Could it be that this union bodies are being greedy or the government is not doing the right thing for them.

Nigeria is not qualifying...unless South Africa loses to Zimbabwe and Rwanda...not going to happen, and we win our next two matches, especially Benin at home

Benin right now is being coached by Rohr, who when he was our coach beat the current coach...when he was the Mali gaffer...at the last nations cup.

And we won't get top second place runners up...Gabon and Madagascar have taken two of the spots...and we have several teams ahead of us.

We should have beaten Zim at home, and South Africa last time. We did not. If we had, I would be singing a different tune.
Let them win their remaining two matches first, eagle are notorious in dissapointing everyone when they are needed the most, don't be surprise they might be even be struggling to beat Lesotho tomorrow.

If we defeat Lesotho and Benin by wide margins, and Rwanda equally beat Benin by few goals, we might have a chance because, Rwanda too will be a serious contender going into final match. Who knows they may beat South African against all odd.

PoliticsRe: If You Were Nigeria’s President For One Week, What Would You Change First? by yemmit90: 1:47pm On Oct 05, 2025
CommentatorPro:
Nigeria is a country blessed with talent, resources, and resilience — yet it continues to struggle under the weight of bad leadership, corruption, and poor governance. From unreliable electricity to the rising cost of living, it sometimes feels like every sector is crying out for help.

Now imagine this: you suddenly become the President of Nigeria — but only for one week. You have full control to make key decisions, sign executive orders, and implement reforms. No bureaucracy, no political godfathers — just seven days to make a difference.

What would you fix first?

Would you focus on the economy, to bring down the price of food and fuel?
Would you tackle security, ensuring that citizens can travel freely without fear of bandits or kidnappers?
Or maybe you’d go straight to education, reviving schools, paying teachers well, and making universities work again?

Some Nigerians say they would start by cutting government salaries and reducing the cost of governance. Others believe the first step should be arresting corrupt politicians and recovering looted funds. A few even argue that constitutional reform is the only real solution to Nigeria’s endless cycle of problems.

Whatever your opinion, one thing is clear — most Nigerians know exactly what they want fixed; they just haven’t had the power to do it.

So, let’s hear from you
If you had just one week as Nigeria’s President, with total authority to act, what’s the first thing you’d change and why?
My one and only mission will be to call for referendum and divide the country into 6 geo-political zone under a weak federal government that is comprises of 12 representatives (2 each) from the 6 geopolitical zones. Each zone with full autonomy and total control of her resources. An offshore oil exploration in Atlantic ocean will be share by all, while each political zone pay taxes to federal government to maintain national security, foreign missions, aviation and national sport commission. A new constitution of each zone shall be determine and write entirely by the masses, political leaders, traditions rulers, professionals, activists, journalists and elder statemen of of each zone.

Non of the zone shall mingle or intervened in the affairs of others, while federal government will have absolutely no power to dictate or control their affairs, except declaration of state of emergency incase of civil unrest within these zones. Each zone Shall comprises of people with the same background, ideology, tradition and history. In the event or places where at least 90% of inhabitants of a zone do not have these in common, another zone shall be created entirely to achieve this aims and objectives

Political power at the regional level shall cease to be in the hands of political leaders but politcal institutions under the supervision of traditional rulers or chiefs, whose only duty will be to convey their people's or community needs to these institutions. A week or two continuous protest withing a zone shall warrant a state of emergency that will requires sacking and prosecution of entire hierarchy of the institution members involved.
Christianity EtcRe: Somebody Brought Poisoned Food To Pastor Adeboye’s House On New Year Day!!! by yemmit90: 9:07am On Oct 05, 2025
How can someone purposefully brought poisoning foods into someone house withiout thinking of being caught or suspected after the person eat it and die?

Wicked people don't go straightforward like that, they do it codedly when no one could suspect or think about them. It could be the person they sent to feed the dog that actually did it or someone else that don't like or want the person that brought the food.
RomanceRe: Marry “I Don’t Care” Or “men Wey No Too Get Sense” – Lady Advises Women by yemmit90: 5:31pm On Oct 04, 2025
10thTenthMan:
But she is correct.

If a man does not care, then he does not bother you.

This is a fact.

The question can then be, ''What type of man goes out, comes back and sees his house in a mess with a wife at home and does not care''?

Show me that man, and I will show you a low value man without discipline. A man without a strong, respectable network of friends. A man without shame. A man without order in his life. A man who does not demand accountability because he himself lacks it. A man she will call a whimp and she will eventually cheat on with someone who demands accountability from her.

As per a man bickering with women, she is also correct.

A sensible man creates boundaries and enforces them, and never renegotiates them. Calling out a boundary MUST NOT INVOLVE Shouting and quarrelling. Don’t get into arguments with her, especially with logic and facts. Tell her once and enforce it. Remove time, remove resources, remove protection, remove provision, remove validation. No reaction/overreaction IS YOUR TRUE WEAPON. But how do you do these things when you do not have value way above her. If you can be easily replaced, then all you have is your self resect. Keep that intact and walk away from a woman who does not respect your boundaries. You are a man and easily manipulated to lose emotional control with someone you are to lead? Don't bring yourself down to that level. Why should I waste energy speaking with logic to a brain and mind run by emotions? Choose your words wisely. Not too much talk. Don’t argue like a child.
So, you didn't see the contradiction in the 'fish brain' writeup right?

