your first question is because women naturally hardly say yes he first time , why? because they dont want to come of as being seen as an easy catch, so they play the hard to get game, and the guys knowing this fully well continue asking

well as or your second question, its a peculiar behaviour to both sexes,.. generally its difficult to accept breakup especially if you really loved someone and deep in your heart you really want to continue
