I have a friend who did introduction/engagement four times; his father did not attend the fifth one (2008) because he'd always concluded that dude was the problem and didn't want further embarrassment. My Experience

I am pretty, well kept and groomed and at an age where although I may not be a spring chick, I am still young enough to attract attention from guys in their early 20s who have no qualms about toasting their elder sister's age mates. I have had my fair share lovers but I am currently sworn off men till such a time I recover from the trauma of my latest experience in the hands of the 'ejaculating gender.'

He has this folder in his laptop called 'Don Quixote.exe' which I see all the time. I yelled, screamed, cussed, threw his ring into the toilet and flushed it. I ordered Uber to my parents house that night and spent 25th chopping breakfast with tears.

Two years, with a bi-sexual man. Or maybe he is gay himself. I don't know. He has been begging me not to expose him to his family, but it's too late. I have told my family and they intend to formally let his family know that their daughter cannot marry a 'confused' man, as my father says.

What do men want?! Two years of my life, plus all the wedding expenses, gone down the drain. I am so heart broken and humiliated.

I don't want to say men are scum because I have a wonderful father and loving brothers, so I will leave it. I'm done with men.

I had this binge way back as a teenager, I had just started drinking and didn't know how dangerous what we were doing was. I almost passed out and was admitted and given drips for days. Till date, that incident made me have a phobia for drinking spirits.

I'm a young hard work guy who's planning to settle down someday. I have a girlfriend whom I have gone to see her family with my own family , as in, we have done our introduction, what was remaining was for us to fix a date for our wedding.

But this girl started showing some nasty attitude. There was a day she came to spend weekend with me and I gave her some money to buy some food stuffs to cook, that day i received the greatest shocke of my life , my fiancee warmed me never to send her message like that again that she is not my slave.

As if that was not enough. Another day she came to spend some days with me but when she got to my house I was not at home that day. She went to the bathroom to get some shower but unfortunately there was no water running in the bathroom because we didn't had light for 2days so we couldn't pump water. Normally when there's no water like that we usually fetch from the next compound. Though I live in a room and parlour self contain with water running in my kitchen and bathroom.

To cut the long story short, my fiancee refused to fetch water for herself to take her shower. She had to call me on phone to come home and fetch water for her to take her shower. When I eventually got home at late hour, I took the bucket went to fetch water for her to bath just for peace to rain. I later asked her why she had to call me to come and fetch water for her to bath knowing fully well that I was not around. She said in her house, she does not fetch water that her dad usually call Aboki's and buy water from them. She told me that she can't leave a suffering life of having to fetch water, she can never do it.

Please nairalander is this a good sign or bad sign to watch out for?

@OP: Don't mind anybody saying you are a mumu. There's nothing WRONG with you pampering your woman when she rejects your demand of her going to the market; there's also nothing WRONG in you fetching water for her to have her bath; infact, there will be nothing WRONG if she asks you to please help her wash her undies, afterall, she's the love of your life; she can even ask you to dump your family, there's nothing WRONG in doing so, if that's what she really wants.
