My little advise to you sir is stop worrying about the loan, they have tarnished your image enough, don't pay anything, they won't come for you at some point they will end up not calling you again, then focus on building yourself and income, my 1 cent from saving you from disaster, Nigeria sef Dae owe China, China never send message give, put your self together
Please, don't follow this advise because you will still have a default entry with the credit bureau and you don't want your livelihood more damaged by that.

Rather, address their crime of tarnishing your image in court so that you are also free from any listing as a bad credit against your name by the money lender to the bureaus, if the judgement is in your favor which I believe should be if your have a good lawyer make sure to monitor that this happens.

When you borrow your record is with bureaus. If it's bad it can affect other areas of your life, like getting more loans from an even better creditor, passports issuance and Visas, travelling engagement and other things you may not see now.

But that aside.

When taking a loan. The best time to take it is when you don't actually need it and you have the capacity to pay it ten times over. It sounds counter intuitive but there's wisdom in it. It allows you to choose a better lending institution with better rate, comfortable duration and good repayment plan.

That also aside, let talk about the psychology and state of mind when living with the need to pay your loan at the back of your waking and unconscious mind. It can be draining, but you can not get more worried than worried, so no need to be. It doesn't help any party if you're worried, put a plan to paper to plan to pay and live your life.

Make a actually calculation of how much you are expected to pay. Itlf you don't meet it and you have already borrowed just apportion a percentage to clear it that is higher than the late fee they will charge.

Guy live, don't let anyone pressure you to live or die.

As for the people unwilling to hear you out, when they are interested in knowing tell them your story if they will listen otherwise let them alone.

They will not know when you pay it all up they only save up memories of when you defaulted. These activities happen. This is real life.

If you decide to still worry, you will still find out that it is vain to worry... They will be very little things that will scare you. What will happen will happen.

It is the intention that counts. But put your mind in the right place by entering agreements which give you peace of mind.

Subsidywise20:
The problem with subsidy is the nature of the beast.

Here is how subsidy works. Because of changes in the price of crude oil, the price of petrol , normally, changes as a result. If crude oil prices are high, petrol prices rise, and if they are low, petrol prices fall as well.

Subsidy means that the government sets the price of petrol...and pays money to the petroleum sector called a subsidy. This subsidy roughly speaking covers the resulting loss made in keeping prices low.

Problem is, as the price of crude rises, so does the cost of the subsidy. Last year, landing cost of crude was N231, oil was at 80 dollars a barrel. Now it is over N700, oil is at 120 dollars a barrel. Meanwhile price of petrol at the pump is at N165 since 2020. As you can see, we have gone from paying less than N200 per liter as subsidy to N600 per liter as subsidy in one year. (Thanks to Russia and Nato).

And over the last seven years, we had to take loans galore because oil revenues were too low for our population. So, we have a heavy debt service burden ..ie paying off the loans. Meanwhile any extra money is going into the subsidy...and it is going in at a very high rate...to the point that NNPC can no longer remit funds to the government, after debts and subsidy costs have been paid.

Guess where they would turn to get the money for subsidy? Other sectors of the budget...and when they run out...another round of loans.

That's why subsidy has to go. It costs too much to feed it. GEJ did not save enough because he was feeding the subsidy monster. At worst there would be a period of high prices...but the value of the naira would improve somewhat, and when domestic refining gets better as a result....we may earn more income. It does not mean we would achieve economic prosperity, but we would be better off than we are now eventually.
In addition to that, I hear that vested interest in the petroleum/oil business inflate the volume of oil sold to draw more money than they out to in subsidy payment.

Regulation, monitoring and enforcement is a problem in this country... We need actionable checks and balances embedded in a SYSTEM. SYSTEMs are independent of governments of the day. The objectives are clear and technocratic in nature, result based.

Removing subsidy will also remove that mode of siphoning money from FG for free buy ensuring that the population pay the true price of oil and automatically there's a check and balance for the true quantity that population consumes because that payment would be made at the point of sale.

