Black Friday is over hype even in USA. I used to work in Walmart distribution center and i can tell you the Black Friday goods are specially packed from China and are low standard compare to regular goods sold by walmart. |
Good observation. The white keep coming to invest in Africa because they can access loan with minimal intereat rate back home, invest in Africa with next to nothing due to curruption and make astronomical profit and flight the proceed back home. African leave Africa because Africa is a grave yard of talent. They arrive Europe or America and make decend wages, enjoy basic amenities which is not existences in Africa and they forget about Africa for good. ShoProperties: |
Interesting topic but I will rather invest where my investment is secure. I don't want to take a loan to buy a tractor trailer only for such trailer to be set on fire because of accident or street fight between neighboring street. Can anyone imagine how many Dangote's trailer has been set of fire for God knows reason? Nigeria is one of the most difficult place to invest. |
As it stand now, GEJ will win presidential election if an election is conducted today. I'm not his fan though. Nigerians pioritize surival over fighting corruption and that's what Buhari administration has failed to learn. Fighting corruption when people lose their jobs daily, can't pay rent or feed their family is useless. Buhari administration needs to pioritize his goals which should be job creation and providing business friendly environment so that the country can attract FDI. The blame game is counter-productive now and needs to be deleted from their system |
davidif:I am not a fan of GEJ or Buhari but comparing the numbers of private jobs created or lost during this administration, GEj economic policies is ahead of Buhari. My take though |
This government is cut in between doing the right things and saying what average Nigerians want to hear which is embedded in our emotional thinking ways of life. GEJ has his many faults but his goal on creating enabling business environment stand him out and this government should take a leaf from that. Government does not have business in doing business and any business government ventures into which is not provision of social services is dead on arrival. The best government in history is not judge about the numbers of jobs they created, they are judge how they provide enabling business environment with it multiple spiral effect of job creation and increase standing of living. davidif: |
Sounds like a nice idea but the world has move from government employing people. The job of government world over is to create enable environment for private sector to trive. This government should concentrate on creating business friendly environment and leave the employment to private sector. |
10k loading. MP me. Before anybody try to judge me. Ain't looking for anything in return ooo |
You are looking at one side of the story. The government can increase tax, increase PMS but can't increase minimum wage. The only way out of recession is for government to spend her way out. Koolking: |
Awesome and she deserve encouragement. The world has moved from subsistence agriculture. How many people will the casava feed? Can she sustain on the proceed of her farming?. I know for sure Nigerians are not lazy but subsistence farming is labour intensive and scares young people away. The government needs to come in big time by giving interest free loan to people like her, free land and cooperative education to farmers. This is what APC should concentrate on and stop GEJ this and that cos 2019 is around the corner and they will be goner like PDP. |
I am in need of business name registration and it's taking forever to get it done. Can someone be of help. I need it ASAP |
Nothing is wrong for a president to commission a school but the world has moved far away that. I believe Mr President is still living in yester years to have decided it worth his time and state resources to leave Abuja for Osun state only to commission a secondary school. |
I beg to disagree Mr President. What left average Nigerians poor is haphazard implementation of TSA. Though laudable, hurried implemention resulted in shortage of cash flow and the banks was the major hit. Immediately the banks got cash strapped, they can't loan out and the result is what we are all seeing. The only way out is for the government to reinflate the economy |
NO disrespect Sir, what are you saying? HungerBAD: |
I agreed with some of your points Sir but the reality is still the same. Nigeria is a difficult place to survive and the present administration is making it worse without concrete econimic plans and policies. Nobody thinks when they are hungry and the high price of basic food is an indication we are far from our promise land. aresa: |
I was born and lived my college days in Nigeria and I was once of your opinion until I live somewhere else. The system has to work for people can think straight and profess solutions and take the nation to greater height. A situation you don't know where your next meal is coming from is not a situation to think. A situation everyday you go to work seems like your last day is not a situation to think. We need to sit down as a nation and talk about the basic. The economy and the national in general needs to be restructure into a more sustainable way. diegwu01: |
Sometimes, I wish we as a Nigerian and not government can act right. I paI'd on a boat ride to go watch a dolphins in Virginia and both city and state make money by collecting taxes and also creating employment and here we are in Nigeria, killing everything that comes our way. I pray and wish we can start to act right as an individual, community and a nation.. |
We need to start asking ourselves some basic questions as a country. Can we do anything right? Why arrest him when your investigation is still ongoing? Why arrest him now, feed him and waste tax payers money on him when you know you don't have enough evidence to procecute him in court.? We need complete overhaul of our law enforcement agencies... The present head of EFCC is nothing but a total failure and would have been jobless in a sane climate now. |
