Canada makes sense.
A caregiver in Canada earns an average $C45, that is Canadian dollar(#550 Naira exchange rate) per hour, so if you work an average 7-8hours per day, do the math &that's what you earn, imagine you do this for a week, then month You're better off in the next couple of years (2years working Visa), then gets a Permanent Residency afterwards. The cost of living is what is missing in your equation. Even if you earn $C45 per hour, it's not about just converting to naira because the country's expenses are much higher relative to expenses in Nig, and then factors like tax etc. |

Jman06: One serious problem we have in this country is the issue of AGE DISCRIMINATION. Despite being a backward nation in dire need of increased productivity cum development, we still discriminate against people of certain age and hinder them from actively working and participating in nation building.
Imagine someone who's just 40 years asking this kind of question, clearly believing that at 40 he has grown too old to travel out. I don't blame op though, it is the kind of mentality people have here.
Whereas the whiteman would open up his labor market for different age groups (except of course, the very vold and frail), the black nations would come up with some unfounded theories to stop or discourage people from working and aspiring to achieve greater heights on the grounds of age. Tell me why we won't continue to be underdeveloped.
My point is, Nigerians should learn to jettison any cultural practices, believes or rules that discourage people from working and aspiring for greater heights at any ages! All these organizations that restrict people of certain ages from working for them (eg banks) should be seriously sanctioned. If we can have people in their 70s get elected as presidents of the country, then we should not discriminate against people of same age brackets that still want to work in any organizations. Let's learn to fire from all cylinders in our quest for development! Ageism isn't just a Nigerian issue, the only difference is that Nigerian companies have the effontery to state it in black and white. In other countries, it cannot be blatantly stated due to laws but they certainly practice it notwithstanding. |

You can imagine the condition people from that side of Kaduna have been subjected to. Human life is worth more than anything no matter the tribe or religion you belong to. Don't mind them. Segeazy: Lagbaja ( m, do, do.) Means Lagbaja, but your own pronounciaton is M,m,m, which is a masquerade musician. Lagbaja is not a typical Yoruba name nor a masquerade's name. It's a generic word used to describe anyone in a conversation with no specific subject. Lagbaja is just like using every Tom, Dick and Harry in your conversation, it refers to no one even though there are people who bear this names. It is often used alongside Tamedu. It is used as an example. Example - Lagbaja mo orin ko Tamedu mo ijo jo, ewo ni wo le se. Interpretation - This one can sing, that one can dance, which one can you do? Yes, exactly. |
Politics › Re: Profile Of Maj-Gen Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, Chief Of Army Staff by yewit37486: 11:41am On Jun 20, 2023 |
Segeazy: No, Yoruba uses signs to differenciate the pronounciaton, Lagbaja m, do, do.which is the name of the man. But the one you pronounced is M,M,M. Interesting. The only Lagbaja pronunciation I'm aware of is the M,M,M and that's the name of the singer. |

FreeStuffsNG: There's merit. That new IG was a Lecturer at Yabatech before pursuing a career as a Police officer.
He finished his first degree in Mathematics from UNILAG and Masters in same UNILAG yet took all those qualifications to join police. That he is even in that picture says a lot about how formidable and excellent he is. He must be extremely brilliant and hardworking to be on the team of Asiwaju. The policeman in the picture is the current Oniru and he was the orderly of Asiwaju Tinubu.
Asiwaju goes for talents and retain them. So, when are they going to retain you? |

GeneralPula: Lol..
Rara oo..
Lagbaja is a name & not a masquerade o
A normal typical Yoruba name!
The masquerading dressing of the popular music legend - Lagbaja is only a style I guess, it has nothing to do with his name! You know every musician got their own unique style! I thought Lagbaja is used to represent a generic person, someone. Think that was how the expression 'Mr Lagbaja' came about when talking about an unknown person. |

INSTANTCASH345:

Senator Akpabio is a crook and corrupt individual that shouldn’t be allowed to smell the SP sit.
That being said,The APC NEC should meet with all its senators to come up with a better option from the south East other than Urji Uzo Kalu, the thief.
The SE is even inconsequential when it comes to national politics and therefore, should never even get the SP position.
They should consider the SW for the SP.
When Buhari was president in the first regime who is for the North, Saraki also was SP who was also from the North.
So,having a SP from the west isn’t a bad idea if the EAST AND SOUTH ARE NOT COMPETENT ENOUGH.
When last did we have a Senate president from the South West? Don't worry, they will even consider you, right after you repent from tribalistic comments. Politics of hatred and division all over the place, can you guys just give it a break!! |
