tosinjay:How was it resolved? |
acunon:The choice is yours to make. |
acunon:This is damn too rude coming from a seller. I hope potential buyers can see this? You're behaving like a public transport driver who gives more priority to people who are yet to enter his bus simply because he has collected money from those inside and can do as he like. |
acunon:Since you've agreed that it's no fault of the buyer, why then are you refusing to refund him fully until he pays part of the damage? Like I said before, whatever happened to the item on transit is between you and the logistic company; I had also used GIG logistics to ship a mini laptop from Benin to Lagos and the screen got totally damaged on arrival. I had to bear the complete loss for damage as the buyer refused any other alternative. The agreement you reached with the buyer makes no sense and neither did he agree with you. So, stop saying you both have concluded. You'll be doing yourself good if you call the buyer and reach a more sensible agreement with him today. |
acunon:I read all what you typed above. I have things to say but I'll reserve them since you've agreed to resolve the issue soonest. However, I just can't let this go, no matter how good you claim to have package the item, that it got damage (let's assume on transit since we're not sure it was in that state before shipment) is no fault of the buyer's. |
If all what the poster said above is true, then, Acunon should do everything possible to refund him completely. I actually wonder why the buyer is willing to bear part of the damage; you paid for a more expensive courier service but the seller used a relatively cheaper means to make little change and at the end the item got damage on transit (perhaps). You're being too soft with him. Imagine the seller's response to a customer's complaint. I strongly advise that you use all means legal to get your full refund from him and should you run out of legal options, do let me know. BTW, Chidi, I'll need your number for a serious discussion. It's been ages friend. |
mavinc4u:Thanks. |
semasir:The last time I checked, Ecobank allows a daily limit of $3,000.00. |
mavinc4u:Perhaps, if I knew what the problem was, I would have told them. What do you think was the issue? Could it be because the funds I was sending then was way higher than what I started with? Someone above is having same issue, your response might be of help to him. |
tosinjay:Last year November, I had same experience; it was my first and got me really confused. Like you, I had to refund their monies even those who I helped send funds the previous day. I called PayPal for the whole week and they issue was same. At a time, if I enter below $20 as the fund I wish to send, it will proceed to the next page for payment confirmation. Anything above that will not go through even if the e-mail is same. I requested for invoice from the sellers same issue. The PayPal CC representative was really helpful though but there was nothing she could do. I removed my card linked to the account, added a different card and tried it after a week and it went through. |
Creating a thread with the names of trusted PayPal fund sellers is not the way out of this, though, a welcome development. The thread will only end up giving undue advantage to some sellers over others. Also, a so called trusted seller today might become a scammer tomorrow after gaining the trust of many client and zone off with their monies. For me, any buyer who wish to buy PayPal fund should try to investigate the seller's NL profile and not asking the seller to send him personal means of identification. Seriously, as a PayPal fund seller myself, I'll not be willing to send you my personal government issued means of identification because you wish to buy funds from me. The document could be used by the buyer for other illegal activities that might even put the seller in more trouble. In summary, research the seller's NL profile for any suspicious act in the past. A person who has been on NL for years with less than 20 comments and wants to sell funds is a potential scammer. A member who just registered about two weeks ago and his first few comments are about selling PayPal fund is a potential scammer. NB: I'm a PayPal fund seller, though, funds are not available presently, hopefully, by first week of next month I should for sale. You can include me in the list if you think I can be trusted. |
JideSM:Hello JideSM, Why are you deliberately ignoring my complaint? Regards. |
J0nyb0y:Have you checked your nearest post office or nipost website? |
Yem0350:I also sent JideSM a PM on a similar issue which has not been responded to. Mine was the first activation which should come with a free 7 days duration. To a more serious issue, JideSM, kindly send me the link to download MTN Selfcare App on BB. I used to have the app some years ago. I sent "CARE" to 5018 but got an invalid keyword. I couldn't also download it from MTN websites and your CC claimed that I can only get the link via text to 5018. 07030187784 Thank you. |
Hello, those who've and use FirstBank Prepaid Visa Card, did you receive a call from FirstBank concerning a need for an update on your account? |
This is good. I subscribed for BBC monthly plan on the first day of this year but discovered that the normal 7 days bonus which is normally added was not added this time. Any help? |
Perhaps, the scam alarm was false after all. |
This is a bad way to start a new year. Read through the thread below, you might find some information that might be helpful. www.nairaland.com/2074362/emmanuel-awaritete-online-fraudster-please |

tugrow:Oh, I didn't see this photo before I posted the comment above. My brother, if you frequent this section and technology section, I believe you should know the guy's name; he is quite popular with scamming. I'll try to dig out some threads about persons if have scammed in the past. In summary, you've been SCAMMED! |
tugrow:Was the 9NGN credit from him or your bank as interest gained for the previous month? |
What's the update? |
aleshsenior2000:Funny! Remind me of the FX thread. Well done Young. |
pretts:Yes, you can. |
Stanley08:There is a similar thread in the section serving same purpose. Don't you think it's tantamount to duplication of thread? |
Singapore1:To look for cards cheaper than their magical cards. |
capspeter:That's actually an understatement! The thread has lost its purpose. Since I became part of this thread, I have always noticed the pattern of behaviour by some elements here; they behave like they've monopoly of knowledge claiming to have access to a magical card that charges far below the official price of the country currency, sadly, in reality, nothing of such exist. |
The purpose of this thread has long been defected. |
winetapper:You're wicked in a good way! |
Bookiemart01:This is my problem with him. When you intentionally decide to ignore your customers and fail to carry them along, you'll be tagged a scamer even if you're not. Perhaps, for certain reasons, he couldn't ship their goods or spent their monies with the hope of recovering it before them start requesting for their goods but his plans didn't work out. Perhaps! Let's assume so, if you explain the situation of things, some customers will still understand and give you time to refund their money or ship their goods but when you ignore them, their only alternative is to come online to seek for help thereby trashing your name and company's image. For all I know, I might just be wrong. |
Lionhearted:I can't give a direct answer to this, but if you've an alternative way of sending money to your suppliers without using your card to pay, you'll likely make more money now that the rate is high and people tend not to be importing. |