That's a step...

We can crash the price further by managing leakages by whatever mode... Vandalism, theft, etc

Population will enjoy a better pricing...

Then the main price crasher will be to grow home based refining from the crude oil level at mining to finished product stages. It still beats me how a country will sell crude for pennies on the dollar and allow itself get affected by pricing by countries who refining crude and get not just gas/petrol but AT LEAST 17 factions from crude oil.(17 because that was what that Ababio Chemistry Textbook quoted as at 2004, so by now research in that area and material science would reveal other useful factions obtainable from crude oil)

Thinking about it...

Wax
Paraffin,
Wax,
Coal tar,
Bitumen,
Ashpalt,
Plastics,
Petroleum Jelly,
Gas,
Diesel,
Kerosine,
Gasoline...etc

The prices of all those among the 17 factions are directly affected right from the selling stage of crude... Meanwhile we make so much fuss about
oil, diesel and aviation fuel because they seem the most conspicuous demand, meanwhile just by manufacturing and acing the process right at home several big industries all at once can get huge relief from artificial additional costs of these things.

I have come here to raise this issue because i believe someone must have passed through what i am going through at the moment.

There is this Lady i met in March, she is super classy and has all the curves and looks like a model. What brought us together was just a friendly convo and a friendly tease that i admire her nails and since then she has been all over me.
She asked me if i lived alone and i told her i currently stay with a friend because i just relocated to the city based on job hunting levels. She asked what my plan was and i told her that i would like to first get an apartment while i sort out other things.

I don't know what exactly she does for a living although she said she sells women hairs, bags and shoes. I have actually seen her post them on her whatsapp. What surprise me the most was that she doesn't deny me access to her phone. This made me to loosen my grip a bit regarding my phone privacy ... Then one day, she saw a loan app message requesting me to pay my outstanding debt, she asked me how come and i told her the truth that i was seriously broke and i wanted to take her out. I wanted the two of us to go swim together and have fun. And that was why i took the loan. She frowned and asked why i was stressing myself to impress her .
She transfered some money to me to offset the debt. it all happened like juju. i am still trying to wrap my head around that.

I am trying my best to fit in with her but something is really off somewhere. I don't want to assume i know entirely what she does for a living but then, i have grown to really admire her. I wouldn't want to call it love but all my thoughts are always about her nowadays. Like 4 days ago i questioned her about some friends of hers i saw on her icloud and since then she has been giving me tough time.

Lately, she told me point blank that if i cant get my own apartment, she'll have to stop dating me. she said she is ready to even pay part of the money involved but a nigga got nothing to afford even a face me and face you room. I have tried my best to explain to her how i am even surviving and how broke i am to get a 150k self con. She keeps saying i am going to get a job and ill be fine, that i am a man and i will certainly raise the money if she as a lady can raise part of it.

I dont know why she believes so much in that tho cuz i have been very opened to her. My mind has been filled up and i dont have anyone to share it with thats why i brought it here. i have my doubts about her but i love her.

Please pardon any typos, i am writing this straight from my heart
Mind if I can see your CV?

Congratulations! You probably escaped a toxic boss/work. And double congratulations for leaving a marriage that would probably have caused your death.

Cry and let the pain heal. You'll get another job.
The reason why such kind of people need to see the courts as often as possible is that it is possible he is not the boss or one overall. It is possible he is just a representative of that business like any other personnel employed. Even if that weren't the case, such persons deserve their day in court.

What's there, is it not to come and prove whether the judgement call he made was right or wrong?

Infact, by the time well meaning organizations that are smart see a lawsuit coming, the organization will distance itself from the behavior of that person before it goes any further with a fair settlement.

The escape is not enough to deter a personal attack which has nothing to do with an interview process.

