Truckpusher:We have learnt from history and we won't repeat the mistake again. May I know your tribe in Rivers state? |
Abagworo:One of the few times I agree with you. |
dearpreye:Your views are needed here having discovered that the once assumed ally Tonyebarcanista has been deceptive. He has revealed his true colours now and appears to be echoing the voice of the ijaws regarding our quest for emancipation. I want to know your position on this with the clearest language possible. |
Yanks101:Tufiaaai! Boy boy for ndi anyi ka nma? Truly some of us have lost our thickness. If you don't know know it today. While you are busy making your small money, those you wish to eat from their crumbs are strengthening themselves to take over your entire lands. Do you doubt me? Why the call for Sharia all over Nigeria? Its a matter of time the minorities of the north will be overwhelmed. Do you the implication? All those opportunities you're talking about can be recreated in Biafra. Think of us controlling our resources and building our economy such that every sector is mounted by our people. We farm and produce, manufacture and fabricate and the market is there in west Africa and central Africa. Forget about Nigeria and think about biafra the land of freedom. |
It remains those of Rivers state and Nnamdi Kanu himself. |
Biafra will come by God's grace. Pls, those who don't want us in their lands should join and support our quest for freedom. We will leave your lands and go back home. Our Yoruba neighbours we need you to sign our petitions en masse. Tell Oba Akiolu that there won't need to drown us if you guys support our desire to leave Nigeria for you. |
WhiteTechnology:If its this thread then I'm on time. I hope you're strong and good? |
TonyeBarcanista:Dearpreye your attention is needed. I'll respond to this your write up later. You accuse us of blackmail by requesting for your cooperation after we supported GEJ smh. Ok! Its like you didn't know what it took Ndigbo to vote Jonathan? You think its easy right? Ok. Our doubts have been cleared. I'll respond more later. |
Truckpusher:Don't call IPOB youths 'touts' because they are not. If you're not properly informed on their activities then you should be a bit hesitant to threaten or insult them. All those people protesting in countries outside Nigeria cannot be touts too. Lower Niger Congress and Biafra are two things with virtually the same goal and the protesters of any of them should not be denigrated. During the militant struggle, SE Igbos never in any way condemned the ND youths so why will you guys start joining our enemies now? Try to view things from a clear perspective and you will understand better. Mind you millions of Igbos are in support of biafra though they might be silent. When a referendum is organised your doubts will be cleared. |
Truckpusher:@Truckpusher are you by any way threatening Ndigbo? I do regard you as an ally but if you resort to threat then I may have to review my perception at you. For tonyebarcanista, we've known his type and have taken our stance too. Its quite surprising to see how you talk to Ndigbo who said they will be neutral. I'll like to here your response then I'll reply you accordingly. Otu anyi si agba onwe anyi oto ebe a adighi nma. |
pazienza: |
Tkester:You're very correct. I've always known that any group of persons or country that can master and manipulate the various arrays of waves would be very able to disable an electronic programmed arsenal. This is because today the level of our technology is dependant on waves. Radio waves, internet and the satellites. If you can manipulate it you will be able to blind your enemies while having a field day pummeling them. I think Russia has been able to achieve that. Its surprising that the mighty US couldn't think beyond this or they may just be pretending to discover Russia's true capabilities. |
When two of your trustworthy allies are at the two opposite ends of a debate its not easy agreeing with one. However, with my analytical skills I'll try to put forward my points and make my position known. Firstly, let every Igbo man know that its we only that are ethnic groups residing in other states such that during election we would be visited and expected to openly endorse a candidate. Other ethnic groups are there too. While its commendable that we are a force to reckon with in various states we must know how to use that to our advantage. We must be able to separate ethnic agenda and political agenda. These two might be strongly correlated but they are not entirely the same. We must consider the individual candidates gunning for the position and see what they have in stock for us and even so encourage but never openly endorsing any. Nigeria doesn't play matured politics. Also, we must know that not every situation is the same as the other. Lagos and Rivers is not the same. Remember we all voted Jonathan because of his person not for party sake and though he may not have delivered much of what we demanded of him, he still wasn't hostile on us plus the other benefits we got from him. Today irrespective of Gej's loss at the polls our conscience still remains strong and clear. Now to Rivers state; we voted en masse for Wike and PDP (take note of my inclusion of PDP). We did it not because Wike promised us anything spectacular nor because his past record with the SE Igbos was anything good but because we didn't want APC around us. All was good until this Biafran issue popped up. It was Wike's test and having critically studied what transpired I can say that Wike didn't get a pass mark. Oh yes I believe in freeglobe's view on how Wike responded but he still didn't pass. Why do I say so? Look at the level of bloodshed from bh but no northern governor condemned them but here we have our own people condemning a peaceful protest and even arresting and shooting our people just to please our enemies. If they are so ready to please the north why should we care about them? Wike will need a lot of convincing to get us back first of all by releasing our innocent IPOB members he arrested. Secondly we will not openly endorse any candidate in Rivers as both candidates are our people irrespective of the fact that we hate APC. Dakuku doesn't appear like one that will antagonise our people so why vote against him? As for political choice like I said at the start of this write up, Ndigbo will have to care less here but ethnical benefits should be left for individuals to consider. So my position is this: No open endorsement of any one and let each individual vote who he believes in after all even the Rivers indigenes vote individually and are the people to benefit most from any candidate that eventually wins. @pazienza, take note we are not abandoning Wike but we can't stick out our necks for him while our brothers are in the dungeon on his own orders. |