Lolz, a man with "I no care attitude" will enter kitchen and cook for his wife? Just go and ask those women that their husbands don't care and see how lonely and sorrowful they are.

Benin and South Africa cant easily win against Rwanda that also have good chance of qualification for the world cup.

The government should better start regulating the prices rental prices. Even Agbor that's a village (if not for okowa), is also calling huge sum for rental. Tell me which company/work dey for Agbor?

Look at Benin City, apart from hotels and bar, which company or big office dey for Benin City? How many people dey work for NPDC? What's even the minimum wage? 😔
Government don't need to regulate anything, all they need to do is to build low cost pent houses for people. If not that those we called governors are stupid, 30 billion naira per annum invested in low cost mini flats would've totally solved housing problems in our urban areas within 20 years.

A 30 billion naira will build portable 6000 pieces of 1 bedroom apartment, Imaging adding 6000 houses together for 20 years, that gives us 120,000 houses. A 120k low cost houses within a state will significantly influence the cost of rent in that state.

The reality is that, Nigeria government at all level has absolutely no regard for the people they are rulling.

Don't blame the landlords (house owners) in Nigeria, blame the tax master President that foisted himself on Nigerians because of Buhari's inefficiency angry

To build a single storey building in Nigeria today requires a minimum of 110million Naira, this does not include cost of buying land.

Now tell me how you want a house owner to recover his investment if after using such exorbitant amount to erect an upstairs and he collects say 800,000 naira per year as rent? It may take him 50 years or more to recover the money he used to build the house?

Nigerians should direct their anger towards the zero performing owomida government of Tinubu.

Landlord also have his own living cost to bear, and the only way he can recoup is through his house for rent angry
Don't let anyone or what you read online deceive you, building materials are not that outrageously expensive as they made you believe, visit market by yourself.

The group might be decide by last matches, Rwanda on 11 points like us can also qualify for WC if they can beat Benin and South Africa. Rwanda is a good team, there is no way Benin will beat them in their home soil, especially now that they are just 3 points behind the leaders.. They can equally cause upset in South Africa because they have something at stake.

Nothing is guarantee in life, not even your children are safe from this situation if nature brings it to you and your husband ( I forbid this for your family). So whatever the position or situation you found yourself, try as much as possible to be kind to humanity.

Children are like a powerful weapon in the hands of a mighty warrior, if you are to offend anyone in life, please don't do it to children, for they know absolute nothing about their sin or responsible for it. This is reason developed countries don't joke with the lives of their children. They are the future, and if you want a good future for the society you must train a child irrespective of their relationship to you. People visited and donate to orphanage, they brings homeless children from the streets and give them lives, but you could not at least be kind to a child under your care just because he is not your child.

Let me tell you this, that child you abhors so much can be the one to give or take lives tomorrow. Mr. A refuse to train a child under him and send him away, he became homeless and joined a bad gang that happened to be hire assassin. Mr. A children are well brough up, educated and rich but unfortunately got robbed by unless boy Mr. A sent to the street and lost their lives in the attack.

The above short story is the reason you need to take care of children under you (if you have the capacity), not only because of them or their future but because of future of your children and that of society at large.

With the poverty rate now at over 85% when only 20 years ago, it was still hovering at about 60%, you would still want us to believe that the outcome for those living in abject poverty in Nigeria remains rosy, abi? Make una continue! 🥱🥱
I understand your point, but sincerely, no one can accurately predict the future, I have seen countless families like that. If the mother is sensible enough, she will see them through. This might look impossible to some of us in this present Nigeria but I will still say if their mother is sensible and work smartly, they will be fine.

If quite a lot of married women whose irresponsible husbands are still alive took care of their children and train them well, there is no excuse for this one except she is lazy and senseless. A fairly use bike can still go for around 400k/500k, let her use this money to start local newly harvests farm produce supply from the Bush narket, she will make alot of profits per trip.

The man chose to get himself a wife and have 5 kids at that. Who else did you expect to have to work hard to ensure those children of his are raised and catered for? 🥱🥱🥱🥱

2. The man is gone and that family is likely not to survive at all as there aren't really a surplus of rich men out there looking to take on 5kids that belong to someone else. His own relatives might not even want to take in any of those kids without some sort of price. The most likely outcome is all 5 may end miserable for the rest of their lives -- tied up to the stone that is poverty all thanks to their father's decisions in life. 🙄🙄🙄

So why are you trying to make it seem it is the man that lost out in all of this and not the children he has and now cannot raise or nurture?
You are wrong by your prediction about them, the outcome of future cannot always be predetermined by the present circumstances.

The chances they will make it or miserable is still 50/50. Alot of things happened along the journey of life that change some people lives for good. If his wife can judiciously use the money realised from the sales of his Bike by venturing into profitable business, they will live ok.

That is a very sad situation, God almight will see them through, reason I always advise people to have less children they can cater for. Men has no business with poverty if not for family settings.

Please try to talk to his wife, either they will give his Okada to someone that will bring money for them daily or sell it to start a business. Advise her to start taking the money to Bush Markets and bring foodstuffs to the city to supply. She can do this with the help of her older children.

Marriage is not for poor and broke men. undecided
Who tell you a man cannot marry as rich and become broke in marriage due to the piling up responsibilities he highlighted up there. You can't know a rich man until he has alot of responsibilities like an average man in Nigeria and still stayed rich.