What I was saying goes deeper than building a tough skin. A lot of people have a tough skin -- they look strong and intimidating on the outside but they are very weak underneath all that facade. I actually meant building a tough core -- strengthening what's beneath that skin.

Anyway, regarding your comment, I'm not saying that we should ignore people when they act wrongly. I was saying that we shouldn't let people get to us too easily, that we shouldn't take what just anyone says too personally.

In fact, if OP had a stronger core, she would've been able to stand up to him and call him out on his nonsense. If Nigerians had a stronger core, they would stand up for what they deserve instead of being taking advantaged off.
I understand you...

tough skin, tough core, every every... "tomaeto" "tomato", I agree, I'll give you that.

However, my focus is in the accountability component. it is such that even if someone didn't have a tough core, it's an obligation to seek a redress for that wrong or injustice because it is even more critical than whether or not the victim is enjoying the benefit of a tough core.

In reality, some people still sue even after they have cried from the effect of not having a tough core. Some are very poker-faced or indifferent about it probably because they have understood humans to have these biases and require the need for the checks and balance and still sue.
Sue them regardless, let them prove their innocence in a court of competent jury.

I'm telling you, when you build a strong foundation with yourself, such remarks won't hurt you at all because you know who you are

That woman needs to stop seeking external validation and validate herself instead. When she does that, remarks like the one that man made won't hurt her one bit

I'm speaking from experience
I agree that building a tougher skin is beneficial in the workplace generally, infact, even more so for the legal, law enforcement and other seemingly laissez-faire and easy-on-the-eye professions.

However, that interviewer needed to be held accountable for that comment because it obviously had an effect on the process which shouldn't have been the case.

Because one can take a beating doesn't mean the person should collect one or any unwarranted. Humans have a right to personal dignity and self preservation. If you encourage the process by not doing anything always and walking away simply because you can take a beating and have developed tough skin. The situation will continually get worse, your side of the business will not get respected and yet you be on the losing side, he perpetuator will be emboldened to repeat that same uncivilized act on another and another, until one person (it will take one person to give him the hell he deserves and desires) and that person can be the victim (a first person victim/stakeholder) to address that development.

The psychology behind this is why Electric Distribution Companies will estimate bills and give to citizens of their own country for a month period whereas little or no power was given in that area within that time. Yet no proof that there was power supplied that reached the client to demand for such. Meanwhile, I see non Nigerian win access to express their human right and goodwill of Nigerians more than the citizens in thier own home country. I cannot deny the immigrants their right because it's inhuman and non-conduct to do so, so why should legitimate children of the house suffer more than the visitors/neighbours'?

Isn't paying NGN 4000 ridiculous for a total accumulated estimate of 2 days(could have been less) of electricity for a month period?

But because the other party has tough skin you always walk away. Don't you see who is perpetually losing here (and it's one-sided)? Is the victim of that injustice that rich to be paying for 93% darkness? That there means that it is equivalent to EDC providing a darkness delivery service to the members of the public to purchase almost total darkness for NGN 4000. Now why would you want to buy darkness when you can get it for free? The service or objective of the business agreed upon by both partners in the business is to provide power. If one party pays and there's no commensurate power provided, that is injustice. Redress should be sought. If it is not important why then does EDC insist that you must pay what you owe? Why can't they develop thick skin like you have been doing and walk away so that there will be a balance?

Imagine if the other party were a business, you think it would be abnormal to seek redress asap? Some will not even ask, straight to court. Civil or criminal case.

We don't see these thing as business entities else all the nonsense happening in this country will reduce.

The other time one alledged Police officer harrassed, illegally arrested hence kidnapped someone close at Farm City open 247 in Lagos late at night, person was female and was alone, I guess considered her perfect prey. In addition to that he illegally detained and extorted (a theft) (at least 5 count charges against him already) a huge sum from his victim a citizen for goodness sake... Meanwhile, some Indians and Chinese are gaining access to your country, skipping extensions of stay and even worse overstaying in the same country and walking freely without a legitimate checkmate...

