First, you can make your points without being rude and made calling. Second, Brazil is better than Nigeria but no country in the world worth risking your life to travel to. $$ does not grow on trees. I never said traveling is bad, in fact, traveling is awesome but I will NEVER risk my life to travel abroad cos we only have one life. Please be matured enough to state your points without insult and name calling. It makes the receiver understand and possibly engage you in conversation next time. Peace Gerrard59: 1 Like |

I can't tell you while would someone want to move people few Brazilians do. I will reiterate my position once more, no where in the world worth risking your life for cos there will always be challenges wherever you go. Traveling is awesome but not at the expense of your life. tensazangetsu20: 1 Like |

You could at least ask to to explain. First, Brazilians don't take the jungle route. They fly to Mexico and walk to the border to claim asylum and when there was uptick in Brazilians claiming asylum, US government pressure mexico to restrict Brazil free visa policy which mexico did. Brazilians are not that much into traveling but I can tell you if you care to listen, traveling as store way to Brazil is a waste of time, energy and a worthless risk. tensazangetsu20: 1 Like |

I am not discouraging anyone from going to Brazil. In fact, I believe Brazil is a step up from Nigeria but risking your lives to travel to US, Canada or Europe does not worth it. Considering risk and reward factors, you can lose your life being store away dying a violent death. Let me rephrase it. I will rather be a mechanic in Lagos than store way to Brazil. Simple. I am actually not comparing Brazil to Nigeria. Brazil is a developing country while Nigeria is consider underdeveloped country but crime rate and unemployment is prevalent in both countries. Do you know thousands of Brazilians travel to southern border of US to claim asylum yearly? They would have stayed in their country is Brazil is better as people make us believe. Only fools will risk their lives to travel abroad cos wherever you're going, such a place has it challenges and you will not turn millionaires overnight just because you land for Europe or US. Traveling abroad is good but not at the expense of your life. They are beggar in the street of New York so they say. tensazangetsu20: |

Brazil is not heaven one bit and no country is closer to heaven in this world. After living in US for 10 years, I can tell you is little better than Nigeria and some areas in US is worse than Bariga for real. The crime rate, unemployment in Brazil will rival the one in Nigeria. That is a fact. tensazangetsu20: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Not even only tech industry. California port is now fully automated that robot do the lifting of container from ships and automated machines moves it around and stack it. Basic tech work will disappear in few months from now. toprealman: |

You nailed it but you need to include the fifth point. Never, ever leave a decent job in Nigeria and travel abroad. You will end up in group home at least for couple of years when you first get here. All these tech jobs na wash ooo. Maybe when the COVID inspired inflation but now that things had settled, your chances of getting tech job now is close to 1 per cent. toprealman: 2 Likes |

No. They are in for a long haul. First mistake is too many kids. Average family in US has 2 kids. More than 3 means you will definitely need help from the government as a foreigner, they would not qualify for it which makes it worse for them? Do you know much a daycare cost? I have a 4 year old daughter and her tuition for pre-k4 is $16k a year. Reason why people have less kids is cos kids are expensive and if you relocate with more than 2 kids and they are little kids like 10 and under, you're in a long thing and stress will kill you. otherway: 5 Likes 1 Share |

I have a friend who is into car business and he has already closed shop. Borrow money import cars but nobody buys it for months. Factor interest on borrowed capital, depreciation and you're in trouble. Business that provide non essential services and the worst hit in inflation period, followed by salary earners. I agreed with you completely. Even as a business owner, you can't just increase prices cos of inflation cos your clients/customer will find alternatives to your services but salary earners are had hit when it comes to inflation. I used to work for coca-cola and you get $.5 an hour pay increase yearly but price of bag of shrimp from Walmart goes from $9 to $14 in less than 2 years and you beginning to ask yourself if you actually getting a pay raise cos you are poorer every year compare to previous year. Starting a business open doors but inflation is worse than the devil for real. nedekid: 3 Likes |

Foreign is not always better. Some Nigerian has a better life in Lagos before they decides to sell everything and travel only to have it worse off. Studying medicine in some foreign countries is worse off than going to Benue state university for medical degree. FreeStuffsNG: |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Unemployed People, Are You Happy With How Your Parents/family Are Treating You? by xandy84: 2:30pm On Jul 19, 2023 |
You need to learn to appreciate your parents. Average American staying paying bills at 18 in their parents house and we live rent free, food and still complains. Nigerians have it good when it comes to our parents cos some jokers send their kids out of the house at 18 in US . Billionaire2: 1 Like |
Politics / Re: ₦620 Per Litre: This Isn’t What We Voted For, Tinubu’s Supporter Laments by xandy84: 4:23am On Jul 19, 2023 |
Agreed but the same government pays 30k as minimum wage. How did you expect people to make it to work. Tinubu is a learned person but I was surprised he removed the subsidy as once knowing the impact it will have on the economy. Subsidy should be removed in stages to give time for the people and the economy to adjust. It's literally impossible for government workers to make it to work on their present salary and something needs to be done ASAP. EPIJOE: |

I believe FS should have been removed in stages. Like 25% quarterly to give time for the people and the economy to adjust. Removing it once will definitely rock the foundation is our economy and possibly spiral into recession. GanagiBitrus: 2 Likes |

Wow.. what an advice indeed. My mother attend church, prays, gave 100 blocks, 10 bags of cements from my house project to church without telling me and when she told me, she said you going to see their prayer in your life. I bought a tractor trailer in one month of hustle. While some of our mother goes too far, NEVER denial your parents what they actually we earn and I believe their prayers open doors. titilo: |

Lifting of vehicles has nothing to do with roads. America has the most listen truck in anywhere in the world, even manufacturers now lifts brand new trucks. Listening is just luxurious cosmetics. Lifting 2 wheel drive is liking trowing your money away. Alex80s: |

Polygamy is a crime in the US but people here have multiple girlfriend though and the cost of living makes it almost impossible to have multiple wives. But in fairness, how do a man that marries multiple wives intend to satisfy them when one woman is enough to drive a man nut? God1000: |

Easy to blame government for everything but average Nigerian should shoulder more blame. In 1960, Nigeria population is less than 60 million while UK is about the same. In 2022, Nigerian population is over 220 million while UK is little over 60 millions. The major contributor to poverty is lack of family planning. madridguy: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Most cooperate jobs in US or UK has a month to 3 months of evaluation when you first started working for them that an employer can fire you straight way if you're not performing to their standard. In US, most states are right to work states which means employers does not have to give reason to fire an employee. Or11: 1 Like |
