FamilyRe: My Husband Gave His Side Chick Car While I Suffer With Our Kids- Woman Cries Out by yemmit90: 8:16am On Sep 06, 2025
Namaster:
That is the difference between an ASSET and a LIABILITY.

A wife is a standing LONG-TERM LIABILITY by every measure. A wife is a constant DRAIN on your resources. Even a "good wife". You'll support her. You'll support her family. You'll entertain her. You'll "upgrade" her.

And the sex is NEVER guaranteed.
In fact, the more you do the above, the LOWER the frequency and quality of the sex.

Wives NEVER want to let their husband think they deserve sex because of ALL their husbands have done.

Meanwhile, the GF on the other hand needs LITTLE maintenance. And pleasure flows from her.

If a side chick dies on Friday, the man would take his family to the wedding ceremony of a third cousin without missing a beat.

By the following Friday, another Side Chick would have taken her place.

Plus, this woman phrased it as "suffering with 2 kids" like it's not the man that drives them around. She made it sound like the man NEVER takes them anywhere.

Finally, she didn't "think much of it" because the car is likely over 15 years old with more than 5 years on Nigerian road. It's OLD and DOWNTRODDEN.

In fact, I can GUARANTEE that the current market value of the car is LESS than what the man has spent on his wife this year.
Whoever marry someone like you has already enter a big one chance. Your reasoning is dangerous, not only to you but to entire people who might be taking advise from you.

A good wife is never a liability but rather a long time asset. A good wife is a valuable treasure to her husband, a home builder and a guardian of peace.

Even if you must cheat on her, it must be the deepest secret you should hold close to your heart. No woman in your life should deserve more than her. Only a foolish man will gift a car to a side chick, while the mother of his children treak around with his blood.

This one na small pikin.
Na you no smart or dull, i hate people that cannot read and understand. Afeez has been around for decades no one denied that, but that doesn't mean he is popular than that lady. Non Yoruba and new generation known Toriola more than afeez. In Yoruba movies industry, don't ever compare the popularity of those ladies that speak fluent English and has featured in some English dramas to those Yoruba legend actors, in which Afeez is part of. Ask an average non Yoruba or genz who doesn't watch Yorba movie whose Afeez or Ogogo or Dele Adule is, and ask them about Iyabo Ojo, Eniola badmus or even same Toriola.

Wat are u saying? How is wumi popular than owo? When did Wumi start acting? How many oldies know her name compared to Afeez Owo.
Owo has been acting since the 90s with Funmi Martins. So when funmi died ,Afeez was the only one available for the little Mide martins then. Wumi can't lace Afeez shoes. Who's she??
Rest baba, that lady is 100% popular and well known by both old and new generations than Afeez Owo. You can only compare her with Mide Martins and not Afeez. Both Mide and Toriola are well known by non Yorubas and new Generations than Afeez, and that gives them a little edge over him.

If this is all a disagreement over contract terms and conditions and if it is not the case of the contractor collecting money and not performing, then EFCC should stay out of it. Contractual disagreement should first go to arbitration as always provided in such contracts and if that fails, the aggrieved party should go to court instead of using state powers to intimidate the other party.
If you read second to the last paragraph of his quote very well, you will easily see the reason they invited EFCC in the matter.

1. He accepted that till this moment, he is still with the project, while in reality he has stopped working on it for long.

2. He accepted he still owed them something, which is quite contradict to his claim of poor pricing.

3. He also said the matter have been taking to court, which mean, the state government has already used right channel to approach the issue before taking the matter to EFCC.

Lastly, EFCC are not daft, if the matter is not within their jurisdiction, they would've stay off. Let him go and answer them, who knows he might be innocent at the end of the day.
PropertiesRe: Tenant Disappears After Selling Landlord’s Duplex For ₦83 Million by yemmit90: 5:22pm On Sep 05, 2025
OkanlawonB:
It advisable only to build a house with multiple units if it is intended for rentals, it will be difficult for multiple tenants to connive and sell off a landlords property.

if you must rent out a fully detatched house , one need find e special means to prevent this sort of occurence to happen.

In the developed World where property registry are kept up to date such can hardly happen.
You are wise, the same would have happened to many people but there is no way these criminal tenants can do it if there are two or more tenants in the compound.

It is the mumu buyer I blame, if you want to buy a house, the first thing you do is to locate landlords association chairman or key members in the same community to inquire. Maybe he just arrive the country or a foreigner who thought he can see house online, checked and pay.

