression that is responsible for the spilling of blood of millions of my kinsfolk, and if you can't see the bigger picture and endgame as well then you're just not thinking long-term and strategically! Why do you think Mazi Kanu is being given protection by the State of Israel today? Are you one of those that would have preferred he stay back in Nigeria so Buharis' fulani army could give him the Kashoggi treatment? |
payloader:If Madiba had been in Nigeria fighting the 'owners of Nigeria'....the northern muslim oligarchs, he'd have been finished off long time ago even b/4 he had a chance to open his mouth and fully make his stand! Ken Saro-Wiwa, MKO, Kudirat Abiola and Dele Giwa know what i'm on about! ![]() Compared to the brutal lot we have to contend with here in Nigeria, the South African apartheid regime were learners! |
ofwest47:The fact that asking for a referendum to decide where a people want to go is enough to put their lives in danger says all that needs to be said about your country! |
Zeezxo:Can it be any worse than what Igbos have suffered at the hands of you lot? Have Jews killed 3 million Igbos or treated them as 3rd class citizens in their own country? |
sarrki:Why are you taking panadol for another person headache? Is it your scam....is it your insane? Can't you do your 'one Nigeria' without the Igbos you despise? I'm sure the Yoruba and Fulani are more than enough to take you to where you want to go! Forget about Ndigbo just as we want to forget about you! |
Blame the stupid southerners! If you see some docile, re'tarded fool that keeps quiet in the face of all the cheating and marginalisation in the name of 'one Nigeria'....'one Nigeria' that's disproportionately favouring someone else, then by all means go ahead and continue cheating them! ![]() |
prolog2:Care to tell me in practical terms how Biafra (or Igbos, if you think it's only an Igbo thing) would go about 'dragging' other peoples lands into Biafra? I'm waiting. ![]() |
ckenneths:Spyder, you're joking right! This is the first time i'm hearing this! How come he never sang in Ikwerre dialect but always central Igbo? ![]() |
OreMI22:Me too! Was astounded to find out, considering just how beautiful his Igbo gospel songs are! I just think of how great Biafra could have been if it had succeeded. ![]() Here is a ode Cardinal Rex Lawson (another Ijaw man) made to Biafra: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lfdsGn1muo

Musical intermission! ![]() Can anyone argue with the fact that the most enduring songs ever to come out of Igboland were recorded in the period preceding and after the civil war? I think it has something to do with the pains and emotional scars of the upheavals and civil war of the time being channelled into music! Same thing could be said about the American black civil rights period of the 60s, as the most enduring and evergreen music was made by blacks mainly during this period; think of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. The spotlight in this post is on Harcourt Whyte....an Ijaw man that sang some of the best (if not the best) Igbo gospel songs ever! Another one is Sir Warrior and his Oriental Brothers. Harcourt Whyte: Nna Chebe Nwa Gi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1P6hkZBbcvg Harcourt Whyte: Atula Egwu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNgIA1irTO8 Sir Warrior & His Oriental Brothers: Ugo Chi Nyerem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAhyBNIh1i8 Feel free to add yours...those songs that remind you of your parents or magically transport you to the late 60s and 70s when you listen to them. |
Choi! See countries slamming the phone down on them! Very embarrassing! ![]() |
Yeah...just like they're building a new 2 billion dollar int'l airport! ![]() |
These people know the kind of dunderheads Nigerians are.....that they'll swallow any story fed to them without question, so they're not loosing any sleep over this certificate issue! ![]() |
oilPUSSY:Would have said Igbo, but i'll settle for Ekpeye! They're like the Ogba....Igboid, but swear down that they're an independent ethnic nationality with origins from Benin! ![]() |
There are few people i have such confidence in that when they announce a project to be built, i go to bed safe in the knowledge that there's a 90% chance it will be built! ObiJackson and Dr Maduka of Umuchukwu are two of such people! The attached 3-D rendering looks nice, and after seeing what his company has put up in Lagos and Okija, i have no doubt this one too will keep faith with what's shown in the render! It kinda reminds me of the Bonny Island JV Camp! |

The numbers being slaughtered every week in this country is just mind-boggling! It's being recorded at such an industrial scale that even an abattoir where cows and rams are slaughtered would struggle to record such weekly numbers! ![]() |
tungamaje:I suspect a large proportion of those people claiming to be Yoruba are core northern muslims (most likely Fulani). It's a crab-in-a-barrel thing: they feel Nigeria can't survive any group other than the core muslim north leaving (not just Igbos), and so they gang-up to frustrate that section that wants to leave! As at today, evidence on the ground suggests it's only the Igbo that have the confidence to survive without 'one Nigeria'; other groups lack the confidence to go it alone or to leave with other like-minded groups! They know within themselves that Nigeria is built on a false foundation and that we've made little or no progress since 1960, but they don't want to even contemplate seceding b'cos of the cover and protection 'one Nigeria' affords them and also because they know certain ethnic groups -once freed and unshackled from the chains of this cursed union- will leave them behind in a matter of years...'one Nigeria' serves to hold these ethnic groups down so they can only progress at the speed of the slowest among them! It's more than an 'oyel and gas' thing as some suggest; even if the hydrocarbons were to run out tomorrow, certain groups will still prefer hanging on to 'one Nigeria' than to secede! |
Juliusmalema:Insults? I thrive on them! ![]() Bring it on mate! |
orisa37:Is it the same courts controlled by Buhari and his mafioso? Good luck....you'll need it! ![]() |
ckenneths:Nice to see they're keeping the streets spotless! My only issue with ESWAMA is that they don't pay as much attention to busy/commercial areas like Asata, Ogui, etc! Spyder, i don't think we've seen much of the inner streets of Uwani! You have any in you folders? ![]() |
globemoney:I think they're there because the streets around independence layout are less busy compared to the stadium area. I don't see it as showing off. People just want to keep fit, and it's less painful when you do it in a group. |
Juliusmalema:It seems you're a bit slow....mentally challenged! So you determine who is Igbo or not based on the delineation made by Gowon in 1967? If there's anyone that needs to fuc/k off this thread it's poisonous scum like you who are set on dividing Ndigbo and keeping us under the same unworkable status-quo that has seen Alaigbo and Ndigbo cheated and marginalised since the end of the civil war to date! Make no mistake, there are Igbo that are as stupid, naive and submissive as you (that's if you actually are Igbo), the tragedy is that they have been the ones piloting our political affairs since the 70s and it's precisely because of you and your pathetic ilk that others take us for granted and think they can ride roughshod over our interests! You think Hausa-Fulani would accept even 10% of what Ndigbo have been put though in this shithole of a country without setting it ablaze and going out to look for 'nyamurees' to test the sharpness of their daggers on? This is the same 'one Nigeria' that some northern muslim scum came together in Arewa house and decreed Ndigbo to leave the north in a matter of weeks yet they're still walking about as free as the air; the same Nigeria where thousands of innocents have been slaughtered in cold blood by medieval-minded northern muslim scum and their mercenaries, yet you can count on one hand how many have been tried, convicted and sentenced to death for their crimes, yet it's Mazi Kanu whose only 'crime' is to demand a referendum that you and your Fulani gods want to see dead! Your case would be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic! ![]() |
