FamilyRe: As A Lady, I'm Tired Of Carrying My Family's Heavy Responsibilities by yemmit90: 7:52am On Oct 25, 2025
Kobojunkie:
By her biological clock, you mean that while she is complaining that she is unable to fend for her current family, and yet to gain financial independence at the same time, she should also be considering how literally add another mouth to the queue for her to feed? Isn't that literally advice that is coming from a place of hate? undecided

2. You have seen many women who struggling to pull themselves and their families about of poverty, and you think insisting they find ways to add to their suffering is the advice to give them ? Why? Have the many men out there with kids successfully fed their kids that you would think to send more women into having more babies into the mix? 🥱🥱
A woman that can feed herself while single can do well in marriage. You talk as if she will be the only one that will shouldered all the responsibilities in the marriage. With understanding family oriented man, she will only support with little she can. Besides, she can't be providing for them forever, like she said, two of them has already done with their studies and currently learning a skill.

If she really love herself, she should not allow her burdens to prevent her growth too.

How will marrying this good man now better her condition at this point and in the future? undecided
Her biological clock matter alot, she can't continue to cater for her siblings, while neglected her marital life. A good man will understand her condition and support her where necessary. She must never be lazy in marriage though.

I have seen many women like that, reason I was advising her not to allow that to prevent her from getting marry at appropriate time.

I don't know if anyone of you can relate to this. But to be truthful, I can't continue taking up these multiple responsibilities anymore.

I'm the oldest of four younger siblings, and we just have one Male among us, who is the Last born. I'm training him in sch, a tertiary institution. The other two girls are already done with their school and are presently learning some skills.
None is contributing anything. I work from Mondays to Sundays without Rest. From house rent to feeding, to medics, transport, sch fees, light bills and others, I do all of them. I make sure I work to earn every penny I make. It is so bad that I don't have any savings. My clothes are worn out cos I can't afford new ones. Also, I can't afford my soap and cream any longer because there are more pressing issues to fix.
The burden has become so much, coupled with stress from work. Sometimes I overthink things and breakdown.
My mum isn't working due to her sight. She's completely Without sight. I had to hire someone to be taking care of her as we all go out for our daily activities.
I'm thinking of asking my younger brother to drop out for now so that the burden can reduce for now, but I don't know how to tell him because I don't know how he would feel. He's already in 200L.. It will break him I know, but I'm trying to cut cost at least for a year first, before he can return back to sch. If this happens, I fear he may take his life, due to the passion he has for sch. He's a very bright student. The most academically sound person in my family.

A lot of pressure is on me. I don't want to do what other girls are doing. I don't want to start sleeping with men for money because I need to protect my dignity as a woman until I'm married. I've turned down a lot of suitors already because I don't want to drag them into my family's struggles and later they start insulting me for being a burden to them. I refused to marry for now because of this.
Life isn't easy and hasn't being easy since the loss of our dad 10years ago.

Sometimes, I stay in my room and cry all through the night. I can't share my struggles with anyone for fear of being mocked and insulted behind my back.
Sometimes I feel like running far away that nobody will be able to see me or even call my lines.
I'm really messed up.
At times, I feel like I should just vanish from the surface of the earth.

I'm just confused.

It is good you are helping them to stand on their feets, may God continue to bless and enrich you with more knowledge and finance.

In whatever you do, don't let it prevent you from getting marry to a good man whenever you are ready. I have seen a situation like that where this sister remains single at the age of 40, when all her siblings she used her prime age to suffer for has all gotten married with kids. Spend on yourself too, look good and get marry in your prime year. If you marry a good man, and you dont become lazy, it won't prevent you from helping them with what you can.

That is very unfair and also unlike a female child. But then, people have an exaggerated image of the absent parent. They will think if he/she were present, all their problems in life would never have existed. Which is not always true and they may never find out. Only few realise the absentee wouldn't have made any difference.

I commend parents that are doing it alone or on behalf of someone else. Step fathers, step mothers, single parents, foster parents and guardians.
You are a very intelligent person, there is obvious mystery behind knowing one biological parents. You mayb nice to a child for 50 years, the moment he discover you are not the biological parent, he will want to find the truth behind his root or existence.

Training another man's children in the name of marriage when he is still very much alive is the most dumbest or senseless thing a man can do.