APC had lost the momentum. Little over a year ago, all you see is praise and worship to change agent but now all they got is scorn. Easy to criticize and cast aspersions to people in Government but the reality dawn on them when they realize fixing Naija is no joke. Let the promise continues |
At Op. Sir, after taking time to read your write up, I hardly make sense of it. You only ranted without provide solution to numerous problems which is a trademark of average Nigerians. The attitude of PMB is a saint and all other Nigerians is a sinner should stop if we want to achieve anything in this country because Buhari can't be everywhere by himself. He still need to delegate power to people ad what's the point of delegation is public opinion as seen them as failed even when they are yet to start the projects assign to them. |
Everything in Nigeria is not about PDP or APC. Most things is about common sense. World over, health sector is capital intensive and government should have minimal involvement. It's only in Nigeria either state or federal government own and operate hospital. Health sector should be left in the hand of private sectors while government duties is just regulation. madridguy: |
This government is a joke. The country is sliding into depression and all this government can do is warn and threaten private firms not to lay off staff even when the government is finding it difficult to pay salaries. This is not time to warn or threaten anybody, this is time to role out good economic policies that will cushion the effect of recession before will slide into depression and with all the worst things that comes with it. |
Did anyone ever sit down and ask a pertinent question why GEJ administration that proposed TSA never implement it? There must be a reason to bring up the idea and wait for such a long time for the implementation.. TSA was delayed because GEJ administration felt full implementation would cripple the banking sector which was right. Buhari administration should have implement it phase so as to avoid the shock presently faced by most banks. |
Nigerian and sentiment are like bread and butter.. You can make your point without involving God. This is not the first time the disease happen and it was managed then and all the present administration has to follow the blue print of how it was managed then. To correct you Sir, it will happen again and only a prompt response will stop it from spreading and minimizing the damage. mrvitalis: |
No Sir. This is not time to play the blame game or pointing fingers here or there. This government needs to wake up and pioritize responsibilities. Little gains recorded in agricultural sector in last administration is been lost to indecision of this administration and the minister is doing census on livestock as if that will reduce the price of tomato in the market. SmH for Mr Ogbeh mrvitalis: |
No Sir.. The write up is all about NCS using 285 as exchange rate while the official exchange rate is still at 195 and not what GEJ will do or will not do. Our problem as Nigerian is living in the past. GEJ is long gone and we should focus on the present now. We should all call this administration to order when it goes south and not use GEJ this or that as an excuse for lack of direction and vision less economic policies. I'm yet to come to terms with what economic polices this present administration put in place and want to put in place that will propel this country to greater height because all i see now is one step forward and 40 backward. Even the little gains of GEJ administration has been lost due to lack of decision of this present administration. Zico5: |
You don't have to insult people to drive home your point. I'm not a farmer but I know that agricultural section and almost major sectors in naija have been left unattended to for almost a year due to lack of budget implementation and the effect is increase in prices and goods and services. Most goods are demand and supply driven. If there is continuous increase in demand without equal or greater increase in supply, the price goes to the roof.. post=45964159]Some fools calling APC?? joke apart this has shown how myopic Nigerians are How can u blame the cost of tomatoes on buhari?? Ok I praise him for how cheap onions are?? And Nigerians Are exaggerating the cost of tomatoes, even in Port Harcourt this are 200 so please stop lieing Why don't the PDP governors construct green houses and plant tomatoes and solve this issue?? This is what u get when a people prefer opening bars to processing garri When people prefer building hotels to greenhouses When people prefer build estates than building factory to produce fruit concentrate Nigerians una never see anything[/quote] |
I have similar experience. I went to RCCG in Virginia and the pastor was asking for tithe the first day. I be like WTF.. I stop going and went to local church only to be surprise I over dressed, they only ask if you care for offering envelop before giving it to you and No tithe of first offering scam like naija ish. No special seat for anybody including the pastor and people freely walk up to you and greet you.. since then, I had joined the church... |
Why go to Belarus for training? Can't remember when Belarus rank high in military strength in the world. Iran would have been a better option if we looking g for cheap training... Belarus should not have been an option |
You are right but opening fire is not the answer to that either.. What happen to chasing the driver? Radioing the other officers along the route to stop the truck?. There is no justification for taking a life except such life pose a threat to other life.. saintdennis: |
United state postal service issue American passport and that makes it easy and stress free cos postal service is everywhere even the remote part. That's a good development.. socialmediaman: |
This basic economic policy sound faulty to me. Increasing mimimum wage more than%100 without increase in production of goods and services will skyrocket the price of goods and services. The already increase PMS price has shown us prices of essential commodities should be increase gradually and not astronomically increase. I think government should increase minimum wage by %20 annually and same goes for price of PMS. If we keep unleashing this voodoo economic policy of our dear country, we will end up with 3 digit inflation and go down as fail country.. Zimbabwe comes to mind |
