Last time I checked the CPC does not need to lobby their national people's congress which is their legislative arm to do anything. The party already makes the decisions within the standing committee of the central committee. Now back to compromising. It is because of this same legislative arm that government is slow and ineffective. This system of government breeds corruption as also seen in the US through their lobbying tactics. It's better to change this system if not no matter the government that's in power, there will never be 60% utilization of the budget
The CPC engages in lobbying, they don't just publicize it.
There are opposition groups even within the CPC.
Even the process of choosing the president involves lobbying, compromises, and voting.
Lobbying is found within all civilized societies.

I will only support this bill if you credit my account with 10 million - that is bribery and extortion.
Include a road project to my village so I can support the unusually large allocation to your ministry - that is lobbying.

Got it?

So if lobbying is the norm in US, that means it must be the norm in Nigeria too. You guys keep on copying US governmental processes thinking it is the best example for a bleeped up country like Nigeria. What Is the essence of lobbying if not greed, then what is the purpose of being representatives if they're representing themselves.
The problem with your view is that it is incompatible with democracy.
When the reps believe that there are

There is no need for legislature or judiciary if a single man can dictate the agenda for the whole
country. You essentially want a dictatorship.

Even Chinese leaders with one party system do backroom compromises on national issues.

I'm beginning to think that some of these criminals and robbers were indirectly used by agents of the then government of GEJ to cause havoc and now, they are been eliminated one by one. I still wonder why there isn't any more so-called BH attacks in abuja, kano, Kaduna etc, even when there are now fewer security checks on our roads. GEJ and his ppl created all those Political BH that attacked and killed and destroyed properties in cities and towns away from d north east in a bid to suppress northerner and Muslims. And many of these policemen know d hideouts and whereabouts of criminals, thugs ,armed robbers and kidnappers, what stops them from arresting them is probably lack of inducements and or fear of those criminals political god fathers who could make them lose their jobs
You are beginning to run mad.

Yes, PDP established EFCC and ICPC but that did not stop them from emptying the treasury and stealing the money budgeted for Boko Haram war. Corruption is in PDP's gene as party. They can't help themselves. We need to help them.

How do we help them?
1. PDP needs to be kept far far far away from the treasury.
2. Come February 2019, we will do deliverance for them. Get your PVC ready.-
Who is PDP?

Are you arguing that the NASS has been illegally inflating the budget yearly something which has gotten out of hand since OBJ gave them bags of Ghana must go and handed them a free hand in the pursuit of a third term.
Don't liberally talk about legality.
Please quote the section of the constitution which bars NASS from reducing or increasing parts of budgetary allocation.

[qupte]
If you are not aware I am bringing you what is a verified open secret within the political elite, that 17million would have been disbursed to the NASS members through the leadership who would negotiate
I don't deal in supposition, provide proof that NOI withdrew 17 billion and gave it to senators.
I will never fall for fake sensationalist news.

Sometime in August this year, we had a disagreement because I noticed she was being disrespectful towards me. She is hardworking, cooks well and is very business oriented. But her sense of independence makes her struggle with submission to her man. I told her how uncomfortable I was with it and she's promised to make amends. She has but from time to time, her old self comes out.
It is always funny to read a similar story from different guys making the same mistake
and wasting women's time.

You knew right from the beginning that she lacks "respect" but you still went ahead with
the relationship.

The main problem with your relationship is that you guys think differently.
Why would you expect an independent lady to have no opinion?
Not in this 21st century.
If you want a totally submissive wife, just get yourself a jobless woman with little education.
Stop complaining and only date someone you are comfortable with.

I know you are probably thinking everything will change but it won't.

Another issue is that your mom is totally in control of your decisions.

I will retract my statement if you do.

The only quote attributed to NOI is this article is this:
"“Their operational budget had ballooned to N150 billion or 16 per cent of the budget and almost 3.5 times the 2006 budget (in naira).”

Every other thing was the writer's imagination.

Guy just simmer down, everyone knows for a fact that the NASS has busied themselves with enriching themselves at the expense of the Nigerian people's sovereign wealth.

The reason Saraki and Dogara has been successful in getting the pit of snakes to align with him PDP and APC is based on their shared desire for unreasonable wages and dubious allowances.

My own cousin is a senator and I have other family members and friends who have in the house of representatives. It's a bloody scam this thing called NASS
I am also familiar with how the NASS works.
The truth is that nothing goes for free whether bills or confirmation.

Nobody is denying that NASS members are money-hungry but creating fake news to discredit them
because they refuse to rubber-stamp Buhari's decisions.

The topic suggest that the former minister doled out cash bribe to NASS members when none of them got credited with
the 17 billion.

DARE TO SIDE WITH THE MATIONAL ASSEMBLY ON THIS ISSUE ? 1000 million times 17 ? Lobbying ? Really ? So let's all just agree you know more about numbers than mrs okonjo-iweala to know that 17 billion naira is no alarming figure for a country's finance minister to deem as ' lobbying ' . And oh , speaking of ' sttandard practice ' in every democracy , remind me again which american congressman is in jail for demanding for ' lobbying ' money for a certain african leader ?
I dare anyone to provide evidence of any lawmaker receiving part of the 17 billion Naira.
The citizens are being fooled because most don't read and are practically illiterate.
The lawmakers are not saints but that doesn't give anyone a right to manufacture news.
Politics › Re: We Gave (BRIBE) Lawmakers N17bn To Pass 2015 Budget - Okonjo-iweala by Xisnin(m): 6:45pm On Dec 20, 2018
Fake news from the stable of the nation who knows that many Nigerians will believe their lies and
not ask questions.

Any civilized and informed person knows that Lobbying is an inherent part of a democracy
with separation of power.
Even in advanced democracy like the US, the president must make trade-offs with the legislature
to get his projects approved.

But some caveman who don't understand how government works are angry because the strongest
National assembly in Nigeria's history refuses to rubber-stamp the executive "requests".

The 17 billion naira is not a bribe as no lawmaker received a personal alert based on it.
It was for projects that some lawmakers deemed important to their constituents.

I quietly told them that I wasn't interested but one of them had the nerve to squeeze my little nipples. I was so mad that I wanted beat her to oblivion.

But, what if I had done what I wanted to do, who would take sides with me? Heck!, they could even beat me up or even worse, hand me over to the police.

Men are seriously at disadvantage in this country.

What happened today show that both leaders have lost control of the house . In their mind they want to disgrace the president ,but in the real sense of it the end up disgracing the entire nation . If they know the president is not doing well they should impeach him ,is either they don't know their duty or they are afaird of something . One of my friends from the north told me that this singular act will further destroy Atiku chances in the north . They see PMB as their leader and for some set of people to do that to means a big slap to the real Hausa man .
Stop crying, they disgraced you not the nation.

Saraki and Dogara really set out to embarrass the President but ended up embarrassing themselves.
Buhari would have suffered a worse humiliation if not for Saraki and Dogara that pacified aggrieved APC lawmakers.
The first president to be booed by reps, what an achievement for Buhari.