This is also from experience, check their wrong behavior, demand that equity of service both parties are entitled to and sniff the life out of that injustice period. Get treated badly? ask for instant redress, don't keep shut, infact what the worse that can happen... Pull a cost-benefit analysis on this. Even if the payment is death, they will never forget the struggle prior. Don't give them the benefit of an easy win always, you don't even have to win.

A snippet of an example of what I am talking about here https://www.instagram.com/p/CcfkWudrdGT/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=

Madam overstayed, tenable to the charges, her case is perculiar but still it doesn't give one the right to treat her like you like. It's her human right and what professional conduct demands, meanwhile this is while she maybe in the wrong and it's not because she's American, if the institution party of the business is accountable the individual client has to be defended and demand justice and hopefully get justice. So why subject your citizen to torture, same torture that cycles back to you after affecting a whole lot of people undeserving.

Well, I get your point. Now that I think about it, there are people who thrive in their work place even though they are toxic romantic partners

However, the fact that she was so deeply hurt by such words said by a complete stranger says a lot about her. She needs to build a strong foundation

Anyway, I'll edit my previous comment
That hurt happened because it was a personal information and emotional one too for that matter.

It's the same harrasment vibe that is given off when one is "unnecessarily" probed and poked for not getting married at the workplace. That sphere should be about competence and the job except in cases where the job description strictly depends on the marital status or a specific martial status is required for that quota and it can be proven that otherwise would affect the performance of that job role.

When these things are done, the Occupational health and safety of the workers/employees are undermined. If that's for already working personnel, how much so for a potentially qualified candidate?

In fact, where I feel some personal details have nothing to do with a job role I will decline to answer. HOWEVER, it is important to ask if your answer affect your job role (even if the answer you get is a lie you should ask that first as a precaution). For goodness sake you will work for them and they'll have to pay you for your service too, hence the interview can't be one way. It's also an active negotiate arena too. Don't let anybody bully you out of your right.

Questions like are you a christian? Or what religion do you practice...

Marital status I will likely answer ( I mean HMO info from there right)

Etc.
CareerRe: Some People Kill With Words by yongg:

No offense, but he wasn't wrong. Let me explain

Our past experiences say a lot about us. Your divorce showed you that you have problems with yourself that you need to sort out. And so does your former partner.

Don't see that as a bad thing. See it as a good thing - a good opportunity to reflect on yourself and work to become the best possible version of yourself.

Once you do this, no one's words will ever hurt you like the way that man's word hurt you, because then, you will know who you are and you wouldn't need other people to validate your worth.
The comment made by the interviewer does not go in line with what you say...

If the interviewer has the freedom to make a business decision in a partnership where there is undermining antagonisms why does he now have a problem with that freedom being exercised in an emotional partnership where there are no hard metrics as found in business and that is not his concern?

So the OP left, what was the rationale for him to deny her because she chose to leave her partnership. What information did he evaluate to judge her that way? What knowledge of actual emotional, social and other investments does he have to have reached that conclusion in a private matter...

Sis, that man should be paying you 2 years worth of work insurance for that statement NSITF, offer an apology, or settle you out of court or resume the interview and guarantee you that position anyway... Because there is nothing that can prove that any denial he may want to claim would be because he found you inadequate due to core needs but based on your marital circumstance.

Three days ago I received an sms from a company where I dropped my C.V close to two years ago. I went through it and low and behold, it was an invitation for an interview yesterday being Saturday. I was happy really. I prepared well for it, cancelled my supplying business appointment. I do a supplying business while looking forward to a good job opportunity. So, I woke up quite early dressed up and left for the venue. I got there around 8:10am while the interview was scheduled to hold by 9:00am.

I got to the venue and met two persons who was there for the same reason. Before it was 8:50am the whole place was filled up with others who also came for the same interview.