InvertedHammer:Ok. I can see you know your onions. What do you think is the way forward? Should the name be reverted to the old one or should Maduka just abandon Nkerehi the way it is now? What we want is solutions and reconciliation. I |
InvertedHammer:Do you that the same Ugo foam you know once had a clash with the entire Umunze wherein he called to police to arrest our people? The stories surrounding such giant strides are not normally smooth. In our case the problem was resolved and we came together to build Umunze to what it is today. You guys must come together to build forgetting the irrelevant things and work for the upliftment of Umuchukwu. His type is very rare. Do not allow your petty pride to kill the wind of goodwill blowing through your community. Many people are wishing for his kind. We are talking about landmark achievements and not promises here. Do you know up till date some people don't speak well of Ugo in Umunze? They have their stories to back up their feelings e.g he took their lands to build infrastructures for our people. He converted some things to other uses instead of the traditional purpose they were meant for etc. Dissident voices must be there but reasonable people will look beyond those things and support the willing heart. He may not be the richest from your place but he has the heart to give. Its uncommon brother. If his only problem with your people is the forceful change in the name of the community then its shameful to say the least even though the process he used may not be good. All over the world there's no time everyone in a group of people will agree to consensus for the good of their community. It has always been by majority or forceful implementation. A referendum was done as was reported whether it was rigged is another case. Appreciate the man you have today before you lose him. Will you rather prefer Nkerehi remained the way it was? |
bigfrancis21:yeah that's true. We speak almost the same like them too. Notice 'ndii' and 'njii'. Also, while they say 'iye' for 'ihe' we say 'ihye'. You need to be very attentive to pick this part. Lol. A very funny dialect I tell you. |
simplycarro:we will do as you have said by December but first of all go online and sign the biafran quest for referendum and you would have done your part. |
soonest:yeah that's our word for 'nwa diana'. |
tochimas:Nwannem nwanyi, aria ebe I nor? |
soonest:Which town in Orumba South? |
soonest:Which town in Orumba South? |
pazienza:For Ekwuluobia downwards there's no significant difference its just that because of their proximity to the central part of Anambra they tend to flow with the dialects of 'ndi agbaelu'. Lol. We share a lot in common tradition and linguistics. Ask any one from that area they will tell you. Also, like its true for all Igboland the farther away you move the variation of dialects get pronounced. An Ekwuluobia man will easily understand all we say than the man from Awka or Owerri. Orumba north speaks the same as us. We all do meet at the market in my town so I know this very well. You can't tell the difference unless you're told. |
DikeOha882:Yes |
bigfrancis21:It is contiguous. From southern Anambra down to northern Imo share a lot in how we speak. We use 'ihe' for things instead of the well known 'ife'. Now the SW anambra share linguistic similarity with their neighbouring Imo communities while we on the SE share linguistic similarity with Okigwe in Imo and Isuochi/umunneochi in Abia state even with the Awgwu areas of Enugu state. A sweet and funny dialect. |
pazienza:Lol. You tried so well in speaking our dialect although with little variations. Notice how you used wu/ghu to represent 'you' in the sentences. I doubt if we do use 'wu' in any of those towns. Its basically 'ghu' we use. Also, when we say 'Ndu gu gam' we don't mean it in the present tense (like our Abia and Imo brothers) but rather in past tense. I.e. I was scared. For the present tense we say; ndu la gum. For a thief we say onye oshi. Lol. 'akala' means discussion. You tried any way. By the way this dialect covers almost the entire old Aguata region. |
pazienza:You know much about Umunze. That's good to know. Ugo was our own Maduka. He got houses scattered all over Nigeria and those who live in those houses are mostly my town's people. Such men are rare to find. I don't know if there's any book written about Ugo? I'll search for it. |
GodMode:What are you saying? If Ndigbo have been migrating out the way majority of Yorubas are thinking then all Igboland would have been empty by now. How long does it take Lagos to get very dry during the Christmas season? That will make you understand what I'm talking about. |
sukkot:Now I know you got nothing to say. Better channel to bile towards something productive. |
pazienza:If what you mean by major roads are the Enugu/PH and the Onitsha/Owerri Express then you are right. But if other roads qualify then there are smoothly tarred roads through Orumba south. Umunze have direct boundary with Abia state through Eziama/Nsogwu(Umunze) road though untarred but well used road. Then the Owerre Ezukala and Ogbunka road. |
sukkot:It will be difficult to convince you but I'll try. I know you're one of the many Yorubas who think Igboland starts and finishes with onitsha, Enugu, Owerri and Aba. Do you know there are yorubas doing business in my town? Do you know we have buses going to Lagos everyday from my town? Do you know there are five of the well known banks in my town? Those big houses that many Igbos here display on nairaland, do you think its all made up? Many Igbo people travel to Lagos daily to buy things and still return back to Igboland. Do you think the transport owners go back empty? Oh maybe you're a kid you can't really add one and two. |
sukkot:Say what you know. Till date the works of my former Igwe is still being told in my home town. A man who even put pipe borne water in some villages that made up my town in the 80's. A man who sponsored many of our people and made them what they are today. Say what you know. How do you think we were able to recover from your 20pounds gift? |