This is why I keep telling my fellow men never to date single mothers. Her child will never appreciate anything you do for them and the mother will not allow you discipline the child as well.

Single mums are a huge baggage every right thinking man should avoid.
You are 100% right, they are meant for those polygamous Alhajis and chiefs. Normally no right thinking young single man should take up a responsibility from a single mother while her baby dad is still very much alive.

One can manage to marry a young widow with no more than a kid or two but not a single mother whose her husband is still alive.

Not true. The rate new fresh gals take dey flash greenlight these days, no guy get that patience. As one is playing hard to get, another 10 gals wey fine and fresh pass am dey flash green light any where you go. It doesn't work now. Maybe you're referring to low quality men anyway.
Men beg for love❤ too 100%, "being simp or Alpha" as it is popularly called here is just a delusional phrases used to massage men ego.

While it is good to have abundance mentality, there are some ladies that tick all your boxes that you can't afford to lose. Only an immature boy or play boy go after every girl because they are plenty, a man with wisdom carefully select his woman, and go for her irrespective of what it takes.
RomanceRe: Does Hard-to-get Still Exist? by yemmit90: 6:36pm On Oct 22, 2025
Playing hard to get is still very much in existence, forget what men are saying on social medias. A man can do anything to have a woman of his dream, he won't mind to wait or pass through anything to have her.

If you think any girl can't play hard to get with you, it simply means you'd never met the ones you can't afford to let go.

I support it. Let go for referendum like the brexit one in UK. Nigeria may not last 20 years with the way there's ethnic tension everywhere
I said something similar days ago but Nairaland kids as usually started attacking my post with negative assumptions.

Any military coup at this junction will only arose in people the will for self determination. This is not pre 1990 where military will just come and do anyhow. The only reason why Nigeria is still together is because of its political elites who are still benefiting from the rot. Imagine what will happen if people like Tinubu, Obj , Soludo, Kalu, Wike,GEJ, governors, and many others with highly international influence start calling for referendum. Which military government can silent them in this age of civilization.

Nothing is special about his prediction, every smart person who has been into crypto for a while knows what the manipulators are doing now.

They only invested in Bitcoin, LONG and inject more money to pump, them SHORT and remove their money to dump it again. Bitcoin movement all this while is purely artifical and not a real reflection of its natural dynamism, reason it doesn't bring Alts along.

It has never happened in history that bitcoin will move up 500% and alts dump by more than 500%.

Unlike before, people are wise now, until SHORT and LONG feature are removed from crypto market, it will only put more people into serious debt than giving them profit because you can't even make a long time investment in any coin again.

If this trend is not stop, only Bitcoin will remain a cryptocurrency asset that people who has good capital will trade.

No one will notice if we dont attend except Nigerians.

The rest of the world operates on merit as in if you are good, you qualify and thrill the world.

Abi Drogba wan collect contract for Abuja or his woman is Nigerian? grin
Lolz, FIFA or those who understand the importance of Nigeria and her population will never say this. Commercial aspect will suffer for it. Alot of Nigerians do use the opportunity of world cup to travel or subscribe to their pay TV.

Dave Umahi was Ebonyi state Governor in 2023 but couldn't deliver his state to Tinubu/APC. angry

Even his Family members (who knew better) Defied him. smiley

Same with El-Rufai who could not deliver Kaduna to Tinubu. embarassed

So now currently, Can the likes of
*Peter Mbah
*Douye Diri
*Eno Bassey
*Sheriff Oborewvori
Etc, convince their citizens and Deliver their States to Tinubu in 2027?🤔

Drop your Take!🙂
Yes and No.

YES - the governor that is adore by his people can definitely convince them to follow his direction. Besides, it is very easy to rig a state with the consent of governor than withiout his consent.

NO - if the political alignment and beliefs of the people of their state is completely not in direction of their new party. Event at that, a governor will still be able to convince large numbers of people around him.

Oppositions should try as much as possible to stop their governors from decampong to rulling party because they are the financial backbone of every viable political party.

No, the situation is different now, the contemporary world is now all about alignment. The only reason military coup was popular then is because of foreign interest or influence.

Once there is no real interest/influence from a powerful blocs, the other sections of the country that have competitive advantages will be listen to by international community.

Any coup at this point will be the end of Nigeria. We either practice democracy or we go our way. The era of illegitimate northern rule through military coup is over.

