I see some people adducing we're better off than most countries. Nobody is saying so in relation to our vast resources. Nigeria is too rich to have 100+ millions in multidimensional poverty. That some people believe otherwise is proof of what I earlier expressed. A LIFETIME OF CRASS SELF-DEPRECATION LEADING TO MASS FOOLISHNESS EVERY 4 YEARS. |
That's not even the worst of it. The fact that average Nigerians may never see respite in their life time, is the most despicable card fate can deal to any man. Why? Because generational foolishness emerges every election cycle. Guess what? They love it. Emekaphilip360: |
seunmsg:You're actually an irredeemable slowpoke, if that's how you understand the sentence. Unless, of course you want to be coy, then what's the 'AND FCT' for APC, 'inclusive of FCT' for LP? I'll tell you for free. That's an admittance of THE TRUTH, but against the run of play. The man is hoping he'll get a rerun. |
Corruption is on auxiliary in Nigeria, it doesn't require intelligence. In 2 years time, we will be asking the same sets of questions. Imagine removing subsidy to plunge people deeper into poverty, then giving them a thread to pull themselves up. These men are evil. If you haven't got the memo about what their plans are for the masses, I sorry for you. |
This is where Agbadorians are supposed to shout "may this 8k favour me and my family (household)", but everyone is quiet. 8k!!!! Lol |
Only a handful of people understand what OP is saying. They're confusing political expediency and alliance for affinity or dominance. As turbulent as GEJ's administration was, he had NC, SE/SS on his side. Chances are, with PBAT's continued misteps in governance, there'll be agitations. By then only the SW, no matter how good they're in propaganda, can't be this nation's buffer. |
OldBeer:Na so Nigerians take start to write IELTS to visit Ghana once other states follow suit. Agbayas! All braun no brain. Ditto: Communicating official information in local dialets |
Menclothing:Who will train them? Have you tried to imagine the quality of the training undergraduates are receiving these days, more so medical students? If you have friends who are lecturers you'd be alarmed. Politicians have successfully destroyed education in this country. We will all pay the price |
mastermaestro:Lol. This one is beyond you, keep quiet. The man himself is not as boastful as you lots. Edo south still remains the powerhouse, and without a stake in 2024, they can play the spoiler for any party. As a Bini man, I believe if Esan people presents a single credible candidate Edo south will back them and Oshiomole will be the loser again with the same acclaimed 'federal might' he lost with in 2020. |
BleedingPen:People will sit somewhere and be forming analysts about Edo politics (the land of the brave). I'm no fan of Obaseki, but I'm very certain APC won't be in government house by 2024. They've started with this federal might nonsense again. Oshiomole knows better now. You don't challenge an Edo man, use entreaties instead. Sadly, the person he has been preparing since 2020 (Clem Agba) had his political report card torn to pieces when he visited the Oba of Benin recently. Only the best of candidate would assure any party of victory in Edo. |
Igbo:This man is up to no good. He's an embittered soul, amoral and has no loyalty. If he makes sense to you, then you must be very gullible. For tribe lovers, dig into his profile and see the despicable things he has said about your tribe and tribal heroes in the past. For some reasons, he has an axe to grind with the ibos presently. Maybe he reckons they're the most vocal supporters of PO, or LP's emergence spoiled his meal ticket, and he wouldn't mind reinforcing ethnic wars. In any case, he's angry and if you think he's on your side (tribe) then you're foolish. |
How people comfortably analyze someone else's intent and take delight in dragging someone that has done no damage to them, beats my imagination. Obi is not the one managing the affairs of this country now, so can you face front? Hatred will kill some of you. How many families of those that have lost loved ones since May 29th has BAT visited? modernWays: |
ganisucks:As predicted, he's back to twitter where he will ultimately damage all that is left of his reputation. Like Reno, a responsible man shouldn't be a rabble rouser. |
theophorus:You dodged a bullet but a tornadoe hit you. You people will never learn. Tribalism has eaten your brains out. |
Nothing like 'you guys'. If you, for whatever reason subscribe to ethnic sentiments or jingoism in this century, you're simply a misfit. Many people are sick mentally already, but they've not realised it. The last election changed a lot of people, accepting it is the first step to redemption. NOwazobia: |
BTW! The advocates of Nairaland didn't update us again how the repondents' defense went. All they can bank on is technicality. It wasn't easy defending a stolen mandate after all. |
