Yes, we can set up a rice milling plant that can produce 10TONS of rice per day, with less than N10 million. Bump. April 2019 |
Investment › Re: What Kind Of Company Can I Start With 30million Naira by XAUBulls: 3:55pm On Dec 12, 2023 |
TheSparrow: Rice milling business is a very viable and profitable business to invest in. Especially now that the government is very much interested in the rice farming and processing industry.
The ban on the importation of rice into Nigeria and the recent closure of the country’s borders by the Federal government has exposed the huge gap in rice production that exists in the country.
Prices of rice almost doubled as a result of high demand of the product plus the inability of the current producers to meet up with the growing demand.
As it stands, the current producers of good quality rice in the country cannot even meet up to 50% of the current demand. This is the reason why the market is flooded with poorly produced and low quality rice and those that produce good quality rice are doing shakara to buyers.
With less than 10 million naira, you can get started with small a rice milling plant that has the capacity to process 10 tons of rice per day.
Average profit per ton is N40,000. So if you can process 100 tons per month, you will be making a gross profit of 4 million naira monthly.
PS.
I can prepare a Bankable business plan for you on bottled water production or any other business at a discounted price of N10,000 only.

* 3 years sales forecast
* 3 years gross profit forecast
* 3 years OPEX forecast
* Net profit analysis

Enugurangers: Lagosians. Different from being indigineous (Yoruba). Most Igbos born and bred in Lagos communicate in Yoruba much more than Igbo. At least those I went to university with at Unilag and OAU. Let me come in here. You are partly wrong in your response to that guy with regards to your use of the word "Lagosian." The term "Lagosian" is used exclusively for those from Lagos Island (Eko). I have in my home library magazines from the 1960s to the 1980s that clearly refer to folks or indigenes from Lagos Island (or Eko) as Lagosians. It is the very lazy attitude towards learning history that has led to some younger folks and some Journalists (from the 1990s) who are NOT familiar with the history of Lagos State to erroneously refer to everyone living in Lagos State as a "Lagosian" and this is wrong. Second, people who are NOT from Lagos State but were simply born in Lagos State by migrant parents are NOT Lagosians but simply "Lagos residents." The Ondo, Osun, Kwara, Enugu, Rivers, or Kano indigenes who were born in Lagos State are simply "Lagos residents" and NOT indigenes (or even Lagosians from Lagos Island). Those who have ancestral roots primarily in any of the many Ijebu, Awori, and Ogu towns in Lagos State are simply called "Lagos indigenes." An Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju Lekki, Ojo, Mushin, Isolo or Ikeja indigene will NOT agree to be called a Lagosian (Eko) because originally, the term Lagosian is used exclusively for those from Eko (Lagos Island). This is why a Yoruba person from Ikeja will tell you in Yoruba or English that he or she is going to Eko or Lagos, and you'll start wondering "but this person is wthin Lagos State, why is he or she saying that he or she is going to Lagos?" So, we have: 1. In Yoruba language Ipinle Eko means Lagos State. 2. In Yoruba language, Eko means Lagos Island. Just to add, Eko is the shortened form of "Ereko" which means a farmstead. Aside from being a settlement centuries back, Eko was used as a pepper farmstead by the children of Olofin Ogunfunminire (an Awori-Yoruba nobleman from Ile Ife) who are the original landlords of Eko or Lagos Island till today! The famous White Cap high chiefs (or Idejos) of Lagos Island are the direct descendants of Olofin Ogunfunminire. Summary: The word Lagosian historically refers to ONLY indigenes of Lagos Island (Eko). |

dominique: Cooking gas can never burn your house as a result of burnt food. What causes "gas" explosion is if there's a leaking cylinder coupled with open flames in a closed environment where the gas cannot easily escape. The worst that can happen if you leave food for long on gas is burnt food and damaged pot An insightful thread. @Ahnie probably uses as an alternative, the 3kg gas cylinder with a single stainless burner attached to it at the top like the ones attached below... NOT necessarily the table top cooker or the standard four-burner gas cooker (which are still safer because gas cylinders are supposed to be kept completely outside the kitchen area to prevent explosions from gas leakages). I've seen where a kettle full of water completely dried up after midnight as a result of the fact that the person who placed the kettle on the cooker slept off due to tiredness from a long journey, and after over 2 hours of water boiling, the kettle had became so red-hot (with a melted black plastic handle), a pungent smoke, and real flames wildly leaping out of the red-hot kettle! That could have led to an explosion from the kitchen because the gas was still on and fire was still coming out of the gas cooker's burner. I learned a useful lesson from that experience and I'll advice folks to always use an alarm clock to time themselves any time they are cooking in the kitchen.