If market women tell you 10k, just cut it to 3k and see their reaction first. If the true value is 4k or 5k, they will say ok pay 7k last. At this point tell them you are there to buy and not just price, that all you can afford is 4k. If the price is indeed 5k, they will begin calling God that themselves no get it at that price. Say OK "mummy" I will give you 5k ma.

PropertiesRe: Ebonyi Bans House And Land Agents by yemmit90: 11:43am On Sep 04, 2025
I don't really blame the agents but properties owners who gives their their properties. Some owners are even collecting agent fee, damages and agreements now. That says, even in the absent of agents, some greedy property owners will still collect all this money from prospective tenants.

Nigerians are special breed of humans capable of inflicting pains on other for personal gains.

KudozInteriors:
Good day everyone

I have a 3.5kva hibrid inverter with a 5kw lithium battery. I only have 4pcs of 550 watts mono solar panels for now and will get 4 extra as soon as it possible.

I currently want to get a small inverter or Solar deep freezer between 100L to 200L.

Please which or do I go for to serve me best?

Also, is it better to get a solar freezer or an inverter freezer?

Thank you so much.
3.5kva inverter is more than enough to power 100
200L or 310LThermocool inverter freezer.

You have no business with solar freezer again since you already have inverter and battery. Go for Thermocool inverter freezer, I can quarantee you about it.

CareerRe: Nestle Fires CEO Over Office Romance by yemmit90: 12:29pm On Sep 02, 2025
Houseontherock1:
You are either pretending like you don't know what goes down around here or you speak in ignorance. With due respect, I am certainly not speaking from a point of ignorance. The reality is that no organisation in Nigeria officially condones office romance, and indeed, many CEOs and top executives have resigned or been dismissed as a result of such situations. That said, it would be misleading to suggest that office romance does not exist in Nigeria. On the contrary, it is quite prevalent, even within multinational corporations operating here. The distinction is that while these organisations strictly enforce workplace ethics in other countries, the Nigerian environment often allows for a more relaxed attitude due to weak enforcement mechanisms, poor work ethics and other systemic issues. My contribution is therefore based on observable realities, not assumptions. It is important that when we engage in discussions of this nature, we do so with a balanced perspective rather than dismissing other viewpoints as a lack of exposure. I'm in HR, I'm more aware than you.
You are the one that don't understand my post, no one says it doesn't exist, all I was saying in my reply to you is that, no organisation or company condone with office romance, the after match is usually dismissal like it is being doing in developed countries.

The only reason why it seem different in this part of the world is because, those involves might be the owner of the business or individuals that ought to impose such disciplinary actions. And in most cases, the ladies involves might not even reported the case, hence, there might be no vital evidence to use against them. For instance, you don't expect a business owner who is caught dating his worker to resign or leave his business, likewise you don't expect authorities in public sectors or public companies to just sack withiout concrete evidences to back it.

I have seen and read about many top ceo and professional persons that were sacked or simply step down as a result of their sexual conduct with their subordinates. So, why are you generalising as if it is totally not doing in Nigeria?
CareerRe: Nestle Fires CEO Over Office Romance by yemmit90: 7:41am On Sep 02, 2025
Houseontherock1:
That poster is right! Let's be sincere- office romance is very common in Nigeria regardless of what the organization says about it. If this happened in Nigeria, the boss would have retained his job, the woman would have been rude to everyone because of her relationship with the boss, the job would have suffered and nothing would have happened
That is only when the boss is owner of the company or the top executives that have power to sack has not being brief and provided with genuine evidence.

No organisation or company condone with that in Nigeria. Countless top CEO has been sacked or step down because of office romance. You guys should be more expose before contributing in this kind of discussion in public.

EducationRe: Looming Crisis In Universities: Professors Earn ₦633,333, Senators '₦21 Million' by yemmit90: 7:11pm On Aug 31, 2025
Mindlog:
Politicians selling their properties and taking huge loans for elections, is not sacrifice but "investment" and they intend to recoup all they spent, in many folds through misappropriation of public funds at the expense of the lives of millions of Nigerians.

I am employed by a London borough (local government), the head of my unit as a civil servant earns more than a UK MP (equivalent to Nigeria's senator), not to talk of the CEO of the borough whose salary is more than twice of what Kemi Badenoch earns as an MP.
Nigeria politics is different to UK politics, be realistic please. The dynamism and prerequisite of politics in this country will never allow office holders to be less corrupt. You don't expect someone to spend 200m naira to get to the office and be giving him 1m per month for just 4 years. He/she will definitely steal to recouped all money spent plus profits.

Until Nigeria dish out presidential system of government and embrace regionalism with unicameral representatives at the centre, we can't move forward a bit as a country.