Finally, the interview that was scheduled to hold by 9:00am started around 11:30am. It then got to my turn, I went in and met three persons in there, one man and two young ladies. Then the man started the interviewing questions and I was giving out an impressive answers, while one of the ladies tried asking me a question, the man now cut in and ask, ' by the way, are you married'? I answered, 'no, I'm single sir'. He then asked again, ' were you married before'? I paused for a while and was wondering if it will be proper to let it out exactly the way it is. Then I decided to come out plain and answered that I was married, and I tried adding to it that I left because of a case of domestic violence, but he didn't want to hear that at all, so, he immediately cut in and said, 'young lady there's no need going ahead with anything else again since you couldn't manage to stay back and remain married, is it the company that you can be able to manage'. At this point, even the two ladies were more than astonished at him than I was. He ended it and said, 'Just forget about the job'. I just left feeling so devastated.

I managed to hold back tears till I got home and nearly cried my eyes out, recalling all that I went through. It's really sad that some people feel they can throw words anyhow at others not minding what those words are doing to their emotions.
Left for me, who ever that interviewer was male or female... That person had no right to judge without intricate details in a deeply personal matter.

Why didn't you query him? With questions such as Is he saying there is no circumstance under which domestic violence occurs that necessitates any of the partners in a marriage leaving?

Would he retain a partnership with another business entity if the business entity he is in partnership with was conducting business in a way that undermined and antagonized the said partnership, too much to overlook? How much harm would he have loved to suffer? If he is free to make comments like "cut losses" as an expression of how much he is willing to risk in a venture, why is he now concerned in a venture of intimacy which is personal to you for which he has no documents to measure emotional metrics involved...

That man can be sued for that ad hominem comment because your marital partnership should have nothing to do with that interview process. If it does, he should prove it in court.

Sue them, even when you don't win. They will suffer the trouble of not controlling their tongue or apologizing after a wrong has been pointed out.

I think you should sue that man, you don't even have to win. Find a lawyer and discourage that behavior. What impetus does he have to make that judgement based on limited information. Information you are uncomfortable with sharing because it's a private matter.

Discourage that nonsense behaviour and stop it from spreading and hurting another human bold enough to cut losses and walk away from domestic violence which no one should have to endure longer than necessary.

Find a lawyer and sue.

That interview would have instantly turned to his interview. And I would have demanded his apology that instant and probably still sue because there is no way to prove you would have given me the job if the issue of the marital circumstance didn't come up if I really wanted that job.

That anyone has an opinion is ok, it's allowed. But you will have to check yourself if you will be importing that opinion to unnecessarily judge a job competence that has nothing to do with a circumstances probably beyond your control or an obvious compromise or decision to avoid worse problem envisaged.

Mehn, as the matter dey now, na snake, scorpion, rats, ants and mosquitoes I dey battle with daily. Funniest thing b say, I pay for 2 years
For rat gums, I prefer to use the resin gums... Rats are smart so don't buy one. Simply assess the doorways or areas that receive alot of rodent traffic and seal it all up with the resin gums (rat gum) the whole length of the door. That means you must buy at least 3 - 4 to seal a door way(you can remove it during daytime). Be careful not to step on it and evacuate every catch asap

However, if it's an epidemic and one wants to decisively eradicate then just use "indosid" capsule/tablets or rat poison just as it happened during that Lassa fever movement. It was bliss experiencing the absence of such heavy looking rodents early evenings onward.

For insects, use "green leaf" powder. It is very effective. I know you may want to be tempted to use a whole lot when you remember the havoc of the insects that invade your space but don't, instead divide one sachet into 3 or 4 parts and use one part on the first wave (it's that good) let the rest remain in the sachet clipped/wrapped and well stored. Use the second wave of the powder 4 - 7 days later to clear the young adults that came looking for their ancestors and replace them in food gathering (also use this opportunity to look for their hide out for more effective wave 3 two weeks after wave 2).