Again, President Tinubu needs to fast track the reform of the military. The military must be decentralized with military equipment equally shared to the six regions. The era of over concentration of military weapons in ithe north must come to an end immediately.
Exactly my thought, military can't control Nigeria ever again. People are just too educated and sophisticated to allow military era to stand. That will surely accelerate a peaceful disintegration of Nigeria.

Any bloody coup carry out this period could signify the end of Nigeria. The coup plotters should be very careful and not start what they can't afford to finish.

Nigeria is no longer in early 90's, military government can't control Nigeria ever again.

Hello Nairalanders, I'm seeking advice on a sensitive issue.

After the first round of intimacy with my wife, I often lose interest in going for a second round.

I'm 31, and we've been trying for a child, but I'm worried this might be affecting our chances. Is this normal? Are there any underlying issues I should be concerned about? Should I consult a doctor or a relationship counselor? I'd appreciate any guidance or suggestions.
You need proper understanding of how sex works or lead to pregnancy. As someone looking for a child, you should not even be having sex all the time. You need a proper build up of sperms and make sure your wife is on or around her ovulation period before you have sex.

Besides, one round of sex with your wife is OK except you are a one minute man. If you have good sex, non of you will remember another round, both of you will just slept off and wake up the next day.

That is a stupid, dubious rule calculated to favour some countries
How do you deduct from second placed teams the points they scored against the weakest teams in the group, but you allow the same points for the teams that topped the groups? Why not treat all the teams equally?
That is super corruption and big disgrace to African football/
The rule is rule, learn to deal with that and stop being ruled by emotion. CAF can't remove any team points withiout a clearly stated rule.

Some people deserve to live but die, some deserve to die but live and prosper, life is dynamic, brutal and sometimes domineering. During the war, the innocent and righteous die for the sins of others, not because they deserve to die but because they are unfortunate to be in the war zone. The same traore should not have been president today withiout taking advantage of others.

What useless explanation again, it was stated clearly before taking action, so what else he is expecting CAF to say.

The guy is just looking for attention.
SportsRe: Burkina Faso Leader To CAF: How Did We Miss The Playoff? by yemmit90: 2:12pm On Oct 17, 2025
CAF stated their reason for taking such action, yet some people are still asking questions.

A rule is a rule, and it has nothing to do with emotion. What about South Africa that FIFA removed 3 points and 3 goals from despite the fact that Lesotho did not summit any complaint.

Herbs are not medicine but recipe like the food we eat or supplements. It works wonder in hilling process and give good result in treatment of underline illness. Only an ignorant think Herbs are medicine, while they are actually not. Natural are not harmful, they are like food you eat, the body take vital nutrients from them and pass the rest as weste. The worst a natural Herbs can do to you is "allergic reaction" which can be subdued after a while like any orthodox medicine or normal food.

Majority of Herbs these hawkers are carrying around has been compromised by mixing them with chemicals to give quick result, which place heavy pressure on body organs and subsequently resulted to damage.

I think the most difficult point of this play off for the super eagle is winner the Africa ticket.

They will surely be seeded, and only need to play a match against unseeded inferior team from other continent. Bolivia and Nigeria are likely going to be seeded if we qualified.

They will deduct points each team gets from the particular team that is lowest in their respective group.

For example Nigeria end with 17 points but 2 points was removed from 17 points because Nigeria only get 2 points from the lowest team in Nigeria group Zimbabwe.

So others that are having 22 points, 19 points, those teams got 6 points from the lowest team in their group therefore a team that has 19 points after removing 6 points they go back to 13 points. Nigeria own 15 points is higher.
South Africa draw with Zimbabwe might be a calculated move. If they had won that match, 6 point would've been deducted from them, and they would have dropped below qualification line.

Match fixing is real in football.

"I’m not even extremely driven myself, but I know I want to achieve greatness."

I stopped reading this DRIVEL at this point.

The author is trying to VILIFY her husband for the same thing she's GUILTY of!

She's complaining that an EMPLOYED man goes to bed at 9 PM at night.

9PM!

MADNESS!
Her pains was the fact that he didn't allow her to be carefree with opposite sex she called friends.

I was initially thought the man is jobless, until I read more of her unnecessary ranting. I wonder what drive or ambition she could not pursue alone withiout the input of the so called friends.

Any married woman that is still talking about social circle is not yet mature or ready for marriage.