Monaboo: Am a realtor and I sell land for a Real Estate company.
Yes...i agree with what the poster has talked about 1000%.
That's why when I market properties to clients, I always tell my clients these truths
1) Always go to the Real Estate Company yourself or have someone go on your behalf. Try and see the office physically for yourself before making any payments. E get why.
2) Ask for documents. Documents such as C of O, Global C of O, Deed of Assignments, Survey Plan etc. Except it's a village land, it should have a valid document to prove it's authenticity.
I always tell my clients to go the extra mile to check the authenticity of the land by going to the Ministry to see if the land is free from government acquisition. A good surveyor can do that for you.
3) Get up and see the land with your eyes. Most clients are too lazy. Na u go dey beg them to come for site inspection.
I can NEVER make sale to a client who does not agree to come for site inspection. If u like, be in the abroad, send ur friend or family member to come and make a live video of the land for u. This is to avoid stories that touch in future. I love my integrity.
4) The truth is most lands u see in Lagos especially at Ibeju-Lekki, Epe, are not Buy-Build-And-Pack-In Lands. Read that again.
When u go to these places, it's still bush. So u ask urself, can I build in this place now? Can I build and pack in now?
Am a realtor but I rarely make sales because I tell my clients the truth. People hate the truth. CEO's hate u telling clients the truth.
Most lands Real Estate Company's in Lagos sell at Ibeju-Lekki, Epe will not develop in the next 10 years. Read that again.
So I tell my clients such areas are Investment Lands and not Build-And-Pack-In Lands. Project to use them in the next 10years, then u can make payment.
What are Investment Lands? They are Buy and wait for the next 5 to 10 years lands.
Once u know this, it is now left for you to decide.
Most Realtors will never tell u this. They will convince so much to buy so that they can make sale for themselves.
In Lagos, where do u want to see Buy and Pack In Lands?
Except in Ayobo, Isheri, Ipaja in Lagos and maybe itele which is even Ogun state.
Anywhere else is Investment Lands.
Somebody was asking me to get him a land at Ikeja in Lagos
Even if u get a land at Ikeja which is almost impossible, the price will cut your neck
It is well.
With these few points of mine, I now know why most Real Estate Company CEO's hate me working for them
Court Rise To get "new" land in Ikeja to lease is a tall order. Gentrification is what is going on in Ikeja GRA and in other areas of Ikeja and a place like Ikoyi Island as of now. |

Then with Direct Entry entered a Federal University to study Civil Engineering. And after NYSC went to study MSc Structural Engineering and became COREN-Certified.
When I started building houses and roads, I noticed one strange occurrence. When client come to a real professional, they price tiny amount. But when they go to Fake business people with sweet mouths, they spend huge amounts. And when they get duped they blame "Nigerian Engineers" or "real estate companies" generally. Thus they lump the good with the bad.
The bad people are there to attend to clients who don't value truth spoken by the good.
I have built houses for more than 100 Nairaland users out of more than 1800 houses I have built in my 4 and half decades on earth so far. I have run adverts here also. But one incident that happened was when a client I got here was owing me an amount and he reported me to one Mufutau55 who appeared as a Mod then. That Mufutau guy without hearing me out started shouting on phone "You Nigerian Engineers like duping Foreign-based clients". I was so pissed with that statement. It was the my UK-based client that was owing me more than N2m for a particular milestone in his building. Yet he kept reporting me here and there. So I went to my bank and printed out my statement. When I extracted the facts and sent to him, that evening he sent me N1.5m out of my money he was owing with apologies.
Yet that Nairaland Mod called Ahajj Muftau had insulted me and even deleted my major post on Nairaland for what I did nothing about.

5. A Developer who does not send you the title documents of the land to verify but insists on showing it to you in private is a scammer. A Land Document is a public document. chopnaira: Bode George sef don join ronu gang.
They have always been covetous of Lagos. Other non-Yoruba tribes that were here before them do not act this way. I.e. the ijaw, Nupe, Hausa e.t.c
They were the first people to call Lagos a no man's land. They have now made PDP Lagos join the ronu gang with their overbearing attitude. The Lagos that was the British colonial capital of Nigeria was Lagos Island NOT the larger Lagos State which only came into existence on May 27, 1967, alongside 11 other newly created states by General Yakubu Gowon. Over 95 percent of the total landmass of the current Lagos State was under the government of the Action Group led by Chief Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, and his political party lieutenants in the Western Region, until these towns such as Ikeja, Agege, Ilupeju, Ikorodu, Epe, Badagry, Ibeju-Lekki, Mushin, Oshodi, Isolo, Ojo, Amuwo Odofin, Ajah, etc, were carved out of the Western Region and merged with Lagos Island to form the new Lagos State on May 27, 1967. Lastly, it was Jaja Wachuku, (the Ibo NCNC guy who in a 1947 lecture at Glover Memorial Hall on Lagos Island) that first carelessly said that Lagos (Lagos Island NOT Lagos State) was a no man's land. "No man's land" is a formal dictionary term that refers to a disputed land or territory that nobody owns. So, it's very irresponsible for anybody to refer to Lagos Island or even the much larger Lagos State by that term.

The oil has about 1,020 known uses. A liter of the oil is been sold for #3,500, 1 metric ton will produce about 350 liters of castor oil. Isn't this wonderful? According to our market survey, it attain its highest price in October and fall to its minimum price by first week of December... According to a team Agridigitale Media who came from France to Nigeria to interview Kenny Salami, CEO Untapped Farms and Agro-Consult Nigeria, Castor oil was said to be 300% higher than crude oil. Isn't this amazing? According to our research about castor, Nigeria is part of those countries with favorable climate, weather and soil for castor farming... This particular species is very toxic because of its high *Ricin* content, the Yoruba name for this specie is *Gegemu* . It repels cows and other ruminant animals which makes it very easy to cultivate anywhere...