In wave 3 (two weeks later), you are targeting home base and traffic routes in expectation of new spawns, new hatchlings, and new entries. You are looking for spots not well sealed like window to wall spots, within door panels, door frames to walls, manhole meeting pipes ( I had to do mine outside when I found cockroaches where showing up due to the change of the season to a rainy one).

This is important as I find alot of buildings in Lagos available for low to mid income persons are just built without consideration for living comfort just because the person is a tenant and didn't build the house, and worse, without regulations. It's annoying, very.

Personal experience here, if you have ever been invaded by those cockroaches from the airport, you will be thankful you know about green leaf. Those roaches are a different species from those big reddish brown ones we have native to us. Unlike their local counterpart, they are really bold and multiply endlessly in any crevice you can imagine. If you can imagine any crevice, they are there or will fill it shortly. If you bring out food or water, they will come out from their hiding places and embarrass the hell out of you. You just can't win those things easily.

For the mosquitoes, simply use nets to prevent them from entering your space on all openings to the exterior, well sealed ( you can used silicon sealant or adhesive tape). Other preventives is clearing up stagnant water in old drums, gutters, draining tyres of their water etc or clear bushes if you can help it. If you live in the creeks(or places with large fields or a good amount of vegetation) like I did, God help you (those mosquitoes were huge, if you moved through a room, you know for sure when your body hit theirs, heavy).

If you use insecticides, I believe you would be wasting your time because they have built resistance to it, like alot. Also, I don't like the smell of insecticide whether ok or not... I especially hate sniper concoctions... Big smell for nothing yet the cockroaches and mosquitoes hit are so small. In fact these days, those insects move about their business as if nothing is happening meanwhile you applying the sniper are coughing up a storm.

If you want to go all out on mosquitoes , watch the video I will attach... Caveat is you will need electricity to keep them.

It is no joke, you give your whole community relief from mosquitoes doing this. In fact, you can meet your local head/chief for the post of commissioner of mosquito affairs if you will. I hear Ned is campaigning against mosquitoes and malaria, which better way than to attack them like this?

I believe the green leaf will also take care of the scorpions and spiders. By the time you remove these small insects and rodents, you will also have eliminated the geckos too because you have taken away their food( those insects you dealt with earlier). When you don't have any of those around, you will rarely battle with a snake for space outside heating(or comfort). Snakes like warm places to be at, outside feeding, except it's a wandering reptile.

Did I say it was illegal? I said it is immoral. Those type of adult men are perverts who can not find willing partners their own own age so they resort to exploiting young, naive girls. Leave the young girls for the young men, and go find women your age. Stop the exploitation.
You cannot generalize these things. Hope you know even morality is subjective. Also, not in all cases are these types of relationships immoral... Btw why is it that society is not giving the same energy to when the other gender is the younger?

That these people feel alright associating with these other adult persons that are also willing is a right and should not be demonized. it is a fundamental human right regardless of gender. Hence, if a party wishes to de-associate which should also be a right, must it be done by character assassination with the possibility of murder, stigma and societal upheavals and injustice ?

You know there are celebrities in the same abroad that even fit the descriptions of the abuse of power that you speak of and a while lot of others done responsibly in public also... But guess what, the party with the less power reaches a compromise between themselves to discuss how they would benefit from that partnership. It's no different from business partners meetings...

Do you agree? Is it within the law of the land? There.

Even in normal looking marriages, there are usually agreements that are specific to their dynamics (talking about the partners involved here) and it probably won't be ever known to an outsider looking in. It could be an open marriage thingy was agreed upon, it could be open on only one end, who knows... In fact, it is possible the Chidimma case with the TV CEO could have been such with his wife, one might never know.

If you don’t see that as an abuse of power, I don’t know what to tell you. The girl was not emotionally mature to make such a decision and the guy took advantage of her, hence the scream of rape. Stay there and be fooling yourself. The guy is lucky he’s not abroad, he would have been put away for life.
How is that an abuse of power? There are always power differences different social standings of individuals but it can be exercised responsibly. This doesn't look like a case of power abuse like you say... And beside all these deductions of yours are far fetched based on OP's post.

