In as much as releasing the Cameroon separist group leaders aided the integration of Cameroonian forces into OP Lafia Dole, the military should do well by also deploying forces around borders in SS and station some AML or even a T55 around there.

We both know how to show force. I know an immigration officer who was in that post. He said if the military was present, it could have led to a confrontation because the army wouldn't accept them shooting into the Nigerian territory but as a para military, they could do less.
Talking about man power, he said we had enough armed officers on ground + armed officers from the Nigerian customs. If they had advanced more, it could have led to warning shots.
Ummm. This issue is quite complicated but it is obvious the Cameroonians are pushing their luck. Someday, some vexed Nigeria military or paramilitary officer won't be able to stomach this nonsense and will give them a dose of their own medicine.

Why on earth would they bring an AFV close to the bridgehuh

Most Non Muslims don't know this but Allah is not a name of God like Zeus, Hades, Odin or Thor. Allah is the Arabic word for God/Deity. Allah and God means the same thing. Just think you should know.
Lol, some religious folks', in the Religious Section, sole duty is to curse Allah. They are too ignorant to know that the word is just an Arabic word for God. Arabic version of Bible uses Allah.

for anybody that has the time

What I could gather from the clip about NAF recent helicopter incident.
Troops on a routine patrol mission encountered a SBVIED and some were injured. The MI-17 was dispatched for a MEDEVAC. However, due to the unprepared nature of the LZ the pilots' vision were obscured by the rising dust, BROWNOUT, so the tail rotor hit an obstacle and broke off.

The personnel on ground were ordered to salvage useful parts of the helicopter and airstrikes was carried out on the remains.

Military personnel left the location and BHTs elements shot at nothingness for a while and made a chilling propaganda video out of it.

NA lost lots of valuable equipment but no life was lost from the encounter. Perhaps, it could have been handled differently but the bottom line is lessons have been learnt.
1. Never send a fast moving aircraft with dumb bombs for CAS. The CH3s would have done an awesome job.
2. Securing Landing Zones entails damping the area with water to avoid BROWNOUT effect.
3. Human lives are more valuable than any piece of equipment. Just make sure you leave nothing behind for your enemies, Scorch Earth tactics.

etc....

Hahaha, no sanction against the "world police" can have any significance. They have the whole world, Amnesty International and Human Right Watch by the balls eating at their their palms.

If not because of Assange's Wikileaks, the world would never have known that American soldiers killed civilians just to sauce up their profiles. Apparently, an helicopter gunner with higher kill rate will definitely earn more respect and quick promotion than that with lower kill rate.

The only clarification will be the degree of precision.
Don't doubt it.
The only kind of artillery that I have seen with Nigeria military are those fed with the coordinates of the target area before shelling begins.
If Nigeria Army has guided artillery shells they would have been used against BHTs.
Have you seen the Vice video on BH terrorists?

I don’t think special forces need IFVs, there’s this new breed of very capable Light armored vehicles like the Turkish Ejder yalcin.

they also need mortars, improved night fighting capabilities, portable UAVs and reliable close air support either from NAF or NA air wing (whenever they decide to come online).
Are APCs not classified as IFVshuh

Truth be told Nigerian universities are really struggling to cope. They can't expand because they simply don't have the resources. One of the major obvious remedy is just to increase tuition fees but, realistically, can most Nigerians afford it?

I'm no expert, but where is your database? You are gonna use facial recognition to find people whose's name isn't in any database, they have no ID cards, no passport, nothing. lol. And here we are talking about a country with very limited CCTV network. i guess you mistaken Nigeria for developed countries lol, heck, is there even electricity to power the system? lol. Just saying
It would hurt nobody if DSS gets the video, carefully analyze each faces and store them in their database of wanted criminals.
Till we finally get a leader that sees the importance of a sophisticated national database like most other reasonable country.
That was what I was talking about.

Ru sure ?

1st run 4 rounds hit the moving car.

The car was on fire before the 2nd run began.

Gatling guns fire a burst inorder to get a tight grouping , if say 10 rounds r fired in a burst, some rounds will land close but not hit the target, while the rest will hit the target. Incase of a single target it might seem waste of ammo , but consider if multiple targets r bunched together , it will save ammo and still have high probability of hit against all the targets close together

U should see videos of turret mounted guns of helicopters inorder to understand the hit pattern.

There r mathemical models used to predict the accuracy and dispersion pattern etc.

Even rockets releasing sub munitions r validated theoretically via this models and then tallied against real life testfire.

Just for a few hundred dollars of rounds u saved hundred thousand dollars worth of PGM.
I don't really know much about the A10 so I thought it was a guided missile, had no clue it was a Gatling gun. Well, it's now obvious the plane hit the target in the first hit.
Learning everyday. grin

True. Nemesis4u what do you have to say about that? There are several videos of direct hit on moving targets so why is this so?

NAF has a direct hit on BHT vehicle which seems to be moving faster than this with the CH3.
Even after the vehicle halted, the second strike was still few metres shy of the target.