Stop rigging elections. Allow votes to count and select the right people to lead
There is nothing like right people as far as Nigeria politics is concerned. Let stop deceiving ourselves that there are right people in Nigeria. The current political structure or arrangement will never ever allow anyone to perform excellently.

Besides, no government will give them the kind of salary being paid to their counterpart abroad in Nigeria. Where will such government get money to do so for all unproductive government workers?

The same Professors you are defending will not think twice to throw entire youths or students under the boss if Government ask them to increase school fees and get more pays.

But they earn reasonably enough in those countries to live in comfort.

What a Nigerian Professor earns in a monthl cannot even pay for his flight ticket , if he is to attend academic conference abroad.

Still studying towards my Professional Doctorate and working full-time with my Msc, what I earn in one and half day of work (net pay), is more than what a Nigerian Professor earns in a month....it is really sad.
If we are to be fair enough or be realistic, we shouldn't be comparing what senators earned with that of university professors.

Senators are elected for a limited period of time, and aside that, it cost a fortune for someone to contest in elections in this part of the world. Some of these people sold their properties and took up huge loan to get to that position. They spent alot of money for protection, and some don't even enjoy their lives with their wives and children. They sacrifice alot to earned the price.

I don't even subscribe to idea of increase salary, just make life be bearable to an average Nigerian. Food should be the cheapest or least thing a modern man should be worrying about. It should in abundance that a 10 days pay of an average worker should be enough to pay off his/her bills for a month.

1. I am afraid those particular delusions are born of your religious and traditional entanglements and nothing more. There is nothing remotely natural about what is the result of brainwashing courtesy of religious/traditional delusions held over time by people and societies. undecided

2. Again, these ideas are products of your particular religious/traditional delusions. undecided

3. Osinachi is a case that basically trashes every claim you made regarding women. At least acknowledge that aspect of her life or religious sacrifice. undecided
You never address the subject matter Kobojunkie, perhaps I should put it in a simple term. You need fundamental knowledge about nature to fully understand the basic tenet of human nature.

If religions/traditions were not part of the fundamental principle that shaped the formation of societies, how did humans became homosapien capable of creating societies?

Kobojunkie:
Exactly! Submission, nurturing, etc., are not natural to women the same way they are not natural to men. undecided

2. You're accusing Osinachi of having cheated on her Christian husband, or what? huh
Men are the heads by nature or default, women are are the subordinate by nature. If men are to be brutal or decided to shun modernity/humanity, women would still be regards as gifts or sign of affluence by men like olden days. It is natural for a woman to recognise this law of nature in her man, and in a situation whereby the said man lack these qualities, she began to look for a man that can offer them or cheat on him if she can't outrightly replace him.

However, women are integral and most important part of society that makes it works. Women are weak sex, and should be protected by law, because, failure to do so may make them to be endanger species to men.

As for Osinachi, I can't say, and I don't think i have business with her or how she chose to spend her life.

Commercial banks now as per personal/consumer loan is 35%. Then add 1% Management Fee, 1% Advisory Fee and 1% Insurance Fee, all upfront. This brings the total percentage to 38%.

There's another catch, if you're applying for their loans via their app, monthly rates quoted are between 3.5 - 4.2%. It's sad.
They are still better, those loan apps charges Nigerians 19% per month on loan.

For you to be successful with loan in Nigeria this period, you need to do a business that fetch you extra ordinary profits.

If fertilizer is free it will be abused.
If fertilizer is dirt cheap it will be smuggled out for brisk business.

Farmers are not just a special breed of Nigerians.
They are the same Nigerians you know, the same Nigerians you meet everyday and the same Nigerians you complain about.

The government, if they're serious about food security, should start by securing Benue state and other native agrarian communities where indigenes live in farmsteads and plant and harvest without bothering anyone about incentives.

If these farmers are not free to farm and have their harvest secured from the rampaging, ubiquitous futa jallon wanderers, then all government talk about food security is pure hogwash.

The government should fix transportation infrastructure and make storage and export seamless.

That's what the Nigerian farmer needs and not government handouts that would appeal to and awake the greedy spirit in him.
You are 100% right sir, reason I mentioned the provision of security in my previous posts. Provision of modern storage facilities will go a long way in helping farmers in curbing unnecessary wastage of farm produce.

However, don't you think that proper orientation of farmers on the need to sustain their farms with government provisions instead of pursuant of short gain by selling it off is necessary? Besides, the cost of production in the farms now is too high that even if farmers produce in large quantities, the price of foods will still be on a high side withiout any form of government assistance.