Regardless of age differences people of different ages with far and wide ranges get married. It's an exercisable freedom provided both parties want it... But legally speaking provided they are adults and emancipated.

I have also seen plenty cases of underage marriages in the abroad too by the way but it is different if they are both adults. There are even documentaries pointing at these hypocrisies in the developed world.

You have spoken very well. I don't think a man can just start beating a woman unprovoked. Verbal abuse (and emotional abuse) initiate physical abuse. When there is a problem, you look at the root-cause.
Words so soothing... It's divine. Like how hard can the concept be.

Just being solution driven, where both parties are not unnecessarily thrown under the bus.

Any man who cannot hold it together, cannot maintain sanity in the face of even the vilest provocation; if he thinks anger from a woman's verbal abuse is sufficient justification for physical violence - he should enjoy his life by himself, unmarried. Not everyone is mature enough for marriage. And marriage is not by force.
It is understandable if the vileness happens once in a while or scarcely or maybe I meant one with a noble rationale but not a go-to for a supposed partner, soul mate, a second skin.

Even the good book understands that no man can hold it together long term... It's not just a healthy way to live.

Nothing hurts a man so much as when his own wife disrespects him.

It is even more painful when she shows her disrespect publicly through insults, fighting, etc.

Marriage remains an enigma for some men, they see women as necessary evils.

But really, your choice of life partner matters a lot.
Having accessed the risk, it's essentially a game of choose your poison or even better choose the poison you feel one is ready to be with for a really long time or agreed amount of time.

Marriages that are well thought out, discussed about by both parties interest me because it shows some measure of accountability, understanding or at least communication about the existing dynamic.

It's more like active investing but for emotional affairs.

Is it men that are claiming that they are the heads or is it the bible that u are quoting that said that men are the head?

You say the bible gave simple instructions to husband and wives to have a peaceful loving home. If the instruction was to both parties, how come you are now saying that "if you men wholeheartedly love your wife, the submission comes naturally"? Where is it stated in the bible that a woman submitting to her husband is preconditioned upon her husband loving her?
I saw that too... Her interpretation was uhmm... What's the word now...

It clearly went as a command this way,
"Man, do like this"...
"Woman, do like this"...

Not
"Man, do like this, and woman WILL do like this"

Not
"Man, do like this, and woman WILL do like this having seen man first do"

And some other contradictories existed in part of her post.

You must be living in an alien society.
No one cares about insults and neither do people "rally round" victims
of private insults.

It is height of insensitivity to equate insults with physical violence.

Bruce Lee said, ''I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.''
Think again...
None is outrightly better... They both have advantages and disadvantages. However, all the one you guys keep referring to as "jack of all trades" needs to do to get benefits of both schools of thought is to choose one and focus on reaching the highest level therein while still having vast real world knowledge with potential for application.

In order words, in the spirit of Jeet Kun Do, one can expand on your quote which makes the learner of the 10,000 kicks an masterful attacker. But don't forget what path the pioneers himself took to reach the conclusion which advises the same vast knowledge path while choosing to focus on what you have found useful/cherished/more practical/realistic while discarding less practical ones.

Sometimes, you don't realize the value of what you have learnt until a problem, or a question or a necessity (mother of inventions) forces your mind to unearth things from your different learning experiences. By the time the source of the application of all that knowledge is tracked you find that it was taken from a wide array of knowledge disciplines. And viola, the first model of the solution has been found, it can only get easier from there as fine-tuning only optimizes the solution to an even better version.

No knowledge is a waste, really... Only memory recall has to match correct application to a compatible problem solvable by the aforementioned.

Sometimes memory recall happens subconsciously like during a dreams or agitated state (pressure)