Ijaya123:Face-saving for an action they instituted? Have you been following the news at all? No quip about the fact that JAMB went public while DSS investigation was still ongoing? This country is lawless. While the culprits should be punished, JAMB should be sued for character assassination. Is their no presumption of innocence in this country?. We're now judge, juror, and executioner. |
Lol. The last stage of grief is acceptance. BTW! The same GEJ you folks vilified and tagged an ineffectual buffoon? What makes you think the 'buffonery' doesn't still subsist? That would mean an uninterrupted 16 years of fruitless marabout for our nation (2015 - 2031). Please, remind me, how old are you now and how old would you be by then? Nigeria of today is a product of bad choices by its citizens. Just about one month after your voices hit the roof for BAT, the reality of his failure has set in, now another projection is being made for 2027. This generation like those before it, has lost it. The future of our nation left our hands on 25th February. |
Gbam! Agbadorians take note. You'll suffer small before he releases Agbado for another round of propaganda sometime around 2027. |
Sermwell:You're not wrong, and your heart is in the right place. I banter with people here to try and make many of them see that RIGHT vs WRONG should be based on the principles of Truth and Justice not primordial sentiments of ethnicity and religion. Hoping that we can all get it right in choosing our leaders. People are really suffering out there, and I do my best to help them regardless of their political choices/leanings. |
Kuginzi:They were shouting subsidy like removing it alone would turn Nigeria to UAE. Basic economic principles, they failed to apply. Subsidy is gone but now they're confused about how to address the culminating effects. That's the danger of putting the cart before the horse. |
helinues:Lol. Please do a head count of those whose lives are not affected by government policies. Denial is the first stage of grief. |
It's a question of mind over matter; and it matters because this level of mind-control requires blood sacrifice. Many people think their 'will' (e.g defending the oppressors) is their own. The more the suffering and lives lost, the more invincible the evil politicians become. Our own GREED as citizens, makes this mind-control very potent. |
According to Winston Churchill "For a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. |
AHCB:Lol. I was waiting for this comment. This is one of the things wrong with black people. You make sane folks think logical thinking (for good decision-making) is beyond our capacity. We know the difference between good and evil, light and darkness. It's our refusal to acknowledge it that has brought us where we are now as a nation. Why? Tribalism and religion. 1999 folks would claim Olu falae wouldn't have done better, 2007 claimed PMB would have done better and the cycle continues. The indices for good leadership are always there. I told someone BAT would do exactly what he had always known to do as a governor. Obviously, so would PO had done. The question is, what were the hallmarks of their service (objectively, no propaganda)?. BAT has always been a TAX MAN ( he's made for the rich), and that's exactly what we're seeing now. Una well done o, gaslighters. |
One day you'll tell your kids this story and they would think you were not normal in your prime. You think voting BAT when you were not expecting him to turn things around makes you intelligent? It simply shows you lack poor decision making skills. If Nigeria was not filled with people with shallow thinking like you, this country would have long move forward. Just be bold to affirm tribalism beclouded you, and we can yet still question the value of your education nonetheless. Mtcheeeeeew. Different shades of madness from generation to generation. Georgry: |
nairalanda1:Whoever employed you to launder the image of this inept government is setting you up for curses and misfortune. Don't mock people's feelings of frustration. Yesterday, NAS speaker appointed 30 aides including a former two-term HOR member from Edo, just to tell you the appointment is to enlist cronies to partake in the eating of the proverbial national cake (what you say is lean resources). They're not cutting down costs to avoid more loans, but rather to tax the poor to death. Don't say you weren't warned. |
Ok. You've been noticed. ivandrag0n: |
nairalanda1:You don't understand what he's saying. Yes, subsidy is very sustainable, but not in a country like ours. Again, the alternative is like saying "since we have goats (criminal politicians) let's not grow yam for the masses". Sadly, while we sacrifice our right to eat yam (subsidy), they're growing their barns (cost of governance), while at the same time starving us of other staples (cheap education, electricity etc). In essence, the only reason subsidy isn't sustainable as you posited is CORRUPTION, and removing subsidy hasn't tackled the problem (mass poverty). Nigeria is moving in circles. |

That's how they go about creating fantasies with almost zero background knowledge of grassroots politics. Where is Labour getting its landslide victory from? Another round of tears is obviously loading.
